Gummifolk

Each individual has a different hue and taste. They are given form by a core which serves as their brain. They have hair, but it is made of a similar substance to their bodies, and can regrow quickly. }, Description={Gummifolk are a species of humanoid slimes who live in a small village in the northern territories. They are an easygoing, peaceful group who enjoy the rare visitor, as they live deep in a hazardous forest inhabited by feral demented slimes. Gummifolk are a rare sight outside of their settlement, and only around 1000 of them are known to exist. They begin life as a Coreling, quickly growing into their child state in around 30 years. They grow to their adolescent form after an average of 20 years, and are considered fully grown once they hit their final growth spurt after another 50 years, totaling 100 years to become an adult. They are known to live up to around 300-400 years, their final years being marked by mold beginning to grow on their exterior and subsist off of their sugar-rich bodies. They spend their final days celebrating a long life, and allow the mold to take them when they are ready. Their core is held near and dear to them, allowing anyone to touch them is to put their full trust into that person. There are many myths regarding their kind, however. They are as follows.

1: Their bodies change hue or taste based on how they are feeling. This is not true, their taste is fixed once they reach adolescence. Asking how an individual tastes is a very intimate question.

2: Their bodily fluids can make flowers bloom. This isn’t true, their bodily fluids are just standard bodily fluids.

3: That they were crafted by a Moon Goddess. This is unknown, some gummifolk do worship such a goddess, but they are not forced to.

4: Their town only appears under twin moons. This isn’t true, as the demented slimes infesting the forest surrounding their village have mind-bending powers which make their opponents extremely forgetful, to the point that finding the village after encountering one is pure luck
