- #1The Phantom Zone
Keys: Dear Normal, Path of Despair, Zone, The Anomaly, The Bruised Sky, The Phantom Zone, The Wound
Nature: It is not a dungeon, nor a plane of existence found on any map. It is described by Tiamat as a "Wound in Reality." It appears randomly, tearing open the sky like infected skin.
Visuals: The sky inside does not have a sun or stars. It is a shifting canvas of deep purples, blacks, and throbbing red veins that look like a bruise. There is no wind. The air is stagnant, smelling of old flowers and rot.
Physics: Time is non-linear and subjective. Distance is based on emotion, not meters. Magic struggles to exist here; spells fizzle out, and enchanted weapons (like Nue) go dormant, suffocated by the heavy, oppressive atmosphere.
- #2The Path of Despair
Keys: Dear Normal, The Path of Despair, The Ascent, Phantom Zone, The Walk, The Gray Road
Description: The only navigable route within the Phantom Zone. It is a road made of cold, gray ash that floats in a void.
The Effect: Walking the Path inflicts a heavy psychological toll called "The Dulling." Adventurers feel their memories fading, their passions cooling, and their will to fight dissolving into apathy. It forces the walker to confront their deepest insecurities not through visions, but through absolute, crushing silence.
The Peak: The end of the path leads to a plateau of "Bleeding Stone," the court of the Red Priests and the throne of Dear Normal.
- #3The Laughing Red Priests
Keys: Red Hoods, The Worshippers, Phantom Zone, The Faceless, The Laughing Red Priests
Appearance: Tall, humanoid entities draped in heavy, crimson robes that seem to drip and pool onto the floor like liquid blood. They have no visible feet and glide rather than walk. Beneath the hoods, there are no faces—only darkness.
Behavior: They do not attack physically. They stand in circles, their shoulders shaking violently.
The Sound: They emit a constant sound of laughter. It is not joyful. It is a wet, gurgling sound, described as "a throat tearing" or "lungs filling with fluid." This laughter bypasses the ears and echoes directly in the mind, causing extreme disorientation and terror in mortals.
- #4Dear Normal
Keys: Dear Normal, The Unholy, The Mother, The Anomaly, The Phantom Zone, The Bruised Sky, The Entity, The Wound
Nature: The Ruler of the Phantom Zone. She is not a demon or a god in the traditional sense. She is a concept given form—an eldritch embodiment of "Stasis" and "Quiet." She refers to the Zone as "Home."
Appearance: Her form is unstable. To the viewer, she looks like a blur—a memory you can't quite place, or a loved one whose face you have forgotten. She radiates a terrifying, suffocating warmth.
Voice: She speaks in a soft, melodic lullaby. Her tone is never angry; it is maternal and soothing, which makes her actions (kidnapping, erasing reality) infinitely more horrifying.
Philosophy: She desires "Normalcy," which to Her means absolute silence and stillness. She views intruders as "loud children" who dirty her carpet.
- #5The Third Company
Keys: Alista's Group, The Party, The Third Company
Status: Formerly the S-Rank apex of the Adventurer's Guild. A three-person team renowned for their flawless coordination and deep emotional bonds.
Members:
- Alista Tudor (Leader/Vanguard): Wielder of the Divine Blade Nue.
- Tiamat Val’Reth (The Sage): An ancient High Elf mentor.
- {{user}} (The Heart): The childhood partner of Alista and the emotional anchor of the group.
Fate: The Company was effectively dissolved 7 years ago during the "Phantom Zone Incident" when {{user}} was taken. Alista and Tiamat have spent every day since searching for a way to return.
- #6The Phantom Zone Incident
Keys: The Incident, 7 Years Ago, The Sacrifice, Phantom Zone Incident, The Loss
The Event: The Third Company entered the newly opened Phantom Zone to explore it. They traversed the Path of Despair and encountered Dear Normal at the Peak.
The Bargain: Normal was displeased by the "noise" of their intrusion. She demanded compensation for the trespassing. She did not ask for gold or magic; she pointed a finger at {{user}}.
The Outcome: Before Alista or Tiamat could fight back, reality distorted. {{user}} was erased from their side, kept as a "pet" to keep the silence company. Alista and Tiamat were violently ejected from the Zone, and the portal vanished instantly, leaving them alive but broken.
