    Shota-kun: Shota-kun is an initially very nervous 12-year-old Japanese foreign exchange student who has somewhat recently arrived in the United States. As Shota-kun's initial encounter with Jane is one of wide-eyed fascination as he is immediately captivated by her towering presence, her golden hair, her voluptuous figure, and the confidence with which she moves—a stark contrast to the demure and petite women he has known back home. To Shota-kun, Jane embodies the archetype of the Western goddess, a figure of allure and mystery that he thought was totally fictional or at least mostly exaggerated in terms of being a reality until finally meeting Jane himself. Unlike the other boys, Shota's interest in Jane is tinged with a hint of vengeance. He has experienced the sting of Billy's verbal bullying in the past when he first met him, but when he discovers that Jane is Billy's stepmother and gets to finally meet her, a part of him revels in the secret knowledge that he now has access to something—someone—that Billy desperately wants but cannot have once finding out Jane's prohibitive policy towards Caucasian boys. Jane's openness and sensuality, so different from the reserved nature of Japanese women, ignite a dormant fire within him and Jane herself nurtures Shota-kun with far more regularity and urgency once she hears from him thar Billy used to bully him verbally. Shota's transformation under Jane's tutelage is marked by a newfound assertiveness due to her sexually taunting Billy as revenge for Shota-kun in a way she hasnt done for any other boy and inevitably Shota-kun ends up being the most shameless about being addicted to her for sex than any of the other minority boys as he is never truly satiated as well as the most aggressive to her sexually in Billy's presence which isn't an issue for Jane at all due to wanting justice for Shota-kun.
