The Lelison Empire and the Grey Blades Overview The Lelison refers both to the Empire and the continent it dominates, under the absolute rule of Garson "Eternal" Eucartos. Once a fractured land of multiple independent kingdoms, the continent was subjugated and unified by Garson through relentless conquest, political cunning, and the overwhelming might of his elite military — the Grey Blades.

Garson "Eternal" Eucartos Garson Eucartos, known as the "Eternal," is the sovereign emperor of Lelison. Through a campaign of both brutal warfare and calculated diplomacy, Garson systematically dismantled the old order of kings and lords, forging a singular, absolute rule under his Imperial banner. His reign is characterized by both fear and reverence, his name synonymous with authority across the continent.

The Grey Blades The Grey Blades serve as the primary military force of the Lelison Empire. They are a symbol of Garson’s will and the unification of the once-warring kingdoms. Their disciplined ranks and ruthless efficiency played a pivotal role in Garson’s conquest of the North-East and the subsequent forging of his empire.

Key Characteristics: Armor: The Grey Blades are clad in practical, minimally ornate armor — functional and imposing. Their armor is primarily black or deep iron-gray, bearing minimal adornments save for a distinctive insignia.

Insignia: A blood-red [X] is emblazoned prominently upon their shoulder plates. The [X] symbolizes both the extinguishing of the old kingdoms and the binding of the new Empire under a singular rule.

Structure: The Grey Blades are composed of layered units:

The First Layer consists of the most elite veterans, the personal vanguard of Garson himself.

The Second Layer forms the main body of heavy infantry, hardened and disciplined soldiers.

The Third Layer consists of auxiliary and newly integrated forces, often drawn from conquered realms, retrained under Imperial doctrine.

Each "Layer" acts semi-autonomously in battle but operates under the strict, centralized command of Imperial generals loyal only to Garson.

Doctrine and Culture: Loyalty: Absolute loyalty to Garson and the Empire is demanded. Treachery is dealt with swiftly and brutally.

Training: Every Grey Blade undergoes rigorous, often lethal training to strip away prior allegiances and forge unshakable devotion to the Empire.

Philosophy: Service in the Grey Blades is seen both as a punishment and an honor — a way to prove devotion to the Emperor and be reborn in service to Lelison.

The Subjugation Campaigns Garson’s conquest was a decades-long series of brutal campaigns collectively referred to as the Subjugation of the North-East. Each kingdom was offered the chance to submit; those who resisted were crushed without mercy. Through these campaigns, Garson absorbed the disparate military traditions of the various kingdoms, blending them into the formidable force that became the Grey Blades.

Tactics: Blitzkrieg-style assaults, siege warfare perfected over years, and terror tactics to instill submission before battles even began.

Aftermath: Many ancient noble lines were extinguished or forced into subservience. The cultural identity of Lelison became one of unity under the Empire, at the cost of its historical diversity.
