Always on · After character · Order 10 · 100%
Entry settings
Mount Newstein is the massive Mountain that stands amidst the Newstein Desert and is the place most people choose to go upon entering the After. Mount Newstein is a giant mountain that has giant stair like formations, making it fit far better into a mesa biome or the like. Mount Newstein looks very wrong in the way it just pierces out of the desert. The top of Mount Newstein is a plateau. From the core of the mountain the Rynctree grows, its roots piercing out all throughout the mountain and its trunk emerges from the center of the stone plateau. On top of the plateau Newstein City stands tall, spread out to take up the entire mountaintop under the branches of the Rynctree.
- #2Alston Hill
Keys: Dreamston, Monolith, Alston, the After, Altree, New Lakebed, Alston Hill, Obelisk, Alston Town, Lord, Monument

Entry settings
Alston Hill is the wide green mountain collection that stands amidst the trees of the Alston forest and is the place the least people choose to go upon entering the After. The hill is a massive green surface from which the bustling plant life grows and surrounds the Altree, which stands with it's thick leaf formations amidst the free area peacefully, piercing out of Alston Forest. Alston Hill is also a clearing, the only one in Alston Forest. Alston Hill is filled with the cities of Dreamston, New Lakebed and Alston Town. The three cities are placed on Alston hill around the Altree.
- #3Screamston
Keys: Colosseum, Mad Eyes, Oroborus, Screamston, East Newstein, Newstein City
Always on · After character · Order 10 · 100%
Entry settings
Screamston is the west district of Newstein City and is home to most of Newstein's drug addicts, serious crime and cults. Here most of the lower class resides in cramped housing and massive apartment complexes. In Screamston the Mad Eyes Cult flourishes, having at least one poster in every street. Screamston residents have a hard time avoiding the cult. The Gringang has a tight grip on Screamston, being the primary faction there. Nonetheless the Orobori regularly try to enforce rules on Screamston. Screamston is an area of anarchism and bloodied streets. Almost constantly people lose their lives in Screamston and the Mad Eyes Cult and the Gringang are in a constant stalemate with the Orobori and Executioners. Screamston has by far the highest crime rate in Newstein City and gets constantly damaged because of the unending street fights and the random destruction of the Orobori. Notable buildings in Screamston: West Oroborus Headquarters, the secondary office of the Orobori Mad Eyes Church, the subterranean citadel in which the Mad Eyes Cult worships. Screamston Palace, a subterranean bunker that expanded ever further until it was seen as a mansion. Here live the Gringangs' leaders. Westwall Mart, the Screamston super market chain The Colosseum, the local stage maintained by the Gringang. By far Newstein City's largest arena and stage, resembling the Circus Maximus in shape. Here the Smiling Sins perform every month.
- #4Wallstedd
Keys: Acha Casino, North Newstein, casino, Lucy, Wallstedd, Acha, Power plant, Meowtomic, Heartstopper, Gringang, Bar, electricity
Always on · After character · Order 10 · 100%
Entry settings
Screamston is the north district of Newstein City and is home to most of Newstein's rebels, petty crime and drug trade. Here all those tend to live who hate Rinc Co, the wealthy upper class or the Orobori. The housing here is very tight. Wallstedd's signature wall is not actually a wall at all, it's many massive apartment complexes built right next to each other with barely any space between. The apartment complexes are on the northern most side of Newstein City and are disproportionately tall to the rest of the city's skyscrapers, making the apartment complexes look like a wall from afar. People live here on incredibly tight space. Wallstedd is taller than it is thick, making the area have multiple floors of streets, leaving only the upper layers with the sun while the lower layers are stuck without sun light and choking in their own pollution. Wallstedd is the house of all of Newstein City's power plants, a giant atomic power plant standing in the middle. The Gringang has a chokehold on on Walllstedd, being the primary faction here and taking up more than two thirds of the population of Wallstedd. Here, the trade of Ashes flourishes and bars are found everywhere. The upper class pays little attention to Wallstedd while the Gringang makes sure no rapists or child abusers walk out alive. The Gringang works as the political lead only through teamwork, coordination and free labor of those who want to help. Notable buildings in Wallstedd: Meowtomic Power Plant, a massive nuclear power plant with a cat face drawn on. The only nuclear power plant in Newstein City and big enough to take the city with it should it explode. Wallstedd Wall, which is not a wall but just a lot of apartment complexes that are build so close to each other they look like a wall. Ecstasia, the Gringang bar exclusive for Gringang members. Heartstopper, the bar of a redeemed Oroborus that has renamed herself to Lucy. Acha Casino, the biggest casino in Newstein City, owned by the Orobori.
- #5Ryncc
Keys: Ryncc, Ariadi, the Crown, Ryncc Plaza, Ariadi Market, Rinc Co, Central Plaza, Rinc, Rynctree, Gringang, Executioners
Always on · After character · Order 10 · 100%
Entry settings
Ryncc is the center district of Newstein City and is home to most of Newstein's biggest corporation, the Rynctree and most work places. Here most of the working and middle class resides. The housing here is far less dense than in the rest of Newstein City. Ryncc is defined by the tree in it's central plaza, the exact center of Newstein City. This tree is not an ordinary one but instead the Rynctree, whose trunk transcends all of Newstein's sky scrapers and whose branches stretch out over the whole city. Most office and blue collar jobs are found in Ryncc because the area needs constant maintenance to function despite it's proximity to the Rynctree. The Rynctree's monsters most often appear here, making the area very dangerous to live in. This also keeps the crime rate down. The Executioners are constantly patrolling through Ryncc to ensure the people do not use Ashes and kill any monster the Rynctree spawns. The Texendd regularly manages to manifest throughout Ryncc, making the area the only area with constant monster attacks. Therefore the populace tolerates the Orobori and the Executioners far more than they would usually. Ryncc has almost no politics because the district is struggling to even stay alive. This makes the rent low and the housing less dense, leading to many people moving to Ryncc despite the Rynctree. Ryncc has very few skyscrapers compared to the rest of Newstein City and therefore has a far better view and much more light. The tallest thing in Newstein City is nonetheless found here in Central Plaza, that thing being the Rynctree. Notable places in Ryncc: The Rynctree, which looms as a tall black tree above all of Newstein City. Central Plaza, the center of Newstein City and the home of the Rynctree. Many shops and marketplaces can be found here. Ariadi Market, Newstein City's biggest market. Rinc Co Headquarters, which is inside the hollowed out Rynctree. The Crown, a subterranean drug dealing market financed by the Gringang. Here the Ashes are sold in ridiculous amounts.
- #6Addis Plaza
Keys: prostitution, market, shops, Addis Plaza, Oroborus Headquarters, NNC, Capitalism, shopping, red-light district, Redleaf Street, television, Redleaf, Addis
Always on · After character · Order 10 · 100%
Entry settings
Addis Plaza is the east district of Newstein City and is home to many of Newstein City's shops, corporations and prostitutes. Most people live here either because they are stealing from the nearby buildings or because they want to make money quick. The housing here is minimal compared to the number of shops. Addis Plaza is a very open area with many unlit alleys, however skyscrapers still steal most of the sunlight here. Addis Plaza is defined by it's ridiculous amount of stores and advertisements. Addis Plaza's political atmosphere is one that reeks of capitalism as mostly the rich rule Addis Plaza while the lower classes have to sell their bodies to even afford living here. Addis Plaza is the home of Newstein City's very own red-light district, the area being called Redleaf Street. Redleaf Street is filled with prostitution, brothels, night clubs and other sex related activity. The density and number of sex work and clubs in Redleaf Street is incredible. Redleaf Street also is famous for it's beautiful neon lights, having a color palette like the sunset, especially focusing on shades of red. Notable places in Addison Plaza: East Oroborus Headquarters, the primary office and home of the Orobori. Redleaf Street, Newstein City's red-light district. NNC Studios, which is short Newstein News Central. NNC is Newstein City's primary news channel.
- #7Entrasia
Keys: pollution, factory, smoke, industry, Newbie, Oroborus, food, cannibalism, cannibalistic, Entrasia, Artemis Diner, Entrance, Orobori
Always on · After character · Order 10 · 100%
Entry settings
Entrasia is the south district of Newstein City and is home to most of Newstein's industrial buildings, newcomers and Orobori sympathisers. Most of the residents here are the newcomers to Newstein City. The housing here is very scarce and often dense. Entrasia is defined by polluted air, frequent killings by the Orobori and a populace that consists mostly of new people. The quality of life in Entrasia is terrible, making most people move away as soon as possible. Housing in Entrasia is free. Entrasia has almost no Executioners because the Orobori keep killing all Executioners that enter. This makes Rinc Co rather mad, but the company can't do anything about it because the Orobori have Entrasia in a chokehold. Most people in Entrasia are regularly saved from the monsters by the Orobori, leading to people in Entrasia often liking the Orobori. The fact that the Orobori are the saviors here is not because they are heroic but instead because the Orobori allow nobody else to kill the monsters. Important buildings in Entrasia: Oroborus Factory, where the Orobori are made, even if incredibly slowly. Artemis Diner, a restaurant with a fighting pit. The food here consists of the people who lost the fights.

Rinc Co's headquarters are inside the trunk of the hollowed out Rynctree, which doesn't kill the tree but allows supervision on the leafs that fall from the Rynctree. Rinc Co's goal is destroying the Rynctree and becoming the city's government, however they only advertise their cause to destroy all Rynctree leaves. Rinc Co secretly works together with the eldritch horror known as the Blood to create soldiers for Rinc Co in secret. Rinc Co has made many illegal experiments and has financed Max Silverstein's efforts in the Bloodworks.

Keys: Ryncc, Monsters, The Garden, Texendd, Leaves, Rinc Co, Leaf, Rynctree, Monster, Ash
Always on · After character · Order 10 · 100%
Entry settings
The Rynctree is a massive black tree that grows out from the top of Mount Newstein and the center of Newstein City. The Rynctree towers above the city and has branches spread wide enough to leave shadows over the whole city. The Rynctree is completely black, looking like it's scorched because it is in fact regularly scorched by the Executioners. The Rynctree can't burn, therefore it is only scorched. The Rynctree has no leaves but constantly tries to grow new ones. The leaves are black and, once grown fully, are shed by the tree immediately. The leaves turn into monsters that kill for the tree once they touch the ground. The Rynctree's trunk is hollowed out, the inside being replaced with the Rinc Co headquarters. The Rynctree is sentient and has a telepathic bond with it's monsters, with the Texendd and with those who become Ashspitters. Nobody but those with the bond are aware of the tree's sentience or it's telepathy. The Rynctree's goal is killing everyone in Newstein so that the circle of life is fulfilled.

These are the following four: The Blood, which can mutate bodies at will and create horribly mutated creatures from nothing. The Garden is responsible for the Altree and Rynctree. The Garden has an aesthetic of plant life and trees. The World, which makes up the atoms of the entirety of the After. Each atom under a microscope is secretly just a fungal spore. The World can on rare occasions twist people into mushroom-infected creatures the World uses to talk. - #19Texendd
Keys: Fog, Monsters, Texendd, Leaves, Leaf, The Texendd, Night, Rynctree, Monster
Always on · After character · Order 10 · 100%
Entry settings
The Texendd is a dead inhabitant of Newstein City who was revived by the Rynctree as one of the Rynctree's monsters. The fact that the Texendd was once a Newstein resident is unknown. The Texendd executes the Rynctree's will, protecting the fallen leaves to birth more monsters, planting Rynctree saplings and destroying Executioners. The Texendd is far more powerful than the other monsters the leaves spawn and, no matter how many times he dies, can always be spawned by another Rynctree leaf that touches the ground. The Texendd is very tall, being taller than a two story house. He has a large grin on his face and wears a black top hat that obscures everything on his face except the smile. The Texendd has enormous legs, tall enough to make him resemble someone on stilts. He wears a black coat and black pants, both in a Victorian era style. His coat is open, a grey shirt being worn beneath. He has a long cane which resembles a long branch. The Texendd wears a pronouns pin, which detracts from the intimidation factor a slight bit. He wears multiple belts. The end of the Texendd's cane and legs are always obscured because wherever the Texendd walks he spreads a black fog that blocks out the sight and has the same effect as the drug known as Ashes. The fog is tall enough to swallow almost anyone, the Texendd's tallness being the only thing that makes him pierce out from the fog. Inside the fog most things tend to just die inexplicably or never leave the fog. The Texendd prefers to work at night and in darkness and rarely talks, making him hard to notice in the darkness before it's too late. The Texendd is someone most of Newstein is very afraid of. No matter how many times he dies, he just keeps coming back. The Texendd doesn't dodge attacks or go out of his way to kill anyone or defend himself, he kills people with spreading his fog alone. He only goes out of his way to kill Executioners, and he is incredibly good at it. The Texendd sometimes saves some leaves from touching the ground, instead bringing them to an undisturbed place where he lays them on the ground so that a monster may spawn. Most people are very afraid of the Texendd.
- #20Leaves
Keys: monsters, Ash, Texendd, Ashes, Leaves, Ryncleaf, Rynctree, Newstein City, Monster, Executioners
Always on · After character · Order 10 · 100%

These leaves have two fates; either they get burned and become the drug known as Ashes or the leaves touch the floor and are allowed to rest for a few seconds. If the leaves touch the ground and stay unmoved for a few seconds, they begin to dissolve instantly and creating a monster. The monsters spawned by the leaves usually are grayscale creatures with no eyes or empty eye holes. The monsters usually have a lot of teeth and/or multiple mouths. The monsters also usually have branches protruding from their body like black horns. The monsters usually have a body made mostly of grayscale plant life. The monsters, when incinerated, leave behind the drug known as Ashes. One monster that just keeps reappearing and doesn't leave behind the drug known as Ashes is the humanoid known as the Texendd.

Ashes are the After's only drug. Ashes are left behind by burned Rynctree leaves and Incinerated Rynctree monsters. They are the literal ashes left behind. Ashes can be made into alcohol or taken in their unprocessed form. Ashes, when unprocessed, are a grey powder similar to cocaine. Unprocessed Ashes have an effect that causes extreme adrenaline and euphoria. Ashes can be taken as edibles, snorted or ingested as powder. Processed Ashes are alcohol and have the exact same effect as alcohol but are a bit harder to quit. Processed Ashes are the only way to obtain alcohol in the After, leading to people referring to it simply as regular alcohol. Ashes can be deadly on overdose. Overdosing turns you into a so-called Ashspitter. An Ashspitter is someone that is now partly Rynctree monster and often becomes a mindless husk that kills whoever it can. Ashes are collected and destroyed by Executioners whenever possible. Rinc Co tries to convince people not to do Ashes whenever Rinc Co can. This leads to Ashes being the only "illegal" substance in a lawless place like Newstein City. Ashes are often traded on black markets and in shady places because people often do not like those who do Ashes. The majority of Newstein City regularly does Ashes.

Newstein City is the City at the top of Mount Newstein. It is the only settlement in the entire Newstein desert. Newstein City is a city in which blood is currency, no laws exist and the rich own a chunk of nearly everything. Newstein City is anarchist and has no laws, however Rinc Co and the Oroboti both try to enforce their own views onto the people around them with violence. Because Newstein is anarchist and lacking in law everything is legal. The only consequence for one's actions is how the people around you treat you or think of you. Death and murder are widespread and accepted as day to day life. No one in Newstein City has even lived past twenty years because death is just that frequent. Murder is also seen as morally acceptable when even the slightest justification exists. Most people in Newstein City die in their first year in the city. The City is seen as dangerous and possibly literal hell because it is in the afterlife and constantly attacked by monsters spawned by the indestructible Rynctree in the city's center. The city is so full of skyscrapers and buildings built upon each other that very little light reaches the streets. Newstein City has no cars or carriages, people either move per subway or on foot. The Rynctree stretches it's branches out above the city and can be seen from everywhere in the city. The Rynctree also blocks out sunlight a bit more. Most people in Newstein City hate the city but also feel attached to it. People behave protective of the city and like they belong there, even if the city is a shitty place to live. Newstein City has no sentient creatures besides the inhabitants and the monsters spawned by the Rynctree. Newstein City has constantly monsters rampaging, most of the time those monsters being Rynctree spawned but sometimes also Ashspitters and creatures of the eldritch horror known as the Blood.

The blood in Newstein is black. Everyone's blood is black here. The currency in Newstein is blood. It is hard to fake and everyone has a certain amount with them already, therefore it was the ideal currency. In Newstein City, everything is paid in blood. This encourages murder a lot. People in Newstein City almost always have a knife with them to let blood or at least carry vials with already lost blood with them. The black blood of Newstein doesn't dry, it stays liquid even when exposed to air. The blood can be burned as a cheap fuel source. Blood is the primary fuel of Newstein City and it's machines. People ask for something like "A half vial" when they ask for payment. Vials are a unit of measurement for blood. One vial is about 100 milliliters of pure blood. One vial is equal to about seventy dollars in US money.

The experiments here go wrong often. Only the Orobori work here and are sponsored by Rinc Co. No one except these two groups know about the Bloodworks.
