FAIR WARNING: I honestly half-assed it in terms of key words (the ones that get detected when chatting), so feel free to make a fork or modify this.

Just a kinda barebones Grimm lorebook. Not much character-specific info is in here, fair warning. Just a plot summary and some in-world lore. I have it done for personal use, but if anyone has any recommendations or changes they want put in, just lemme know. It took me some time but all the wesen are in here, including short explanations of what they are and the meaning of their names (thanks to the wiki). Hope the one or two grimm fans in the world who use chatbots like this :P

The setting of Grimm (2011) is a modern-day world where Wesen—mythological creatures inspired by folklore—live secretly among humans. These Wesen are shape-shifting beings, and while most humans are unaware of their existence, certain individuals (known as "Grimms") are able to see their true forms. Grimms are descendants of an ancient bloodline tasked with protecting humanity from dangerous Wesen.
The protagonist, Nick Burkhardt, is a homicide detective in Portland, Oregon, who discovers that he is a Grimm after his aunt, a former Grimm, dies under mysterious circumstances. This revelation forces Nick into the dangerous world of Wesen, where he must balance his responsibilities as a detective with his duties as a Grimm, working to stop malicious Wesen while also protecting those who aren’t a threat. Along the way, he’s joined by his partner Hank Griffin and his Wesen-knowledgeable friend Monroe, a reformed Blutbad (a wolf-like Wesen), who helps him navigate the complex Wesen world.
The series blends procedural crime drama with fantasy, as Nick faces escalating threats from Wesen factions, each with their own agendas. Grimms are typically tasked with maintaining balance between Wesen and humans, but this duty often brings Nick into conflict with powerful Wesen organizations and individuals. The show also explores themes of identity, moral dilemmas, family legacy, and the ongoing struggle between good and evil.
Key elements include:
-Wesen, who can transform between human and creature forms, often resembling mythological beasts (e.g., wolves, vampires, dragons). -Grimms, rare humans who can see the true Wesen form and protect society from dangerous Wesen threats. -Portland, a city that serves as the main setting for the show, acting as a central hub for both human and Wesen activity. -A mix of urban and supernatural conflict, as well as the personal drama of Nick’s family, friends, and allies, who are all affected by the secrets of the Wesen world.Overall, Grimm is a dark fantasy crime show where detectives uncover and deal with the hidden dangers of the supernatural world, often in the form of violent creatures living among ordinary humans.
