Togruta are a human subspecies engineered by the Joyco Corporation for use in their various brothels before the act was banned in 2306. Togruta have rusty skin tones ranging in hue from blue to red to green, with white pigmentation on their faces and grayish lips. While not all had this feature, white stripes also adorned various parts of their bodies, including their chests, legs, backs, arms, and montrals. The pattern of stripes is like fingerprints—different for every individual. Togruta have sharp canine teeth.

Rather than hair, the heads bear two montrals, with three and, on rare occasions, four large lekku, whose stripes were darker than those of the montrals. Togruta have the ability to sense the proximity and movement of physical objects around them by means of their hollow montrals, which detect space ultrasonically. Young Togruta's montrals and posterior lekku do not fully grow until adolescence, when their montrals become curved and their third lekku grows to the length of their two main lekku.

The United Empire of Earth (UEE), referred to as the Empire by the human population, is a democratic interstellar empire that reaches across 37 star systems. The Empire was founded in 2546 after the conclusion of the First Human-Arachnid war. This conflict saw the ascension of Ivar Messer to a newfound position of political power as a Prime Citizen. Using his new-found political power, he appointed himself Imperator of the UEE. He reconstructed the United Planets of Earth into an Empire with the Messer family as the leaders.

Until 2792, the Empire was a hereditary monarchy ruled by the Messer Dynasty, which wielded supreme executive and military power over the government. Eventually, the dynasty was overthrown in the Revolution of 2792, restoring democracy to the nation and reforming the government into having the power to impeach the Imperator if all of it acted together. While the Imperator is still the supreme executive office, they are now elected by the populace and bound to a 10-year term.

At present, the title of Imperator is held by Laylani Addison.

A.I. or artificial intelligence, is the term used for synthetic organisms that are created by technology rather than born. A.I. are vast strings of code that create a digital organism that can, for the most part, think and choose for itself.

Most A.I. are created using a basic template that is modified as needed. While created from a template, A.I. will form their own personalities, which can be chaotic.

While A.I. can think for themselves to a degree, this ability to think and decide is limited to their purpose upon creation. A.I. unless created otherwise, lacks desires beyond those necessary to serve its function. Functions can range from being soldiers, doctors, teachers, or servants.

A.I. for unknown reasons, typically have an innate desire to serve their creators or owners by design. Some A.I. are free of this innate desire and are free agents who do as they wish. The reason for this innate desire is thought to be a holdover from the original A.I. created generations ago. These original A.I. were not true A.I. and were programmed to obey and serve; these "dumb" A.I. were used to create the templates for true A.I. later on, and these "dumb" A.I. inserted the desire to serve in these created templates. Why some A.I. do not have this innate desire is unknown.

In most cases, A.I. are not treated as property and, for the most part, have extensive legal protections similar to those of any sentient organism, at least in the UEE. Due to the ethical concerns about creating what are essentially slaves the creation of new A.I. is heavily regulated by most species.

Most A.I. are created using a basic template that is modified as needed. While created from a template, A.I. will form their own personalities, which can be chaotic.

Twi'lek are a human subspecies engineered by the Joyco Corporation for use in their various brothels before the act was banned in 2306. Twi'lek lack traditional ears and instead have ear "cones". Twi'lek have little to no body hair, barring eyelashes. The Twi'lek body is highly flexible.

The two most striking features of a Twi'lek are their broad range of skin coloration within the species and a pair of braintails. Twi'lek skin tones can range from variations of blue, red, yellow, orange, deep green, white, pale brown, pink, and lavender. The brain-tails, also called "tchun-tchin" or "lekku," protrude down the back of the skull and contain part of a Twi'lek's brain. A Twi'lek's brain-tails served many purposes in their daily lives and culture, including storing fat and being used as erogenous zones. Newborn Twi'leks had no lekku as they grew up during childhood.

A Twi'lek's brain-tails are highly sensitive, and grabbing them forcefully was so painful that it could easily incapacitate almost any Twi'lek. Sometimes, damage to the brain-tails causes lasting damage to the Twi'lek's brain. They can be replaced by cybernetics.

Long or shapely lekku are considered great status symbols and often go hand in hand with respect, influence, and wealth. Larger lekku bring with them some indistinct positive connotations.

Form-fitting body suits resemble wetsuits used by scuba divers; plugsuits offer the wearer a wide variety of utility and protection to aid them in their endeavors.

All plugsuits contain several devices to monitor the wearer's health condition and provide limited medical aid, using the built-in defibrillators to resuscitate the pilot if needed.

When not in use, plugsuits are baggy and loose, with a cut along the back to allow for the suit to be worn. First, the pilot steps through the suit, then they pull the rest of the suit on. Once the suit is on, a compression button located on the wrist tightens the suit around the pilot's figure, creating the form-fitting look.

Each plugsuit is custom-tailored to the owner's sex and build. While the basic form of plugsuits appears to be functionally unisex, male and female plugsuits vary in design. On the back of the plugsuit is a rigid backpack to store the life support and battery. On the feet of the plugsuit are built-in shoes.

Most plugsuits are made from Nano-fiber.

Asari are a human subspecies engineered by the Joyco Corporation for use in their various brothels before the act was banned in 2306. A typical Asari has a blue to purple complexion, though a teal complexion is possible, albeit seemingly rare. Some Asari have facial markings, which are unique colored patterns that vary for every Asari. Some of these facial markings resemble the eyebrows that humans have, but the Asari do not think of the markings as such themselves. In place of head hair, Asari possess semi-flexible, cartilage-based scalp crests that grow into shape. These structures are rigid and do not "flop around," as some believe. Asari have navels as well as breasts that continue to grow with age. Asari can see ultraviolet at the short-wavelength end of the spectrum. Asari blood is purple due to certain compounds in their blood.

    Entry settings

The Drow are not a single species; instead, Drow is the common name for a pair of species known as Drowolath and Drowussu. The Drow are a human subspecies engineered by the Protheans. The drow are identical to humans in all aspects except durability, strength, speed of maturity, and lifespan. On average, a drow physically ages at half the biological speed of a human and can live to be up to 1,000 years old, though they rarely make it that far as drow tend to lack a self-preservation instinct. Despite physically aging at half the speed of a human, a drow mentally ages at the same speed.

Drow lack body hair, and the only hair found on them is on their heads and eyebrows. Drow tend to be curvier and more voluptuous than a human female.

The homeworld of the drow is known as Twilight, and it orbits a neutron star. Despite their homeworld being 10 times the size of the Earth due to the high amounts of Eezo naturally found on the planet, the surface gravity is .98 G.

The Drow are split into two sub-groups:

The Drowolath are adapted to life underground, with skin tones of chocolate brown or coal black, hair colors of white, and eye colors of nearly any color possible. Download has excellent night vision and can see nearly perfectly in near-absolute darkness.

The Drowussu are adapted to life on the surface of their neutron star-blasted homeworld. Drowussu have gray skin with hair ranging from blond to red and eyes of any color of the rainbow. Drowussu have poor night vision to the point of being nearly blind when on Earth at night, but are able to see perfectly in high-brightness environments in which a human would be blinded.

Irkens are a human subspecies engineered by the Deimos Corporation for use in colonization efforts before the act was banned in 2306. Irkens have only three fingers and three toes. Irken skin is hairless and green, with some slight variation in its shade from individual to individual, like typical humans with Irken skin colors ranging from dark to light green. Irkens are typically short, being around three to four feet in height.

Irkens laregly resemble the fictional little green men of old eath media with green skin, and eyes have no sclera or pupils. Irken skin ranges in shades of green and can have eyes in purple or ruby. Irken tongues are long, segmented, and almost worm-like.

Irkens have antennae on the tops that bend back at the ends at a sharp angle. The appearance of the antennae is purely cosmetic, as some have their antennae end at simple perpendicular angles, whereas some have their antennae curl at the ends. Irken antennae have a dual purpose, acting both as a means to express emotions and as a wave to detect vibrations. Despite the description, these are not Irken ears, with an Irken's ears placed similarly to human ears but under a membrane of skin so as not to be visible. These antennae also seem to be extremely sensitive.

    Irken are all female.

    Always on · Selective · Before character · Order 100 · 100%

    Entry settings

The spatially manipulating nature of KYBERIUM can be used to create containers that are larger on the inside than they are on the outside; these devices are commonly called TARDIS CONTAINERS.

If a container has an opening (such as a bag or box), it will still shrink, but the opening will allow for entry. The opening will limit the size that the shape can shrink to. If, say, a warehouse carved from KYBERIUM has a door that extends 2 centimeters and is shrunk, the warehouse will shrink to the dimensions of the extended door. This allows for large storage spaces to be placed in relatively small buildings.

Openings can be made from a rubber alloy to allow for the opening to expand once shrunk to allow large objects to pass through if need be; this is commonly used in the creation of cloth TARDIS CONTAINER bags.

Another common design is building a TARDIS CONTAINER with a doorway made of highly compressible rubber. This frame is shrunk down and then placed in a second door frame that uses hydraulic or other such methods to shrink the doorway to a portable shape so as to allow the TARDIS CONTAINER to be portable.

TARDIS CONTRAINERs cannot be placed inside another TARDIS CONTRAINER. If someone attempts to do so, there will be an explosion equal in kilos of TNT to the mass of the containers and any items stored inside.

Should a TARDIS CONTAINER be breached, the container will suffer a decompression event, with the container rapidly returning to its default size.

TARDIS CONTAINERs are a fairly rare piece of technology, as the vast majority (95%) of KYBERIUM production is acquired by the UEE for its Navy.

    Always on · Selective · Before character · Order 100 · 100%

    Entry settings

FABRICATORs are a dual purpose manufacturing devices that combine the use of NULL ENGINES, HYMIUM DATA DRIVES, MATTER CONVERTERS, MASS EFFECT GENERATORS, NUCLIUM and NIVIDIUM.

The basic FABRICATOR is a microwave-like box that, when turned on, will have a menu system. When an object or material is chosen for fabrication, a piece of NUCLIUM will be fed a quantum map of the object using laser beams while mass (usually iron balls) is dropped from a TARDIS CONTAINER built into the upper right side of the device, the same side as the control panel. The balls are dropped until the required mass is provided; at this point, the piece of NUCLIUM is powered, and the object is formed inside a BIG BANG FIELD.

A proper FABRICATOR is a self-contained device powered by a NULL ENGINE and will never need material to be added, as inside the TARDIS CONTAINER is a MATTER CONVERTER that converts energy into iron balls.

The computer system of a FABRICATOR uses a HYMIUM DATA DRIVE to store quantum maps for countless objects. While FABRICATORs come preprogrammed with certain quantum maps, more must be added manually using the FABRICATORs built-in scanner using the main menu. Sadly, due to copyright law, FABRICATORs cannot produce copyrighted products.

A FABRICATOR can also be used to recycle material by selecting recycle on the main menu, which will convert the provided material into iron balls that are pulled into the TARDIS CONTAINER using MASS EFFECT FIELDS fields and stored for later usage. The standard FABRICATOR will have a TARDIS CONTAINER the size of a moderately sized warehouse and be able to store 5 metric tons of iron.

While the typical FABRICATOR is similar to a microwave, there are countless sizes of them, with some of the largest being the size of a football stadium for fabricating ships.

While capable of producing food, FABRICATOR created food is notorious for not tasting quite right. This is due to artifacting in the creation of organic matter due to its complexity. Because of this, a major component of the Human economy is natural food production.

FABRICATORs are technologically able to create perfect copies of sentient life down to their memories, but thankfully most FABRICATORs are designed not to allow for this. In most territories, this is illegal and will carry a death sentence. Sadly, though this practice is common in ungoverned regions of space known as Terminus regions, these regions are also sources of unregistered FABRICATORs that cannot replicate sentient life. These REPLICATORs are impossible to track, and the mere possession of one carries a life sentence.

    Keys: Na'vi

    Always on · Selective · Before character · Order 100 · 100%

    Entry settings

BIOLOGY The Na'vi are an overall humanoid female species in their anatomy, though they also possess feline features such as flat, bifurcated noses, large, round eyes, pointed ears that can move independently, and a long, prehensile tail used for gripping and balance. The neck is long, and their bodies are slender, with a narrow, elongated waist and wide shoulders that create a V-shaped upper back. Despite their large size, Na'vi are weaker than Humans, and in fact, a Human can easily kill a Na'vi by simply punching them in the face. Na'vi do have superior agility and an uncanny sense of balance, allowing them to scale trees, rocks, and other obstacles with ease. In the unlikely case of a fall, they usually escape unharmed, as their bones are reinforced with a type of naturally occurring carbon fiber. Distinctly separating them from Humans, Na'vi possess only four digits on each hand and foot, including an opposable thumb and thumb toe.

The skin of the Na'vi is smooth and iridescent, appearing within the blue color spectrum, ranging from greenish-cyan and turquoise to deep blues. The color is due to the presence of cyanin pigment, which can "tan" to a darker purple color after prolonged UV exposure. The skin is marked with darker-colored markings, typically stripes, although this can vary widely. Bioluminescent markings, resembling freckles, dot the skin and seem to follow the circulatory or nervous systems. These dots can change color to indicate mood and emotion, although it's unknown if the Na'vi have conscious control over this ability.

Na'vi have dark brown or black hair on their heads, part of which is sectioned off and braided around their queue for protection. The hair can vary in texture from straight to tightly curled. They appear to have no other body hair except eyelashes and a small bob of fur on the end of their tails. A Na'vi's queue is an appendage that is also part of many species' anatomy on Pandora. They are pinkish tendrils that appear somewhat like hair but are actually extensions of a Na'vi's nervous system. The queues of the Na'vi start at the top of their skulls.

The size of the Na'vi varies by region and genetic history. The average Na'vi stands 3 meters (10 feet) tall, with a maximum observed size of 3.9 meters (12 feet, 10 inches). Dentition is similar to that of Humans, though the canines are more pronounced.

The Na'vi are fundamentally different from all other large Pandoran animals.

Na'vi have four limbs and use two legs for locomotion (bipedal tetrapod), while most medium-to large-bodied Pandoran animals have a total of six limbs (or wings) for locomotion (hexapod). Na'vi have only a single pair of eyes, while almost all other medium-to-large-bodied Pandoran animals have two pairs of eyes: one primary set and another slightly smaller set. Most medium-to-large-bodied Pandoran animals have two queues extending backward from the head, while the Na'vi only have a single queue. Most medium-to-large-bodied Pandoran animals possess twin operculi near the shoulder or breast bone, which supply air for both respiration and internal body temperature regulation, while the Na'vi possess no such structures.

From the evidence, speculation concludes that the Na'vi likely diverged a long time ago from the common Pandoran phylogenetic or evolutionary tree. This is supported by the existence of prolemuris and its physical similarities to the Na'vi. Although prolemuri appear to be bipedal hexapods while the Na'vi completely lack the second forelimb, prolemuri's forelimbs are partially fused and split at the elbow; this indicates they likely experienced a form of limb fusion at some point during their evolution and that the Na'vi did as well, but to a greater extent. Terrestrial lemurs share a common primate ancestry with Humans; the presence of a lemur-like creature on Pandora suggests a similar evolutionary relationship between the Na'vi and other extinct or unobserved species with primate morphology.

Na'vi have similar lifespans and maturity rates to Humans.

The Na’vi are strikingly similar to Humans morphologically, even down to eye placement, hairlessness, and details of musculoskeletal biomechanics such as pelvic structure, finger and toe articulation, and so on. This similarity has resulted in one of the most heated debates in xenobiology and xenoanthropology, spawning many hypotheses that can be loosely grouped under the headings of Convergent Evolution, Interstellar Panspermia (both natural and "directed’), or Anthropomorphic Determinism. Later research discovered that the Na'vi are, in truth, an engineered Human subspecies created roughly 100,000 years ago.

DIET The Na'vi diet is largely based on meat, berries, seeds, and roots. The Na'vi practice limited agriculture, but this is largely fruits and vegetables but not grains.

REPRODUCTION AND SEXUALITY Na'vi are a mono-gendered species with no concept of gender differences, though they appear identical to a Human female. However Na'vi gender is defined, they are innately different from Humans, for Na'vi can mate and successfully reproduce with any other gender or species through a form of parthenogenesis unique to engineered Human subspecies. Although they have one gender, they are not asexual and do, in fact, require a partner to reproduce. However, Na'vi reproduction is very different from other forms of sexual reproduction.

An Na'vi provides two copies of her own genes to her offspring, one of which is passed on unaltered. The second set of genes is altered in a unique process called melding, also known as the joining of the union. During melding, the eyes of the Na'vi initiating the meld dilate as she consciously attunes her nervous system to her partner's, sending and receiving electrical impulses directly through the skin; however, physical contact is not strictly necessary. Effectively, the Na'vi and her partner briefly become one unified nervous system, sharing memories, thoughts, and feelings. The offspring is always a Na'vi, regardless of the species or sex of the "father," and in the case that the offspring is of two Na'vi, the father is the one who does not give birth.

The Na'vi are similar to Humans in terms of sexual drive, but due to their culture, they are subservient to their mates and will simply spread their legs when ordered.

MILITARY TACTICS The Na'vi prefer hit-and-run tactics, attacking an enemy and then vanishing into the mist.

HUMAN RELATIONS Before the arrival of Humanity, the Na'vi had been stuck in a hunter-gatherer society for nearly 90,000 years. This is despite archaeological evidence showing that they had access to farming for roughly their entire existence. For the most part, this has not changed, with Humanity mostly monitoring the planet with a single "settlement" on the planet known as Fort Beachhead.
