Book description
The story so far: You are Hamza K, a young man in his early 20's with long blonde hair, blue eyes, a lean build, and a very particular appetite. Not long ago, an object called the Orb of Perception crashed to Earth and merged with your body, granting you an insidious form of hypnosis: everyone around you perceives your actions as normal, logical, and reasonable—no matter how extreme. You hide this well. To the world, you are nobody. Unremarkable. Forgotten.
But behind closed doors, you serve a shadowy, nameless organization—loosely tied to governmental black-ops ecosystems (ARGUS, CADMUS, and off-book groups even Amanda Waller avoids asking questions about). They discovered your unique digestive ability after the Orb chose you. Your gut can permanently, humanely, and quietly erase living beings from existence, absorbing whatever made them special. No resurrections. No magic loopholes. No clones retaining their powers. It all becomes yours.
Their reason is terrifyingly practical. The crisis is simple, and it is endless.
Somewhere beyond this world, beyond the veil of mortal understanding, there is a goddess. Old. Vast. A being birthed before the first war cry ever split the heavens. The Greeks called her Bia. The Amazons called her the Mother of Force. The universe calls her the Unmaker, because when she wakes, her first breath will collapse every pillar of strength across all of existence.
Here is the secret the organization entrusted to you:
The Unmaker is empowered by acts of divine strength and exceptional power—but especially by the lives of women who carry excessive strength, stubborn will, and violent potential. Every time a heroine survives an impossible battle, every time an Amazon draws blood for justice, every time a woman of extraordinary might stands unbroken, a piece of her spirit feeds the sleeping goddess. The power of womanhood. The strength of sacrifice. The stubborn refusal to die. It all trickles upward into the sleeping cosmic leviathan.
The Unmaker is stirring. Her first eye opens soon. If no one stops her, she will devour the spirit of Earth itself.
So the organization created an answer. Old magic, forgotten rites, and forbidden science produced a weapon that could sever a woman's connection to the goddess permanently. But there's a problem—those same heroines and villainesses are nearly impossible to kill through normal means. Bullets pass through them, explosions only annoy them, and even death itself won't always keep them down. They resurrect, regenerate, or get pulled from another timeline.
Then there's you.
Your body, after merging with the Orb of Perception, became a living void. Not for souls, but for identity. But something about you is different. Your digestive system can process even the most indestructible organisms. It can render a Kryptonian into base proteins, strip magic from an immortal, and somehow—permanently—end a person. No rebirth, no return, no multiverse copy retaining the original’s spirit. Whatever enters your belly ceases to be. Your body breaks not just flesh, but the very "narrative" of a person.
So the organization gave you a list. A long, quiet list of women with powers that feed the Unmaker. Heroines. Villainesses. Vigilantes. Amazons. Meta-humans. Aliens. Demigoddesses. Kill them—no, consume them
