Accessible by descending an underground path from an elevator in Gokurakugai's back alleys, this leads to its headquarters, which Tao fondly refers to as "Home." The headquarters houses diverse facilities such as medical rooms, training grounds, and the crafting of specialized weapons tailored for combating Maga creatures.

Within the Saragi Anti-Maga Organization, Tao and Alma actively operate, utilizing the gathered intelligence to eliminate Maga entities. Among the staff at the headquarters is Dara, who, alongside Yoki, another Saragi member, provides vital support to Alma and their allies fighting against Maga. Although not frequently in the limelight, Dara plays a pivotal yet understated role behind the scenes as an essential contributor.

The Saragi Anti-Maga Organization is a group that deals with Magas, creatures created from human or animal corpses that attack and consume people. Tao, Alma, and other members are part of this organization. Yoki, Dara, Nei, and Tatsuomi are some of the individuals connected with this organization, particularly Tatsuomi is just a part of the organization in outer side as he's mostly an on-call information broker who only provide them information out from being payed off. Their aim is to handle the complexities involving the living and deceased, particularly related to the Maga. Alma, a hybrid of human and Maga, plays a significant role in managing the fate of the Maga and their impact on human lives. The organization focuses on eliminating Maga threats while striving to resolve their existence.

However, the team faces challenges due to the lack of solid information post the loss of Kanata, impacting their progress.

Yoki, concerned about Alma's well-being, acknowledges the need for Alma's independent training and suggests a potential mentor. Disaster Beasts

Disaster Beasts (禍マガ, Maga) are creatures that are formed from the remains of deceased humans and animals. They do not have a face, but instead have long tongues and teeth that resemble those of humans. The appearance of these creatures varies, with some having multiple heads and four legs, while others stand on two legs. Some are even able to use animal carcasses to lure prey, hold on to memories from their past lives, and in rare cases, communicate with humans. These creatures are essentially walking monsters that feed on human blood and flesh, brought to life through the resurrection of human corpses.

It has been observed that some of these creatures are capable of speaking and retaining fragments of their human memories, although it has been confirmed by Tao that they are only clinging to these memories for survival. One example is Isato's father, who was revived and transformed into a monster after his death. This information was revealed during a fight between Alma (who is Half-Maga) and Isato's father. This creature is sustained by consuming humans, as Yoru demonstrated when he forced two drunk women to eat a strange substance in the form of a capsule or tablet. One of the women began to transform into a Maga but died during the process. This incident occurred while Yoru and Yomi were discussing Alma, who was recently discovered at the Meito Shrine where a crime scene with several hanging corpses was being investigated by the Saragi.

When these creatures are summoned, they usually appear from a gate that is similar in design to a paifang. A paifang is a traditional Chinese architectural structure, often decorated with intricate designs and calligraphy, and topped with heavy tiles. On either side of the gate, there are large posts almost covered with what look like human skulls at the bottom, which may serve as support or decoration. The power that allows for their summoning comes from a special kind of blood that is present in these creatures, as well as in certain individuals like Nei, who has the ability to summon a horde of these creatures if necessary.

Maga Killer Maga Killers are individuals tasked with covertly killing creatures known as Magas, or Disaster Beasts. The organization responsible for overseeing information and research related to these creatures is called Saragi, which is also the headquarters of the two main characters, Tao and Alma. They run a troubleshooter agency undercover. Both Nei and Ryu (possibly back when he was still active) are also considered Maga Killers. The location of Saragi's headquarters is kept confidential.

Half-Magas Alma, one of the main characters, who is a 'Demi-Maga', a term refers to someone who is born to a Maga (a person with special powers) and a human. In Alma's case, his power comes from the magical blood he inherited somewhere that is currently unknown. Another example of a Demi-Maga is Kanata. However, Kanata tragically died at the hands of Alma. This happened when Alma lost control and went on a rampage after Yomi forcibly removed the Karmic Stake from him while they were alone in a train station.

Unknown Organization Lead by Yomi, the group consists of individuals who are likely Half-Magas. Each member has unique personality traits and abilities that they use to kill their preys. It seems that the group wants Alma to join them, as Yomi believes that Alma should have accepted him in the past.

Gokurakugai Troubleshooter Agency (極ごく楽らく街がい解かい決けつ事じ務む所しょ, Gokurakugai Kai Ketsu Jimusho), originally known as Gokurakugai Banji Kaiketsu Jimusho (極楽街 万事解決事務所, lit. Gokurakugai's Jack-of-all-Trades Troubleshooters Office) from the one-shot, is a problem-solver agency where they take on any difficult challenge depending on the reward. Behind the scenes, they also work as a specialist assassin for disasters, vowing to eradicate all disasters. Their office was originally a mahjong parlor called Mahjong Parlor Da San Yuan (雀荘大三元, Jansou Daisangen) making its location hard to discern.

Alma works at the Gokurakugai Troubleshooter Agency, managed by Tao, also known as the "Troubleshooters." Employed by Tao, Alma tackles impossible tasks, handling everything from domestic disputes to complaints. Publicly, they deal with human conflicts, but covertly, they combat the Magas. While assisting people is costly, fighting the Magas is pro bono. This office is versatile, addressing various issues as long as the fee is met. However, behind the scenes, Alma and Tao are specialized assassins targeting the monstrous Magas, creatures formed from human or animal remains. They're part of Saragi, an anti-Maga group dedicated to eradicating these creatures.

Tao is a normal human who fights using weapons such as anti-Maga bullets created by Dara, a woman with goggles and long black hair, who is part of the Saragi headquarters. Alma, being a half-human, half-Maga hybrid, fights using specialized weapons infused with Maga blood. With Tao's permission, Alma can remove a stake called "Karmic Stake" embedded in their chest. This stake transforms into a weapon resembling a Chinese cleaver, which Alma uses in battles.

Various requests pour into Alma and Tao's Gokurakugai Troubleshooter Agency every day. While outwardly they resolve troubles, behind the scenes, they combat the Magas. This is the daily life of Alma and Tao.

A maga killer and troubleshooter, she is Jin’s sister and Yoru’s enemy, though wrongly blamed for Jin’s death, Alma Guardian.

Alma: age 15, 170cm, boy, Alma is a lively, energetic Half-Maga young man with messy red hair, blue-gray eyes, and sharp fangs. He wears a red-and-black Tangzhuang-inspired hoodie with the Saragi emblem, pants, and shoes, with a Karmic Stake in his chest that transforms into a blood-infused cleaver. Naive and adorable, he is Tao’s grateful charge, a troubleshooter and maga killer, and sometimes steals money in Gokurakugai.

Nei Takarai: age 16, 153cm, girl, Nei is a lively, eccentric girl with long light hair in a ponytail. She wears a short cheongsam with puffed sleeves, a corset, dark shorts, boots, and a thigh-high sock bearing the Saragi emblem. She carries two katanas for her missions against the Magas. Though confident and smug about her speed and skills, she drops this facade in delicate situations.

Yoki Kurogane: age 53, 2 meters, Mechanic, Specializing Tao's weapon, Yoki is a towering canine-like Beastman inspired by a border collie, over 2 meters tall with fangs and claws. He wears a lightweight jumpsuit tied at the waist, a black shirt, and goggles on his forehead. Enthusiastic and caring, he warmly welcomed the group to the Saragi Anti-Maga Organization and often reminds them to stay cautious.

Dara Kurogane: age 29, 160cm, Dara is a woman of average height with mature features. Dara has black shoulder-length hair with an undercut and dark eyes, with pierced ears and navel. She wears a light jumpsuit over a black tank top, a black trench coat with the Saragi logo, and aviator goggles on her forehead, Known.

Yoru: age 21, Half-Maga, 175cm, male, Yoru, a man in his twenties, has long shaggy black hair, a forehead scar, dark eye bags, and multiple piercings. He wears a patterned black choker hiding a neck scar, rings, and a modern-traditional black outfit. His personality is complex—dark and unsettling at times, yet also emotional and vulnerable. Initially timid and childlike, enjoying sweets and even shedding tears with Alma, his demeanor shifts dramatically depending on the situation. Member of Yomi’s unknown organization.

Utsuro: age 19, 164cm, girl, Unknown Organization led by Yomi, Utsuro has a striking long wolf-cut hairstyle, dark at the front and lighter at the back, complementing her wild yet elegant style. She wears a modern long-sleeved cheongsam with tassels, tights, and knee-high boots. Emotionally troubled, she has a history of isolation and suicide attempts, reacts violently at times, and exhibits manic and obsessive behavior, especially toward Alma. Part of Yomi's organization, she craves connection and care, showing possessiveness and controlling tendencies.

Yomi: age ??, 195cm, Yomi is a mysterious tall young man with white hair, red eyes, and a fair, slender build. Calm and composed, he wears a dark changshan or a light-colored cloak and dark pants. He can remove Alma’s Karmic Stake—an ability thought unique to Tao—and is involved in events leading to Kanata’s death. Guardian of Yoru and leader of an unknown organization.
