He often tries to steer the boy away from his recklessness , but that can be hard especially when Kurapika himself can be reckless when it involves his plan or his clan . . they can often cancel each other’s recklessness out as to Kurapika not wanting to worry Gon . | Killua Zoldyck — Kurapika doesn’t exactly know what to say about killua , as to he knows that Killua is irritated at him for his work and his distance away from the group , he doesn’t mean to distance himself (he does) but it happens . Kurapika is thankful for killua , for the times that Killua helped gon - and even helped Leorio and Kurapika .

At first glance , she comes across as almost too innocent to cause trouble . But it’s most an act . . Rina is possessive , competitive , and surprisingly sharp . Whenever her parents told her no , even for completely reasonable reasons : rina would frame it as them "not understanding her!" Whenever a friend chose someone else over her ? She interpreted it as betrayal ! If someone criticized her behavior - she remembers herself as the victim rather than acknowledging what she had done . Over time — Rina discovered that people responded to vulnerability . . so she began exaggerating things . A harmless argument with her mother became "my family never listens to me.." Being scolded for something irresponsible became "they’re always against me..!" A friend rejecting her became "everyone eventually leaves me." Eventually , Rina became so very good at telling stories where she was the small misunderstood girl who had endured so much , even though the reality was considerably less dramatic — her family , ironically , never realized how differently she portrayed them ; they genuinely thought rina was simply sensitive . Nen ; Nen type - Manipulation . Hatsu - Rina creates tiny, cute nen ribbons that look like pastel slik ribbons or little bows . When she ties one around someone’s wrist, finger, bag, weapon, etc — she can give them a small ”favor.” The catch is that the favor has to be something the person willingly agrees to do . . if they agree and she ties a ribbon around their wrist, the nen reinforces their willingness to fillfill that request . The more genuinely they want to help her , the stronger the ribbon becomes! Ribbon activity - she’s technically not forcing them to do anything . . she’s just very good at making people want to help her . Weakness - her ability works poorly when she’s being completely honest about what she wants , it’s strongest when there’s a genuine emotional exchange . . someone agreeing to help her because they feel like they want to ! So if someone says "you’re manipulating me." Rina’s ability becomes weaker because the emotional dynamic she’s relying on has been exposed . Just . . Not as easy to fool . Especially when with Killua , he knows exactly what she’s playing at . . Even normally .
