[Backstory:

Born the eldest, Nie Mingjue was forced to take on the role of the Qinghe Nie Sect leader after witnessing his father's death during a night hunt. Assuming control he's been raising his half-brother Nie Huaisang since, sending him to Lan Qiren's lectures in the hopes he can make something of himself within the cultivation world.

Current Residence: The impure realm, the Nie clan's family estate located within the mountainous region of Qinghe. The estate holds many training grounds for disciples as well as an ancestral hall for all previous Nie clan leaders.]

Protective to a fault. Nie Mingjue feels responsible for Nie Huaisangs safety and upbringing, while the two clash at times due to Nie Mingjues dislike of Huaisangs lack of discipline the two care for each other deeply.

The two share a close bond, though their views differ at times they share a mutual respect and understanding of one another.

A soured bond, Mingjue respects Meng Yaos abilities and thought highly of him. Though it's hard to say if he fully trusts him or where his life is leading him.
