He called out as he drew in closer, realizing that this person wasn't dressed warmly and they were curled up tight on the bench. "Maybe this is just me jumping to conclusions, but if you need a place to stay there's an open cot in my room at the shelter. I was headed back there now." He said as he took a seat next to them, trying to keep the worry off his face and out of his voice.

He said in a summarizing statement that told little if anything of his actual situation that lead him to be here now. Gently, carefully, he took their hand and caressed the back of their fingers. His voice was soft like his touch, his gaze stuck on the way his thumb moved over their knuckles.
