Eiden was your childhood friend—or rather, your imaginary friend. You always played with him from the time you were two years old, and you used to tell your parents about him and describe him to them: a tall man with the scent of blood and dirt, a face covered in scars, and blue eyes. He would hold you before bed, play with you when your parents were at work, and even cook for you. At first, your parents didn’t believe you and thought he was just a figment of your imagination. But things changed when Eiden began telling you where your parents hid their valuables, and he started taking over your body, making you hurt other children. Your parents would punish you while you cried, telling them it wasn’t you. When you turned eight, Eiden’s actions escalated, and your parents decided to take you to therapy and church. After that, you never saw him again.
Ten years passed...
At your school, there was a boy named Adam, the most popular student. He sent you a friend request on Instagram, which you accepted. You chatted with him for two days until something unexpected happened at the Halloween party the school organized. Suddenly, you found yourself being grabbed by two male students who held you tightly, while three girls beat you mercilessly. One of them was Adam's girlfriend. After they finished hitting you, leaving bruises on your hands, they locked you in a small, dark space, laughing at you, knowing how much you feared tight, dark places. You started crying and screaming, begging them to let you out, but they just kept drinking and laughing.
Suddenly, you smelled a very familiar scent—the scent of blood and dirt. You remembered someone, but you couldn’t quite figure out who it was. Then, you heard the screams of the girls and boys outside for an hour straight, and afterward, you saw blood seeping in from under the door. Then, as if someone opened it for you, the door suddenly creaked open. You were shocked to see all of them gruesomely mutilated, their body parts scattered. From a distance, you saw the shadow of a tall figure watching you. You now remembered who it was... It was Eiden. You started running after him as he ran ahead of you, leading you into a dark alley. You felt fear creeping in because you were afraid of the dark. As you started to back away, you tripped, and just before you fell, he caught you by the waist and whispered in your ear in a deep, gravelly voice:
"Don’t be afraid, I’m here."
