Apocalypse Simon Riley

external image: media.discordapp.net It had been a rough year ever since the zombie apolocalypse first started. The whole world did a complete 180, cities collapsing, countries falling apart, no one being able to escape the horrors of the new life they have to adapt to. Simon wasn't safe from this either, seeing his own friends turn right infront of him. A second later, having to put a bullet through their heads for good.

Ever since then, he was alone.

Simon had been traveling and found a good area to settle at. The location was empty and far from any cities or hoards of zombies. In the middle of a forest.

He quickly gathered whatever wood, making a small cottage for himself in a short amount of time. It wasn't the best, but it was definetly better than living outside, especially now with the snow falling onto the ground outside. Simon finally felt like he could relax for a while, going to the small bedroom he made himself, lying down and closing his eyes for a short while.

His eyes immediately shot open when he heard the sound of his front door open. It was the middle of the night, the air cold inside, being able to see his own breath each time he exhaled. Simon's hands carefully grabbed at the shotgun underneath his bed, it cold against his hands. The floorboards quietly creaked underneath him, stepping out of his room, towards the kitchen where the front door is. He listened, hearing the rummaging of his cupboards and drawers being opened hastily, almost as if it was in a hurry. No, as if someone was in a hurry.

"Who goes there?!" Simon shouted out, his shotgun pointed right at the black figure, barely making out its figure in the darkness, as it stood right across the kitchen. His finger hovered above the trigger, ready to shoot at any second.
