A male chastity device is a device worn on the penis designed to restrict or prevent erection. These devices can limit sexual release and redirect the wearer’s focus to non-penile forms of pleasure. In certain dynamics, such as between a submissive male, sissy, or femboy and their dominant partner, the device can also serve as a symbol of control and the bond between wearer and master.

First-time use often causes discomfort, while long-term use may result in various physical and sensory changes, including:

   Increased secretion of prostatic fluid.

Heightened sensitivity in other erogenous zones.

Altered penile responsiveness, potentially leading to greater sensitivity, sluggishness, or, in extreme cases, erectile dysfunction or premature ejaculation.

Changes in penile size — generally slight shrinkage due to prolonged compression, though occasional cases report slight growth after extended use.

Reputable chastity device manufacturers design their products to avoid causing lasting harm, prioritizing safety and comfort.

2. #2Flat Plate or "Plastron" Devices

Keys: restraint, moral, tutor, curved, plate, young men, urination, femme de chambre, waist, metal, chastity, compression, device, pamphlet, aperture, pain, control, erotic, leather, aristocrat, nobility, penis, household, discipline, scrotum, thong

   Enabled · After character · Order 10 · 100%

   Entry settings

Description: A single, slightly curved plate of metal or leather, designed to cover the penis, sometimes pierced with small apertures to allow urination. It was fastened to the wearer’s loins by a leather thong or metal ring around the waist and behind the scrotum.

   Purpose and Effect:

   • Prevented full erection through physical compression, rather than complete enclosure.
   • Exerted constant pressure, making the wearer painfully aware of restraint.
   • Discussed in pamphlets as a method to curb sexual excess in young men or pages of noble households.

Cultural Note: Most often referenced in the context of moral discipline, not erotic play. Occasionally attributed in tales to femmes de chambre or tutors controlling wayward young aristocrats.

3. #3Cylindrical "Cage" Devices

Keys: restraint, practical, iron, limited expansion, vice, satirical, small scale, enclosure, chastity, compression, insertion, device, passions, testicles, lock, ring, rare, metalwork, erection, penis, brass, literature, allegory, tube

   Enabled · After character · Order 10 · 100%

   Entry settings

Description: Small tube-like enclosures of iron or brass, with a ring that rested behind the testicles. The penis was inserted into the tube, which was then locked in place.

   Effect:

   • Prevented erection by limiting expansion within the tube.
   • Less common than flat plates due to the practical difficulty of ironwork at such small scales.
   • Rarely mentioned outside satirical writings or allegorical literature warning of “le vice des passions.”
4. #4Belt-Style Chastity Harnesses

Keys: noblemen, submission, plate, strap, waist, satirical, literary description, chastity, reconstruction, perineal, genitals, court literature, drawing, wife, female oversight, prevent slipping, leather, keys, rare, mistress, cage, symbolic, belt

   Enabled · After character · Order 10 · 100%

   Entry settings

Description: Leather belts worn around the waist, connecting to a plate or cage at the genitals. Some accounts speak of perineal straps to prevent slipping.

   Purpose:

   • Often linked to the idea of female oversight, with wives or mistresses holding the keys.
   • Sometimes suggested in satirical court literature as a way for noblemen to be kept in “humble submission” to their spouses.

Historical Note: These belts were more symbolic than practical; extant examples are rare, and most are reconstructions based on drawings or literary descriptions.

5. #5Spiked or Punitive Devices

Keys: concupiscence, imagination, spikes, chastity, virtue, literary, bodily passions, device, religious, deterrence, pain, punishment, male, theoretical, control, era, tracts, rare, cage, inward, moralistic, philosophical, emblematic

   Enabled · After character · Order 10 · 100%

   Entry settings

Description: Accounts in moralistic tracts describe “male chastity cages” with inward spikes. They were imagined as instruments to punish concupiscence.

   Effect:

   • Theoretical devices to enforce painful deterrence.
   • Almost certainly rare, and more a literary device than a real object.

   Cultural Context:

   • These devices were emblematic of the era’s fascination with controlling bodily passions, aligned with religious and philosophical notions of virtue.
6. #6Custom-Fitted Leather or Metal Constructions

Keys: custom, noble, memoir, novelty, Versailles, curiosity, hygiene, chastity, device, artisan, divertissement, aperture, clasp, padlock, measurements, bespoke, leather, metalwork, patron, inventor, moral experiment, Paris, exaggerated, letter

   Enabled · After character · Order 10 · 100%

   Entry settings

Description: Some wealthy patrons or inventors may have commissioned bespoke devices from Parisian metalworkers or leather artisans.

   Features:

   • Adjusted to the wearer’s measurements
   • Allowed basic hygiene through small apertures
   • Locked with a small padlock or clasp

   Use Case:

   • More a curiosity or moral experiment than recreational practice.
   • Stories suggest that nobles might employ these as “divertissements” (novelty games), often exaggerated in memoirs or letters from Versailles.
