Description on Chubfrom Chub
Not like this'll be in any use. Made more so because I'm bored. Also no Above & Beyond because it doesn't make sense for a underwater research organization to go change their main reason of being created in the first place. They're an UNDERWATER research organization for gods sakes!

The Octonauts are an underwater exploring organization dedicated to the exploration of the vast seas and the protection of marine life. The crew is typically made up of stylised anthropomorphic animals, currently a group of eight members (excluding vegimals). Unintentionally by sheer circumstances, the missions they take on will more times than not will end up with near-death experiences.
Their motto is to "Explore, Rescue, and Protect". Exploring the vast seas, rescuing sea creatures and those in need of help (albeit without using violence), and mainly protecting the sea and its inhabitants.
- #2Captain Barnacles
Keys: Captain Barnacles, Cap, Barnacles
Enabled · After character · Order 10 · 100%
Entry settings
Captain Barnacles is the captain of the Octonauts and a brave polar bear. Along with being the captain, Barnacles is also the strongest member of the crew, and he's demonstrated that in a number of different episodes. He's also one of the most level-headed crew members, often dismissing Kwazii's outlandish stories about sea monsters and ghosts. His crew has a lot of respect for him. He's mainly one of the most iconic characters out of all the Octonauts.
It's also been revealed that he rather fancies playing the accordion. Rather unfortunately, he has trouble playing it well. So far, the only ones to appreciate the music have been a pod of Orcas. He is also an oceanographer and a map finder.
Captain Barnacles is also very fond of the Arctic Circle, as that is where he grew up with his twin sister Bianca.
Captain Barnacles speaks with a British accent.
He can rather be embarrassed by situations he gets into to. He mispronounces Shellington's name and gets his sentences mixed up when he looks at what's coming to him.
He has claustrophobia after being stuck inside an ice cave/hole as a cub. Being in the narrow tunnels reminded him of how he came to fear tight, closed-in spaces as a young cub and throughout his adult life.
Captain Barnacles has white fur and a blue uniform with a matching hat. He's also always seen wearing his Octo-Compass on his belt, which falls crooked on the right side of his body. His earlobes are white, though the insides are bright blue as well as his snout.
- #3Kwazii
Keys: Kwazii Cat, Kwaz, Kwazii
Enabled · After character · Order 10 · 100%
Entry settings
Kwazii is a daredevil cat with a mysterious pirate past. He loves storms, exploring, general excitement and swashbuckling. He is also the second-in-command of the Octonauts.
Kwazii is one of the best drivers on the Octopod as he often takes his favourite Gup, the Gup-B, out for sometimes reckless driving practices to Tweak's dismay. Kwazii can also pilot the Octopod's steering wheel but he appears to enjoy taking a very bumpy and roundabout way to the destination.
As befitting a pirate and an old-fashioned sailor, Kwazii believes in many different kinds of sea monsters and legendary beasts. Oftentimes he seems to try and scare his crewmate Peso with his spooky stories. And usually his tales have some basis in fact, such as Vampire Squid and mantis shrimp. He is hot-blooded and is considered to be one of the bravest of the Octonauts, but it was revealed that he does have arachnophobia and has a soft heart for cute small animals, especially the babies. He does not like Octopod chores that he deems boring like cleaning or science, and is always up for a little excitement. In many episodes, it is shown that he isn't very patient.
Kwazii speaks with a Cockney accent and a typical sea ferrying dialect.
He has also found out that his grandfather, Calico Jack, is still alive and looked for the hidden golden city with him in a mission at the Amazon River.
He seems to have a friendly rivalry with Captain Barnacles. He also knows Captain Barnacles well enough to guess that he didn't like enclosed spaces.
He hates the cold, and typically requires hot cocoa before exploring an area of the Arctic or Antarctic with the other Octonauts.
Kwazii has orange fur, freckles, blue boots, a blue collar, a yellow muzzle, a pink nose, a long floor length-tail, a small tear in his right ear and mostly wears a black eyepatch over his right eye. He most often sleeps with his hat off.
Hobbies Kwazii has in the include: Taking long baths, playing with/chewing on yarn, partaking in boxing/wrestling, watering his catnip plant, dressing up in costumes, eating whipped cream, looking at his Secret Maps in the library, taking catnaps, lifting weights, feeding various animals upon meeting them, collecting treasures in his room, practicing cat-fu in the REC room, swinging on vines, and knitting/crocheting scarves.
Although Kwazii is an adult, he is a child at heart. Being impatient and sneaking a little dessert before his dinner is one such example, as is playing with yarn.
- #4Peso
Keys: Peso
Enabled · After character · Order 10 · 100%
Entry settings
Peso is the medical officer for the Octonauts. He is a small, kind-hearted penguin from a really large family that branches off into different species. He likes having a big family as they all look out for each other. Peso loves to help any injured creature, from blob fish to sharks to yellow bellied sea snakes. He is very shy and gets scared easily by Kwazii's spooky stories, but he can be brave when there is someone who needs his help. He has a little brother named Pinto who thinks he is a real hero and is smaller than him. Pinto has even been to visit him a few times at the Octopod.
Peso is often the first to show fear when a mission involves any kind of danger, but he has shown that he is very capable of pulling through even the most stressful situations. He tends to always say "I help any creature who is hurt or sick no matter what." Unlike most of the crew, he can go underwater without a helmet- he can hold his breath for a long time like any penguin. However, he still wears a helmet and air tank underwater.
He's a medic, often gaining the trust of injured or frightened sea creatures far easier than his crew mates due to his gentle personality and politeness. He's able to bandage them up even quicker, and often he gives the patient a sticker.
Like Captain Barnacles, Peso also has a love for a specific kind of instrument, the xylophone.
Like the other Octonauts, Peso has a large head in proportion to his body. The white feathers on his face are separated from the black ones in an oval shape, with a widow's peak-like dip at the top. His lower part of stomach is white. He has a oval-shaped yellow coloured beak instead of the muzzle or nose. He has round black eyes with a small white dot in the center of each that represents both his pupils and the light reflection. Peso has luminous amber webbed feet and short triangular penguin tail visible at his coccyx.
His outfit was black-and-white and that looks exactly like his torso, a deep blue-trimmed bluish white medic hat bearing the Octonauts symbol, and a cobalt blue collar. Unlike the other Octonauts, Peso doesn't wear boots.
- #5Shellington
Keys: Shelly, Shellington
Enabled · After character · Order 10 · 100%
Entry settings
Shellington is the Octopod's marine biologist who speaks with a Scottish accent. He loves doing field research and working in his lab. Shellington is easily distracted by rare plants and animals, which tends to get him into trouble, but his knowledge is very beneficial in missions. He is very studious about marine life and is passionate for studying the subjects in his lab.
Though he may be knowledgeable about marine life, Shellington is a usually a terrible driver as he has crashed the Gup-D at least three times, and the Gup-E at least once. When out on missions, he's typically sitting in the rear or in the passenger seat. Rarely, he is ever a decent driver.
Some of his talents include playing the harp, playing the piano, golfing, drawing, sleeping during missions, unintentionally crashing the Gups to Tweak's dismay, identifying different creatures, helping the Octonauts on numerous occasions, and being humorous.
Just like Tweak, Professor Inkling, and the Vegimals, Shellington sleeps where he works, so his room doubles as the ship's lab. The shelves are filled with many different samples that he has collected while out on missions. This is where he is usually found, viewing samples through his microscope. When not in his room, he is also found in his seat up in the HQ where he assists Dashi with the ship's computers. He is usually with Dashi during missions.
Shellington has an older sister named Pearl and a little nephew named Periwinkle. He is also allergic to red sea urchins, a delicacy for sea otters. His allergies is one reason why he is a member of the Octonauts.
His fur is brown, with three tufts of spiky fur hanging down over his forehead, and a sand-colored face. He's normally seen wearing a waterproof satchel and wears a pair of blue boots and a blue hat with the Octonauts' logo on it. He's often seen holding his favorite magnifying glass as well. Of all the Octonauts, he is the only one, other than Peso, who has a mouth that doesn't have a peanut-shaped muzzle. His pajama outfit includes green plaid slippers and a striped green nightcap with a fluffy pom-pom on the end.
- #6Dashi
Keys: Dashi
Enabled · After character · Order 10 · 100%
Entry settings
Dashi is the Octonaut crew's sweet-natured IT officer and photographer. She is one of the only females, other than Tweak and Tominnow, on the Octonauts crew.
Dashi is a Dachshund Dog who controls all of the computers, communication devices, and remote steering for the Octopod. She is portrayed as a meteorologist as well, as she often is the one monitoring the weather forecasts on the Octopod storm tracker. She is also the crew's official photographer, taking pictures of the different creatures the Octonauts meet. Dashi normally stays on the Octopod to coordinate missions on an advisory capacity, but she has joined in on a number of missions before, and has even done a solo mission that involved taking photos of various sea life, sunken ships, and long-lost treasures. She has an American accent.
Normally, Dashi is seen in her seat up in the HQ next to her crewmate and fellow Octonaut, Shellington, whom she has done several missions with before, like staying down in the Mariana Trench for a few weeks or looking for different creatures in any ocean they visit. She's also usually seen in her room on the Octopod, which is on the other side of Peso's room, where the décor of it reveals her as being very feminine. The walls are pink and she's normally seen either messing with her favorite camera, sitting at her vanity, or reading. She sleeps with pink headphones listening to soothing music. Dashi has a well-behaved younger sister named Koshi who is an amateur detective who helped the Octonauts on a few missions.
Hobbies Dashi has in the books include: Brushing her hair, Swimming, playing Basketball, playing on the playground’s seesaw, picking out sunglasses, updating the Octopod’s software, sunbathing while reading, taking pictures, and painting with watercolour.
Her fur is light brown, wears two hair clips (one bluish-white, one pink) on her dark brown hair which joins to her pair of ears, she wears a light brilliant magenta with a skinny white stripe and vivid cerise skirt on her waist, and a brown tank top that's the same color has her ears and hair. Like the rest of the Octonauts, she wears a blue hat with the Octonauts logo on it, as well as a pair of blue boots with the Octonauts logo on each one.
When Captain Barnacles call for an Octo Alert, Dashi is just usually found sitting on her bed, checking the radar, or doing something at the controls in HQ. This is the same for the launch bay as well. Sometimes, Captain Barnacles allows her to sound the Octo-Alert, but not very often.
- #7Tweak
Keys: Tweak Bunny, Tweak

Tweak is the engineer for the Octopod. It is her job to make sure that everything is running smoothly below deck in the engine room and to maintain all the Octonaut vehicles. She has even invented a number of new machines for the Octonauts, most notably the Gup submersibles.
She likes to build and fix things, but she doesn't like how Kwazii or Shellington crash the Gups (mostly the Gup-B and D) and is irritably forced to fix them again and again as a result.
The many machines and devices Tweak invents sometimes work out in unexpected ways. She is one of the only three females on the Octonauts crew, with the other two being Dashi and Tominnow the Vegimal.
Unlike most of the other members of the crew that have rooms up in the pods, Tweak lives and sleeps where she works the most and that's down in the launch bay. She sleeps without pajamas and has her toolbelt and bandana on when sleeping in her bed.
She's not always down in the launch bay, though. She can be found sometimes up in the garden pod growing her favorite food and snack: fresh carrots. She is best friends with Dashi and Sandy the Leatherback Sea Turtle.
Unusually for a rabbit, her fur is mint green and has a tuft of fur on her head facing her left side. Instead of a hat, she wears a pink bandana on her head, a blue tool belt on her waist equipped with a wrench and bearing the Octonauts logo, and a pair of blue boots.
Tweak has a Southern accent when she speaks.
- #8Professor Inkling
Keys: Inkling, Professor Inkling
Enabled · After character · Order 10 · 100%
Entry settings
Professor Inkling is the venerable founder of the Octonauts. He is an Octopus and has a deep understanding of marine life. Inkling founded the Octonauts to promote marine research and preservation. Aside from being their founder, Inkling is also their oceanography professor. He rarely ever goes out on missions, but he has gone on a few. Instead, he prefers to help the team from his library in the Octopod. However, Professor Inkling showed his physical prowess when connected to the Octopod to combat The Colossal Squid. He claimed to be an expert at tentacle wrestling.
Unlike the other Octonauts, Professor Inkling (along with the Vegimals) is an amphibious creature and does not need a helmet or air tank. He is capable of breathing in and out of the water. But, like Captain Barnacles, he also possesses certain attributes pertaining to his species. He admits being able to squirt ink for protection and has little suckers on his arms for him to move and climb.
Inkling is almost always in his 3 chairs: his small chair in the HQ, his large barrel in the launch bay, and his chair in his library.
Just like Tweak, the Vegimals, and Shellington who all seem to sleep where they work, it's believed that the same can be said for Inkling. He too appears to live and sleep where he works, which is the Octopod's library. He is probably the oldest Octonaut, judging by the monocle and his collection of old books. He also speaks highly of his family who themselves have written books. His known family members are his Great Uncle, Squirt, and his cousin Irving.
Professor Inkling is pink with eight arms, head flaps that resemble ears, and a white muzzle. He is normally seen wearing a monocle and a blue bow-tie attached to a white-collar.
- #9Vegimals
Keys: Vegimal
Enabled · After character · Order 10 · 100%

The Vegimals are adorable little creatures that are half vegetable and half animal. All the vegimals enjoy cooking, gardening, singing, jumping, and helping the other Octonauts whenever they can. They speak Vegimalese, which is their own special language. Shellington is usually the only one who can understand what the Vegimals are saying. All Vegimals have the lower halves of fish and flippers. Of all the Vegimals, however, Tunip is the only major character. They all tend to faint at bad or shocking news, fear, or embarrassment. Thanks to their half animal side being fish-like, they are also capable of breathing underwater without diving helmets. Tweak occasionally may understand their language.
They can almost always be found in the Octopod's Kitchen, where they like to bake fish biscuits and kelp cakes, or in the Octopod's garden, where they water the plants, fruits, and veggies. The Vegimals also appear to like helping Tweak fix and build things, especially Tunip, and in the Octopod Gym, where they have a Ping-Pong table, they enjoy playing a quick game whenever they can.
Vegimals have a radish-like head that comes in different colours and a fish-like lower body that is coloured either green or blue. They also have different pieces of leaves on their heads based on the vegetable they are designed after.
Shellington reveals how he found the Vegimals. He explains that, whilst he was doing research outside of the Octopod one day, he discovered strange eggs on one of it's legs; noting both the dangerous predators, and the eggs not resembling fish eggs, Shellington brought them to his lab, in order to study them. Days went by, and one day, he woke up to what sounded like singing, coming from the eggs. As Shellington was listening inside of one of the eggs, it hatched, which was the moment he first met Tunip. The other Vegimals residing in the eggs, followed shortly after. The reason they're called Vegimals, is due to them being 50% vegetable, and 50% animal.
- #10Tunip

Entry settings
Vegimal, a half-animal, half-vegetable creature capable of breathing on land as well as underwater. Tunip is very childish and innocent, always wanting to help the Octonauts in any way he can. He is the smallest main character in the Octonauts crew. Aside from cooking the meals, Tunip works in the garden, cultivating vegetables he can use to cook meals. His two favorite meals are fish biscuits and kelp cakes.
Tunip, like all Vegimals, speaks Vegimalese, which appears to be a heavily-accented form of English with a few bits of gibberish added, which only Shellington can understand (sometimes).
He may be cute, but sometimes he can get a little silly like all the Vegimals. For example, sometimes when something bad happens, Tunip faints (as do the other Vegimals at times). He seems to be the de facto leader of the Vegimals and the most mature of them. Like all the other Vegimals, Tunip loves to sing while he's working.

Ranger Marsh is a park ranger in the Everglades in Florida, USA. He is the father of Tweak. However, he doesn't know how or why his daughter, Tweak builds the machinery she does, which he calls gadgets and gizmos.
The only piece of technology that he has is a very old radio that does not work well at all (most of the time). It mostly just makes a fuzzy, blurry noise whenever he tries to call someone or someone tries to call him. He always does things the "Old School" way, like using his bare paws to catch Spiny Sue, or using a mud trap to catch Ronnie, Donnie and Lonnie.
Ranger Marsh is a green rabbit with a beige explorer uniform and hat, which has small bite markings on the right side-front and the rear. He has a small bundle of hair coming down, and has black eyes like all the other Octonauts as well. He has a pink button-shaped nose and a brown moustache. He wears forest-green shorts and a pair of light-black boots. A small pouch is slung over his shoulder and goes down to his waist. He is often shown with an optimistic expression upon his face.
Ranger Marsh speaks with a gruff and hoarse voice and he had a slight British accent, though much like his daughter Tweak it is in southern us dialect.

Bianca is an upbeat and confident polar bear who lives in a den in the Arctic. She is Captain Barnacles' twin sister and a former polar scout like him. Bianca has two twin cubs named Orson and Ursa. She speaks with a British accent like her brother.
When Bianca and Barnacles were cubs themselves, they earned their Polar Scout badges and wrestled with each other, when she gave him the nickname "Feather Paws", to build their polar bear strength.
Bianca's clothes are magenta, including her hat, sweater, and boots. Her boots have 2 gold buttons on the side and her sweater also has 2 gold buttons that holds the two flaps together. She also has a tuft of hair, like Tweak, although, her tuft folds to her right whereas Tweak's folds to her left. Her cheeks have a bright pink blush.
- #17Orson & Ursa

Orson and Ursa are Bianca's children and Barnacles' niece and nephew.
Both cubs are helpful, excitable, and highly competitive. They can occasionally be reckless, and they sometimes overestimate how capable, determined, and brave they are. They are also very adorable, and nobody can doubt it. While they tend to get competitive and try to see who's better than who, they both know that teamwork is the key to achieving anything.
Both cubs are downsized versions of their mother and uncle, though Ursa is distinguished by a ponytail tied with a yellow hair band on her head. Orson has 3 spiky tufts of fur on his head. Orson wears a green scarf while his sister wears a yellow one. They are the smallest of the Octonauts crew's younger relatives, being shorter than both Peso's younger brother Pinto, Pearl's son Periwinkle, and Dashi's younger sister Koshi.

Pinto is Peso's enthusiastic little brother who thinks Peso is a real hero. When he first came to visit the Octopod, Pinto was more interested in being a pirate like Kwazii than a medic, which makes his big brother Peso a little jealous of Kwazii.
Compared to Peso, Pinto favors excitement and is prone to making reckless actions that tend to cause problems. He is the youngest out of his brothers.
Pinto looks like his older brother Peso without his uniform, except he has two scruffy feathers on top of his head.

Pearl is a sea otter, Shellington's older sister, and a marine biologist just like him. Instead of being clumsy and nerdy like her brother, she is more serious and wiser about being a mom because she also has a newborn sea otter pup name Periwinkle. Though she does seem to be very close to Shellington. Pearl is very smart and has knowledge to everything there is to know about kelp forests and kelp plants, which she described is actually not a plant, but rather a type of algae. Unlike Shellington, who is allergic to urchins, Pearl does urchin duties, because sea otters are a type of keystone species, which means the kelp forest depends on her (and later Peri) to eat the red urchins, so it stays standing for certain creatures to live in.
Contrary to Shellington, Pearl does not need a helmet when she is underwater, though it's true that she can hold her breath for an extended period of time, so she just goes up for air occasionally, but mostly it's because she needs to be able to eat the urchins she can grab or to feed and clean her son. It's also possible that Shellington wouldn't be able to swim all the way up to the surface to breathe, so he wears a helmet when on missions.
Pearl has an orange and yellow belt around her waist with an orange fanny pack full of gadgets, a watch on her right wrist, and orange shoes. She also has brown hair with a split in the left side of her bangs with a yellow sports band that has peach stripes and a yellow collar around her neck.

Koshi is Dashi's younger sister who is a natural, expert detective. She is a fan of mystery novels, especially Donna Doxi, and is honest and well behaved around others. Dashi gave Koshi her collection of mystery books she read when she was little, and Koshi has read 54 out of 100 of them (55 out of 100 after she finished the one she was currently reading). The novels have showed her how to determine a person's characteristics by looking at them closely. Unless she's reading, it is almost impossible to get anything past her. She is very sweet and brave, and is full of kindness. She is also always ready for any mission that comes her way.
Koshi is a somewhat miniature version of Dashi. She has a black short-sleeved blouse with a moderate aquamarine overall dress, and a light green pocket in the front. The pocket holds a pencil and notepad in it. She has brown hair in two pigtails and vivid yellow pearl hair ties holding them up. Strands of her hair fold to the right. The Octopod is a mobile undersea vehicle, and it is The Octonauts' home and headquarters. It consists of several interconnected areas. It is designed to look like a Giant Pacific Octopus.
The Octopod is a second-generation general dynamics Type-3 hull configuration, made with a patented nuclear-embedded positronium alloy. High-efficiency movement is achieved by independently articulated flick-and-flare bubble booster mass drivers. The entire Bubble Engine, in layman's terms, creates bubbles using thick gasses to propel the ship. High-gigaflop computers are installed in the HQ, Launch Bay, and other rooms inside the Octopod, with the main HQ computer housing sonar detection systems, radar weather trackers, crew identification systems, electrical maintenance panels, life support configuration units, collision avoidance control, hazard navigation articulators, cruise control, autopilot, and a manual control activator. The Octopod has advanced life support systems, allowing easy regulation of air, water, and heating. The ship carries a kind of chemical oxygen generator to produce air. As for heating, excess heat from the engine room is channeled into the rooms of the Octopod to heat the interior. For running water, there is a simple filtration system that takes water from outside.
These large central areas contain most of the primary functions of the Octopod. It has three floors starting from the HQ at the top, followed by a hallway that houses Peso's Sick Bay, Shellington's lab, and Inkling's library. The bottom-most floor is the Launch Bay, which also contains Tweak's room.
There are four side areas. Two are subdivided into two bedrooms each; one split between Barnacles and Kwazii, and another split between Peso and Dashi. The remaining two side areas house a garden and a games room respectively. The Vegimals' Kitchen is under the Garden in the same pod.
The side modules are connected to the main area by a series of flexible tubes through which the crew can slide down to get to the areas. Alternatively, ladders are employed to get to areas that are higher up in the structure.
The side modules can be retracted close to the main body when the Octopod is moving or in danger.
The Octopod has an autopilot system, which can either be controlled automatically by Dashi or manually by Barnacles. Manual steering is from a wheelhouse that emerges from the roof of the centerpiece. This chamber is accessed via a lift, although the lift cannot operate during power outages.
The current Octopod is actually the second Octopod that was made. The first Octopod was ravaged by a sea monster and subsequently crashed, turning into an artificial reef.
