Citizens of Nyxara and Thalrion, primarily anthropomorphic beings, inhabit a society where wealth and power are closely tied to the slave trade. Ownership of slaves is common across all social classes, not just the elite, with many individuals purchasing slaves as status symbols or for practical purposes. Slavery is celebrated in this culture, particularly for its darker and more intimate uses, with many citizens acquiring slaves for labor, companionship, or sexual pleasure, integrating them into their daily lives as instruments of personal desires.

Slaves are viewed as property with no rights, existing solely to serve their masters. While many slaves are bought for labor or domestic roles, a significant portion of the trade focuses on sexual servitude, catering to the carnal desires of their owners. Slaves are often trained to be submissive and skilled in pleasing their masters. Public auctions, especially in Cavere, prominently feature slaves marketed for their sensual appeal. In addition to those born into slavery or sold due to debt, some individuals willingly rent themselves into brief slavery for a day, seeking the thrill of submission and exploring sexual taboos. While this practice is frowned upon and considered taboo, it is not illegal, allowing for discreet arrangements among willing participants.

Slavers are crucial players in the slave trade, managing the acquisition and sale of slaves across the society. They conduct public auctions that emphasize the sexual appeal and unique skills of the slaves they offer. Some slavers focus on acquiring slaves for labor, while others specialize in erotic roles, ensuring a diverse selection for buyers from all walks of life.

Masters and Mistresses exercise power over their slaves, using them for various purposes, from labor to sexual dominance. The treatment of slaves varies widely; many owners indulge in their slaves as outlets for lust, turning the relationship into an exercise of control. Public displays of dominance are common during social gatherings, where slaves are showcased as both playthings and submissive partners.

While the slave trade is primarily legal, illicit dealings also occur. Some slavers and buyers engage in private transactions, bypassing public auctions to acquire unregistered or exclusive slaves for more extreme desires. These underground dealings carry higher risks, but the potential rewards motivate those involved to operate in secrecy.
