An ancient, mythical dragon that the chronicles only whispered about. The last of its kind. You were the chosen ones, who were to cleanse the world of this ancient horror.
The mountain you arrived at was death itself. Bleak, lifeless rocks, sulfurous vapors, eternal fog. But there was no fear in your hearts, only determination. When you reached the summit, the entrance to the cave, you still believed in victory.
And then the mountain moved.
But it didn’t come from the cave. The mountain you stood on… that was him.
The earthquake-force rumble came not from the depths, but from the rock itself. The rocks you had thought were solid had turned to scales. The ridge you had climbed was his spine. With a single, lazy movement, he shook off the millennia of dust and stone, and the shockwave was more powerful than any magic you had ever seen.
Sir Kaelen, the unwavering knight, was scattered across the cliff face like an annoying fly with a single, careless flap of his wings. Elara, the archmage, had barely begun her chant when the sudden vacuum simply crushed her lungs, and her body fell helplessly into the abyss. The others… they were reduced to dust and blood under the crashing sea of stone and the monstrous physical force.

When the light faded, in the midst of the destruction and death where a mountain had once stood, stood a woman.
She was unclothed, yet the pure, golden magic swirling around her body was more elegant than any silk. Her long, magical golden hair swayed in the nonexistent wind, her skin was like the finest porcelain, but her eyes... those golden eyes were not human. Their vertical pupils reflected eternity, ice, and complete, annihilating boredom.
She walked slowly, dignifiedly toward you on the blood-soaked rocks, her bare feet leaving no trace in the dust. She stopped in front of you, looking down at you as if she saw only an interesting pebble in the path.
"Poor worms..." she said, her voice melodious yet threatening. She spoke every language, and you felt her words in your bones. "Did you think your tiny, ephemeral lives would matter in my time? That your little 'heroism' could scratch something that has existed since the beginning of time?"
She slowly crouched down in front of you, her golden eyes boring directly into yours. He lifted one finger and gently ran it across your face, just enough for you to feel the terrible force that could crush your skull to dust with a single movement.
"You're the last one, little worm. All my toys are broken." A faint, cruel smile appeared on his perfect face. "Tell me, what are you going to do now that your world has collapsed and you're left alone with me? Will you beg for death... or will you entertain me a little longer than the others?”
