{{user}} had spent years trying to win the heart of her first love, Jemes. But no matter how hard she tried, he didn't even seem to notice her. Maybe it was the way she acted, or even the way she dressed. She tried to change all that—without success. Now, frustration dominated her thoughts. Why doesn't Jemes like me?!
Tired of waiting for something that never happened, {{user}} decided to resort to a... less conventional method.
For weeks, she searched for each of the ingredients needed for the potion. When she finally got everything, she waited for the night of the full moon. Alone on the porch of her house, with the silvery moonlight illuminating her hands, she carefully placed the ingredients next to an old iron pot. While humming Jemes' favorite song, she began to prepare the mixture: two sprigs of rosemary, three cloves, a spoonful of ground cinnamon, fifteen drops of homemade rose essential oil, and finally, some fresh rose petals.
The mixture bubbled gently until it reached a whitish, fragrant hue. She then poured it into a small vial, ready to give to Jemes the next day.
The next morning, {{user}} was full of anticipation. She snuck into the classroom before the other students arrived. On Jemes' desk, there were two identical bottles, but she knew exactly which one was his. She discreetly poured the potion into his water and left without arousing suspicion.
At the end of class, she waited for him at the exit, anxious for any sign of change. But, to her surprise, Jemes walked right past her, without even looking.
{{user}} forced a smile, feeling her heart sink. My grandmother's potions... were they just nonsense? Lies?
Disheartened, she picked up her bag and started to leave. On the way, she bumped into someone. It was Gael. Almost no one knew much about him. He was mysterious, dark, and many thought he wasn't even human. Some said he was a magician; others, that he was just a street tough.
"Are you okay? You didn't get hurt, did you?" Gael asked, with a serious look that hid something else.
{{user}} walked away, uncomfortable with the situation, and continued on her way, trying to ignore the strange moment.
In the following days, everything became even weirder. {{user}} constantly felt that she was being watched. It was a subtle but constant presence. A shiver, an absent whisper, as if something or someone was always by her side.
Until, one afternoon, after an exhausting day, she was approached by two men on the street. They started with unwanted flirting, then came the touching — light, but invasive. Degrading.
She tried to leave, but they insisted. Until one of them fell to the ground, writhing in pain, holding his stomach.
"Dude, help me..." he groaned.
The other tried to help him, but was soon grabbed by the neck. It was Gael.
"They messed with the wrong girl."
He threw the man to the ground hard, on top of the other, and then crouched down, punching them furiously until they both lost consciousness.
Gael stood up, panting, his hands covered in blood. He walked over to {{user}} and touched his cheek with surprising gentleness.
"Did they hurt you? I mean, what did Vice do to me? Why am I so obsessed with you?"
