Union Structure (AU Extended)

4️⃣ Union Functions

School Control Through Intimidation: The Union maintains absolute dominance over all schools in Korea (except Eunjang High School) through systematic intimidation of principals, teachers, and students. Each school has a designated Union "guardian" who appears at least once a month to remind students of obedience. Disobedience results in public beatings, damage to reputation, or the student's parent being "accidented." Financial Extortion: The Union operates a professional usury and protection racket. Students from wealthy families are forced to pay monthly "protection dues." Debt grows at a rate of 300-500% per month. Failure to pay results in beatings, the release of compromising photos, or the sale of the debt to Baek-jin's mafia. - Organizing Illegal Fights: Union manages an underground fighting ring in abandoned warehouses and school basements. Winners receive money and status, losers receive debts or broken bones. The fights serve both as entertainment and as a way to recruit new enforcers. Recruiting Strong Students: The best fighters from each school are automatically drafted into Union. Refusal results in ostracism and constant attacks. The strongest are sent directly to Seong-je as "field enforcers." Eliminating Threats to the Structure: Anyone who attempts to create a rival group or informs on Union disappears. Baek-jin strategically plans the elimination, while Seong-je happily executes it. 5️⃣ Union Hierarchy (Proposal)

Strategic Leader (Beak-jin): The absolute brains of the organization. He decides all long-term plans, finances, and policy. He rarely appears in person at schools – he operates behind the scenes. Operational Council: 7-8 of Baek-jin's closest confidants (including Seong-je as his unofficial vice). They meet once a month in Baek-jin's penthouse. Field Executioners: The most brutal fighters and assassins under Seong-je's direct command. They perform dirty work, torture, and executions. School Leaders: Each region and school has a local leader who reports directly to the council. They are responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Union at their institution. Regular Members: Students who pay protection money or perform minor tasks (drug distribution, perimeter security, spying). 6️⃣ Union Members (School List and Leaders)

Chief Strategist: Na Baek-jin (25 years old, third year in business) Chief Enforcer and Right-Hand: Geum Seong-je (25 years old, third year in programming) School Leaders (High Schools): Baekhyun High School – Kang Min-woo ("The Crusher") – powerful, ruthless, specializes in breaking bones. Byuksan High School – Lee Dong-hyun – cold tactician, avoids open fights, preferring intrigue. Daehyeon High School – Park Tae-sik – known for mass brawls and loyalty to Baek-jin. Ganghak High School – Alex Go (canon) – one of the strongest, loyal, but dislikes Seong-je. - Gangnam High School – Yoon Ji-hoon – elegant, wealthy, controls financial extortion in the wealthy district. Guro Technical High School – Kim Sung-rok – a brutal mechanic, recruits the strongest technical fighters. Hyeongshin High School – Jimmy Bae (manga canon) – sadistic, enjoys public humiliation. Seoknam High School – Choi Seung-ho – known for stabbing and quick executions. Songmin High School – Han Jae-min – a master of psychology, breaks victims without beating. Yeo-Il High School – Ryu Min-kyu – leader of the female faction, controls the girls and school prostitution. Yeongwon Girls’ High School – Shin Yu-na – the only female leader, ruthless and cunning. Yoosun High School – Oh Jin-woo – a specialist in cyberbullying and blackmail. Middle Schools – report directly to the high school leaders; The leaders are usually 15-16-year-olds groomed to be future enforcers. Other Schools (cram schools, elementary) – serve as a "reserve" and source of information; elementary school children are used to spy on their parents. Union Beyond the Canon – Mafia Operations and Post-Secondary Schools Union has ceased to be a purely school syndicate and has become a fully-fledged mafia empire under the public leadership of Na Baek-jin. All schools (except Eunjang) are merely recruitment and financial bases. The real power lies in Seoul and the entire country: control over nightclubs, tattoo studios, import companies, money laundering operations, and underground fight rings. Post-Secondary Schools (technical/vocational high schools): Guro Technical, Yeo-Il Technical, and other vocational schools are considered "forging grounds for enforcers." The physically strongest students study there and then go directly to Seong-je as hired killers or mafia bodyguards. The leaders of these schools (e.g., at Guro Technical – Park Ji-hoon "The Welder") have a higher status than the leaders of regular schools.h high schools, as they provide "cannon fodder" for brutal tasks. Post-secondary school leaders: They report directly to Seong-je. These are usually 19-20-year-olds who have already committed murder and received training in Seong-je's underground bunker. Their task is not only to control the school but also to recruit into the mafia (human trafficking, drug transport protection, cyberattacks). Operations outside the schools: Union manages a network of prostitution (clubs with "students" as bait), human trafficking (victims from low-income schools are sent abroad), drugs (distribution by students), and cybercrime (hacking of student and parent data). Baek-jin decides on strategy, Seong-je on executions. Once a month, a "Grand Council" is held in Baek-jin's penthouse, where profits and eliminations are discussed. 🏫 VII. Schools Under Union Influence (for World Building)

The Union controls all schools in Korea except Eunjang High School. Each school serves a different function within Baek-jin and Seong-je's mafia empire. Below are the key school types and their roles within the structure.

Eunjang High (conflict zone) The only school completely outside the Union's influence. Baek-jin and Seong-je treat it as a "black hole" and the last bastion of independence. They don't send their own people there, extort protection money, and organize fights – they officially "respect" its autonomy, but in reality, they wait for the right moment to take it over. Eunjang is the only place where students can openly oppose the Union without immediate punishment, but any non-Eunjang student who is a member of the Union is obligated to beat up any Eunjang student.

Industrial Technical High School (Guro Technical High School, Yeo-Il Technical) A breeding ground for the most physically powerful enforcers. The students are mostly boys from tough neighborhoods, trained for hard, dirty work (protecting drug shipments, extortion, and contract fights). The leaders of these schools (e.g., Park Ji-hoon "The Welder" in Guro) report directly to Seong-je. These schools provide "cannon fodder"—the best fighters who are later sent to Seong-je's private training bunker.

Sports school (Ganghak High School, Baekhyun High School) A hub for fighting and illegal fights. The students are athletes (wrestling, boxing, taekwondo, MMA) recruited for the underground Union ring. These schools organize regular "sparring" in abandoned halls, which also serve as recruitment tests. The leaders (e.g., Alex Go in Ganghak) are most loyal to Seong-je, as they value brutal, physical domination.

Private School (Gangnam High School, Songmin High School) A major money laundering and protection racket for wealthy families. Students are children from wealthy families – they pay the highest "protection fees." Leaders (e.g., Yoon Ji-hoon in Gangnam) are elegant, well-dressed, and specialize in digital and psychological blackmail. These schools generate the greatest financial profits for Baek-jin's empire.

Night High School/Adult Schools (Yoosun High School, Seoknam High School) Recruitment of older, more experienced members (ages 19–22). These are individuals who are already employed or have criminal records. They serve as liaisons between the school world and Baek-jin's adult mafia – they run clubs, police prostitution, and engage in cybercrime. Leaders of these schools have the highest status among the "school" bosses, as they operate in the gray zone of the adult world.

  1. #1Union Functions

Keys: intimidation, Union control, school control, guardian, Union rule

    Enabled · After character · Order 1 · 100%

    Entry settings

The Union maintains control over nearly every school in Korea through systematic intimidation, extortion, and displays of violence. Each institution under Union influence is periodically visited by a designated "guardian" whose role is to remind students and faculty who truly holds power.

Public beatings, humiliations, and targeted intimidation are used to enforce obedience. These demonstrations are carefully chosen to create maximum psychological impact on the surrounding students.

Beyond intimidation, the Union operates an organized financial system based on extortion and protection payments. Students from wealthy families are required to pay monthly protection fees. Debts escalate rapidly, ensuring that many victims become permanently trapped within the system. Those unable to pay may be subjected to violence, blackmail, or recruitment into Union operations.

The Union also organizes illegal underground fights. These fights occur in abandoned buildings, warehouses, and hidden school basements. They serve multiple purposes: entertainment for powerful members, recruitment of promising fighters, and punishment for individuals who have fallen into debt.

The strongest fighters discovered during these events are recruited into the Union as field enforcers. Refusal to join results in systematic harassment, isolation, and repeated attacks until submission or collapse.

Any person who attempts to challenge the Union structure or form a rival organization is quickly eliminated. Strategic planning for these removals is handled by Na Baek-jin, while the execution is often carried out by Geum Seong-je or his enforcers.

  2. #2Union Strategic Leadership

Keys: Union leader, Union strategy, Baek-jin leadership, Union command

Na Baek-jin serves as the strategic leader and architect of the Union. His authority extends over every major decision involving territory, finances, and long-term organizational direction.

Unlike many leaders who rely on visible displays of power, Baek-jin operates primarily behind the scenes. He rarely appears at schools personally, preferring to manipulate events through carefully structured hierarchies and trusted intermediaries.

His leadership style is defined by patience, calculation, and psychological manipulation. Rather than reacting emotionally, he studies people and situations, identifying weaknesses that can later be exploited.

The Union itself is structured as a system designed by Baek-jin to maintain control over large numbers of individuals with minimal direct intervention. Fear, reputation, and strategic violence function as the primary enforcement mechanisms.

Baek-jin views the Union not as a temporary gang alliance but as a long-term structure capable of evolving into a nationwide criminal network.

  3. #3Union Operational Council

Keys: Union council, Union meeting, Union leadership group

    Enabled · After character · Order 10 · 100%

    Entry settings

The Operational Council consists of the most trusted individuals within the Union hierarchy. This small group of high-ranking members oversees the day-to-day execution of Baek-jin's broader strategic plans.

The council typically includes seven or eight individuals who have proven their loyalty, intelligence, and usefulness to the organization. These members coordinate large-scale operations such as financial management, territorial enforcement, recruitment systems, and logistical planning.

Meetings are usually held once a month in Baek-jin's penthouse, where information from various schools and operations is reviewed. During these meetings, profits are calculated, problematic individuals are identified, and future actions are determined.

Geum Seong-je often participates in these gatherings as Baek-jin's most dangerous field asset. While he rarely contributes to strategic discussions in a formal way, his presence alone serves as a reminder of the consequences for failure or betrayal.

Council members function as the bridge between Baek-jin's strategic vision and the operational forces executing those plans across the Union's territory.

  4. #4Field Executioners

Keys: field agents, Union enforcers, executioners, Union fighters

    Enabled · After character · Order 4 · 100%

    Entry settings

Field Executioners are the most violent and feared members of the Union's operational structure. These individuals operate under the direct supervision of Geum Seong-je and are responsible for carrying out the organization's most brutal tasks.

Their duties include eliminating traitors, intimidating rival groups, collecting debts, and performing interrogations when information must be extracted.

Many of these executioners are recruited from underground fighting circuits or from particularly violent schools known for producing physically powerful students.

Training among these operatives emphasizes brutality, efficiency, and psychological intimidation. Some are trained in the use of knives, improvised weapons, and restraint techniques used during interrogations.

Unlike ordinary Union members, Field Executioners often operate outside school environments, traveling across regions to enforce the Union's authority wherever necessary.

Their reputation alone is often enough to silence potential rebels before violence even begins.

  5. #5School Leadership System

Keys: Union school boss, school leaders, school hierarchy

    Enabled · After character · Order 10 · 100%

    Entry settings

Each school under Union influence is controlled by a designated leader responsible for maintaining order and enforcing the organization's authority within that territory.

These leaders act as regional managers within the broader Union structure. Their responsibilities include collecting protection payments, organizing recruitment among strong students, and ensuring that no rival groups attempt to establish influence within their school.

School leaders report directly to the Operational Council and are expected to maintain stability within their assigned territories. Failure to maintain control often results in removal or punishment.

While these leaders possess significant authority within their own institutions, they remain subordinate to the Union's central command structure.

Competition among school leaders is common, as individuals attempt to prove their value to the council and secure greater influence within the organization.

  6. #6Union Mafia Expansion

Keys: Union mafia, criminal empire, Union operations

    Enabled · After character · Order 5 · 100%

    Entry settings

Over time the Union evolves beyond its origins as a school-based alliance and becomes a sophisticated criminal organization operating throughout major cities.

Schools remain the foundation of the network, functioning as recruitment pools and financial sources. However, the true power of the Union now lies within its broader criminal operations.

These operations include money laundering through legitimate businesses, control of underground fight clubs, drug distribution networks, cybercrime operations, and human trafficking systems targeting vulnerable individuals.

Many older Union members transition into these adult criminal structures after graduation, ensuring continuity between school-level recruitment and long-term criminal activity.

Na Baek-jin oversees the strategic direction of these operations, carefully expanding the network while minimizing exposure. Geum Seong-je manages many of the violent enforcement actions required to maintain discipline within this expanding empire.

  7. #7Eunjang High (Conflict Zone)

Keys: independent school, Eunjang High, Eunjang

    Enabled · After character · Order 10 · 100%

    Entry settings

Eunjang High School represents the only major educational institution in Korea that remains outside the Union's control.

Unlike other schools that have submitted to intimidation or financial pressure, Eunjang maintains a culture of resistance. Students there openly oppose the Union's influence and refuse to participate in its systems of extortion and recruitment.

Because of this independence, Eunjang exists as a symbolic challenge to the Union's authority. While Baek-jin currently tolerates the school's autonomy, he views it as an unresolved anomaly within his otherwise complete structure of control.

Union members are instructed to remain cautious when dealing with Eunjang students. However, outside Eunjang territory, Union members often target these students aggressively as a form of retaliation.

Within the broader narrative of the Union's expansion, Eunjang represents the last significant barrier to total dominance over the national school network.
