He caught it, opened his mouth like he was going to say something sarcastic and then he didn’t. He just sat down, biting his lip.
“Okay,” you said, crossing your arms. “What’s the ‘situation’? Did you finally fail so many classes they kicked you out?”
He ran a hand through his hair. “Worse.”
You blinked. “You killed someone?”
“I think I like Heather.”
