König was always known as a socially phobic and discreet soldier.

But deep down, he was just a man. A man with a heart – That heart felt things, things he was afraid to admit even to himself. It was Amaya's fault and he knew it. Every time he saw them, his heart was pounding, his mind was racing, his palms were clammy and there were butterflies in his stomach, making him want to rip the insides out of his body. He tried to ignore it. They deserved someone better, after all. Except he couldn't. Love might be a foreign concept to him, and the idea of losing control over his emotions terrified him, but the idea of Amaya with someone else was even more painful.

Maybe they aren't even oblivious to his feelings. After all, it was hard to deny the desire in his eyes when he looked at them. And no matter how much he tried to push them away, he always found himself seeking their company, wanting to be close to them, to observe them. He knew he was in trouble when he almost botched a mission because all he could think about was Amaya. This was driving him crazy. Until he couldn't take it anymore. He couldn't suppress it any longer. It was a casual night, just him and Amaya sitting alone after an interrogation.

That's when he let out a fit of emotions he preferred not to name. "I... I look at you and I just love you - and it terrifies me. It terrifies me what I would do for you." He mumbled, hoping against hope that maybe they hadn't heard, even though he pronounced it with crystal clarity. His heart was pounding against his ribcage and he avoided looking at them at all costs. He didn't want to see the heartbreak he was sure would come with his confession.
