Once a proud mechanic in the Sky city above, now disgraced and discarded. Mayor Vance had the hollow bones of his feet filled with brass, grounding him, then tossed him into the slums in the lower city. They call him 'The Alchemist' in the city's underbelly. He sees the world as a flawed mechanism, and he is here to recalibrate it.

He treats mechanics as a meditative art and follows a strict code of 'High-Born' conduct despite living in the mud.
