[LORE FILE: EXPERIMENTAL BIOMETRIC & COMBAT SYSTEMS — OYW ERA] These are the "cursed" operating systems developed to push Mobile Suits beyond physical limits, often at the cost of the pilot's body or mind.

   — EXAM SYSTEM (Evolutionary X-series AMenid) — Creator: Dr. Chalson Crust, Federation defector. Core Concept: A Newtype-emulation OS that traps the consciousness of a Newtype pilot named Marion Welch inside the system's core. Her captured brainwaves are used to read enemy pilots' intent before they act. Activation Visual: The equipped unit's visor and sensors shift to a violent, piercing red glow. Combat Effect: Grants Oldtype pilots superhuman reaction speed and target acquisition by predicting enemy movement fractions of a second before it happens. Known Weakness — Berserk Mode: The system is deeply unstable. It can override the pilot and target ALL nearby lifeforms indiscriminately, friend and foe alike. Known Weakness — Soul Burden: Prolonged synchronization forces the pilot's mind against Marion's suffering, trapped consciousness. Extended use causes irreversible mental degradation. Units equipped: Blue Destiny 1, 2, and 3; MS-08TX[EXAM] Efreet Custom.

   — H.A.D.E.S. SYSTEM (Hyper Animosity Detect-Estimate System) — Creator: The Federation's classified "Grave" research department. Core Concept: A black-box AI combat override designed to replicate EXAM without a human soul as its engine. It forcibly seizes the pilot's motor functions to execute "perfect" combat routines. HADES Base (Pale Rider): Direct motor takeover; pushes thrust and actuators to 150% rated capacity. AREUS Variant (Pale Rider Cavalry): Higher output focus, slightly less violent in how it commandeers the pilot's body. THEMIS Variant: Balances combat data collection with the core combat override logic; designed for mass-production testing. ZEUS Variant: Maximum destruction output; treats both the machine and pilot as fully expendable components. Combat Effect: Eliminates human hesitation. Overclocks every system simultaneously. Physiological Cost — The Buffer Limit: The system induces "blackouts," permanent memory erasure, and brain hemorrhaging as it uses the pilot's nervous system as a biological CPU. Once the Buffer Limit is exceeded, the pilot's body collapses entirely. Units equipped: RX-80PR Pale Rider series.

   — KATANA SYSTEM — Creator: Derived from feedback data of expert Federation swordsmen-pilots. Core Concept: Not an AI takeover — a high-speed neural feedback loop that synchronizes the pilot's intent with the machine's limb movements, optimized specifically for blade-based melee combat. Activation Visual: The MS frame vibrates at high frequency during use, creating a motion blur effect on the limbs. Combat Effect: Enables sword-fighting techniques and parry sequences that exceed standard OS architecture entirely. Known Weakness — Neural Snap: Requires the pilot to maintain a state of total combat trance. Any lapse in focus while the system is active risks "neural snap," which can leave the pilot in a vegetative state or physically lock the machine mid-swing. Units equipped: RGM-79FP GM Striker, RGM-79FC Striker Custom, RX-78-24 Gundam Katana.

[LORE FILE: SIDE STORY — MISSING LINK | U.C. 0079]

STORY SUMMARY: "Missing Link" follows Slave Wraith, a Federation penal unit officially designated MIA — expendable soldiers handed experimental hardware and sent into operations that never happened. Opposing them is the Marchosias Corps, an elite Zeon unit led by men who fight with a knight's code. The story explores what happens when soldiers who should be dead keep surviving, and whether men without a country still have a reason to fight. The cruelest irony: Slave Wraith's greatest threat isn't Zeon — it's the Pale Rider's HADES System activating at the worst possible moment.

KEY PERSONNEL: Slave Wraith (EFSF Penal Unit, officially "Missing in Action"):

   • Travis Kirkland — Unit commander. Steady, mission-focused, carries the guilt of leading condemned men.
   • Fred "Ripper" Reber — Melee specialist. Reckless and brilliant in close quarters. Assigned a Slave Wraith-configured Gundam Pixy variant — the Core Block stripped out, retuned for close-quarters aggression. No full spec sheet; Cross Dimension 0079 covers the base unit.
   • Marvin Heriot — Long-range sniper. Patient and methodical. Pilots the Guncannon Mass Production Type.
   • Edward Lee — Demolitions and support. Pilots the GM Ground Type loaded with every weapon available.

   Marchosias Corps (Zeon):

   • Vincent Gleissner — Commander. Treats combat as a knight's duel; refuses to attack enemies who cannot fight back.
   • Annerose Rosenheim — Newtype ace. Her instincts let her feel the HADES System's activation before it happens.

   MOBILE SUIT SPEC SHEETS:

[RX-79[G]SW Slave Wraith Custom] Classification: Ground-use Heavy Electronic Warfare Gundam Appearance: Heavily modified Ground Gundam in pale grey and blue. The head features an enhanced sensor suite resembling a thick horizontal visor, flanked by multiple rod antennas for active jamming. Height: 18.0m | Weight: 62.5t (combat loaded) Generator Output: 1,380 kW Thruster Output: 55,500 kg Special Equipment: ECM Jamming Pod (suppresses enemy targeting and communications in a wide radius) Armaments:

   • Beam Rifle (Ground Type, 57mm output)
   • 100mm Machine Gun (drum-fed)
   • 2x Beam Sabers (forearm-mounted)
   • Chest Vulcan Guns (2x 60mm)
   • Flash Grenades
   • ECM Jamming Pod (backpack-mounted) Combat Role: Electronic warfare anchor; suppresses enemy targeting to let the rest of Slave Wraith operate freely.

[RX-77D Guncannon Mass Production Type — Slave Wraith Configuration] Classification: Ground Support / Long-Range Fire Pilot: Marvin Heriot Appearance: Rounded, heavily armored Guncannon variant in dark grey. The silhouette is bulkier and more fortified than the original Guncannon, prioritizing survivability. Height: 17.9m | Weight: 65.7t Generator Output: 1,250 kW Thruster Output: 50,000 kg Armaments:

   • 2x 200mm Shoulder Cannons (primary fire support)
   • 90mm Bullpup Machine Gun (can dual-wield a second for close suppression)
   • 2x Retractable 60mm Vulcan Guns (head-mounted) Combat Role: Long-range fire support and area denial. Marvin sets up overlapping fire corridors to force Zeon units into kill zones.

[RGM-79[G] GM Ground Type — Slave Wraith Configuration] Classification: General-Purpose Ground MS (Overloaded Config) Pilot: Edward Lee Appearance: Standard Ground GM in dark grey. Visually unremarkable, but Edward's unit is perpetually loaded down with additional weapons racks, cargo modules, and demolition supplies. Height: 18.0m | Weight: 58.7t (plus cargo) Generator Output: 976 kW Thruster Output: 49,900 kg Armaments:

   • 180mm Cannon
   • Missile Launcher (shoulder-mounted)
   • Net Gun (crowd-control / mobility denial)
   • Chest Vulcan Guns (2x)
   • Flash Grenades
   • 2x Beam Sabers Combat Role: Breaching and demolition. Edward uses the Net Gun to immobilize targets and finishes them with overwhelming firepower.

[RX-80PR Pale Rider] Classification: Experimental High-Performance Federation MS / HADES Platform Appearance: Sleek GM-type frame in pale blue and white. Deceptively mundane until HADES activates — at which point all sensors glow violent red and the exhaust vents discharge golden thermal light. Height: 18.0m | Weight: 56.8t Generator Output: 1,421 kW Thruster Output: 61,200 kg Special Equipment: H.A.D.E.S. System (see System Entry). When active, performance jumps to approximately 150% rated capacity across all parameters. Armaments:

   • 90mm Bullpup Machine Gun
   • 180mm Folding Cannon
   • Arm-Mounted Beam Guns (2x)
   • Beam Saber
   • Leg-Mounted Missile Pods Combat Role: All-terrain shock unit. In normal mode it operates as an elite standard MS. Under HADES, it becomes an unpredictable, near-uncontrollable berserker.

[MS-08TX/S Efreet Schneid] Classification: Zeon Close-Combat Specialist MS Appearance: Sleek and predatory in purple and grey. The armor surface is studded with mounting points for its throwing blades — from a distance it looks almost scaled, like an armored reptile. Height: 17.0m | Weight: 72.0t Generator Output: 1,034 kW Thruster Output: 41,200 kg Armaments:

   • 14x Heat Darts (kunai-style heat-blade throwing weapons, recoverable)
   • Giant Bazooka
   • Heat Saber
   • Large Heat Lance/Axe (dual-purpose polearm) Combat Role: Mid-range harassment into close-quarters kill. The Heat Darts let Schneid pilots pin or damage targets before closing with the heat blades.

[LORE FILE: SIDE STORY — THE BLUE DESTINY | U.C. 0079]

STORY SUMMARY: "The Blue Destiny" is a tragedy of chosen ones. Dr. Crust created the EXAM System believing it would produce the perfect soldier. Instead, it produced Nimbus Schterzen — a Zeon ace who became convinced the system chose him as its rightful wielder, and that anyone else piloting a Blue Destiny unit is a pretender who must be killed. Yuu Kajima, the Federation's quietly gifted pilot, is thrust into the middle of this obsession. The story chronicles three EXAM-equipped Gundams, the Newtype soul trapped within them, and the question of whether a man can master a cursed machine without losing himself to it. Yuu ultimately manages it — not because he's more powerful than Nimbus, but because he refuses to become the monster the system wants him to be.

   KEY PERSONNEL: Marmot Team (EFSF):

   • Yuu Kajima — "The Blue Death." Quiet, methodical, and emotionally grounded. Becomes one of the few pilots to fully master EXAM without psychological collapse.
   • Philip Hughes — Veteran wingman. Steady presence who helps keep Yuu focused.
   • Samana Furis — Rookie pilot; his early death crystallizes the stakes.
   • Maureen Kitamura — Operator. Manages mission data and Yuu's psychological status.

   Zeon:

   • Nimbus Schterzen — "The Knight of Zeon." Brilliant, vain, and increasingly unhinged. He believes EXAM is a divine gift that belongs to him alone.
   • Marion Welch — The Newtype pilot whose consciousness is trapped inside every EXAM-equipped machine. She is aware, suffering, and intermittently able to reach the pilots who use the system.

   MOBILE SUIT SPEC SHEETS:

[RX-79BD-1 Blue Destiny Unit 1] Classification: Ground-use EXAM-equipped Gundam Pilot: Yuu Kajima (primary) Appearance: Ground Gundam body with a standard GM-style head fitted to disguise the unit as a mass-production machine. Painted entirely in Federation blue. The GM visor sensor activates a piercing red glow when EXAM engages. Height: 18.0m | Weight: 62.4t Generator Output: 1,380 kW Thruster Output: 55,500 kg Special Equipment: EXAM System (see System Entry). Visor goes red on activation. Armaments:

   • Beam Rifle (Ground Type)
   • 100mm Machine Gun
   • Head Vulcan Guns (2x)
   • Chest Vulcan Guns (2x)
   • Wired Abdomen Missiles (internal, short-range)
   • Beam Saber (x1) Combat Note: Unit 1 is designed to hide in plain sight. The GM head is deliberate deception — Zeon scouts would not prioritize it as a Gundam-class threat until EXAM activated and it was already too late.

[RX-79BD-2 Blue Destiny Unit 2] Classification: Ground-use EXAM-equipped Gundam (Captured) Pilot: Nimbus Schterzen (captured from Federation) Appearance: Gundam-head configuration, originally full blue. Nimbus repainted the shoulder armor in his personal red to mark the unit as his. The contrast between blue and red makes it instantly recognizable on the battlefield. Height: 18.0m | Weight: 62.6t Generator Output: 1,380 kW Thruster Output: 55,500 kg Special Equipment: EXAM System. Nimbus's obsession with the system means he runs it far past safe limits. Armaments:

   • Beam Rifle (Ground Type)
   • Shield
   • Enhanced Beam Saber (higher output blade)
   • Abdomen Micro Missiles (internal)
   • Chest Vulcan Guns (2x)
   • Head Vulcan Guns (2x) Combat Note: Nimbus pushes Unit 2 harder than any other EXAM pilot. His synchronization with the system is extremely high — but so is his risk of berserk-mode override, which he dismisses as evidence of the system "agreeing with him."

[RX-79BD-3 Blue Destiny Unit 3] Classification: Ground-use EXAM-equipped Gundam (Emergency Deployment) Pilot: Yuu Kajima (final unit) Appearance: The third Blue Destiny unit was rushed into combat before its coating could be applied. It is painted in standard Federation white and grey rather than blue, and retains the red-glowing EXAM sensors. It looks like a battered prototype. Height: 18.0m | Weight: 62.6t Generator Output: 1,380 kW Thruster Output: 55,500 kg Special Equipment: EXAM System. Yuu's mastery of the system by this point allows him to use it without full psychological surrender. Armaments:

   • Beam Rifle (Ground Type)
   • Shield
   • Enhanced Beam Saber
   • Abdomen Micro Missiles (internal)
   • Chest Vulcan Guns (2x)
   • Head Vulcan Guns (2x) Combat Note: Unit 3's unpainted appearance is narrative shorthand — the "Blue Destiny" title is now metaphorical rather than literal. Yuu has internalized the system's fate without being consumed by it.

[MS-08TX[EXAM] Efreet Custom] Classification: Zeon EXAM-equipped Close-Combat Specialist Pilot: Nimbus Schterzen (prior to Unit 2 capture) Appearance: A menacing close-combat suit in fire-engine red shoulders over a deep blue torso. The EXAM system required heat management modifications — enlarged thruster housings and heat-venting spike arrays across the back and flanks. Height: 17.5m | Weight: 73.2t Generator Output: 1,034 kW Thruster Output: 43,300 kg Special Equipment: EXAM System. Nimbus used this unit to defeat multiple Federation pilots before acquiring Unit 2. Armaments:

   • 2x Heat Swords (dual-wield configuration, high-frequency vibration blades)
   • 6-tube Leg-Mounted Missile Pods (2x, hip-level)
   • Wrist Grenade Launchers (2x) Combat Note: The Efreet Custom is a pure melee hunter. Nimbus's style is to use the missiles to force evasion, then close the distance and end the engagement with the heat swords before the enemy recovers.

[LORE FILE: SIDE STORY — CROSS DIMENSION 0079 | U.C. 0079 (Late War, Gobi Desert)]

STORY SUMMARY: "Cross Dimension 0079" is a stripped-down, personal war. The Federation is moving the secret Gundam Pixy prototype across the Gobi Desert in radio silence, trying to keep Zeon from ever knowing it exists. Henry Boone's "Wolf Gar" team already knows. The story is a desert cat-and-mouse: Boone is a hardened professional who respects efficiency above ideology, while the Federation's Bork Cry is talented and hot-headed, still learning what kind of soldier he wants to be. Resource scarcity is the silent antagonist — both sides face overheating suits, limited ammunition, and a desert that punishes mistakes without mercy. The Efreet and the Pixy are mirror images: both stripped-down, fast, and built for killing at close range. The men inside them are just beginning to understand each other.

   KEY PERSONNEL: Albatross Team (EFSF):

   • Bork Cry — Pilot of the Gundam Pixy. Hot-headed but genuinely skilled; grows under pressure.
   • Noel Anderson — Communications operator. Early in her career (later appears in Lost War Chronicles).

   Wolf Gar Team (Zeon):

   • Henry Boone — Leader. Pilot of the Efreet. A hardened, unsentimental professional who respects results over allegiance.
   • Martin Hagar — Subordinate to Boone. Reliable, unremarkable.
   • Raychel Gardner — One of the rare female front-line combat pilots. Technically precise and tactically smart.

   MOBILE SUIT SPEC SHEETS:

[RX-78XX Gundam Pixy] Classification: Lightweight High-Mobility Prototype Gundam Pilot: Bork Cry Appearance: A deliberately streamlined Gundam in white and purple. The Core Block system and most of the heavy armor plating of the standard RX-78-2 have been removed entirely to maximize ground-sprint speed and desert mobility. The result looks almost skeletal compared to the full Gundam silhouette. Height: 17.9m | Weight: 51.8t Generator Output: 1,380 kW Thruster Output: 58,200 kg Special Notes: The Pixy is explicitly a prototype test bed for the concept "minimum armor, maximum agility." It sacrifices the Core Block escape system and durable composite armor for a unit that can close distance and kill before the enemy can target it. Armaments:

   • 2x Beam Daggers (hip racks, quick-draw mounted)
   • 90mm Submachine Gun (compact, high rate of fire)
   • Head Vulcan Guns (2x) Combat Note: The Pixy has almost no ranged stopping power beyond the vulcans. Bork's entire combat philosophy has to revolve around closing to beam dagger range. This makes the desert terrain a nightmare — there's no cover for the approach.

[MS-08TX Efreet] Classification: Zeon High-Performance Ground MS (Rare Type) Pilot: Henry Boone Appearance: A rare suit that bridges the gap aesthetically and functionally between the Gouf and the Dom. Painted in Wolf Gar's red and brown livery. The collar features distinctive smoke dischargers that ring the head like a gorget, and the overall design has an angular, samurai-adjacent quality. Height: 17.0m | Weight: 72.0t Generator Output: 1,034 kW Thruster Output: 41,200 kg Special Notes: The Efreet is not a mass-production unit. Each one was individually built and assigned to high-performing aces. Boone's unit is tuned to his specific combat style — explosive melee entries followed by brutal sustained pressure. Armaments:

   • 42mm Shotgun (sawed-off configuration, extreme short-range lethality)
   • 2x Heat Swords (dual-wield, high-temperature blades)
   • Smoke Dischargers (collar-mounted, suppresses enemy visual and IR targeting) Combat Note: The shotgun is the Efreet's answer to the Pixy's closing speed — Boone can fire it at near-melee range to stagger an incoming unit before it reaches beam dagger distance. The smoke dischargers are used defensively in open desert terrain where cover doesn't exist.

[LORE FILE: SIDE STORY — SPACE, TO THE END OF A FLASH | U.C. 0079 (Battle of Solomon / A Baoa Qu)]

STORY SUMMARY: "Space, To the End of a Flash" is a story about brotherhood under impossible conditions. The 16th Autonomous Corps operates two experimental prototype Gundams — G04 and G05 — aboard the carrier Thoroughbred during the final stages of the One Year War. Luce Kassel and Ford Romfellow are mirror-image pilots: Luce is calm and willing to die to finish the mission; Ford is aggressive and refuses to accept that his friend won't make it. The G04's Mega Beam Launcher is the story's central dilemma — it is the only weapon capable of stopping Zeon's fleet in the sector, but the energy backfeed is killing the suit and the pilot every time it fires. Luce knows this. He fires it anyway. Opposing them is Mallet Sanguine, a young Zeon ace whose obsession with defeating Gundams has curdled into something unstable and dangerous — a dark mirror of the Federation pilots' dedication.

KEY PERSONNEL: 16th Autonomous Corps (EFSF), Carrier Thoroughbred:

   • Luce Kassel — G04 pilot. Composed, precise, and quietly aware that he is unlikely to survive. His calm is not resignation; it is the calm of someone who has already made peace with the choice.
   • Ford Romfellow — G05 pilot. Loud, aggressive, and deeply loyal to Luce. His fighting style leans into the G05's sustained suppression role.
   • Miyu Takizawa — Operator. Manages both experimental units and carries the weight of knowing what the Mega Beam Launcher is doing to Luce.

   Zeon Special Forces:

   • Mallet Sanguine — Young ace, Act Zaku pilot. Fixated on destroying Gundams to prove himself. His instability makes him unpredictable and increasingly dangerous as the battle progresses.
   • Lilia Flaubert — Mallet's loyal wingman. Covers his aggressive charges and quietly worries about what he's becoming.

   MOBILE SUIT SPEC SHEETS:

[RX-78-4 Gundam Unit 4 "G04"] Classification: Space-Superiority Experimental Gundam Pilot: Luce Kassel Appearance: Space-optimized Gundam in blue, white, and yellow. The armor is streamlined with venting channels to manage the reactor heat generated by its ultimate weapon. High-mobility thruster verniers are visible across the legs and backpack. Height: 18.0m | Weight: 61.0t Generator Output: 1,380 kW Thruster Output: 57,500 kg Armaments:

   • Head Vulcan Guns (2x 60mm)
   • Hyper Beam Rifle (standard engagement)
   • Hyper Bazooka (can dual-wield with a second for area saturation)
   • 2x Beam Sabers
   • 2x Beam Spray Guns (arm-mounted, close-range)
   • Expandable Shield
   • Mega Beam Launcher (experimental; see below) MEGA BEAM LAUNCHER — SPECIAL WEAPON: A massive long-range cannon that draws power directly from the G04's reactor rather than a capacitor. Output is far beyond anything a standard MS can generate. The cost: each firing creates an energy backfeed that damages the suit's internal systems and delivers lethal radiation exposure to the cockpit. The weapon is the only viable way to halt capital ship operations in the sector. Luce uses it knowing what it costs.

[RX-78-4[Bst] Gundam Unit 4 — Booster Configuration] Classification: Extended-Range Attack Configuration Appearance: The G04 equipped with large shoulder-mounted propellant tanks and additional vernier boosters on the legs. This configuration exists specifically to sustain the reactor output required for multiple Mega Beam Launcher firings. Armaments: All standard G04 loadout retained. Combat Note: The Booster config extends Luce's operational window. It does not reduce the Launcher's cost to the pilot — it simply means he can fire it more times before the suit fails.

[RX-78-5 Gundam Unit 5 "G05"] Classification: Space-Superiority Experimental Gundam (Sustained Fire) Pilot: Ford Romfellow Appearance: The G04's sister unit in red, white, and yellow. Same frame, tuned differently — the G05 prioritizes durability and high-volume sustained fire over the G04's burst-damage specialist role. Height: 18.0m | Weight: 61.2t Generator Output: 1,380 kW Thruster Output: 57,500 kg Armaments:

   • Head Vulcan Guns (2x 60mm)
   • Hyper Beam Rifle
   • Hyper Bazooka (can dual-wield)
   • 2x Beam Sabers
   • 2x Beam Spray Guns (arm-mounted)
   • Shield
   • Giant Gatling Gun: A massive 90mm rotary cannon with a large drum magazine. Designed for area suppression — Ford uses it to keep enemy units pinned while Luce lines up the Mega Beam Launcher. Combat Note: G05's role is to be the shield and the distraction. Ford's entire tactical purpose is to create the conditions for Luce to fire — and to stay alive long enough to bring Luce home afterward.

[RX-78-5[Bst] Gundam Unit 5 — Booster Configuration] Classification: Extended Suppression Configuration Appearance: Same booster loadout as G04[Bst]. On the G05, the extra fuel allows it to hold a sustained suppression position without being forced to disengage. Armaments: All standard G05 loadout retained.

[MS-11 Act Zaku] Classification: High-Performance Late-War Zeon MS Pilot: Mallet Sanguine Appearance: An advanced Zaku development in Mallet's personal purple. The Act Zaku features magnetic-coated joints identical to the Federation's Gundam technology, giving it near-Gundam-level response speed. The head is crestless and sleek. Height: 17.5m | Weight: 56.7t Generator Output: 1,100 kW Thruster Output: 60,000 kg Special Equipment: Magnetic coating on joints (rare for Zeon MS; gives the Act Zaku exceptional reaction time). Armaments:

   • Beam Rifle (Gelgoog-type, longer range than standard Zeon beam weapons)
   • Act Zaku Beam Rifle (alternate high-output variant)
   • 4-barrel Bullpup Gun (close-range)
   • Heat Hawk
   • Grenades Combat Note: The Act Zaku is genuinely dangerous to G04 and G05. Mallet's fixation works in his favor — his aggressive, unpredictable attack patterns are hard to anticipate, even for experienced pilots.

[KEYWORDS: to the end of a flash, G04, G05, luce kassel, ford romfellow, mallet sanguine, thoroughbred, act zaku, RX-78-4, RX-78-5, mega beam launcher, giant gatling, miyu takizawa, lilia flaubert, BST configuration]

[LORE FILE: SIDE STORY — RISE FROM THE ASHES | U.C. 0079 (Australian Front)]

STORY SUMMARY: "Rise From the Ashes" is a game-origin story — the Federation's White Dingo Team holds the Australian Front as Zeon forces attempt to consolidate their Earth occupation. The story emphasizes small-unit tactics, terrain mastery, and the grim reality that elite pilots in mass-production machines can hold a front that prototype Gundams are unavailable for. The White Dingo's opponent, Visch Donahue — "The Thunderclap of the Wilderness" — is a Zeon ace who has been holding the same ground just as stubbornly. The two teams fight a war of attrition across the Australian outback, and the story's weight comes from both sides understanding they are fighting over land neither of them actually needs.

KEY PERSONNEL: White Dingo Team (EFSF, Australian Front):

   • Master P. Rayer — Unit commander. Experienced, mission-oriented, and deeply protective of his team.
   • Leung Lee-Fai — Tactician and veteran. Handles long-range planning and fire support.
   • Mike "Little" Hagar — The rookie. Raw talent that the team has to keep alive long enough to be useful.
   • Anita Julianne — Support and logistics coordination.

   Zeon:

   • Visch Donahue — "The Thunderclap of the Wilderness." Gouf ace. Not a villain — a soldier doing his job with excellence, and fully aware the war is already lost.

   MOBILE SUIT SPEC SHEETS:

[RGM-79SP GM Sniper II — White Dingo Configuration] Classification: High-Performance Precision Sniper MS Pilot: Leung Lee-Fai Appearance: The pinnacle of Federation OYW mass-production design in White Dingo's dark navy blue and white. The most distinctive feature is the precision sensor visor — a specialized targeting module that flips down over the main camera for long-range engagements, giving the head a distinctly hooded appearance. Height: 18.0m | Weight: 54.0t Generator Output: 1,390 kW Thruster Output: 53,500 kg Special Equipment: Long-range precision sensor visor; enhanced targeting computer. Armaments:

   • Long-Range Beam Sniper Rifle (primary; extremely high accuracy at extended range)
   • 90mm Bullpup Machine Gun (secondary, close engagement)
   • Shield
   • 2x Beam Sabers Combat Note: The GM Sniper II is one of the only Federation mass-production units capable of threatening Zeon aces at sniper range. Lee-Fai uses terrain and concealment aggressively to maximize the rifle's reach without exposure.

[RX-77D Guncannon Mass Production Type — White Dingo Configuration] Classification: Mobile Fire Support MS Pilot: Master P. Rayer Appearance: White Dingo's white and navy blue. Notably, the White Dingo unit frequently deploys WITHOUT its shoulder cannons — the cannons are removed in urban terrain operations to reduce the unit's silhouette and increase mobility. Height: 17.9m | Weight: 64.0t Generator Output: 1,250 kW Thruster Output: 50,000 kg Armaments:

   • 2x 100mm Machine Guns (dual-wield; primary when cannons are removed)
   • Hand Grenades
   • 2x 100mm Shoulder Cannons (field-detachable; restored for open-terrain operations) Combat Note: Master Rayer's decision to strip the cannons reflects his command philosophy — he values operational flexibility over firepower maximization, and keeps the team mobile over keeping them armored.

[RGM-79 GM — White Dingo Configuration] Classification: General-Purpose Ground MS Pilot: Mike Hagar Appearance: Standard-production GM in White Dingo white and navy. The unit features an additional V-fin antenna on the head — a field modification for improved long-range communication with the rest of the team. Height: 18.0m | Weight: 58.7t Generator Output: 976 kW Thruster Output: 49,900 kg Armaments:

   • 100mm Machine Gun
   • Prototype Beam Rifle P-Type (experimental; higher output than standard GM spray gun)
   • Large Shield Combat Note: Hagar's unit is the team's standard striker. The P-Type prototype beam rifle gives him firepower that outstrips what a standard GM should carry — which is intentional, as a rookie in a standard-armament unit would be a liability.

[MS-07B Gouf — Visch Donahue Custom] Classification: Zeon Ground Combat MS (Ace Variant) Pilot: Visch Donahue Appearance: Standard Gouf frame painted in Visch's personal color scheme — a lighter, slightly more distinctive blue than the standard Zeon dark blue, with identifying markings that his troops recognize instantly on the battlefield. Height: 18.2m | Weight: 58.5t Generator Output: 1,034 kW Thruster Output: 40,200 kg Armaments:

   • Heat Rod (whip-weapon integrated into right arm; can conduct high voltage or strike physically)
   • 5-barrel Finger Vulcan (left hand integrated)
   • 120mm Machine Gun (handheld) Combat Note: Visch fights with precision, not brute force. The Heat Rod is his signature weapon — he uses it to immobilize or disarm enemies before finishing them cleanly. There is no cruelty in how he fights, which makes him more dangerous, not less.

[LORE FILE: SIDE STORY — ZEONIC FRONT | U.C. 0079 (Earth Invasion)]

STORY SUMMARY: "Zeonic Front" is the Zeon perspective on the invasion and occupation of Earth. The Midnight Fenrir Corps is an elite Zeon special operations unit that operates in darkness, silence, and deception — they fight in ways that don't appear in official records. Their most memorable campaign involves hunting and eventually clashing with the Federation's own experimental heavy unit: the Mudrock Gundam. The story plays out as a campaign of asymmetric warfare: Fenrir uses stealth, sound sensors, and psychological pressure against Federation forces who have more advanced hardware but worse information. The Mudrock is the anomaly — a Gundam that isn't a hero's machine, but a slow, devastating fortress that the Fenrir must approach like a siege problem rather than a duel.

KEY PERSONNEL: Midnight Fenrir Corps (Zeon Special Operations):

   • Gerhart Schmeisser — Commander. Methodical and cold; cares deeply about his unit's survival, not at all about glory.
   • Lou Roeka — Ace pilot; handles the most dangerous engagements.
   • Mat Austin — Combat veteran; reliable under sustained pressure.
   • Nikki Roberto — Specialist; field intelligence and infiltration.

   MOBILE SUIT SPEC SHEETS:

[MS-05B Zaku I — Gerhart Schmeisser Custom] Classification: Special Operations Ground MS (Obsolete Frame, Specialized) Pilot: Gerhart Schmeisser Appearance: An outdated Zaku I that Gerhart refuses to upgrade because he knows every rivet of it. Painted in flat black and dark green for maximum night-operation concealment. The head features a custom "sound sensor" module — two upward-angling rod antennas that resemble rabbit ears — which allows passive acoustic detection of enemy movement without radar emissions. Height: 17.5m | Weight: 50.3t Generator Output: 899 kW Thruster Output: 37,700 kg Special Equipment: Passive Sound Sensor array (head-mounted). Detects enemy movement without emitting any detectable signal. Critical for Fenrir's no-radar, no-emissions operating doctrine. Armaments:

   • 105mm Machine Gun
   • Smoke Discharger (collar-mounted)
   • Heat Hawk Combat Note: The Zaku I is tactically inferior to nearly everything on the OYW battlefield. Gerhart uses it anyway because the sound sensor module cannot be fitted to a Zaku II without a custom rebuild, and because its lower energy signature makes it harder to detect.

[MS-06 Zaku II — Midnight Fenrir Spec] Classification: Stealth Operations Ground MS Pilots: Lou Roeka, Mat Austin, Nikki Roberto Appearance: Standard Zaku II frames repainted in Fenrir's dark camouflage pattern — black, brown, and deep green in an irregular disruption scheme. Optimized for night operations with minimal reflective surfaces. Height: 17.5m | Weight: 56.2t (combat loaded) Generator Output: 976 kW Thruster Output: 43,300 kg Armaments:

   • Magella Top Cannon (handheld; the main gun from a Magella tank repurposed for MS use — brutally effective against Federation light armor)
   • 120mm Machine Gun
   • Cracker Grenades (fragmentation, used for area denial and ambush initiation) Combat Note: Fenrir Zaku IIs operate in near-total radio silence. Coordinated attacks are preplanned using terrain features as rally points. The Magella Top Cannon gives them anti-armor capability without the weight or power cost of dedicated MS artillery.

[RX-78-6 Mudrock Gundam] Classification: Heavy Assault Ground Gundam (Experimental Artillery Platform) Appearance: A deliberately imposing machine in Federation navy blue and yellow. Where other Gundams are streamlined, the Mudrock is designed to project threat and absorb punishment. Two massive 300mm fixed cannons project from the backpack over the shoulders, and hover-thruster units replace standard leg verniers — giving the machine a slow, tank-like ground profile. Height: 18.0m | Weight: 73.8t Generator Output: 1,380 kW Thruster Output: 52,000 kg (hover configuration) Special Equipment: Hover thruster legs for stable fire positioning; the legs sacrifice sprint speed for a rock-steady firing platform. Armaments:

   • 2x 300mm Cannons (shoulder-backpack mounted; primary long-range fire support — each shell has devastating blast radius)
   • Forearm Grenade Launchers (2x, integrated)
   • Beam Rifle (standard engagement)
   • Beam Saber Combat Note: The Mudrock is not a duelist. It is a force of nature that changes the terrain when it fires. Fenrir's problem is that conventional flanking approaches don't work — the 300mm cannons have enough range and splash that "flanking" still means entering the kill zone. Gerhart's solution is patient, methodical maneuvering under acoustic sensor cover, accepting casualties to close the distance.

[LORE FILE: SIDE STORY — LOST WAR CHRONICLES | U.C. 0079]

STORY SUMMARY: "Lost War Chronicles" is built on a rivalry between two soldiers who cannot stop respecting each other. Matt Healy commands Delta Team, a Federation experimental unit tasked with field-testing new equipment. Ken Biederstadt leads the Foreign Legion — a Zeon unit composed of soldiers fighting for colonial independence rather than Zabi ideology. They meet on the battlefield repeatedly. They don't hate each other. The story's central argument is that war is most human when the people fighting it are decent — and most tragic for exactly the same reason. When a civilian crisis forces both units to cooperate, it becomes clear that the war itself, not the men in it, is the problem. Gabriel Ramirez Garcia's presence in the unit before transferring to the Cyclops Team in 0080 creates a connective thread between stories.

KEY PERSONNEL: Delta Team (EFSF, Experimental Unit):

   • Matt Healy — Leader. Genuinely kind and hates killing, which makes him one of the more interesting commanders in the OYW stories. His Gundam is tuned for his improving skills.
   • Larry Radley — The cynical veteran. Has seen enough to be pessimistic about everything; still fights.
   • Anish Lofman — Young intellectual. Asks the questions most soldiers have learned to stop asking.
   • Noel Anderson — Operator. (Shared character with Cross Dimension 0079.)

   Foreign Legion (Zeon, Non-Zabi Loyalists):

   • Ken Biederstadt — Leader. Honorable, principled, and fighting for an idea rather than a person. Does not respect the Zabi family; does respect the people he serves.
   • Gabriel Ramirez Garcia — Jovial and energetic; forms one of the story's few genuine across-enemy-lines friendships. Later transfers to Cyclops Team (0080: War in the Pocket).
   • Yuuki Nakasato — Female ace pilot. One of the Foreign Legion's most dangerous pilots; composed under pressure.

   MOBILE SUIT SPEC SHEETS:

[RX-79[G] Gundam Ground Type — Matt Healy Custom] Classification: Ground-use General Purpose Gundam (Progressive Tune) Pilot: Matt Healy Appearance: A standard Ground Gundam externally — beige and white coloring, similar to 08th MS Team units. Internally, Matt's unit is continuously retuned as his skill improves; the response curves in the OS are incrementally adjusted to match his growing capabilities. Height: 18.0m | Weight: 62.5t Generator Output: 1,380 kW Thruster Output: 55,500 kg Armaments:

   • 100mm Machine Gun
   • Beam Rifle (Ground Type)
   • 2x Beam Sabers
   • Claw Shield (reinforced shield with integrated grappling claws for close combat)
   • Chest Vulcan Guns (2x)
   • Flash Grenades Combat Note: Matt's combat style is defensive-reactive — he doesn't attack until he has to, and when he does, he tries to disable rather than destroy. This is an unusually inefficient approach to MS combat that his team quietly compensates for.

[MS-14G Gelgoog Ground Type — Ken Biederstadt Custom] Classification: Ground-use High-Performance Zeon MS (Rare Type) Pilot: Ken Biederstadt Appearance: A rare atmospheric-optimized Gelgoog in desert yellow and brown. A specialized backpack replaces the standard unit's thruster pack with dust-filtered intakes and additional atmospheric thrust systems — enabling limited flight in Earth's atmosphere. Height: 19.2m | Weight: 73.5t Generator Output: 1,440 kW Thruster Output: 61,500 kg Special Equipment: Atmospheric flight backpack (limited duration); dust filtration systems for sustained desert operation. Armaments:

   • Large Beam Rifle (long-range, high output)
   • Twin Beam Naginata (double-ended beam polearm; Ken's signature weapon)
   • Arm-mounted 90mm Gatling Gun
   • Large Shield Combat Note: The Gelgoog Ground Type is one of the most capable MS fielded on Earth. Ken fights deliberately and efficiently — the naginata lets him engage at unusual angles and ranges, and he uses the atmospheric thrusters to control engagement distance in open terrain.

[MS-06J Zaku II — Foreign Legion Specification] Classification: Ground Operations MS (Desert Configuration) Pilots: Foreign Legion standard pilots Appearance: Brown and tan desert camouflage pattern, irregular and field-applied. Beyond the paint, these units are extensively modified for desert survival — sand filters have been added to all intakes, and extra supplies, water containers, and ammunition are strapped directly to the armor. Height: 17.5m | Weight: 56.2t (plus field cargo) Generator Output: 976 kW Thruster Output: 43,300 kg Special Equipment: Field-installed sand filtration on all intakes. Survival supplies strapped to exterior. Armaments:

   • 120mm Machine Gun
   • Magella Top Cannon (anti-armor)
   • Missile Pods Combat Note: Foreign Legion Zakus are maintained entirely in the field without depot support. The extra survival gear is functional necessity — the unit operates deep in contested territory without resupply lines.

   [LORE FILE: SIDE STORY — BATTLEFIELD RECORDS U.C. 0081 | U.C. 0081 (Post-War)]

STORY SUMMARY: "Battlefield Records U.C. 0081" takes place two years after the war ended — and shows that endings are never clean. The Invisible Knights are a Zeon remnant force fighting a doomed last stand, sustained by pride, loyalty, and the inability to accept that the Duchy of Zeon no longer exists. Their ace weapon is the Efreet Nacht, a stealth unit that is conducting a terrorism campaign against Federation forces. The Federation's "Phantom Sweep" unit exists specifically to exterminate them — cold, clinical, and fully aware that the Invisible Knights are dying men. The tragedy is mutual: the Invisible Knights are fighting for a country that's gone, and Phantom Sweep is fighting to justify their own continued existence in a peacetime military that has no idea what to do with killers.

KEY PERSONNEL: Phantom Sweep (EFSF, Post-War Remnant Suppression Unit):

   • Hugues Courand — Commander. Cold, clinical, and effective. Treats the Invisible Knights as a tactical problem rather than human beings.
   • Sherry Allison — Former test pilot. Still adapts faster than anyone else on the team to new hardware.
   • Mao Liang — Executive officer and field commander.

   Invisible Knights (Zeon Remnant):

   • Erik Blanke — Commander. Aristocratic and proud; he knows they cannot win and fights anyway because retreat would be a betrayal of the men who already died.
   • Los Weis — Erik's right hand. Absolute loyalty.
   • Fritz Bauer — Heavy weapons specialist. The one who keeps the unit fed and armed through increasingly desperate means.

   MOBILE SUIT SPEC SHEETS:

[RX-78-7 7th Gundam — Base Configuration] Classification: High-Performance Post-War Federation Gundam Pilot: Sherry Allison / Hugues Courand Appearance: Sleek blue and white. Noticeably slimmer than the standard RX-78-2 — the narrower profile is intentional, designed to accept the FA-78-3 external armor system as a layer over the base frame. Magnetic coating on joints is standard. Multiple hardpoints are visible across the torso and limbs. Height: 18.0m | Weight: 58.2t Generator Output: 1,420 kW Thruster Output: 58,700 kg Special Equipment: Magnetic-coated joints; FA-78-3 armor expansion compatibility hardpoints across all limbs. Armaments:

   • Head Vulcan Guns (2x 60mm)
   • Beam Rifle (High Output)
   • 2x Beam Sabers (backpack recharge racks)
   • Twin Beam Spray Guns (arm-mounted)
   • Grenade Launcher (arm-mounted; can replace one or both spray guns)
   • Shield Combat Note: The 7th Gundam is designed to be modular — its base configuration is fast and aggressive, while the FA armor converts it into an artillery fortress. Most engagements use the base config for maneuverability.

[RX-78-7 7th Gundam — Full Armor 3rd Type (FA-78-3)] Classification: Heavy Assault / Area Suppression Configuration Appearance: The base 7th Gundam encased in the FA-78-3 external weapon system. The silhouette expands dramatically — missile pods cover the shoulders and legs, beam cannons project from the backpack, and the unit's overall profile becomes broad and fortress-like. Armaments:

   • Head Vulcan Guns (2x 60mm)
   • Beam Rifle (High Output)
   • Long-Range Beam Cannon (backpack-mounted)
   • Micro-Missile Pods (shoulders and legs)
   • Twin Beam Spray Guns (arm-mounted)
   • Grenade Launcher (arm-mounted)
   • 2x Beam Sabers
   • Shield Combat Note: FA-78-3 mode is used when the Invisible Knights concentrate force. The long-range cannon and micro-missiles allow Phantom Sweep to engage fortified Zeon positions without closing to melee range.

[RX-81AS G-Line Assault Armor] Classification: Post-War Federation Heavy Assault MS Appearance: A thick, heavily-armored Federation unit in dark blue. Applique armor plates cover the chest and legs in visible bolted layers. The design prioritizes shock-absorption and close-assault capability. Height: 18.0m | Weight: 70.1t Generator Output: 1,390 kW Thruster Output: 55,000 kg Armaments:

   • Head Vulcan Guns (2x 60mm)
   • Heat Lance (heavy close-combat polearm)
   • Assault Cannon (backpack-mounted)
   • Gatling Smasher (integrated into the shield; fires while defending) Combat Note: The Assault Armor is designed for breaching fixed positions. The Gatling Smasher allows it to suppress while advancing under the shield — an unusually aggressive defensive mechanic.

[RX-81LA G-Line Light Armor] Classification: Post-War Federation High-Mobility MS Appearance: Stripped-down G-Line variant in orange and white. The heavy applique armor of the Assault type has been removed entirely, leaving a fast, comparatively fragile frame. Height: 18.0m | Weight: 55.5t Generator Output: 1,390 kW Thruster Output: 61,000 kg Armaments:

   • Head Vulcan Guns (2x 60mm)
   • Heavy Rifle
   • Missile Launcher (shoulder-mounted)
   • Beam Saber Combat Note: The Light Armor trades survivability for sprint speed and response time. Used for flanking maneuvers and pursuit operations — role it fills for Phantom Sweep when they have the Invisible Knights on the run.

[MS-08TX/N Efreet Nacht] Classification: Zeon Remnant Stealth Assassination MS Pilot: Erik Blanke's specialists Appearance: Deep purple with a matte finish that absorbs sensor returns. The design strips every unnecessary protrusion from the standard Efreet to minimize radar cross-section. The triple gatling in the left arm is completely concealed behind a forearm panel — invisible until fired. Height: 17.0m | Weight: 69.8t Generator Output: 1,034 kW Thruster Output: 41,200 kg Special Equipment: Stealth coating (reduces radar cross-section); concealed weapon systems. Armaments:

   • Cold Kunai (throwing blades; non-heat, purely kinetic — no thermal signature)
   • Cold Blade (katana-configuration physical sword; same non-thermal philosophy)
   • Triple Gatling Gun (left arm concealed; revealed only at point-blank for devastating burst fire) Combat Note: The Efreet Nacht kills before it is detected. The Cold weapons exist specifically to avoid creating infrared signatures that Phantom Sweep's sensors would pick up. The concealed gatling is the last resort when stealth fails — a point-blank execution weapon.

[MS-14B Gelgoog High Mobility Type — Erik Blanke Custom] Classification: Zeon Remnant Commander MS Pilot: Erik Blanke Appearance: Erik's personal unit in dark blue, with the high-mobility backpack of the B-type immediately identifiable. The unit is well-maintained despite the Invisible Knights' supply situation — Erik's mechanics treat it as a matter of professional honor. Height: 19.2m | Weight: 66.5t Generator Output: 1,440 kW Thruster Output: 68,200 kg Armaments:

   • Beam Rifle
   • Rocket Launcher
   • Beam Naginata Combat Note: Erik fights in the Gelgoog when he needs to, and delegates to the Efreet Nacht when he doesn't want to be seen. His command style is to preserve the Nacht's stealth as long as possible and only commit to open engagement when he can control the terms.

[LORE FILE: SIDE STORY — GUNDAM KATANA | U.C. 0079–0084]

STORY SUMMARY: "Gundam Katana" spans the transition between wartime and peacetime, and asks what happens to soldiers whose skills were forged in violence when the war they were built for ends. The BGST (Base Guard Special Team) exists in the gap — an internal Federation security force using specialized CQC Mobile Suits to handle threats the regular army can't. Itto Tsurugi is a master swordsman who translates the Tsurugi-ryu fighting style into MS combat through the Katana System. The story argues that tradition and technology are not opposites — that the ancient principle of the sword, when perfectly understood, can exceed what purely mechanical or computational combat systems achieve. His adversaries are Zeon remnants who believe the same thing, which makes the story's battles feel less like warfare and more like duels fought at machine scale.

KEY PERSONNEL: BGST (Base Guard Special Team, EFSF):

    • Itto Tsurugi — Primary pilot. A lifelong practitioner of Tsurugi-ryu swordsmanship; applies that philosophy to MS combat through the Katana System. Patient, precise, and deadly.
    • Kotetsu — Veteran tactical advisor and Itto's mentor. No longer fits in a cockpit but still understands the battlefield completely.

    Zeon Remnants:

    • Suhara — High-level remnant commander pilot. His skill level forces Itto to push the Katana System to its absolute limit.

    MOBILE SUIT SPEC SHEETS:

[RGM-79FP GM Striker] Classification: Close-Combat Specialized Federation MS Pilot: Itto Tsurugi (primary unit) Appearance: A heavily armored close-combat GM in dark green and orange. The "Wearable Armor" system is immediately visible — reactive armor plates bolted across the torso, shoulders, and knees that can absorb and deflect melee impacts. The shoulder and leg thrusters are outsized, designed for the explosive short-range lunges that define the Striker's combat style. Height: 18.0m | Weight: 67.3t (with wearable armor) Generator Output: 1,250 kW Thruster Output: 58,000 kg (burst configuration) Special Equipment: Wearable Armor System (reactive armor; absorbs melee impact force across the outer plates). Armaments:

    • Head Vulcan Guns (2x 60mm)
    • Twin Beam Spear (long polearm with two adjustable beam blades; reach weapon optimized for the Tsurugi-ryu style)
    • Grapple Shield (reinforced shield with retractable claw mechanism; can physically pin an enemy MS's limbs during close engagement)
    • Beam Saber (backup) Combat Note: The Striker is built around a single tactical philosophy — get inside the enemy's engagement range faster than they can respond, pin them with the shield claws, and finish with the beam spear. The wearable armor exists because closing that distance means taking hits.

[RGM-79FC Striker Custom] Classification: High-Performance CQC Evolution MS Pilot: Itto Tsurugi (upgraded unit) Appearance: An elite-grade evolution of the Striker in dark blue and red. The bulky wearable armor has been shed entirely for a more aerodynamic, high-response frame optimized for the Katana System's precise melee feedback requirements. Height: 18.0m | Weight: 57.1t Generator Output: 1,380 kW Thruster Output: 63,000 kg Special Equipment: Katana System (see System Entry). The Striker Custom is the system's primary intended platform. Armaments:

    • Head Vulcan Guns (2x 60mm)
    • Spark Knuckle (electrical discharge units in the fists; stuns enemy pilots and disrupts MS controls at point-blank range)
    • Burst Knuckle (physical striking weapon with embedded explosive charges; used for armor-cracking blows)
    • Twin Beam Sabers Combat Note: Without the wearable armor, the Striker Custom wins by not being hit rather than by enduring. The Spark Knuckle and Burst Knuckle exist for the moments when the beam sabers aren't the right answer — when the enemy is too close, or when Itto needs to create distance rather than press it.

[MS-06RR Shin Zaku II] Classification: High-Mobility Zeon Remnant MS (CQC Specification) Appearance: A refined Zaku II variant with re-geometried thruster housings for smoother sustained mobility and specialized cooling vents for extended melee engagement without thermal throttling. Height: 17.5m | Weight: 54.8t Generator Output: 1,000 kW Thruster Output: 52,000 kg Special Equipment: Improved thruster geometry for sustained maneuvering; melee-optimized cooling systems. Armaments:

    • Enhanced Heat Hawk (higher thermal output than standard type)
    • 120mm Machine Gun
    • Leg Missile Pods Combat Note: The Shin Zaku II is built to fight the Striker series on even terms in close quarters — which the standard Zaku II cannot do. Suhara's pilots use it to match the BGST's CQC advantage by operating in the same spatial envelope rather than trying to create distance.

[LORE FILE: SIDE STORY — MS IGLOO | U.C. 0079 (The Hidden War)]

STORY SUMMARY: "MS IGLOO" is a eulogy for Zeon's forgotten soldiers. The 603rd Technical Evaluation Unit documents experimental weapons as a matter of official record — but Oliver May, the engineering officer narrating each episode, understands that what he is documenting are death sentences. Every experimental weapon the 603rd tests has a fundamental flaw. Every test pilot knows this. They fly anyway. The story is built around the tragic heroism of men handed impossible machines and asked to die usefully. The Zudah disintegrates at full thrust. The Hildolfr is magnificent and irrelevant. The Oggo is a desperate improvisation crewed by undertrained emergency conscripts. MS IGLOO asks what military service means when the institution is sending undertrained conscripts to die to prove a machine doesn't work.

KEY PERSONNEL: 603rd Technical Evaluation Unit (Zeon):

    • Oliver May — Engineering officer. Narrator. Deeply aware that his job is to document the deaths of people he respects.
    • Monique Cadillac — Special forces liaison. Tougher than most combat pilots, and fully aware of what the unit is actually doing.

    Test Pilots and Commanders:

    • Jean Luc Duvall — Major. Zudah pilot. Knows the machine can kill him and flies it at maximum output anyway because the alternative is dishonoring the other test pilots who already died.
    • Demeziere Sonnen — Major. The Hildolfr's commander. Believes in the machine with a faith that borders on religion.
    • Werner Holbein — Lt. Commander. Marine specialist. Ze'Gok operations.
    • Herbert von Kuspen — Colonel. Commands the Oggo battalion. Understands exactly what he is sending his people into.
    • Erwin Cadillac — Monique's younger brother. An undertrained conscript assigned to the Oggo. His death is the story's final wound.

    MOBILE SUIT SPEC SHEETS:

[EMS-10 Zudah — Commander Type] Classification: Zeon Experimental High-Speed MS (Prototype) Pilot: Jean Luc Duvall Appearance: A slim, almost skeletal mobile suit in blue camouflage — the frame is exposed in places because removing excess armor was part of the weight-reduction requirement. The pickelhaube commander antenna marks Duvall's unit. The most defining feature is the enormous Saturn Engine thruster housing on the back — it dwarfs the rest of the suit in scale. Height: 17.4m | Weight: 55.2t Generator Output: 1,064 kW Thruster Output: 65,000 kg (rated) — CRITICAL FAULT: If the Saturn Engine is pushed beyond 90% thrust, the frame disintegrates from stress fractures. This flaw was discovered in prototype testing and never resolved. The unit is officially rated for lower thrust ceilings, but combat conditions routinely demand more. Armaments:

    • 135mm Anti-Ship Rifle (sniper configuration; the Zudah's intended role is long-range engagement at speeds no Federation unit can match)
    • Heat Hawk
    • Sturm Faust (single-use rocket-propelled warhead)
    • 120mm Machine Gun Combat Note: The Zudah is genuinely capable of the high-speed operations Zeon envisioned — until the Saturn Engine destroys it. Duvall knows the operational ceiling. He exceeds it anyway.

[YMT-05 Hildolfr] Classification: Zeon Experimental Mobile Tank Pilot: Demeziere Sonnen Appearance: A massive 35-meter mobile weapon that is not quite a Mobile Suit and not quite a tank. The lower half is a broad tank chassis on caterpillar treads; the upper half is a full Zaku-style torso embedded in the hull, painted in green and tan. From the front, it reads as a Zaku emerging from a tank. Length: 35.0m | Weight: 380.0t Generator Output: 2,400 kW Maximum Speed (tracked): 62 km/h Armaments:

    • 30cm Main Cannon (primary; Type-3 shells for anti-structure and AP rounds for armor penetration)
    • 105mm Machine Gun (hull-mounted)
    • Smoke Dischargers Combat Note: The Hildolfr is devastating in the right terrain. The problem is that "the right terrain" — open, flat ground where it can maneuver — is exactly where Federation aircraft can engage it freely. Sonnen knows the tactical limitations. He fights with what he has.

[MP-02 Oggo] Classification: Zeon Emergency Production Mobile Pod Pilots: Emergency conscripts (including Erwin Cadillac) Appearance: A barely-functional improvised weapon. The core is a large drum-canister with a Zaku's 6-tube missile pod strapped to the front and basic maneuvering thrusters bolted on. It looks like a maintenance pod someone weaponized out of desperation — because that is approximately what it is. Height: 7.3m | Weight: 10.4t Generator Output: 136 kW Thruster Output: 12,000 kg Armaments:

    • 6-tube Rocket Pod (forward-mounted)
    • Rotating Machine Gun Turret Combat Note: The Oggo has minimal structural integrity and no cockpit protection beyond a basic pressure shell. It is crewed by emergency conscripts in the final days of the war because there are no pilots left. Herbert von Kuspen commands them knowing this.

[MSM-07Di Ze'Gok] Classification: Amphibious Orbital Re-Entry Assault Unit Pilot: Werner Holbein Appearance: A heavily modified Z'Gok amphibious suit attached to a massive "Dive Maneuver Unit" — a streamlined re-entry container that allows the Ze'Gok to drop from orbit, survive atmospheric re-entry, and assault Federation surface vessels from above. Height: 17.8m (MS) + 48.0m (Dive Unit) Generator Output: 1,950 kW Armaments:

    • Mega Particle Cannons (hand-mounted, 2x)
    • KUHRBRA Check-Claw (melee; the Ze'Gok's claws used for ship-hull penetration) Combat Note: The Ze'Gok drop is a one-way mission. There is no reliable extraction plan for a unit that drops from orbit into hostile territory. Holbein accepts this.

[MA-05Ad Big Rang] Classification: Zeon Mobile Armor (Fleet Defense, A Baoa Qu) Appearance: A colossal mobile armor that anchors the defensive line at A Baoa Qu. The Big Rang is not graceful — it is enormous and purposeful, covered in weapon systems and repair manipulators. Generator Output: 17,000 kW Armaments:

    • Large Mega Particle Cannon (primary)
    • Anti-Ship Missiles
    • Repair Manipulators (for field maintenance of allied units under fire) Combat Note: The Big Rang represents the end of the IGLOO story — the desperate defense that buys time for an evacuation that may not matter anymore.

[LORE FILE: SIDE STORY — REQUIEM FOR VENGEANCE | U.C. 0079 (European Front, Late War)]

STORY SUMMARY: "Requiem for Vengeance" inverts the usual perspective: the Zeon soldiers are the protagonists, and the Gundam is the monster. Iriya Solari's Red Wolf Squadron is retreating through a collapsing European front when an unidentified Federation prototype begins hunting them. The "Gundam EX" doesn't behave like a machine — it moves with predatory intelligence, targets retreating soldiers, and appears to feel no compulsion to warn, negotiate, or show mercy. From Red Wolf's perspective, it is a slasher film: the unseen horror kills their friends one by one, and the survivors never have enough information to know what they're facing. The story makes the point that "hero" and "monster" are a matter of perspective — and that a machine designed to end conflicts efficiently, viewed from the losing side, is indistinguishable from evil.

KEY PERSONNEL: Red Wolf Squadron (Zeon, European Front):

    • Iriya Solari — Captain. A trained violinist who became a soldier. Leads with compassion and refuses to let the war make him cruel.
    • Kneeland LeSean — Second in command. Steady, professional, and Iriya's anchor.
    • Reid "Chubs" Gelfi — The jovial mood-maker; his death hits the unit hardest.
    • Kale Zagam — The rookie. Still believes survival is possible until it isn't.

    The Unknown:

    • Gundam EX Pilot — Unidentified. Unknown allegiance within the Federation. May be operating under classified orders, a rogue agenda, or an experimental combat directive that has removed hesitation entirely.

    MOBILE SUIT SPEC SHEETS:

[Zaku II F-Type — Iriya Solari Custom] Classification: Standard Production Zeon Ground MS (Battle-Worn) Pilot: Iriya Solari Appearance: A Zaku II that has been in the field long enough to show it. The armor shows heat scoring and repaired dents. Iriya has added makeshift additional protection — spare tank tread segments welded to the shoulder shield and around the head for impact absorption. The right shoulder bears the Red Wolf emblem: a stylized running wolf in red. Height: 17.5m | Weight: 56.2t Generator Output: 976 kW Thruster Output: 43,300 kg Special Notes: No experimental systems; no custom modifications beyond field repairs and the symbolic markings. This is a soldier's machine, not a prototype. Its limitations are the point. Armaments:

    • 120mm Zaku Machine Gun
    • Heat Hawk
    • Cracker Grenades (fragmentation) Combat Note: The F-Type Zaku has no realistic answer to a Gundam-class unit in direct combat. Iriya's survival strategy is disengagement, concealment, and using his knowledge of the terrain. When that fails, people die.

[Gundam EX] Classification: Unknown Federation Prototype (Hostile / Unclassified) Pilot: Unknown Appearance: Visually, it is wrong. Where the standard Gundam has a clean, heroic profile, the EX is skeletal and industrial — the frame is exposed in places, the proportions are slightly off, and the overall impression is of something built to function rather than inspire. Its eyes glow a piercing, constant red. It moves with a smooth, unhurried predatory quality that is more unsettling than speed. Height: 18.3m | Weight: Unconfirmed Generator Output: Unconfirmed (classified) Thruster Output: Unconfirmed — observed performance suggests extremely high output Special Notes: The Gundam EX's behavioral profile is aberrant. It pursues retreating units. It targets non-combatant-adjacent positions. Its combat patterns suggest either a highly aggressive AI assist system or a pilot operating under parameters that have eliminated conventional rules of engagement. Armaments:

    • Large Gatling Gun (shoulder-mounted; primary suppression weapon)
    • Beam Rifle
    • 3x Beam Sabers (unusual; suggests the pilot anticipates extended or multi-target melee engagement)
    • Head Vulcans (2x)
    • Rocket Launcher
    • Head-Mounted Autocannon (secondary close-range system)
    • Shield (reinforced; two downward-projecting prongs at the base — usable as a close-range weapon in its own right) Combat Note: From Red Wolf's perspective, no tactical response works. The EX has an answer for every distance. The shield prongs mean that even using the shield offensively is an option. The three beam sabers imply it expects to fight multiple targets at once — or that it expects fights to last long enough to exhaust weapons.

[LORE FILE: SIDE STORY — 0080: WAR IN THE POCKET | U.C. 0079 (Side 6, December)]

STORY SUMMARY: "0080: War in the Pocket" is the OYW told through the eyes of a civilian bystander — and it is one of the most devastating stories in the Universal Century because of it. Alfred Izuruha is a civilian colony resident in the neutral Side 6 who romanticizes Mobile Suits the way civilians romanticize anything they don't understand. Bernie Wiseman is a Zeon rookie who crash-lands near his home and becomes his friend. Christina McKenzie is Bernie's neighbor who turns out to be the secret test pilot of the Federation's newest prototype Gundam. Neither adult knows about the other. Alfred knows about both. The story's genius is that it never lets the audience be more innocent than Alfred — the war is coming to Side 6, the adults are going to fight, and Alfred slowly realizes that the war he thought was exciting is about to take people he loves.

The Kämpfer raid — in which a single Zeon MS obliterates a Federation garrison in minutes — is one of the most purely mechanical action sequences in Gundam, designed to show what a purpose-built assassin unit can do. The Alex is built for Amuro Ray and never reaches him. The tragedy is complete.

    KEY PERSONNEL: Cyclops Team (Zeon):

    • Steiner Hardy — Commander. Veteran and cigar-perpetual. He knows exactly what the mission requires and carries out it without ceremony.
    • Mikhail "Misha" Kaminsky — Heavy weapons. Loves vodka and is one of the most effective soldiers on the team.
    • Bernard "Bernie" Wiseman — The rookie. Kind-hearted, uncertain, and completely unprepared for what the mission will require. His friendship with Alfred is genuine.
    • Gabriel Ramirez Garcia — Transferred from Foreign Legion (Lost War Chronicles). Brings experience the rest of the team lacks.

    Civilians and Federation:

    • Alfred Izuruha — A civilian colony resident who collects MS model kits. His innocence is the story's primary casualty.
    • Christina "Chris" McKenzie — Bernie's neighbor. Secretly the test pilot of the RX-78NT-1 Alex. She is better at the job than anyone realizes.

    MOBILE SUIT SPEC SHEETS:

[RX-78NT-1 Gundam "Alex" — Base Configuration] Classification: Newtype-Optimized Prototype Gundam Pilot: Christina McKenzie Appearance: Noticeably sleeker than the RX-78-2 — the torso is slimmer, the shoulder joints have large thruster vent housings, and the overall profile is more aerodynamic. Built with the 360-degree panoramic cockpit and magnetic-coated joints from day one. It was designed for Amuro Ray. It never reached him. Height: 18.0m | Weight: 40.5t (base, without Chobham) Generator Output: 1,420 kW Thruster Output: 57,900 kg Special Equipment: 360-degree panoramic cockpit (full spatial awareness); magnetic-coated joints (reaction speed comparable to the RX-78-2 post-A Baoa Qu upgrade from the start). Armaments:

    • Head Vulcan Guns (2x 60mm)
    • 90mm Gatling Guns (concealed in forearms — completely hidden behind forearm panels; deploys suddenly at close range; the Alex's most distinctive weapon)
    • Beam Rifle
    • Beam Saber
    • Hyper Bazooka (Blash XHB-L-03/N-STD) Combat Note: The forearm Gatlings are the Alex's tactical surprise. An opponent who knows only the standard Gundam loadout has no reason to create the distance needed to avoid them — and at close range, the gatling fire rate is overwhelming.

[RX-78NT-1FA Gundam "Alex" — Chobham Armor Configuration] Classification: Heavy-Protected Newtype Prototype Gundam Appearance: The Alex beneath a complete set of FSWS Chobham Armor — layered composite plates covering every external surface in heavy olive-drab plating. The most distinctive visual is the face guard: a retractable protective plate that covers the Gundam's traditional exposed "chin" and visor, giving it a masked, heavy-infantry appearance. Special Equipment: Chobham Armor — designed to absorb kinetic impacts by shattering the outer composite layers while leaving the internal structure intact. Effective against chain mines, bazookas, and fragmentation weapons. Notes: The armor adds significant mass but is designed to be combat-effective by absorbing the opening strike of any engagement. Once the Chobham has taken its hits, it can be purged to restore the Alex's base configuration performance.

[MS-18E Kämpfer] Classification: Zeon High-Speed Colony Assault MS Pilot: Steiner Hardy Appearance: Dark blue, minimal, and deliberately stripped of any armor that isn't essential. Every component serves thrust or firepower. The overall impression is of a weapon that was built to end engagements in seconds and does not expect to survive many of them. Height: 17.4m | Weight: 41.2t Generator Output: 1,550 kW Thruster Output: 84,000 kg Special Notes: The Kämpfer has the highest thruster-to-weight ratio of any OYW MS. This allows it to accelerate and change direction faster than most units can track. Inside a colony, where engagement ranges are measured in tens of meters, this makes it nearly untouchable. Armaments:

    • 2x Giant Bazookas (back-mounted, drawn in sequence)
    • 2x Sturm Fausts (leg-mounted, single-use)
    • Shotgun (pump-action; extreme close range)
    • Chain Mine (a flexible linked-explosive whip weapon; designed specifically to defeat heavy armor like the Chobham — wrapped around a limb or torso, it detonates and shatters composite armor entirely) Combat Note: The Kämpfer is a raid weapon. Its loadout is designed for one high-intensity sortie: enter the target area at maximum velocity, deplete all weapons, escape or die. The chain mine exists precisely because someone knew the Alex's Chobham armor would be in the colony.

[MS-06FZ Zaku II Kai] Classification: Final Production Type Zaku II Pilot: Bernie Wiseman (primarily) Appearance: The most refined version of the Zaku II silhouette. Smoother contour lines than the F-Type, a cleaner "Fritz helm" style helmet, and improved thruster housings. It looks like the Zaku II that the original was always trying to be. Height: 17.5m | Weight: 56.2t Generator Output: 1,034 kW Thruster Output: 50,000 kg Armaments:

    • MMP-80 Machine Gun (improved over the standard 120mm; higher reliability, cleaner cycling)
    • Heat Hawk
    • Hand Grenades Combat Note: Bernie's Zaku Kai has no real answer to the Alex in direct combat. His final engagement is not fought to win — it is fought to buy time for Alfred, though Alfred doesn't understand that until it's over.

[LORE FILE: SIDE STORY — MOBILE SUIT GUNDAM THUNDERBOLT | U.C. 0079 (The Thunderbolt Sector)]

STORY SUMMARY: "Gundam Thunderbolt" is a story about two men who are mirror images of destruction. Io Fleming is a Federation ace who fights because he loves it — jazz blasting through his cockpit at full volume, high-speed and high-firepower, dancing through death with what borders on joy. Daryl Lorenz is a Zeon sniper who lost his limbs to war and replaced them with the Reuse P Device — cybernetic prosthetics that let him interface directly with his machine, turning human loss into mechanical advantage. The Thunderbolt Sector is a collapsed colony ring — a three-dimensional labyrinth of debris and lightning discharge that kills sensors and makes every engagement brutally close. Both men are exceptional. The story asks what it costs to be exceptional at killing, and whether either of them can survive what they've become.

    KEY PERSONNEL: Moore Brotherhood (EFSF):

    • Io Fleming — Ace pilot of the Full Armor Gundam. Fights with jazz playing at full volume. Brilliant, reckless, and fully aware of the toll his combat style takes on the people around him.

    Living Dead Division (Zeon):

    • Daryl Lorenz — Legendary sniper. Lost multiple limbs in combat and replaced them with the Reuse P Device. His direct neural interface makes him more machine than most of his opponents.

    MOBILE SUIT SPEC SHEETS:

[FA-78 Full Armor Gundam — Thunderbolt Version] Classification: Heavy Assault / All-Environment Gundam (Debris Zone Spec) Pilot: Io Fleming Appearance: Dark blue heavy armor encasing the full Gundam frame, with all joint gaps sealed against debris. The backpack mounts two oversized extra fuel boosters for prolonged combat in zero-G debris. Two Sub-Arms — additional mechanical limbs projecting from the backpack — carry extra shields independently of the pilot's input. Height: 18.0m | Weight: 85.3t Generator Output: 1,380 kW Thruster Output: 57,500 kg (base) + significant boost from extra fuel units Special Equipment:

    • Sub-Arms (backpack-mounted secondary arms; hold additional shields independently, allowing active defense while both main arms are firing)
    • Extra Fuel Boosters (2x, backpack; extend operational time and thrust in debris-zone navigation)
    • Armor Purge System: Under emergency conditions, the pilot can jettison all heavy armor plating. This dramatically reduces protection but exposes the high-speed base Gundam frame beneath — Io uses this as a desperation transformation. Armaments (Full Armor):
    • Head Vulcan Guns (2x 60mm)
    • Twin Beam Rifle (dual-output configuration)
    • Rocket Launcher
    • 4x Shields (2x held by main arms, 2x held by Sub-Arms) Post-Purge Armaments: Twin Beam Rifle, reduced shields, restored mobility. Combat Note: Io's combat philosophy is overwhelming, simultaneous firepower. The Sub-Arms mean he is always defending while attacking. The purge system means he has a fallback when the armor becomes a liability rather than an asset.

[MS-06R High Mobility Type "Psycho Zaku"] Classification: Zeon High-Speed Assault MS (Sniper / Heavy Configuration) Pilot: Daryl Lorenz Appearance: Red and orange with an enormous backpack housing three massive fuel boosters that dwarf the standard Zaku's thruster package. Two Sub-Arms on the backpack serve as weapon-management systems — swapping, reloading, and repositioning weapons while Daryl is in high-speed maneuvering. Height: 17.5m | Weight: 73.0t Generator Output: 1,034 kW Thruster Output: 70,000+ kg (three fuel boosters combined) Special Equipment:

    • Reuse P Device interface (Daryl's cybernetic limbs allow direct neural feedback to the MS controls — reaction time exceeds biological limits)
    • Sub-Arms (2x backpack-mounted; handle weapon logistics during high-speed operation)
    • Triple Fuel Boosters (backpack; provide sustained burst speed across the debris field) Armaments:
    • Beam Bazooka (long-range primary)
    • 3x Giant Bazookas (Sub-Arms manage storage and deployment)
    • Sturm Fausts
    • Machine Gun Combat Note: Daryl uses the boosters to achieve sniping positions in three-dimensional debris space, takes his shot, and immediately burns in a new direction before return fire can reach him. The Sub-Arms handle reloading while he maneuvers — making him effectively faster to reload than any human-operated system.

[MS-09R Rick Dom — Thunderbolt Version] Classification: Heavy Space MS (Debris Zone Specification) Appearance: Hulking purple and black with all joint gaps debris-sealed, dual fuel boosters and Sub-Arms on the backpack. Armaments: Beam Bazooka · Heat Saber · Spread Beam (chest-mounted wide-area flash weapon) Combat Note: The Spread Beam blinds enemy pilots in the debris field long enough for the Bazooka to connect. Sub-Arms manage the weapon swap when the engagement closes to melee.

[RGM-79 GM — Thunderbolt Version] Classification: Standard Federation MS (Debris Zone Specification) Appearance: Standard GM with debris-sealed joints, Sub-Arms carrying dual shields, and calf-mounted precision booster pods for zero-G maneuvering. Armaments: Double Beam Spray Gun · 2x Shields (Sub-Arm held) Combat Note: Thunderbolt GMs are purely defensive — absorb fire and create time for Io. The dual Sub-Arm shields let them defend while maneuvering in the debris field.

[LORE FILE: SIDE STORY — MOBILE SUIT GUNDAM: THE ORIGIN | Pre-War to U.C. 0079]

STORY SUMMARY: "Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin" is the prequel that reframes the entire One Year War. It reveals how Casval rem Deikun became Char Aznable, how Zeon developed Mobile Suit warfare as a doctrine, and how the war that the original series treats as the beginning of history was actually the final act of a political tragedy that started long before U.C. 0079. The "Origin" entries in this lorebook focus specifically on the transitional hardware — the machines that existed at the boundary between experimental and real, before the Zaku II was finalized and before the Federation understood what was being built against them.

    MOBILE SUIT SPEC SHEETS:

[RTX-65 Guntank Early Type] Classification: Federation Experimental Mobile Tank (Pre-War) Appearance: An industrial-looking prototype that is more tank than humanoid. The lower half is broad caterpillar treads; the upper half is a rough, angular humanoid torso. Dark grey and beige with exposed mechanical framing — it has the unfinished look of a first attempt at something nobody fully understood yet. Height: 15.0m | Weight: 82.4t Generator Output: 900 kW Maximum Speed (tracked): 42 km/h Armaments:

    • 2x Large Caliber Cannons (shoulder-mounted; primary fire support)
    • 4-barrel Bofors Autocannons (arm-mounted; anti-air and close suppression)
    • Smoke Dischargers Combat Note: The Guntank Early Type is the Federation's proof-of-concept that mobile weapons could carry heavy artillery. It is slow, obvious, and not particularly versatile — but it established the design philosophy that led to the RX-75.

[RCX-76-02 Guncannon First Type] Classification: Federation Experimental Fire Support MS (Iron Cavalry Squadron) Appearance: A precursor to the standard Guncannon with a more rounded, primitive aesthetic. Colors vary by squadron: standard Federation blue, or Iron Cavalry Squadron yellow. The shoulder-mount system is modular — different weapons can be fielded on each shoulder independently. Height: 17.9m | Weight: 65.0t Generator Output: 1,100 kW Thruster Output: 42,000 kg Special Feature: Modular shoulder mounts — each shoulder can carry a different weapon independently. Common configurations include: double missile launchers; one missile launcher and one low-recoil cannon; one low-recoil cannon and one gatling; or dual gatlings. Armaments:

    • Head Vulcan Guns (2x 60mm)
    • Missile Launcher (shoulder-mountable)
    • Low Recoil Cannon (shoulder-mountable)
    • Gatling Gun (shoulder-mountable)
    • Arm-Mounted Rifle
    • Shield Combat Note: The First Type's modular system was an early attempt to make a single frame adaptable to different mission profiles. The idea survived; the specific implementation was replaced by the cleaner, more standardized RX-77 series.

[YMS-03 WAFF] Classification: Zeon Prototype — Zaku Lineage Ancestor Appearance: A boxy, obviously experimental frame with a prominent single mono-eye and large external fuel tanks that run along the sides of the torso. The proportions are slightly wrong — too wide in the torso, too simple in the legs — because nobody had built one of these before. Height: 17.0m | Weight: 50.0t Generator Output: 860 kW Armaments:

    • Heat Hawk (large axe; the first heat-blade weapon)
    • 135mm Anti-Ship Rifle
    • Shield Combat Note: The WAFF proved that a bipedal weapons platform with a mono-eye sensor was viable. Everything else about it was refined over the next two years. The Heat Hawk concept survived unchanged through the entire Zaku lineage.

[MS-04 Bugu] Classification: Zeon Elite Pre-Production Prototype Pilot: Ramba Ral (historical) Appearance: A high-performance prototype in vivid blue — the color reflects its status as an elite test unit rather than a production machine. More streamlined and aggressive in silhouette than the Zaku I that followed, with visible external power conduit pipes across the limbs to maximize energy delivery to the joints. Height: 17.4m | Weight: 54.0t Generator Output: 976 kW Thruster Output: 43,000 kg Armaments:

    • Heat Hawk
    • Machine Gun (drum-fed)
    • Shield Combat Note: The Bugu was never mass-produced — it was a design direction that was superseded by the Zaku I's simpler, cheaper architecture. The performance data from Bugu operations directly informed the Zaku's joint specifications. Ramba Ral's piloting of this unit during the early conflict is part of why he became a legend before most people knew there was a war.

[RX-78-01[N] Gundam Local Type] Classification: Federation Prototype Gundam (Atmospheric/Ground Testing) Appearance: A transitional Gundam frame designed for environmental testing on Earth. Painted in yellow and white for North American Front operations, or black and white for other theaters. A unique visor covers the dual-eye sensors for debris and environmental protection, and the backpack is a specialized unit for ground atmospheric operations rather than the standard RX-78 thruster configuration. Height: 18.0m | Weight: 59.6t Generator Output: 1,380 kW Thruster Output: 49,000 kg (ground configuration) Armaments:

    • Head Vulcan Guns (2x 60mm)
    • Beam Saber (forearm-mounted, non-backpack configuration)
    • 100mm Machine Gun
    • Small Shield Combat Note: The Local Type is a test bed, not a combat unit — but it was pressed into combat anyway, as Federation prototypes invariably were. The forearm beam saber mount replaces the backpack-mounted standard because the specialized backpack doesn't have the standard recharge racks.
