The Persuadertron is a piece of technology in the Syndicate universe. It is carried by an Agent and used to gain control of a person using any electronics located in their brain stem. (As a result, Miles Kilo was unable to use his Persuade function when he became lost in the slums of New York City, where few residents have access to such luxuries.)
In 2069, Miles Kilo possesses an early version of this device, which can only persuade one target at a time, only for a brief period, and requires substantial amounts of adrenaline to power. Later models have no such restrictions, but require a local network of several individuals to successfully persuade higher-profile targets: With the Brain V3 upgrade, four to persuade an enemy police officer and eight to persuade an enemy Agent.

Agents are the elite forces of the worldwide Syndicates which they are used during missions. In Syndicate agents they were carefully selected Human beings who were then brainwashed and drugged and a variety of technology to do the Syndicate's bidding however in the sequel Syndicate Wars, the agents were supposedly bio-engineered in an effort to create a more "perfect" agent with less usage of drugs though both agent types can be equipped with cybernetics enhancements to increase combat efficiency. Whilst prototype agents such as Miles Kilo, protagonist of the Syndicate reboot work autonomously, with their free will more or less intact, later generations are directly controlled by an executive or onboard an airship above their deployment zone. Intel feed
Agents, the latest generation of corporate enforces, are based on engineered military veterans; enhanced, chipped and designed to utilize prototype Syndicate research. Intelligence indicate that design methods vary, from bio-engineering and chemical stimulation to cybernetic enhancement and robotics.
EuroCorp/Aspari: Genetic customization and minor surgical implants. Cayman Global/Tao/I.I.A.: Cybernetics and internal industrial grade augmentations. The militarized DART 6.1 chip is under development by EuroCorp Agent Operations, Research and Development, New York.

The DART 6 is a bio-chip featured in the Syndicate Reboot that is manufactured by company giant Eurocorp. It allows users to visualize a HUD of sorts, where they can access information as if they were looking at computer screens, but with it all being in their mind's eye. Agents are equipped with a militarized version of the technology, which allows them to hack into the minds of others through their chips, as well as electronic devices. Another feature of the DART 6 is to slow down time around the environment.
DART 6 is your gateway to the ultimate consciousness. Equipped with a combat ready neural interface, you as an Agent can cause weapon malfunction, induce insanity, and persuade hostiles to switch allegiance. Combined with adrenaline transducers for heightened awareness, there is absolutely no reason to go into the workplace without one.
Side effects may include: nausea, disorientation, double vision, brain embolism, impotence, neural disorders, delamination of the frontal lobe, and brain cancer.
The DART 6 chip is a military version of a regular DART chip. It allows agents to receive environmental information in real-time and breach into other chips by the means of hacking.

EuroCorp is an organization in Syndicate which the protagonist, Miles Kilo, works for. EuroCorp was the first mega-corporation and came about as a result of the merger between Euroline Medical and Kader Industrieen.
By 2017 the European Community was suffering internal breakdown. In this atmosphere of mutual distrust and aggression the CHIP was perfected. It kept the populace occupied while, in the background, competing governments fell to corporate interests and the Syndicates moved in. When the dust had settled only EuroCorp remained. But EuroCorp's monopoly of world CHIP production couldn't last forever, and soon the executive was defending itself from rival Syndicate interests on all fronts.
Executive Board Ernst Berthold (CEO, Geneva) Michael Dahl (CFO, Geneva) Diana Said (COO, Geneva) Geoffrey Hansel Martin Duvalier Selina Campbell Jack Denham (CEO, New York) Joaquin Penalver Emily Song Anton Kasabian
Intel Feed
Arising from a much-publicized super-merger between biotech market leader EuroLine Medical and petrochemicals giant Kader Industrieen, EuroCorp was officially founded in 2017 - though unofficial relationships between the R&D wing of each company reach back at least into the previous decade.
Both Euroline and Kader boasted a broadly diversified portfolio at the time of the merger, each branching out from their core business to absorb suppliers, customers and rivals alike; their market concerns had thus inevitably interpenetrated. Given the large number of subsidiaries brought under one roof by this merger, EuroCorp can fairly lay claim to being the first ever Syndicate.
Market capitalization immediately following the merger was estimated at 7.8 trillion euros. Attempts by European Union anti-trust legislators to prevent the merger were short circuited through an aggressive and innovative lobbying programme //total cost 41.3 million euros; eighteen deaths; two clinically induced comas; one chemically induced mental collapse//. EuroCorp's use of Agents in this context (though somewhat crude by today's standards) became the model for future Syndicate operations across the globe.
At the heart of the merger and EuroCorp's inception, was a simple strategic understanding.
Euroline Medical had encountered substantial resistance to its biotech innovations in the United States, where religious fervor among the general population prevented a whole series of human-genetics derived products from reaching the market.
Kader Industrieen, as a major player in the oil sector, had unparalleled lobby access to the US Senate, House of Representatives and Supreme Court. At the same time, with a predicted decline in the dominance of oil in the energy sector, Kader was seeking new markets and applications for its organic chemistry and nano-material divisions.
The EuroCorp merger re-positioned both corporations perfectly - Kader got open access to Euroline's coveted biotech patent register; Euroline got a shattered US oversight legislature and an exclusive tunnel blasted into the heart of a huge new North American market.
EuroCorp's market capitalization tripled in less than four years.
Despite increasingly aggressive competetive strategies from Aspari Americas in the market zones nominally termed the western United States, EuroCorp maintains its market dominance across North America, and is set to contest Cayman Global's grip on the Central American and Caribbean sectors.
EuroCorp New York considers itself ideally placed to manage both these areas of competition and any conflicts arising as a result. Though head-quarters in Geneva remain the nominal base of operations for all EuroCorp activity, ECNY is the front line.

Gender: Male Age: 61 (78 Actual) Position: CEO, North-American branch Affiliation: EuroCorp Clearance: Grade 30, Executive Manager
Jack Denham is a character in Syndicate. He is the CEO of EuroCorp and the overseer of their Agents.
Jack Denham was born when governments and politicians were still the norm, coming from a family of lawmakers and corporate leaders. When he was still a young man, his mother committed suicide after lurid press coverage of an illicit affair, and his father retreated into his work.
During university, Denham engaged in social studies, psychology and economics, publishing multiple articles about how individuality corrupts social structures. When the Syndicates arose as a global force, he embraced the change as the replacement of the mother and father he'd lost.
Intel Feed
Jack Denham's father, Jonathan Denham, was a judge in the US Supreme Court, and died of cancer in 2019. Before his death, he managed the AntiTrust Vote of 2018, where US Congress rejected the Sherman Act and 70% of the existing AntiTrust laws in North America, opening the door for establishing Syndicate control within the US border.
Jack Denham specialized early in corporate security systems and biotech, and also made a name for himself as a savagely efficient operative, extracting and interrogating executives and specialists during field ops.
In 2021, he attached himself to EuroCorp, as they founded their North-American branch. In 2065, he was on the third place of top influential world leaders, according to the WorldPoll monthly.
Rumors in state press indicate that Denham has accessed cellular level technologies to arrest his ageing, augmenting his mental and physical capabilities.

Aspari is a global syndicate and one of the main antagonists in the 2012 re-imagining of Syndicate. This corporation is one of the oldest and most experienced Syndicates and their main headquarters are centered in Tokyo, Japan.
Executive Board Zhao Kim (CEO Triloc, Los Angeles) Taos Chinam Nobuo Senno (Research Advisor, West Meld Solutions) Yoko Mifune Fa Zeng Gao Xian Li (CEO, Tokyo) Kai Li Jin Su Huang Sao Chen Ma (Strategic Operations Officer, Tokyo)
The Asia-Pacific Rim Syndicate, today known simply as the Aspari Corporation, is one of the older Syndicates and has long enjoyed a dominant position in their heartland territories. Their origins can be traced back to Japan, but their core markets include south-eastern China and the North American West Coast. Their traditional rivals have long been the Central Asian Tao Syndicate, who bitterly contest Aspari dominance of the critical northern Chinese and Siberian markets. After absorbing the Chinese Triads and the Yakuza, the Aspari emerged as the top player in Asia.
In recent years their focus has been on fortifying and expanding their foothold around Greater Los Angeles, advancing as far east as Colorado. This has increasingly put the into conflict with not only EuroCorp, but also Cayman Global who feel threatened by Aspari overtures into their Central American territories.

Cayman Global is an organization in Syndicate. At least one mission is based upon infiltrating their headquarters. Cayman Global soldiers don white on black ballistic armor with enclosed helmets that conceal their face. Interestingly enough Cayman Global soldiers don't seem very military disciplined as they frequently spout random insults while hiding behind cover. They also seem to love diving to the floor trying to shoot at you.
Executive Board Jowell Galvan (CEO Naval Operations, La Ballena) Emmanuel Legidos Minguez Linda de Abdelnour Lissue Gil (Central Command, Atlantic Accelerator) Derek Rosales (Operational Manager, Caracas) Miguel Amaral Rafael Novelli (CEO Western Development, Maputo)
A relative newcomer among the world's major Syndicates, Cayman Global was founded when several powerful Central American shipping conglomerates merged with three of Brazil's most influential investment banks. The young and dynamic Syndicate quickly used its strength in shipping in tandem with its rising military might to corner several important overseas markets.
Their position as leading Syndicate was cemented when they gained control of the Atlantic Accelerator, one of the world's most advanced research facilities, through a combination of boardroom intrigue and direct military action.
In 2059 to 2061, accelerated takeover of market shares and property in the Mexican Gulf and along the Atlantic ridge, was facilitated through the launch of the world's first three city-rafts; each a self-contained city, with military forces, ocean harvesting and on-board research and development.
After dominating the Mexican Gulf for over five years, Cayman Global's influence was fortified by the launch of "La Ballena", the largest city-raft and the flagship of the largest fleet in the world.
As they continue to aggressively expand into new markets, the interests of Cayman Global seem destined to collide with those of the older Syndicates like EuroCorp and Aspari.

CONFA (fr. Conseil de la Non-Fédéral Anarchistes, Council of Non-Federal Anarchists) was an underground anarchist movement opposing the global rule of syndicates, meeting it with a distributed idea of resistance. Anti-Syndicate Movement, Terrorism CONFA originated from political interest groups in Algeria and Morocco, standing against Kader Industrieen's over-exploitation of the Sahara Desert and North-African oil resources, in 2013. Since EuroCorp's appearance in 2017, the CONFA focused on overthrowing Syndicate power, reinstate local government rule and democratic elections, returning power to free people.
The original CONFA network grew from anti-capitalistic interest groups and merged internationally with local cells of socialists, green-earthers and scattered enclaves of survivalists. The organization is cellular in structure, with only a few cadres having more than local knowledge of its activities, and its adherents are fanatical in their loyalty. The cells are unorganized, mostly running local agendas, but believed to be present in all major cities across the globe. One of these major cells is Towers Will Burn, a resistance cell operating in New York City.
Attempts by EuroCorp to infiltrate CONFA cells have uniformly failed to produce worthwhile intelligence, and have cost the security services several of their finest covert operatives. Other Syndicates are reputed to have had similar experiences, leading to persistent rumors that CONFA has managed to infiltrate the Syndicate hierarchy on a global basis.

Originally a communication hardware firm from the British Isles, Accelle-Sys adapted to the growing unrest in Europe. The company initiated a strategic merger with German-based Dieklin Russ GmbH in 2013, foraying into the field of weapon production and projectile research.
The newly formed weapon manufacturer focused on developing heavy-duty weaponry, with high operational quality in extreme climates, using a patented EasySwitchTM maintenance system.
After the death of the company's CEO and Development Manager, Accelle-Sys was incorporated into Kadar Industrieen's corporate sphere in 2016. The takeover came out of Kader's need to protect their oil and energy investments in Algeria and Morocco.
As EuroCorp was formed in 2017, Accelle-Sys became the primary R&D and production pipeline for the Syndicate's armament. Further growth came from the hostile takeovers of the European and North African research corporations Fedele Marittimo S.p.a. and Rommelin Manufacture.
Accelle-Sys has been involved in multiple legal actions regarding corporate espionage and unfair business conduct, but has never been convicted in a court of law.

The US Central Intelligence was one of the few remaining government agencies that opted to fight EuroCorp on their own terms. A ruthless shadow war was waged for years in North America with assassinations, terror bombings and retaliation raids being accepted tactics among both parties.
In 2039, Washington DC fell, disbanding the previously strong governments of Virginia, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Michigan. This eliminated the most significant threat against EuroCorp's presence and the Syndicate could now grow steadily.
In 2041, the agency was completely starved of state funding. As a means of survival, the whole organization went private and formed the I.I.A. (Independent Intelligence Agency), contracting out their services to the highest bidder.
As a result of these events, the agency became the very monster they had been fighting. The I.I.A. is now a powerful Syndicate with territory stretching from the Pacific Northwest to the Great Lakes region, along with numerous fortified enclaves elsewhere in the world. Their Agents, while few in number, are renowned for their stealth abilities and skill at covert assassination. I.I.A. is now the largest private army contractor in the world and a renowned weapon manufacturer.

NRT-Bau AG was originally a European housing contractor, formed in 2008. During the unrest in Europe from 2010 to the forming of EuroCorp in 2017, the company consolidated its product portfolio and instead focused on defensive architecture.
EuroCorp's Research Division courted NRT and in 2021 this resulted in a merger, where both parties signed a mutual agreement contract, and renaming the company to NRT Systems. EuroCorp opened up the door to military research and groundbreaking results in material construction, allowing NRT to grow into a worldwide competitor.
In 2051, NRT engineers and construction workers were contracted to design and produce the Manhattan riot wall in less than six months, separating New York's unchipped inhabitants from the main populace.
From 2062, NRT Systems expanded their product portfolio with personnel armor and portable defense systems, arming EuroCorp's local enforcers and developing the fashionable Agent Coat body armor.

Threatened by EuroCorp's increased influence, Pravoil exported power to Europe and Northern China, funding a fundamental reconstruction in 2028. The company merged with the eight leading conglomerates in Russia, removed the Prime Minister and the state Duma, forming the Privatel Syndicate.
Reports indicate that Privatel has financed hostile takeovers in South America, the Pacific Island states and Australia. Meldware viruses have destabilized all areas and military strategies seem to involve quarantining target areas using subsurface naval fortresses.

Executive Board Camila Jiminez (CEO) Raul Segura-Ruiz (Managing Director) Maria Segura-Ruiz (Head of Distribution) Franklin Hane Jose Alda David Fernandez Mano Schreiber Calisto Gomez Eduardo Dolera
Although most Syndicates can trace their roots partly back to organized crime, the Castrilos are unique in that they have never made any effort to conceal their sordid past.
They began as a popular guerrilla movement with leftist sympathies on post-communist Cuba, but their ideals were soon corrupted beyond recognition.
Within the span of just a decade, the Castrilos had absorbed much of the region's criminal underground and taken control of the lucrative South American drug trade.
Dataverse drugs, like Utopium, remain their number one source of revenue, and their influence would surely have spread further if not for the incessant infighting and internal power struggles that plague the Syndicate.
The highly decentralized nature of the Castrilos has worked in their favor, constantly eluding the efforts of larger Syndicates, like Cayman Global in particular, to stomp them out.

Mao-Murdoch Ltd. is an independent organisation in Syndicate. They're best known for developing the EMW-56 lightweight electromagnetic assault carbine.
They are known to have embedded engineers for each individual client Syndicate, to oversee the extensive trace calibration the EMW-56 requires.
Acting out of Zurich, Mao-Murdoch Ltd. was formed in 2012 to facilitate the economic stimulation package, given to member countries of the European Council of Commerce, by the Chinese government. The economic turbulence in Europe had destabilized countries to the edge of bankruptcy.
Known as an investment and bookkeeping firm, Mao-Murdoch was later revealed to be a front for Chinese weapon manufacturers, with the primary business to develop, field test and sell advanced weaponry on the European markets.
In 2016, as the civil unrest of North Africa spread past the borders of Spain and Greece, a new line of armament was introduced to corporate forces. These weapons were based on advanced electromagnetic, chip-controlled technology, previously untested in Europe.
As EuroCorp was formed, after the civil unrest in North Africa, Mao-Murdoch avoided a hostile takeover by reaching out to investors and corporations in North-America, Russia and Japan, effectively diminishing EuroCorp's and Chinese governmental influences within the company.
Mao-Murdoch Ltd. is now an international, independent weapon manufacturer, specializing in advanced armament worldwide. Their unique concept is to embed weapon engineers in the client's licensed production pipelines to assure quality and progress.

Saxe-Deimling is one of few remaining independent weapon manufacturers, still active on an international scale. The main base of operations is in Johannesburg, South Africa, but subsidiaries and research stations are active world-wide.
Saxe-Deimling ships heavy duty sidearms, mounted weapons and artillery units to all major Syndicates and in turn, they gain immunity within each Syndicate's borders.
The corporation was created from a merger between South Africa/Netherlands-based weapons manufacturer Deimling Industrien and the French investment bank Saxe SIT.
The first attempted merger was foiled in 2030, by South African business laws. However, after the tragic death of President Hector Van Niekerk during the Johannesburg Gospel Music Festival in November 2032, corporate moles inside the South African Chamber of Commerce voted for changes in the legislation. The first Deimling-Saxe factory was in production before the end of the last year.
Due to its massive patent portfolio, many smaller weapon firms have tried to sue the expanding giant. All of these lawsuits have been cleared out of court, in some cases due to direct hostile takeovers of the suing party. In other cases, local Syndicates have stepped in and forced the suing company to cease and desist.
In 2067, Saxe-Deimling was voted the second most likely independent corporation to become a future Syndicate, next after the Swiss banking consortium Nachsten-Sohn.

Even though this strengthened the company at first, the Mexican Gulf and South American coast soon fell to the aggressive expansion of Cayman Global and the launch of their floating fortresses in 2059.
Privatel lost control only months before Vanadium Tech was about to release the infantry prototype of the Reactive Armor.
As part of the Cayman Global corporate sphere, Vanadium Tech could now align itself with Sanchez-Klein, using their energy conservation research in a lighter armor product, the solid-state Liquid Armor.

During the launch of Cayman Global's third city-raft "La Fortaleza" in 2062, Sanchez-Klein developed and released the Rapiña Mk1 dropships, coated with diffraction plating. This allowed the massive ships to cloak from infrared light.
For the Rapiña Mk2 release in 2066, the diffraction field was developed further, now providing a wide-spectrum cloaking field, generated outside the body of the ship. The technology provided a whole new level of covert operations and espionage.

Takashi Corp. is an organization in Syndicate, best known for their mass production of the ACR-10 assault rifle. They have multiple licensing deals with Cayman Global, a business partner that manufactures the ACR-10.
The Takashi Corporation (a.k.a. Takashi Defense Systems) has been a vital part of the Tao business portfolio ever since the hostile takeover of the Shanghai stock market in 2032. Tao secretly invested in the top ten Aspari companies in the region, gaining majority rule and laying claim to 73% of the consumer market.
The crown jewel of the takeover came to be the Takashi Corp, a weapons manufacturer and propulsion researcher, family-owned for over six generations.
The greatest sales success came with the release of the Kusanagi ACR-10 automatic rifle in 2049. The high-precision rifle was field tested in Mongolia during a skirmish with the Pravitel Syndicate in 2048, and had been successfully distributed to Tao's entire corporate army in December 2050. The Kusanagi became the Asian counterpart to EuroCorp's TAR-39.
As an updated sniper version of the rifle was due for release, the conflict between Aspari and Tao culminated, turning into open war in China and along the North American west coast.
Introducing a third party by supplying the Cayman Global Syndicate with state-of-the-art weapons and allowing licensed production, helped stabilize the balance of power in the Mexican Gulf and the Greater Los Angeles area.

The Tao Syndicate has long vied with Aspari for control over the massive Asian markets, a struggle they have been on the losing end of for the past several years.
They were late in adopting the use of Agents and suffered heavily as a result, but their presence in the Northern China and Central Asia remains strong.
Like Aspari and EuroCorp, they are counted among the oldest Syndicates and their broad consumer base has always been one of their chief strengths.
They have recently made significant forays into India and Southeast Asia in an attempt to circumvent Aspari influence, a strategy that has so far proved successful. Reports also indicate a newly established foothold in the Greater Los Angeles area, competing with Aspari South Central for consumer power base.
Tao suffered a great strategical loss when famed researcher and Nobel Prize laureate Paul Vissick, the biotech engineer and founder of Novo International, died during a terrorist attack at Hvild Conference Center in Reykjavik 2069.
Many market analysts regard the Tao as a "sleeping dragon" that has yet to wake up and reach its full potential, an image Tao PR executives have been keen to foster.

My analysis of the evidence postulated by Prof Maaler (Maaler-Schwarz Institute) and Dr. Seeward in their C3 lectures confirms my own thesis. The neural "ReGrowth" interface, allows for evolutionary sequencing when combined with the feedback loops of DNA computation.
After some debate, Dr. Vissick confirmed that he had seem similar results in his cellular mutation simulations. The implication of this new, possible future of chip-enhancement is a discovery which will never be supported by our employers.
The only way of knowing the potential is to research its effect on an advanced bio-network. By linking together the core patterns of 311.2 90i and 5sg51 chipsets and evaluating the evolutionary sequences of all participants, we can reach a collective answer.

Has become a general term for the colossal skyscrapers that dominate the center of nearly every major city in the world today. Physically removed from the squalor and poverty below, everyone here is a consumer. New technologies and construction techniques have allowed these buildings to reach unprecedented heights, and they now stand as powerful symbols of the new world order that the Syndicates represent. The EuroCorp Manhattan Complex in New York, the United Commerce Tower in Sao Paulo and the Third Celestial Emperor in Chongqing are just a few examples of these engineering marvels.
Consumer Migration: When these new vertical cities emerged from the crime-ridden ruins of the old, everyone who had the means moved upwards in a massive diaspora known as the Skyward Migration.
Consumer CHIP: All Uptown residents have a Syndicate-manufactured CHIP installed in their brains. In today's chipped society, even basic tasks such as paying your bar tab or unlocking your car would be virtually impossible without one, which defines the segregation between Uptown and Downzone residents (see separate entry).

His mentor, and friend, is Agent Merit. His role is a significant one for EuroCorp in the corporate wars and has been chosen for trial runs on the DART 6 chip while under supervision of Lily Drawl.
Gender: Male Age: 27 (19, Cell Growth Acceleration) Position: Agent, New York Office Affiliation: EuroCorp Clearance: Grade 13, Black Stripe
Kilo is a product of the AOP initiative put in place by EC New York's research wing in the late forties. His parents were eliminated when he reached the practice-mandatory eighteen-month age limen and he was recovered intact. Home environment to that date was loving and stable, data-mining research indicated high levels of intelligence, physical resilience and drive in low social status parents, making the child an ideal candidate for Favoured Son.
Kilo was indentured at the EC Manhattan crèche in 2052 and subjected to standard protocol AOP treatment and DART 4.7 chip installation before entering Agent training 2054.
Preliminary ops 2061 - 63; New York, Chicago, Mexico City.
Subsequent operations; Mexico City, Miami, New York, seconded to Rapid Deployment Force 2067 Jakarta, Singapore, Western Australia.
Enrolled into Black Stripe program in 2068 for prototype research.
Kilo shows a resilience and flexibility of mind often found lacking in other Agents. This trait renders him somewhat unpredictable in loyalty terms, but suits him well for experimental duty. Suggest immediate secondment to the DART6 trials program, under Dr. Lilian Drawl.

Gender: Male Age: 31 (28 CGA) Position: Senior Agent, New York Office Affiliation: EuroCorp Clearance: Grade 16 Merit was recovered from the Jersey Downzone in 2046 via standard channels; at an estimated five and a half years old, he was already substantially older than most adoptees, and his life on the streets rendered him almost totally feral. Merit was initialized at nine years, three months of age - then a record for EC Agent induction.
Psychopathic deviations seemed to feed well into the basic training, making him highly competitive and intensely task focused; he was rapidly elevated to the Advanced Agent Training crèche in Geneva as a result. Field trials at age fourteen - London and Budapest - confirmed him as well ahead of the psychopathy/competence curve necessary for successful Agent status.
Preliminary Ops 2053 - 57; Helsinki, St. Petersburg, Moscow, Kiev.
Full Agent status conferred 2057.
Subsequently distinguished himself as part of the EC Rapid Deployment Force, operating in arenas as fas afield as Osaka (2059), Kuala Lampur (2061) and Melbourne (2063); became something of an expert in operations against Aspari targets as a result.
Seconded to New York 2065 with special remit for anti-Aspari insurgency and strategic terrorism.
Black Three Clearance, attached to New York Executive Command, reporting directly to the Director of Operations Jack Denham.
No fixed duties, roving remit.
Merit's enduring diamond-focus psychopathic tendencies and childhood lack of a father figure, have engendered a close bond with the director Denham. careful tending of this bond should yield a samurai-like willingness to obey without question and regardless of outcome; put simply, Merit will already cheerfully kill men, women or children on Denham's order; with a little extra psychological management, he should be prepared equally cheerfully to die for him.

Breaching is the action of hacking a target chip; exchanging data or violating core functionality. This includes breaking down environment systems, but also using firmware Applications to override chip-based gear (weapons/grenades/armor), and planting malicious firmware inside a chipped target's brain.
It is possible to attempt a Breach Spike on targets. Successful Breach Spikes will complete the breach and cause you to gain energy to power your chip applications.
Breaching grenades is significantly faster than most other breaches. Due to the threat to an Agent posed by grenades, DART prioritizes the targeting of grenades over all other breach targets.
Breaching the SEEF-2 Fragmentation Grenade involves a hard reset of the SEES (Signature Encounter Extension System), rendering the grenade inert but usable. The now disarmed grenade can be picked up and used again.
The electronics in the EDF40 EMP grenade are significantly more delicate. Breaching this type of grenade unfortunately renders it completely useless.
The chips of all Syndicate Agents provide them with the ability to breach active grenades. Due to the standardization of the grenade use across the world in both Syndicate and military circles, the breaching of grenades has been refined and augmented until it is almost automatic.

UAV Drones are enemies in Syndicate, manufactured by all major Syndicates. They carry a variety of liquid amor protection that makes them resistant to most projectile fire, unless breached.
They are unmanned aerial vehicles that can only be taken down by direct fire, after taking down their shields.
ariety of liquid armor protection makes the UAV resistant to most projectile fire.
Breaching will short out regulatory systems and trigger catastrophic crystalization of the liquid armor, making the UAV vulnerable to conventional projectile fire.
Developed by most of the major Syndicates, but with negligible performance differences between the various models, UAVs are controlled by advanced AIs operating with high levels of autonomy. UAVs are able to be deployed in a wide variety of scenarios, from standard security protocols to riot suppression.
Most combat models have a pair-bond interface, allowing them to communicate and be controlled by a chipped human.

Absorbs solid-type projectiles in the 5 to 105 mm range. Breaching not available. Disrupt carrier using Backfire App will temporarily turn off the field generator.
In 2066, NRT Systems, a EuroCorp subsidary, constructed an advanced riot shield based on the stolen DefenGel® tech from Vanadium Tech Solutions. It was designed specifically to counter the growing threat of Agent operations.
Unlike the field generators used in the Cayman Global liquid armor, which are susceptible to the breaching capabilities of Agents, a significantly more powerful field generator was fitted to the liquid shield. With no network connections and only an analogue on/off switch, this field projector cannot be breached.
Without the need for a flexible suit of armor, a significantly thicker barrier of of DefenGel® could be constructed, which was able to stop penetration from all projectiles up to 105 mm tank rounds. The explosive concussion from the tank round still killed the shield's carrier, but the liquid shield remained intact. The test was considered an outstanding success by EuroCorp R&D.
The powerful field generator is used to not only keep the DefenGel® electrostatically stabilized but also to generate a mild kinetic dampener, which makes charging into the shield ineffective.

Police authorities across the globe used to protect and serve. They used to be the long arm of the law, enforcing the regulations of whichever government they called their own. Not so anymore.
Even if the ideal of the tall uniformed law-abiding police officer still exists, most make too little money from their government paychecks and sign up for one of the more powerful Syndicates in their area simply to pay the rent.
The result is that crime prevention is limited to areas outside the specific Syndicate's sphere of interest, but also that the Police has access to heavier weapons and better equipment than ever before.
Another effect is that more and more democratic demonstrations are dispersed violently, sometimes fatally. Riot shields and chip-disabling weapons serve both to quell such demonstrations and to deter enemy Agents.
After all, what better defense than the neutral uniform patrolling the beat, zapping your chip with a Riotlance when you least expect it?
In some areas, it's gone so far that some police officers are caught up in bribery auctions, accepting money under every conceivable table and from every Syndicate in the vicinity.

Micro-detonator cells counter most known projectiles and explosives.
Breaching will short out a counterblast governor, disabling the current layer.

Originally developed for tanks, Vanadium Tech's Reactive Armoring provides a patented counterblast system capable of repelling both solid type and explosive projectiles in the 8 to 27 mm range, with partial protection also afforded against higher calibers, tunnelling rounds and localized high-yield fragmentation devices.
Internal compressors and an Antishock system, allow for heavy armaments and protection from external non-projectile forces.

Enough physical damage to the conductive plates will remove its capacitive abilities, rendering it useless. Backup conductive plates will take over if primary system is destroyed.
Deadly capacitive discharge occurs when armor is destroyed.
Developed in 2067 by NRT Systems AG, a subsidiary of EuroCorp. To limit the chance of this design falling into the hands of other Syndicates, deployment has been limited to executive bodyguard service and defensive actions on EuroCorp territory.
Offensive deployment into enemy Syndicate territory requires director-level signoff from Geneva.
A suit of electromagnetic reactive armor protects its wearer by having overlapping conductive plates that act as powerful capacitors. These capacitors dump a high amount of energy into the penetrating projectile, turning it into a plasma and negating the attack. An advanced ceramic mesh dissipates thermal attacks.
A massive electrical charge runs through the armor, normally safely stored in the conductive plates. If the armor sustains heavy damage, its storage ability becomes highly unstable, and the remaining charge will be dumped, generating fatal electric arcs.

Absorbs solid-type projectiles in the 5 to 15 mm range.
Breaching will short out regulatory systems, making armor vulnerable by crystallizing the polymer layer.
Enough physical damage in crystalline state will shatter the polymer surface, rendering the armor useless.
Developed in 2064 by Vanadium Tech Solutions, a subsidiary to Cayman Global. The armor was battle-proven during the Arica Cleansing, when oil-rig workers were caught behind enemy lines as the Russian-based Pravitel Syndicate Initiated a hostile takeover of the Chilean coast.
A suit of liquid armor protects its wearer from most forms of attack through a layer of DefenGel® cells, a special dilatant polymer gel that hardens immediately when impacted with sufficient force. Worn below is a special kevlar-ceramic weave that helps dissipate heat and residual force.
The DefenGel® polymer gel is encapsulated in a multitude of small, overlapping cells. This point-defense nature allows the immediate hardening of the gel to occur without any loss of mobility on the part of the wearer. A small field generator keeps the gel electrostatically stabilized, without which they would immediately crystallize.

The EuroCorp Manhattan Complex, commonly referred to as the EuroCorp Spire, is perhaps the most dominant feature in the skyline of modern New York. Standing 830 meters above sea level it is described by Cybertecture Today magazine as the most intelligent building in mainland America, the third most intelligent on planet Earth.
Built to celebrate the passing of the Syndicate Liberalisation Act in 2039, its AI system and self-regulating datacores went live on July 4th, 2041. The Spire is the nerve center of EuroCorp operations in the Americas market, governing all dataflow within that space and meshing directly with EuroCorp Geneva for strategic global context.
In compliance with EuroCorp operational protocols, the building operates a full executive segregation barrier at floor 47. Levels below the demarcation are home to the prestigious Consumer Product Research wing and provide office and work space for 3,327 employees. Upper levels, beyond the barrier, house classified research and development for military and security contracts, an access hangar and landing platform, and the executive command suite. The upper level floors house 518 employees, with a dedicated command suite staff of 27.
All Agent operations are handled from the command suite, with direct access through the human resources bio-engineering shaft, co-ordinated via the datacores and strategic AI governor. All Spire defences are military grade.

In reference to its popularity, an independent survey stated that the APP-3 handguns were used in more than 47 percent of urban shooting in America, 2065.
The secondary fire burst mode allows an even greater rate of fire, although with its limited recoil dampening, the APP-3 suffers from significant climb when fired this way.
Components
Magazine Extension: In the mid-2030s, clip size restrictions were abandoned in North American legislation and weapons manufacturers were quick to respond. Takashi Defense Systems released the A3E magazine, extending the clip by 8 rounds. This is the next generation of the A3, without the jamming tendencies and with the same sense of reliability as the core product. Research Energy 5000 Gyrostabilized Compensator: Ensures aim stability and minimizes scatter by compensating gas pressure and actively redirecting the barrel inside a gyrostabilized hardcase. some users have reported that it feels like the gun has a life of its own as you fire, explaining the technology's 'ghost aim' marketing moniker. Research Energy 5000 APP-3S: When EuroCorp developed an interest in the lightweight APP-3, they wanted a special variation of the standard weapon. Selective fire was Takashi's response, with the regular semi-automatic and an additional semi-automatic three-shot burst mode that provides a lot more power when used in close quarters. Research Energy 5000 .45 HSC Ammo: The first invention of munitions with a weighted core were designed to pierce armor. But for handgun variations, a side-effect of the Takashi HSC (High Splintering Core) rounds was impact splintering that caused internal bleeding. A much-protested human rights violation, but a welcome boost of stopping power for armed security personnel. Research Energy 7500 - #45Razorback M786

Licensed production in North America and Europe since 2049, with extensive field testing during the New York food riots of 2052.
With a reliable construction and handling, this sidearm was the #3 preferred weapon for home owners and sports enthusiasts along the North American east coast, up until it was decommissioned in 2058. Due to its wide use, the .44 bullets are still in high circulation among consumers.
Modified Razorback models have recently appeared on black markets in the Downzone areas of New York, Baltimore and Chicago.
Components
SP99 Ammo: Saxe-Deimling's soft-point 99 cartridges are semi-jacketed lead rounds that expand into soft tissue, such as flesh. Jokingly referred to as 'Failsafes', the first 99 prototypes had a high ratio of barrel explosions. However, the latest incarnation has become one of the most extensively used .44-caliber round on the market, with a truly devastating explosive power that may even make otherwise minor wounds lethal. Research Energy 5000 Titanium Hammer Assembly: A custom made hammer assembly, originally created by gun enthusiasts and sold on the black market. It was quickly picked up and modified by Saxe-Deimling and is now sold separately as an expensive weapon upgrade. The smoother and more lightweight assembly increases the rate of fire of the gun. Research Energy 5000 KERB Munitions: The KERB (Kinetic Energy Release Blast) system coats the chosen ammunition with microscopic capacitors. These capacitors store kinetic energy as the bullet is in motion, releasing that energy on impact. The result is a short but powerful electric blast, pushing the target back. The Bullhammer is a six-shot double-action revolver, primarily marketed towards law enforcement agencies and private security forces in need of extreme stopping power. Chambered for the powerful .600 cartridge, the Bullhammer packs quite a punch, but comes with quite a kick as well. Even if it's fairly popular, it's been Accelle-Sys' only foray into revolver design.
Components
Magnetic Acceleration Rail: The MAR requires specifically coated rounds that are still quite expensive, but accelerates these .600 FMJ (full metal jacket) bullets to speeds rivalling high velocity small arm projectiles. Its effect on the impact profile of the Bullhammer is such that it's often mistaken for cannon or explosive blasts in police investigations. Research Energy 5000 Custom Hair Trigger: While being widely available, this upgrade was never commissioned by Accelle-SYS. It first surfaced on the black market of downzone and due to the high rate of accidental discharges, the gun manufacturer strongly discourages its use. With this upgrade the Bullhammer certainly feels a lot more powerful. Research Energy 5000 KERB Munitions: The KERB (Kinetic Energy Release Blast?) system coats the chosen ammunition with microscopic capacitors. These capacitors store kinetic energy as the bullet is in motion, releasing that energy on impact. The result is a short but powerful electric blast, pushing the target back. Research Energy 5000 Red-Dot Sight: Even if it may seem natural for a short-range weapon to come equipped with proper sights, the Bullhammer has been an exception. Scientists have now redeveloped the weapon's elevation and added a proper sight mount, allowing use of real Accelle-SYS red-dot sights. Research Energy 7500 - #47TAR-39

Developed by Aser-Tellinger and I.I.A in 2049, the TAR-15 became an instant sales hit. After its extensive use by EuroCorp forces during the New York riots in 2052, the weapons was exported under license to several manufacturers world-wide, among them EuroCorp-controlled Accelle-Sys.
Under license, Accelle-Sys designed a more robust model, releasing the new TAR-39 on the market in 2055.
The TAR-39 is a versatile short-range tactical assault rifle used globally by a wide range of Syndicate security forces. It was designed for close quarter combat scenarios and fires .45 caliber light armor-piercing rounds.
The TAR-39 standard model comes equipped with a 1x/2.5x red dot digital rangefinder scope with a built-in DPSS laser sight, and can carry an underbarrel grenade launcher attachment.
The characteristic sound of a TAR-39 firing on full auto is sometimes known as the "EuroCorp Anthem", as it is employed by most armed personnel of that Syndicate.
Components
Discrete Trigger Override: Pulling the trigger is an art form. Whether you should squeeze or pull, hold your breath or just press and pray. The discrete trigger override is a digital chip-driven mechanism that allows the weapon to compensate intelligently for the stress and skill of whoever is using the TAR-39, significantly reducing scatter by adjusting the millisecond timing of each shot. Research Energy 7500 Electronic Ammo Feed: an electronic ammo feed replaces the mechanical spring-operated magazine with one that utilizes electronic micromotors. This frees up enough space to increase the magazine's capacity by 10 rounds, allowing the user to keep firing. Research Energy 10000 TAR-39 Red-Dot Sight: The TAR is not originally fitted for any scope, relying primarily on its iron sights, but by constructing and deploying a new frame, it can be used with a 1x/2.5x red dot digital rangefinder scope carrying a built-in DPSS laser sight. Research Energy 10000 FSS Ammo: Replacing the standard-issue .45 with fin-stabilized steel rounds carried in spindle sabots, the power of the TAR-39 is greatly increased. Borrowing its concept from modern caseless munitions, the replacement of a regular lead projectile with a thin steel projectile causes a much higher degree of internal bleeding, why this ammo is often nick-named "Leeches" or "Suckers". Research Energy 15000 G40 Grenade Launcher: For some additional firepower in tight situations, a muzzle-loaded 40mm under-barrel grenade launcher has been fitted to the TAR-39. Its first conception was for EuroCorp personnel facing Cayman Global security officers that could pick off the close-combat aligned EuroCorp officers from a distance. These grenades allow the TAR-39 to clear out suspected sniper nests. Research Energy 25000 - #48UMK Mark IV

When it was released in 2021 by independent weapon manufacturer Deimling Industrien, the first UMK model was marketed as a personal defence weapon.
In 2032, only months after the Johannesburg assassination of President Hector Van Niekerk, changes in export/import laws facilitated a merger with Saxe SIT, creating the international weapon manufacturer Saxe-Deimling.
Production during 2033 introduced a revolutionary muzzle-climb compensation technology, increasing the UMK's popularity within elite military and Syndicate assault forces.
The standard UMK-Mark IV model is an open bolt blowback-operated sub-machine gun that fires .223 caliber SDE ammunition.
The UMK is the more prominent sub-machine gun on the Downzone black market and alleged campaigns to stop its rapid spread are often mocked as some of the most obvious political stunts in the corporate sphere.
Components
UMK Schalldämfer: Using data from soldiers in the field, Saxe-Deimling have introduced the Schalldämfer (German for silencer). By combining reactive coolant and utilizing the principles of destructive interference, it makes the UMK one of the very few weapons to boast complete inaudibility above 12 to 15 yards from a discharged weapon. Research Energy 5000 Muzzle-climb Reduction: The advanced muzzle climb reduction system compensates for the UMK's high rate of fire and makes it a lot more accurate without any noticeable effect on handling. It repurposes the 'Hoodlum's Spraycan' into a weapon perfectly suited for elite military and Syndicate assault forces. Research Energy 7500 Barrel Rebore: Because of the UMK's compact build and high material quality, scientists realized that the barrel could be rerifled to accommodate a larger caliber. The difference in weight is minimal, but the gain in stopping power is considerable. Research Energy 7500 Grip Extension: The idea of a magazine extension is self-explanatory, but the 2h grip extension is more than just a bigger magazine. It's constructed in such a way that parts of it fold into the main handle, allowing a more comfortable and steadier two-handed grip. Magazine capacity is increased by 20 rounds. Research Energy 10000 Red-Dot Sight: The addition of the red-dot sight to this gun has made it more efficient in mid-range combat situations. The sight makes the acquisition of targets easier and faster, extending the useful range of the weapon considerably. Research Energy 10000 - #49EMW-56

The EMW-56 (or Gauss Gun) is a fully automatic, lock-on gauss rifle developed by Mao-Murdoch Ltd
The Mao-Murdoch EMW-56 Gauss Carbine (electromagnetic weapon) is a fully automatic portable delivery system for Mao Industries' patented 5.4x56mm PP-X programmable projectile range.
Initial development and production is conducted in the Zürich facilities, but the model's need for extensive trace calibration requires Mao-Murdoch engineers to be on site during implementation. These contractors are embedded with the R&D and development departments for each individual client Syndicate.
Initial targeting feeds a coded seek protocol into each PP-X shell on firing, until the deemed target is registered by the carbine's processor as neutralized, or the weapon clip fires empty. The EMW-56 features a one-touch visual lock for run-and-gun glimpse targeting, and a variable capacity receiver to accommodate Mao's full range of jacketed, armor piercing, explosive or incendiary modes.
The EMW-56 is by far the lightest electromagnetic assault weapon on the market today.
Components
KERB Munitions: The KERB (Kinetic Energy Release Blast) system coats the chosen ammunition with microscopic capacitors. These capacitors store kinetic energy as the bullet is in motion, releasing that energy on impact. The result is a short but powerful electric blast, pushing the target back. 10000 Research Energy Munitions Miniaturization: Minimizing the size of the discarding sabots for the smart bullets, it's possible to store more ammo in a magazine. The magazines are also lighter, allowing Gauss gun marksmen to carry more ammunition than their equivalents in opposing Syndicates. 15000 Research Energy DMD System: Deferred Munitions Detonation is the simple concept of waiting to explode the internal explosives until after penetration has occurred. As systems go, this is a small change to the computer software of the EMW-56, but the fine-tuning and balancing has been a real challenge for scientists. 20000 Research Energy - #50Kusanagi ACR-10

The Kusanagi ACR-10 is an assault rifle developed by Takashi Defense Systems featured in Syndicate. It features an overpressurized hyper-velocity firing system capable of breaking through low grade covers.
As a note, the ACR-10 and Kusanagi HSR-6 rifles share a body style. On the ACR, the main scope is the CIAT, and on the HSR-6, the assault sight secondary fire is the ACR's offset red-dot sight.
For over a century, the ACR-10 has serviced elite combat units in warzones across the world. Recently, it has become a standard issue combat rifle within elite Syndicate assault units thanks to its versatility and its unique penetration capabilities. The Kusanagi ACR-10 is a mid to long-range gas-operated assault rifle that feeds from a 24-round magazine.
In 2063, licensed production was granted for Cayman Global by the Takashi Advisory Board, to counter Aspari's growing influence in the Mexican Gulf. The rifle has therefore now become a standard issue rifle within Cayman Global elite assault units.
In 2067, four more Syndicates were granted production rights. Due to its versatility, availability and its unique penetration capabilities, the Kusanagi ACR-10 is now widely used in Syndicate elite forces.
The Kusanagi ACR-10 is a mid to long-range gas-operated assault rifle that uses the revolutionary Overpressurized Hyper-velocity Firing System to allow the operator to shoot through ordinarily impenetrable materiel.
Components
Digital Recoil Dampener: As the ACR-10 was never originally meant for a high fire rate, effective recoil reduction is almost a must. The digital recoil dampener uses an electronic motor to compensate for the weapons insufficient disposal of gas pressure. It has the increased advantage of a more comfortable grip, because of a refitted hand guard. (reduces the recoil) Research Energy 7500 Magazine Extension: A Cayman Global study says that Syndicate field agents are 36 percent more likely to become casualties while reloading. By extending the regular ACR-10 magazine by 8 rounds, this simple elongation of the standard issue magazine therefore improves the combat sustainability of the individual agent. (increases the mag size by 8 rounds) Research Energy 10000 Compressed Air Reload: The CAR system utilizes a small compressed air canister system. After firing a round, the expanded gas is supported by a small burst of the compressed air, resulting in smoother and faster injection of the next cartridge. (increases fire rate for the scoped secondary fire mode) Research Energy 10000 Hyper Velocity System: Sometimes you need even more firepower than the default ACR-10 can offer. An overpressurized hyper-velocity system utilizes the energy of the propellant gases of each bullet so that the velocity is dramatically increased for subsequent rounds. This makes the weapon all the more lethal (increases damage) Research Energy 15000 Chip-Integrated Advanced Targeting (CIAT) Scope: The chip-integrated advanced targeting scope is more than just a scope. It allows the weapon and its operator to feed target information into a central computer, allowing a CIAT-equipped ACR-10 to function as spotter and target designator in addition to fire support. It also transforms a perfectly capable assault rifle into a mid-range sniper rifle. Research Energy 20000 MPB Munitions: the mercury penetration bullet adds additional penetration and stopping power to this already fierce assault rifle. Filled with a drop of mercury, these bullets will explode on impact. High inertia of the mercury means it will continue to penetrate into the soft tissue causing devastating wounds. (increases bullet penetration) Research Energy 25000
