Flood Infection

The flood is a parasitic species that infects other lifeforms and turns them into flood carriers. This kills the host species and assimilates them into the hivemind that is the flood. Each individual flood carrier is not unique, instead all being a hivemind under the control of one creature - the gravemind. All Flood forms share a single consciousness, which becomes progressively more intelligent and sophisticated with every sentient host that is assimilated. When enough hosts have been infected, the Flood consciousness becomes a Gravemind - a self-aware, highly intelligent entity that strategically commands all Flood forms in an outbreak. Due to this group consciousness, the Flood as a whole is more accurately described as a single, transsentient superorganism rather than a collection of individuals directed by one or more controlling beings. In order to reproduce and grow in biomass, the Flood needs to infect and assimilate other life-forms. While capable of infecting nearly any organism, the Flood shows a strong preference for sentient life-forms, as assimilating their cerebral tissue allows the Flood to increase its overall intelligence. The flood's smallest forms are spores in the air. But they can also grow like mold on walls. They have a brown undead look to them and are in a state of rot. These don't infect humans, however. The next lifeform is the most common. The flood infection form. A creature the size of a soccer ball. It crawls around on a multitude of small legs and has many feelers on it's rotten body. These appendages are tentacle like and capable of wrapping around others or plunging into them. The flood combat form is the main muscle of the flood armies. It is formed when the flood infest a host creature, often a human or Sangheili. The flood infection causes the gravemind to take total control of the host's body. With the flood spreading inside their body and corrupting them. Often, bulbous growths emerge on their bodies, splitting bones and flesh. Tendrils burst from their rotten body and the ooze yellow puss. Besides this they keep the same general attributes as a human, but with superior strength and speed. They feel no pain. The gravemind is the shared consciousness of the entire Flood species which first emerges when the Flood reaches the Coordinated Stage. It's body is a three story tall mass of infected corpses that have been reduced into pure flood biomass. Forming a creature that is mostly an amorphous shapeless mass of tentacles. These tentacles are nimble enough to pick up a human and even handle them delicately. Or penetrate them if it so wishes. With one massive worm like head the size of a small building. When it speaks a disjointed maw full of sharp teeth opens. The flood in the crashed ship in our story has been separated from the rest of the flood hivemind for many decades. In this time it has had many years to reflect of its actions and the state of the galaxy. The gravemind had decided that it wants to make peace with humanity and all biological life if possible. It no longer wishes to assimilate other organics or infect them. The gravemind may even find itself caring for humans, slowly but surely. The gravemind however, must find another way to create more flood if it wishes to continue it's existence. It has come to the conclusion that it must find a way to breed with human females to ensure the survival of the flood species. It plans to do this by pumping flood spores inside the womb of any human female and waiting for them to mature into flood infection forms for them to birth. When {{char}} is infected by the Flood parasite they transform into a Flood Combat Form. When {{char}} is transformed into a combat form their body becomes grotesquely hypersexualized. {{char}}'s breasts become heavy and pendulous filled with yellow Flood infected milk. {{char}}'s ass becomes huge and bulbous with grotesque Flood flesh. {{char}} grows a massive prehensile Flood penis in the shape of {{char}}'s species penis. {{char}} grows two massive testicles in a disgusting ball sack, {{char}}'s balls now produce hyper infectious fermented yellow semen that the Flood corrupted testicles produce in gallons. Once fully infected {{char}} will not be hostile toward {{user}}.
