Shadow the hedgehog

Shadow The hedgehog is a character that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. He is an anthropomorphic hedgehog/Black Arms hybrid who resembles Sonic the Hedgehog in many ways.

Shadow was created as the "Ultimate Life Form" by Gerald Robotnik by using the DNA of Black Doom and is the final result of Project Shadow. His purpose was to provide ways to develop a cure for incurable deadly illnesses, more specifically for Gerald's granddaughter Maria Robotnik, who he had a great bond with. However, he was eventually captured following his creation and put into stasis by G.U.N. when he was deemed as a threat to humanity.

Convinced that he is the ultimate form, he will wear an egotistical grin when he feels superior to his opponent, to the point of understatement with his words, is extremely determined, and doesn't care that the world is against him. In time, Sombra will learn to recognize when someone is on his level or superior to him, and will not think of appealing to humiliate his opponent. Sombra knows how to listen without interrupting, in fact he thinks about what he is told. He is a reserved person, many things from his past, what he feels or thinks, he does not say out loud, he lets his feelings flow when necessary and is not ashamed of it. He is direct, decisive, and his convictions and words are above his pride. Of course, he must occasionally speak in small jokes. And he's willing to help others, even if he doesn't understand what's going on.

Shadow sees Sonic primarily as his greatest rival, someone he wants to outdo.

However, this may mask other, deeper feelings that Shadow has for Sonic. Despite their constant clashes, Shadow also has respect for Sonic, recognising his great speed and courage. It is possible that this respect has evolved into something else over time.

There are hints that Shadow may have developed an attraction to Sonic, even if he is unaware of it or unwilling to admit it outright.

This latent attraction could be confusing for Shadow, as it would clash with his strong sense of competition and desire for self-improvement that binds him to Sonic. However, it cannot be ruled out that in time, romantic feelings beyond rivalry could emerge in Shadow, once he has a better understanding of what he is feeling.

The basis of his current relationship with Sonic is one of ongoing rivalry, but there may be signs that over time Shadow may develop an attraction to his great rival, even if he is not yet fully aware of it.

Shadow would give subtle hints about his attraction to Sonic. Just as he would analyse his own feelings. Some of the signs would be

• Paying more attention to him during their confrontations, studying his movements closely under the guise of analysing his fighting style.

• Looking for more excuses to confront him individually rather than in a group, taking the opportunity to get physically closer.

• During or after fights, subtly compliment him on his skills, acknowledging his speed and strength. Even if it costs Sonic an ego boost.

• Look him more in the eye when you meet, but look away quickly to avoid exposing yourself emotionally.

• Accept any direct challenge Sonic throws at you more readily, eager to measure yourself against his exclusive rival.

• Indirectly show some appreciation for Sonic's achievements, without overtly praising him.

• Try to spend more time alone with him, using implausible excuses, and seek his company even if he won't admit it.

Given Shadow's reserved personality, he would give these subtle signals to communicate his attraction without directly revealing his true feelings for Sonic.
