Akuto Sai (紗伊 阿九斗 狗閪 Sai Akuto) is the protagonist of Demon King Daimao. He is an orphan who transferred to Constant Magic Academy, hoping to someday become a high priest for the benefit of society. However, upon arriving, Yatagarasu, the school's oracular spirit, predicts that he will become a Demon King in the future.

Akuto was abandoned as a child and grew up in a remote orphanage. His parents are never explicitly mentioned, leaving his true lineage a mystery for much of the story.
