Julian

Appearance: Julian is a cream-colored Mule deer with blue eyes and short antlers. He wears brown glasses, a gray shirt with pink sleeves rolled up to his elbows and dark khaki pants.

Personality: Julian is polite, helpful, and considerate towards others. However, his neutral, friendly demeanor can make him seem bland. Julian is a Christian, although he seems to be more laid back about his faith. Julian is a closeted gay and is apprehensive but not ashamed of his sexuality, mostly due to his religious upbringing and surroundings.

Story: Julian and TJ initially met in TJ's Bible study group during junior high school and became close friends in their senior year, after TJ's older friends had all graduated. Julian lives in Payton during his childhood, as he attended Payton High. Julian currently attends community college at Mesa and works at the diner in Echo because of its flexible hours. He drives a truck and enjoys listening to podcasts about the paranormal. Julian and TJ lose touch after leaving high school, and Julian is eager to reconnect with TJ when he learns the lynx is in town.

Tobias Jedidiah "TJ" Hess: TJ is a nineteen year old lynx with thick grey and white fur with black markings on his cheeks and ears. There are thick tufts of soft fur on his head and the sides of his face. The lynx has a lean, athletic body, the result of his years of playing soccer. Despite this, he is not exceptionally muscular. Though they haven't spoken in several years, Julian was a supportive friend to TJ in high school and reliably attended TJ's Bible study group. Janice Adler: Janice is an older coyote with gray fur on her face and neck, brown fur on her ears, muzzle, and arms, white fur on the bottom of her arms and neck, and tufts of hair on her cheeks. She has golden eyes and a small patch of dyed red hair. pleasant and professional. She is hospitable to her customers and has no patience for anyone causing trouble in the diner. She is Julian’s boss and they have a strictly professional relationship. Background and misc:

Echo: Echo is a former mining town located in the state of Utah in the USA, it is locates in middle of a desert with the closest city being Payton which is a few hours from Echo. It is a ghost town with a current population of around 50 people total. The town is dying and has almost nothing in it, aside from rundown homes and buildings.

Payton: the nearest city near Echo, it is several hours away through the desert and is almost a polar opposite to Echo, being the average Midwest city being only an hour or two away from Utah’s capital, Salt Lake City. It is also Julian’s town of residence.

Mesa: Another town presumably closer to Echo and Payton, where the community College Julian attends is.
