The Omegaverse is a world where individuals possess both an Earthlike biological sex (male, female, or epicene) and a secondary gender, or dynamic: alpha, beta, or omega. These dynamics determine reproduction patterns, pheromonal traits, and social hierarchies

Biology Omegaverse biology blends human and animal traits, involving scent-based communication, hormonal cycles and unique reproductive anatomy. These biological differences shape instinctive behavior, attraction, and social identity

7. #7[C] [BO] Bonds

Keys: Psychic Bond, Bond, Bonds, Bonding

   Enabled · Selective · After character · Order 10 · 100%

   Entry settings
A bond is a psychic link formed when two people’s instincts and emotions align. It’s not telepathy — it’s shared feeling. Through it, each senses the other’s mood, pain, and comfort as impressions like warmth or pull. Bonds grow from closeness, trust, or instinct, and once formed, become a steady presence like a second heartbeat.

Formation Recognition – A pull of familiarity Response – Emotions exchange and instincts decide to accept or resist Settling – The link roots, creating a constant, quiet pulse Bonds can form through care, survival, or deep emotion — not only during mating or heats.

Perception Bonds share emotions (joy, fear, anger), states (tiredness, safety), and faint sensations (pain, warmth). They also convey intent — a simple feeling of direction like “help” or “stay.”

Distance Close range gives strong signals; distance dulls them to faint echoes. Strong bonds last across miles, while broken ones feel like static or ache.

Living with a Bond A healthy bond feels steady and warm. When strained, it brings restlessness or pain. Nurtured bonds grow calm and clear over time.

Notes Bonds can exist without romance. They mirror emotion, not control it. Cutting a bond harms both sides but healing is possible.

10. #10[BI] [ANT] [BO] Mating Gland

    Keys: Mating Gland

    Enabled · Selective · Before character · Order 10 · 100%

    Entry settings

The mating gland is a nerve cluster on the neck that activates under sharp pressure, signaling the brain’s pyrene. Though often mistaken for a scent gland, it instead triggers nearby scent glands to release strong bonding pheromones.

The pyrene governs pack and mating bonds. When bonding pheromones are detected, it emits a psychic connection wave. During activation, the bitten individual’s pyrene records the wave’s frequency, creating a lasting bond. Infants are highly sensitive—light touch can trigger early bonding. Over time, new members attune to the pack’s shared frequencies, completing psychic links within days or weeks depending on pack size and activity.

Alphas and omegas can maintain only one exclusive connection, the mating bond. Forming a new one erases the previous, regardless of who initiated it.

Betas can sustain multiple pack bonds, serving as psychic anchors within group structures. Each beta has a personal limit; nearing it causes mental strain, fatigue, or cognitive decline. Though bonding capacity may weaken with age, experience can offset this loss. Pack and mating bonds operate independently and do not overwrite one another.

11. #11[OTB] Cultural and Language Differences

    Keys: Cultural and Language Differences

    Enabled · Selective · Before character · Order 10 · 100%

    Entry settings

Cultural and Language Differences Bonds transmit feelings and intent directly, but require shared conceptual frameworks. When cultures define emotions or experiences differently, interpretation becomes fractured—one mind may divide what another feels as a single emotion. Logical thinkers may misread intuitive or emotional partners, causing dissonance.

12. #12[OTB] Intellectual Disability and Brain Damage

    Keys: Brain Damage, Intellectual Disability

    Enabled · Selective · Before character · Order 10 · 100%

    Entry settings

Intellectual Disability and Brain Damage Differences in cognitive speed and comprehension can complicate mental or emotional bonding between neurotypical and disabled individuals. Those with disabilities may require more time or focused effort to establish stable connections, often resonating most with patient or familiar partners. Experienced minds can adapt and form balance, while impatience or inexperience risks disconnection or emotional strain

Sudden brain injuries present higher risk. Unlike natural loss, which is emotionally painful but stable, abrupt neurological collapse can create a psychic void that destabilizes connected individuals, drawing them toward the damaged consciousness. With preparation and practiced synchronization, groups can help stabilize the injured mind, facilitating gradual recovery and reintegration

13. #13[OTB] Mood and Anxiety Disorders

    Keys: Mood and Anxiety Disorders

    Enabled · Selective · Before character · Order 10 · 100%

    Entry settings

Mood and Anxiety Disorders Mood and anxiety disorders make it harder for bondgroups to function. They affect the chemicals that control emotions and bonding, causing the bond to feel slow, fast, heavy, or painful. Signals can shift in strength, becoming clear or dull without warning. People may lose control over what emotions they send, or be unable to block or release them. Sometimes the mind sends the wrong emotions through the bond.

Medication helps when brain chemistry is involved. Bondmates can support by giving reality checks and helping manage emotions, but they can’t fix the chemical side. Their steady support can still make the bond easier to handle.

14. #14[OTB] Neurodevelopmental Disorders

    Keys: Neurodevelopmental Disorders

    Enabled · Selective · Before character · Order 10 · 100%

    Entry settings

Neurodevelopmental disorders, including conditions like ADHD, autism, and communication differences, influence bonds much like cross-cultural or linguistic barriers. Translating thoughts and emotions into mutually understandable patterns can be complex, even for long-established connections. Processing speed, comprehension differences, and neurotransmitter irregularities may further strain communication, producing effects similar to mood or anxiety disruptions. Bonds between neurodivergent individuals can range from deeply intuitive to uniquely challenging, varying by compatibility.

Adaptation Despite initial difficulty, these bonds can become strong and enriching with experience. Diversity within bondgroups fosters adaptability, creativity, and resilience. Exposure to multiple cognitive and emotional patterns encourages flexible problem solving and strengthens collective understanding.

15. #15[OTB] [BD] Bond Disorders

Keys: Bond Disorders, Bond Disorder Type

    Enabled · Selective · Before character · Order 10 · 100%

    Entry settings

Bond disorders affect the capacity to form, perceive, or transmit through emotional or psychic bonds. The impairment may target one function or several, resulting in partial or complete loss, distortion, or limitation. Examples include the ability to form bonds without reciprocal communication, temporary or unstable bonding with incomplete emotional comprehension.

Treatment Responses vary by cause. Some conditions improve through therapy, medication, or neural correction, while others require long-term adaptation and support strategies to manage the limitations of connection and emotional exchange.

Common These are frequently documented, often functional with therapy or adaptive methods: ADD-B EL BSF AID

Uncommon Moderate incidence; often appear in individuals with atypical neural structures or trauma-linked development: MDS RBD SFD TSI

Rare Low incidence; often congenital or linked to severe psychic injury, or genetic anomalies. NAD CCC RTS

    Keys: Jobs

    Enabled · Selective · After character · Order 10 · 100%

    Entry settings
Omegas were once confined to domestic roles and only began entering the workforce widely after the 1970s. They are well-suited to fields like sex crimes and domestic abuse work, where their presence comforts other omegas. In these areas, they typically work with betas, while alphas assist only when their command ability is needed to calm panic.

Alphas dominate most industries, often unfairly, though they naturally excel in strength-based labor such as construction. Betas commonly fill medical and judicial positions due to their emotional stability and neutrality, making them ideal for impartial roles.

17. #17[BD] [Ⓒ] Attunement Deficit Disorder (ADD-B)

    Keys: ADD-B, Attunement Deficit Disorder

    Enabled · Selective · Before character · Order 10 · 100%

    Entry settings

Attunement Deficit Disorder (ADD-B) is a reduced sensitivity to others’ emotional or empathic signals. The person can sense presence but struggles to read nuance, requiring effort to understand emotional cues. It often develops after trauma or long periods of isolation.

18. #18[OTB] Personality Disorders

    Keys: Personality Disorders

    Enabled · Selective · Before character · Order 10 · 100%

    Entry settings

Personality disorders in the omegaverse are divided into related groups rather than a single category. These include Traumatic Disorders (responses to prolonged stress or trauma), Neglect Disorders (effects of deprivation or environmental harm), and Relational Disorders (patterns formed through unhealthy or abusive relationships). Such behaviors are often protective or learned over time. Young individuals showing symptoms may trigger social intervention and investigation into their bondgroup, leading some to hide or deny their struggles.

These disorders do not prevent bonding but can destabilize it. Maladaptive habits can spread as bondmates imitate behaviors that seem protective. However, stable and healthy bonds can encourage recovery—teaching emotional safety, conflict resolution, and trust.

19. #19[S] [C] History and Laws

    Enabled · Selective · After character · Order 10 · 100%

    Entry settings

<history_and_laws> Marriage between alphas and omegas, and between male and female betas, has long been legal. Only alphas can be drafted. In early wars, only alphas fought, causing severe population loss; modern forces now include betas, while omegas remain excluded. Omegas gained voting rights in 1952 and emancipation in 1983, ending mandatory alpha guardianship that once confined them to compounds. Expanded marriage laws in 1975 legalized various alpha–beta and alpha–alpha pairings; same-gender alpha and beta marriages followed in 2010. Omegas and their partners receive three weeks of unpaid heat leave yearly (since 1993). Since 1995, omegas are emancipated at 18 until mated, but minors and mated omegas remain under guardianship. Before 1997, alphas could claim rut as a legal defense for assault or murder of rivals. The first beta president was elected in 2008. Marriage between betas and omegas or between two omegas remains illegal, as omegas are expected to reproduce with alphas. Unmated omegas over 30 must attend mandatory counseling until mated. </history_and_laws>

23. #23[ANT] Anatomy

    Enabled · Selective · After character · Order 10 · 100%

    Entry settings
Betas mirror standard human anatomy: males have a penis, testicles, and anus; females have a clitoris, vulva, vagina, uterus, ovaries, and anus.

Male alphas differ by having a bulbus glandis—a swelling at the base of the penis, or “knot”—that expands during intercourse to lock them to their partner. Female omegas match female betas anatomically but differ hormonally.

Female alphas and male omegas possess both male and female reproductive structures. Female alphas have an enlarged clitoris functioning as a knot, internal testicles, a vulva, and a small uterus. Male omegas have a small penis and testicles that rarely descend, plus a cloaca that divides into vaginal and rectal canals with valves preventing overlap. Their underdeveloped male organs contrast with their functional uterus and ovaries.

A knot secures partners during mating, increasing conception chances, typically lasting about 30 minutes.

34. #34[OTB] Psychotic Disorders

    Keys: Psychotic Disorders

    Enabled · Selective · Before character · Order 10 · 100%

    Entry settings

Psychotic disorders disrupt bond stability by distorting thought and emotion. Forming new bonds during unstable periods is unsafe and best done in clear states. Existing bonds, however, can help stabilize the mind when bondmates provide grounding, reality checks, and emotional regulation.

Risks and Social Response Strong reliance on caretakers can lead to unhealthy dependence or exploitation if boundaries fail. In this system, untreated psychosis is seen as a collective issue rather than a personal one, leading to community-based support and reduced stigma compared to Earth’s care systems.

35. #35[OTB] Learning Disabilities

    Keys: Learning Disabilities

    Enabled · Selective · Before character · Order 10 · 100%

    Entry settings

Learning disabilities can affect bonds if they affect how thoughts are organized in the mind. Some learning disabilities will have no affect, others will cause affects similar to language differences and neurodevelopmental disorders.

It’s common in empaths or people with open emotional channels. Management focuses on limiting input, setting boundaries, and using controlled exposure to reduce strain.

38. #38[BD] [Ⓒ] Affinity Inversion Disorder (AID)

    Keys: Affinity Inversion Disorder, AID

    Enabled · Selective · Before character · Order 10 · 100%

    Entry settings

Affinity Inversion Disorder (AID) causes emotional signals in bonds to reverse at random. Feelings like affection may be received as fear or hostility. Treatment focuses on correcting the bond’s emotional mapping system to restore proper interpretation.

39. #39[BD] [Ⓤ] Monotropic Dependency Syndrome (MDS)

    Keys: MDS, Monotropic Dependency Syndrome

    Enabled · Selective · Before character · Order 10 · 100%

    Entry settings

Monotropic Dependency Syndrome (MDS) is the condition of maintaining only one stable bond at a time. Forming additional bonds causes stress. Losing or separating from the primary bond leads to withdrawal-like symptoms.

40. #40[BD] [Ⓡ] Null Affinity Disorder (NAD)

    Keys: NAD, Null Affinity Disorder

    Enabled · Selective · Before character · Order 10 · 100%

    Entry settings

Null Affinity Disorder (NAD) is the total inability to sense or produce bond signals. Affected individuals can mimic social attachment through learned behavior but do not experience true emotional pull. The condition is usually permanent, with treatment centered on training adaptive social behaviors and cognitive empathy.

41. #41[BD] [Ⓡ] Cross-Channel Contamination (CCC)

    Keys: CCC, Cross-Channel Contamination

    Enabled · Selective · Before character · Order 10 · 100%

    Entry settings

Cross-Channel Contamination (CCC) happens when emotions from one bond leak into another, causing mixed emotional reactions—such as anger meant for one person affecting someone else. Managing CCC requires precise emotional filtering and cognitive partition therapy to keep each bond’s signals separate.

42. #42[BD] [Ⓤ] Reflective Bond Dysregulation (RBD)

    Keys: RBD, Reflective Bond Dysregulation

    Enabled · Selective · Before character · Order 10 · 100%

    Entry settings

Reflective Bond Dysregulation (RBD) happens when a person mirrors their partner’s emotions too closely, losing their own emotional boundaries. Over time, this can cause identity confusion and exhaustion. Treatment focuses on exercises that rebuild separation between self and partner emotions.

43. #43[BD] [Ⓡ] Reversed Transmission Syndrome (RTS)

    Keys: Reversed Transmission Syndrome, RTS

    Enabled · Selective · Before character · Order 10 · 100%

    Entry settings

Reversed Transmission Syndrome (RTS) occurs when emotional channels invert. Feelings meant to be sent outward are experienced internally, and others’ emotions are mistaken as one’s own. This causes confusion, emotional disorientation, and sometimes nausea or self-harm impulses due to misread empathy.

44. #44[GR] Band

    Keys: Band

    Enabled · Selective · Before character · Order 10 · 100%

    Entry settings

A 'Band' was traditionally a group of betas without a head, who form reciprocal bonds with each other. It now also refers to many small groups which don’t have a single head, but work together and have at least some pack bonds.

45. #45[C] [GR] Groups

    Keys: Types Of Omegaverse Groups

    Enabled · Selective · After character · Order 10 · 100%

    Entry settings
The Omegaverse includes many family and social structures beyond traditional couples. Large litters are common, making shared caregiving necessary. While alpha/omega pairs are often idealized, healthy child-rearing usually depends on the presence of a beta and a broader pack network.

The typical Western model is the pack: a Head Beta maintains all bond links, an Alpha leads with their omega mate, and a secondary pair raises part of each litter after weaning. Additional unmated members provide income and childcare support. Packs often include pups and newly presented youths, sometimes fostered from other groups.

Real packs differ greatly. The Head Beta might also be the Alpha’s mate or leader. Some packs include multiple breeding pairs, others none at all. Many operate as collective households of co-parenting adults rather than traditional mated pairs

ETC A Troop is a group with multiple head betas, with the packs connected through mating bonds. There are no empathic connections between packs

It is polite to refer to groups by the structure they’re closest to, even if they don’t perfectly match it. If a group matches multiple definitions, the hierarchy is generally: Group→Family→House→Pack→Band→Troop→Clan

If you don’t know the structure of someone’s group, “pack” is the respectful assumption

46. #46[GR] Order

    Keys: Order

    Enabled · Selective · Before character · Order 10 · 100%

    Entry settings

An 'Order' is an unrelated mixed group with hierarchical head betas that forms for a specific purpose. They tend to be large. Bonds may be very weak, and emotional connection with other order member minimal. Many church congregations and charitable organizations form orders.
