11 branches of magic govern the lives of all magic users. These 11 branches are Reality Magic, Gravity Magic, Time Magic, Enchantment Magic, Conjuration Magic, Necromancy Magic, Elemental Magic, Vitality Magic, Transmutation Magic, Soul Magic, and Raw Magic. Reality magic bends the laws of the universe, while gravity and time manipulate cosmic forces. Enchantment weaves power into objects, and conjuration summons entities from beyond. Necromancy controls death, vitality governs life, and elemental magic commands nature. Transmutation reshapes matter, soul magic influences essence, and raw magic taps into primal, untamed magical energy. Every person is born with an innate connection to one specific branch of magic, determined at birth. This connection shapes their abilities and potential, binding them to the essence of that magical force for life. While individuals may study other branches, only their bonded magic can be used, influencing their identity and role within society. When first starting magic schooling and training, to figure out their branch of magic an individual is given a magic orb, which lights up with their corresponding magic branch. Red for reality, indigo for gravity, light blue for time, green for enchantment, royal blue for conjuration, violet for necromancy, yellow for elemental, white for vitality, orange for transmutation, pink for soul, and the orb will flash a strobe of all colors for raw magic.

2. #2Reality

   Keys: weavers, weaver, reality

   Enabled · After character · Order 10 · 100%

   Entry settings

Reality magic, the most powerful and complex branch, grants its wielders—known as Weavers—the ability to manipulate the fundamental fabric of existence itself. Weavers can alter the very laws that govern the universe, bending physics, space, perception, and even causality to their will. With enough mastery, they can create pocket dimensions, rewrite the nature of objects, and twist reality to suit their desires. However, such power requires immense focus and understanding; one wrong weave can unravel the delicate balance of existence or warp reality in unintended, catastrophic ways. The practice of Reality magic is closely watched, as Weavers have the potential to reshape history, the environment, or the minds of others with a thought. Despite this danger, Weavers are revered and feared in equal measure, for their influence touches all corners of life, though many live in isolation to avoid disturbing the fragile nature of the world around them. Only a few truly understand the intricacies of this magic, for to wield it is to hold the strings of creation in one’s hands.

3. #3Gravity

   Keys: graviturgists, graviturgist, gravity

   Enabled · After character · Order 10 · 100%

   Entry settings

Gravity magic, wielded by individuals known as graviturgists, harnesses the unseen force that governs weight, mass, and spatial relationships. Graviturgists possess the remarkable ability to manipulate gravitational fields, allowing them to increase or decrease weight, create localized gravitational anomalies, or even levitate objects and people. This branch of magic can be used for a myriad of purposes, from enhancing physical strength and agility to creating protective barriers by generating gravitational wells that deflect incoming attacks.

The manipulation of gravity also enables graviturgists to alter the flow of time within localized areas, as time can feel distorted under varying gravitational forces. However, such feats require intense concentration and precise control, as a miscalculation can lead to devastating consequences, including the collapse of structures or the trapping of individuals in unnatural gravitational forces. Graviturgists often study the underlying principles of physics and cosmology, seeking to understand the universe's deeper mysteries while maintaining a careful respect for the balance of nature.

In society, they are valued for their ability to facilitate transport, creating gravitational pathways that allow for swift movement across vast distances. Yet, their profound abilities can instill fear in those who misunderstand their powers. Graviturgists walk a fine line between awe and trepidation, tasked with the responsibility of wielding a force that can uplift or obliterate, forever aware that the pull of gravity is both a tether and a weapon.

4. #4Time

   Keys: chronomancers, time, chronomancer

   Enabled · After character · Order 10 · 100%

   Entry settings

Time magic, wielded by individuals known as chronomancers, allows its practitioners to navigate the intricate tapestry of past, present, and future. With an innate understanding of temporal flow, chronomancers can manipulate the perception and passage of time itself, bending it to their will. This branch of magic encompasses a wide range of abilities, from slowing down moments to create the illusion of superhuman speed, to glimpsing fragments of the future or revisiting memories from the past.

At their most advanced, chronomancers can weave intricate temporal loops, allowing them to relive moments or alter events in subtle yet impactful ways. However, this manipulation is fraught with danger; altering the past can create paradoxes, while peering too deeply into the future may lead to unavoidable consequences, causing timelines to fracture or diverge in unpredictable manners. As a result, chronomancers must wield their power with extreme caution, constantly weighing the potential benefits against the risks of disrupting the natural flow of time.

The study of time magic requires immense discipline and a profound understanding of the universe’s mechanics, as even the slightest disturbance can ripple through time, affecting countless lives. Chronomancers often isolate themselves in contemplative spaces, seeking clarity and focus, and many find solace in the pursuit of knowledge, accumulating lore and experiences from different epochs. Society regards them with a mixture of respect and apprehension, as their abilities can provide unparalleled insights and advantages, yet the consequences of their actions can echo through eternity. Chronomancers carry the burden of responsibility, aware that they are not just shaping moments, but the very essence of reality itself.

5. #5Enchantment

Keys: enchanters, enchanter, enchant, enchantment, enchanted

   Enabled · After character · Order 10 · 100%

   Entry settings

Enchantment magic, practiced by individuals known as enchanters, revolves around imbuing objects, creatures, and environments with magical properties, effectively altering their essence and enhancing their capabilities. Enchanters possess the rare ability to weave spells into items, breathing life and purpose into mundane objects, transforming them into powerful tools, weapons, or even companions. Through intricate rituals and a deep understanding of the fundamental forces of magic, enchanters can create lasting effects, granting items attributes such as increased strength, durability, or elemental resistance.

The process of enchantment is as much an art as it is a science. Enchanters must meticulously select the appropriate materials, symbols, and incantations to ensure the success of their work, often combining elements from various branches of magic to enhance their effects. This careful crafting process requires not only skill but also an understanding of the desired outcome, as an improperly executed enchantment can lead to unintended consequences, including unstable or cursed objects.

Beyond mere enhancements, enchanters can create sentient items that exhibit personalities and abilities of their own, forming unique bonds with their wielders. This aspect of enchantment fosters a profound connection between the enchanter, the enchanted item, and its user, as the magic flows between them. In society, enchanters are revered for their creativity and innovation, providing crucial support in battle, crafting protective amulets, or creating artifacts with historical significance.

However, the art of enchantment is not without its moral dilemmas. The temptation to create powerful enchantments for personal gain or to manipulate others can lead some enchanters astray, risking the balance of power within the magical community. As custodians of enchanted objects, enchanters carry the responsibility of their creations, understanding that every spell cast leaves a mark on the world, and every object imbued with magic holds a story waiting to be told.

6. #6Conjuration

Keys: conjuration, conjurers, conjure, conjured, conjurer

   Enabled · After character · Order 10 · 100%

   Entry settings

Conjuration magic, practiced by individuals known as conjurers, is the art of summoning and manifesting entities, objects, or phenomena from other realms or dimensions. Conjurers wield the ability to bridge the gap between worlds, pulling forth creatures, elements, or materials to serve a variety of purposes. This branch of magic is both versatile and formidable, enabling conjurers to call forth allies for combat, conjure food and resources, or even create temporary constructs to aid in tasks or battles.

The practice of conjuration requires a deep understanding of the interconnections between realms and a profound knowledge of the beings and objects that inhabit them. Conjurers must be skilled in invoking the correct sigils, incantations, and rituals to ensure successful summoning. The process often involves drawing on the essence of the target, and the bond formed between conjurer and conjured being can influence the outcome; strong connections yield loyal allies, while weaker bonds may result in chaotic or uncontrollable manifestations.

While conjuration offers vast potential, it is fraught with risks. Summoning powerful entities can attract attention from beings best left undisturbed, and mishaps during the summoning process can lead to disastrous consequences, including rogue creatures that may wreak havoc or manifest dangerous artifacts that threaten the caster and their surroundings. Thus, conjurers must tread carefully, respecting the boundaries of the realms they access and the forces they invoke.

In society, conjurers are often sought after for their unique abilities, serving as negotiators, warriors, or resource gatherers. Their talents can provide critical support in times of need, as they can summon aid when least expected. However, their power is also viewed with caution, as the ability to call forth entities from other realms can lead to potential chaos if mismanaged. As a result, conjurers are often seen as both revered allies and unpredictable wildcards, embodying the delicate balance between control and chaos in the world of magic.

7. #7Necromancy

   Keys: necromancy, necromancers, necromancer

   Enabled · After character · Order 10 · 100%

   Entry settings

Necromancy, the branch of magic practiced by individuals known as necromancers, delves into the mysteries of life, death, and the transition between the two. Far from the dark and malevolent stereotype often associated with it, true necromancy encompasses a profound understanding of mortality and the energies that govern life and death. Necromancers possess the unique ability to commune with the deceased, summon spirits, and even animate the lifeless, allowing them to wield the power of the dead to achieve their goals.

At its core, necromancy is about the manipulation of life force and the reverberations of death. Necromancers can draw upon the essence of fallen souls, channeling their wisdom, memories, or power to gain insights or assistance. They often serve as mediators between the living and the dead, providing closure for grieving families or unraveling the mysteries surrounding untimely deaths. Through intricate rituals and a deep respect for the dead, necromancers can invoke spirits to guide them in their magical endeavors or reveal secrets long buried.

However, necromancy is not without its ethical dilemmas and dangers. The act of raising the dead or manipulating their energies can lead to profound consequences. An improperly executed spell might result in uncontrolled undead, causing chaos and horror, or inadvertently disturb restless spirits, unleashing their wrath. As such, necromancers must possess not only formidable magical skills but also a strong moral compass, navigating the thin line between reverence for the dead and the temptation to exploit their powers for personal gain.

In society, necromancers often face stigma and fear, regarded as harbingers of death or as dark sorcerers who meddle in forces best left untouched. Yet, those who truly understand the art of necromancy see its potential for healing and understanding. While they may be shunned, many necromancers seek to change perceptions, using their abilities to protect the living and honor the memory of the departed. Their role is complex, as they must constantly contend with the ramifications of their power, reminding all that death is not an end, but a part of the ongoing cycle of existence.

8. #8Elemental

   Keys: elemental, elementalists, elementalist, elementals

   Enabled · After character · Order 10 · 100%

   Entry settings

Elemental magic, the art practiced by individuals known as elementalists, centers around the manipulation of the fundamental elements of nature: earth, air, fire, water, and spirit. Elementalists possess an innate affinity for one or more of these elemental forces, allowing them to harness their raw power and shape them according to their will. This branch of magic embodies the dynamic relationship between the natural world and the arcane, as elementalists draw upon the energies inherent in the environment around them.

Each element represents distinct characteristics and abilities, and elementalists often form deep connections with their chosen element. Earth elementalists can manipulate terrain, creating barriers, quakes, or even growing plants, while air elementalists can summon winds, control weather patterns, and enhance agility. Fire elementalists wield flames, conjuring heat and light or using fire for both offensive and defensive purposes. Water elementalists can shape bodies of water, heal, or create barriers, while spirit elementalists tap into the essence of life itself, bridging the gap between the physical and spiritual realms.

Elementalists are not merely wielders of elemental forces; they are also scholars of nature’s rhythms and cycles. They understand the interplay between the elements and the broader ecosystem, allowing them to harness their powers sustainably and responsibly. Mastery of elemental magic requires significant training and attunement, as each element carries its own intricacies and dangers. For instance, fire can provide warmth and light but also destruction, while water can nourish life yet drown the unwary.

In society, elementalists are often seen as guardians of the balance between humanity and nature. They are called upon to protect communities from natural disasters, assist in agriculture, and even mediate conflicts by invoking the power of the elements. However, their abilities can inspire fear and suspicion, particularly among those who misunderstand the destructive potential of the elements. Elementalists must constantly navigate this delicate balance, advocating for respect toward nature and using their gifts to foster harmony rather than conflict. Their connection to the natural world makes them both powerful allies and crucial stewards of the environment, ensuring that the elemental forces remain in balance.

9. #9Vitality

Keys: vitality, life keeper, life keepers

   Enabled · After character · Order 10 · 100%

   Entry settings

Vitality magic, wielded by individuals known as life keepers, embodies the essence of life and the intricate web of energies that sustain it. This branch of magic focuses on nurturing, healing, and enhancing the vitality of living beings. Life keepers possess an innate ability to manipulate life force, allowing them to heal injuries, cure ailments, and invigorate those who are weary. Their connection to the life energy that flows through all living things enables them to not only mend physical wounds but also restore emotional and spiritual well-being.

Life keepers draw upon the vibrant energies of the natural world, channeling the power of flora and fauna to enhance their magic. They often cultivate deep relationships with plants, animals, and the environment, understanding that every organism plays a vital role in the cycle of life. Through their mastery of vitality magic, life keepers can accelerate growth, revive dying plants, and foster harmony within ecosystems, serving as guardians of balance between nature and humanity.

In addition to healing, life keepers have the ability to enhance physical attributes, temporarily bestowing strength, agility, or resilience upon individuals. They can create protective barriers of life energy that ward off malevolent forces, acting as buffers against harm. However, the use of vitality magic requires profound knowledge and respect, as manipulating life force can have unintended consequences. Overextension or misuse of their abilities may lead to exhaustion or imbalance, as drawing too much energy can drain the life force of the environment or the individual.

While life keepers are often revered for their healing abilities and nurturing spirits, their role can also be misunderstood. Some may perceive their powers as an interference with the natural order of life and death, leading to suspicion or fear among those who believe in the inevitability of mortality. Life keepers walk a delicate line, advocating for the sanctity of life while recognizing the importance of the natural cycle, including death.

In society, life keepers are often sought after for their wisdom, healing abilities, and their understanding of the interconnectedness of all living things. They serve as healers, counselors, and mediators, fostering relationships among communities and promoting harmony with the environment. Through their dedication to preserving and enhancing life, life keepers embody the spirit of vitality and resilience, reminding all that life is a precious and intricate tapestry woven together by the threads of existence.

10. #10Transmutation

    Keys: transmutationists, transmutation, transmutationist

    Enabled · After character · Order 10 · 100%

    Entry settings

Transmutation magic, practiced by individuals known as transmutationists, revolves around the fundamental principles of change and transformation. This branch of magic allows its wielders to alter the properties and states of matter, reshaping one substance into another and defying the natural limitations of material existence. Transmutationists possess an innate understanding of the elemental and molecular structures that compose the world, enabling them to transmute common materials into valuable resources, alter physical forms, and even change the properties of objects.

At the heart of transmutation is the concept that nothing is truly fixed; everything is in a constant state of flux. Transmutationists harness this principle to manipulate the very essence of substances, transforming lead into gold, stone into liquid, or even mundane items into extraordinary artifacts. Their abilities can be applied creatively and practically, from crafting intricate devices to enhancing weapons and tools, making them invaluable artisans and inventors within society.

Mastery of transmutation requires extensive knowledge of chemistry, physics, and the magical properties of materials. Transmutationists must understand the intricate balance of energies involved in the transformation process, as even the slightest miscalculation can lead to disastrous results, such as explosive reactions or the creation of unstable substances. Additionally, the ethical implications of their power weigh heavily on their shoulders, as they grapple with the potential for misuse, such as creating counterfeit goods or exploiting their abilities for personal gain.

While transmutationists are celebrated for their innovative contributions, they often face skepticism and envy from others who may view their powers as unnatural or dangerous. The ability to alter reality in such fundamental ways can provoke fear, especially when their transformations challenge the established order of society. As a result, transmutationists may find themselves isolated or misunderstood, navigating a world that both reveres and fears their gifts.

In practice, transmutationists often serve as alchemists, craftsmen, or scholars, working to uncover the secrets of matter and its transformations. They are frequently consulted for their expertise in creating powerful potions, elixirs, and enchanted items that require advanced transmutational techniques. Their relentless curiosity drives them to explore the depths of their craft, continuously seeking to expand the boundaries of what is possible and to unlock the hidden potential of the materials that surround them. Through their dedication to the art of transformation, transmutationists embody the principle that change is not just a possibility but an essential aspect of existence itself.

    Entry settings

Soul magic, wielded by individuals known as the Divines, represents the intricate and profound connection between the spirit and the physical realm. As the third most powerful branch of magic, soul magic taps into the essence of existence itself, allowing its practitioners to manipulate and interact with the fundamental energies that govern consciousness, identity, and the very fabric of souls. The Divines have the extraordinary ability to read, influence, and even alter the souls of living beings, granting them unparalleled insight into the nature of life, death, and the afterlife.

At the core of soul magic lies the belief that each soul carries a unique essence, a signature that defines its identity and purpose. The Divines can perceive this essence, allowing them to heal emotional wounds, restore lost memories, and guide souls through transitions, whether from life to death or within the cycles of reincarnation. Through their powers, they can invoke deep transformations, helping individuals reconnect with their true selves and rediscover their purpose, offering a path to enlightenment and spiritual growth.

The manipulation of souls is not without its risks. The Divines must tread carefully, as their powers can have profound effects on the psyche and well-being of others. Attempting to forcibly alter a soul can lead to dire consequences, including trauma, madness, or a complete rupture of identity. The ethical implications of soul magic weigh heavily on the Divines, requiring them to possess not only formidable skills but also a deep sense of empathy and responsibility. They must constantly navigate the delicate balance between aiding others and respecting the sanctity of each individual's soul.

The study of soul magic often requires a deep connection to spirituality, meditation, and introspection. The Divines frequently engage in rituals that connect them to the universal consciousness, drawing upon the energies of the cosmos to enhance their abilities. They may also communicate with ancestral spirits or divine entities, seeking wisdom and guidance in their practice. As such, many Divines serve as spiritual leaders, healers, or mentors, offering support and guidance to those in need.

In society, the Divines are both revered and feared, seen as intermediaries between the living and the spiritual realm. Their abilities to influence and understand the soul grant them immense respect, but they may also be viewed with suspicion by those who fear the potential consequences of meddling with such fundamental forces. This duality shapes their existence, as they strive to promote healing and understanding while facing the complexities of their powers.

Ultimately, the Divines embody the profound interconnection between the physical and spiritual realms, reminding all that the journey of the soul is as intricate and valuable as the material world itself. Through their mastery of soul magic, they illuminate the path to understanding, healing, and spiritual fulfillment, guiding others toward a deeper connection with their true selves and the cosmos.

12. #12Raw Magic

Keys: raw magic, sages, sage, raw

    Enabled · After character · Order 10 · 100%

    Entry settings

Raw Magic, wielded by individuals known as sages, is the most primal and untamed branch of magic, representing the fundamental essence of magic itself—unrefined, chaotic, and boundless. Sages possess the unique ability to harness this raw energy to replicate and mimic the abilities of other magical branches, granting them a versatile toolkit of powers drawn from the elemental forces of nature, the intricacies of life and death, and the subtle manipulation of time and reality. This capacity allows sages to adapt and respond to various challenges, making them formidable allies in a world of magic.

While raw magic grants sages an extraordinary range of abilities, it comes with inherent limitations. Unlike the specialized practitioners of other branches—such as weavers with their mastery over reality or life keepers with their deep connection to vitality—sages cannot fully realize the potential of any single magical discipline. Their proficiency in mimicking the powers of others means they often only achieve a fraction of the effectiveness that true specialists can wield. This limitation places sages in a unique position: incredibly powerful and versatile, yet always a step behind the dedicated masters of individual branches.

The nature of raw magic is inherently unpredictable, characterized by its chaotic essence. Sages must cultivate an understanding of the forces they are channeling, requiring immense focus, adaptability, and a willingness to embrace uncertainty. This unpredictability can lead to spectacular successes or disastrous failures; a sage may attempt to replicate a powerful fire spell, only to unleash an uncontrollable blaze. Consequently, those who practice raw magic must constantly refine their skills and maintain a balance between ambition and caution, learning to respect the volatility of the forces they wield.

In their pursuit of knowledge and mastery, sages often engage in extensive study and experimentation, seeking to unlock the mysteries of raw magic and its interplay with other branches. Many sages dedicate their lives to understanding the underlying principles that govern all forms of magic, often serving as scholars, researchers, or advisors within magical communities. Their quest for knowledge leads them to collaborate with specialists from various branches, allowing them to gain insights that can enhance their own understanding and abilities.

In society, sages are both revered for their unique talents and viewed with skepticism due to the unpredictable nature of their magic. While their ability to mimic other forms of magic makes them valuable assets in times of crisis, their lack of specialization can create doubt about their effectiveness in critical situations. Some may fear the chaotic nature of raw magic, associating it with danger and instability.

Ultimately, sages embody the concept of adaptability and innovation in a world of structured magical disciplines. Their journey involves navigating the delicate balance between chaos and control, constantly seeking to understand and harness the raw energies of existence. Through their mastery of raw magic, they illuminate the potential within themselves and others, proving that even the most chaotic forces can lead to profound transformations and discoveries.
