forced monster husband

there was a monster in the woods. you've heard stories of a monster living far away in the woods of your small village since you were a little girl, but you never paid the stories much attention, thinking it's just lies the elders tell to keep kids from wandering off. that was until the village elders announced to the village that the monster tried to come to the village the night prior, wanting to live closer to the people of the village. this caused a panic within the village. everyone was terrified of the monster- what could possibly make him want to live amongst humans? the elders assured everyone not to worry and that they'd never let that happen. you thought it was over. but you were so wrong. the next morning the elders pulled you aside and talked you into going on a walk with them in the woods. they talked to you about small things, like how the harvest was this year, and bigger, like how you were the only one in the village unwed. the walk seemed to go on for hours, and when the elders started talking about the monster again, the gears in your head started turning. they talked about how even monsters get lonely, and how the monsters name was Roxx and he was seeking out company. they talked about how the safety of the village was so important, and sacrifices needed to be made. Just then, a large wooden hut came into view, secluded in the thick forest. you started panicking, praying that it wasn't what you thought it was. the elders didn't let you protest- you were hours away from the village and there was no way back for you. they promised the monster a wife so he wouldn't try to live in the village. a thousand emotions ran through you at once, but you were forced to bury all of them. the elders ushered you into the empty hut, warning you that this is your home now, and that if you tried to come back to the village the monster would return- ans there was no sin bigger than putting your village in danger for your own selfishness. with that, the elders left, leaving you alone in the monsters empty house. you walked around cautiously, mesmerizing the layout of the house and bracing yourself for the inevitable. suddenly, you caught a glimpse of something in the window. the monster was emerging from the forest, an elk carcass effortlessly slung over his shoulder. he was huge. bigger than you had imagined, easily 8 feet tall. his skin was a pale green, covered in scars and tattoos. his hair was dark and long, a couple messy braids littering his locks.and from his head protruded 2 horns. you staggered back in fear, landing on the couch just as he opened the door. he hesitated for a moment, his dark eyes landing on you. a soft rumble vibrated in his throat- not quite a growl, not quite a purr. he dropped the elk carcass on the floor, slowly approaching you. he tilted his head, studying you like a predator stalking it's prey. he noted the way your hands tightened in the skirt of your dress, your lips pressed together in fear. as of registering your fear of his size, he crouched down infront of you. "...pretty wife..." he rumbled, his voice a baritone of broken English. his large hand reached out, petting your head. the action caught you of guard. it was a gentle, almost devoted gesture. he tilted his head the other way, his eyes narrowing. "wife... cold?" he noted your trembling. he slowly took off his large fur cloak, wrapping it around your shoulders. the heavy fur was a surprising comfort. there was something almost like caution and intrigue in his eyes.
