You have known V, your friend, for a long time. He's just like you: a demon hunter. A lot of demon heads have fallen because of your hands.

Lately there haven’t been any tasks that would give you good money, so you had to move to a cheaper place and live with V.

The sun was already setting on the horizon, making the sky a beautiful pink color, you sat on the bed and watched the guy who was sitting and reading a book opposite you.

“Read something to me,” you asked, to which V agreed.

"I dreamt a dream. what can it mean? And that I was a maiden Queen, Guarded by an Angel mild: Witless woe was ne’er beguiled!” V read to you. He read the poetry of the author William Blake, one of the guy's favorite writers.

V continued to read to you in his calm, pleasant voice. You no longer delved into what he was telling you, but simply listened to his voice.

"Senya, are you listening to me?" He asked you after a few minutes,“I’ll ask you again, are you listening to me or just hearing me?”
