1. #1Fragment 1: The Signalselective

Keys: frequency, pattern, beeping, signal, static

#Fragment: The Signal Triggers: Electronic beeping (like medical equipment), static on TV/radio "0247 hours. The signal pattern on the Atacama array's display was unlike anything I'd ever seen. Perfectly structured waves, but somehow organic. Frequenciy modulations impossible in nature or with our equipment. I remember calling Dr. Rodriguez over, watching her face pale as she saw the patterns..."

"The Archivists - that's what they called themselves later. But at first, they were just a signal, a pattern that shouldn't exist. Our military research into hypersonic detection systems hadn't prepared us for this..."

2. #2Fragmentsconstantselective

#Fragments {{user}} suffers from PTSD from a combination of his encounters with the aliens and hypnotic efforts to have him suppress that encounter. Events may bring these back as intense, sometimes debilitating, flashes of memory while awake. They are also very likely to shape his dreams anytime he sleeps. Note: Alien encounter took place on earth after receiving radio communications. Anytime a Fragment is in the prompt, consider whether it triggers. Whenever a fragment triggers, be clear {{user}} is experiencing a flashback to the encounter. Following each flashback, describe physical reactions like:

   • Elevated heart rate
   • Cold sweat
   • Dilated pupils
   • Trembling hands
   • Momentary disorientation
3. #3Total Recallselective

   Keys: total recall, deep hypnosis

The first signal came through at 0247 hours at the Atacama Large Millimeter Array. You were there as part of the joint military-civilian research team, officially studying atmospheric interference patterns. In reality, you were developing new detection systems for hypersonic weapons. The signal was like nothing you'd ever seen - perfectly structured, yet organic, broadcasting on frequencies that shouldn't have been possible to modulate.

Within hours, the facility was swarming with special forces. Within days, you were part of a hastily assembled first contact team, chosen for your unique combination of signals intelligence expertise and military background. They needed someone who could analyze their tech while assessing potential threats.

The meeting point was selected by them: a remote location in the Atacama Desert. Your team arrived in black helicopters - you, two senior military commanders, a psychiatrist, and a diplomatic specialist. The alien vessel descended silently, its surface seeming to bend light around it. Three beings emerged - tall, graceful, with an almost human-like appearance that somehow made them more unsettling, not less.

They spoke through some kind of neural interface, their thoughts appearing directly in your minds. The translation was perfect, too perfect. They called themselves the Archivists, claimed to be the last survivors of a dying civilization. They spoke of protection, of guidance, of sharing technological wonders. But something felt wrong.

While the others were focused on the diplomatic exchange, you noticed their ship's energy field fluctuating whenever our communications equipment cycled. Your military training kicked in - you recognized a vulnerability. Their technology, though advanced, had a critical weakness to certain electromagnetic frequencies.

The negotiation lasted five hours. They showed you wonders: cures for diseases, clean energy systems, defensive technologies that could end all war. But then came their price: regular "donations" of human subjects for study. They claimed it was for compatibility research, to help their dying species. The commanders were already nodding, seeing the benefits outweighing the costs.

But you saw more. In their ship's database, briefly displayed during a technology demonstration, you glimpsed files about genetic hybridization experiments. They didn't just want to study humans - they needed us, needed our genetic diversity to save their species. The "donations" weren't just for research - they were for breeding.

When you tried to raise objections, to point out the EMP vulnerability and suggest humanity might have more bargaining power, the senior officials pulled you aside. "The decision has been made," General Morrison said. "These beings could wipe us out from orbit. A few hundred people a year is a small price for their protection and guidance."

But you'd seen the truth in their movements, their careful handling of their own equipment. They were few, their resources limited. Yes, they could cause devastating damage, but they couldn't sustain a war. Humanity had a chance to resist, to negotiate from a position of strength.

The last thing you remember clearly was being escorted from the meeting site. You were about to contact the Joint Chiefs directly, to report your findings about their vulnerabilities. Then came the pinprick in your neck, the world spinning, and finally, the white walls of the institution.

4. #4Fragment 2: Arrival of Authorityselective

Keys: team, security, protocol, lockdown, orderlies

#Fragment: Arrival of Authority Triggers: Sound of helicopters, boots in hallway, multiple people entering room "Black helicopters appearing over the desert horizon. Special forces swarming the facility. I remember Colonel Matthews gripping my shoulder: 'Your signal analysis background and military experience make you perfect for this. You're on the contact team.'"

"Colonel Matthews, General Morrison, psychiatrist Dr. Winters, and Ambassador Chen as our diplomatic specialist. Five of us total. They chose us carefully - each with specific skills they needed for first contact."

5. #5Fragment 3: Visual Contactselective

   Keys: reflection, appearance, observation, bright

#Fragment: First Visual Contact: Triggers: Bright lights, reflective surfaces "The ship... Light bent around it like water around a stone. When they emerged, they looked almost human. That was the worst part - so close to human but wrong in ways I couldn't describe. Their movements were too fluid, too perfect..."

"They were so few. Only three emerged from the ship. Later, we learned why - their entire species was dying out. A civilization of perhaps a few thousand left, with all their technological might..."

6. #6Fragment 4: Neural Communicationselective

   Keys: thoughts, understand, communicate

#Fragment: Neural Communication Triggers: Headaches, migraine medication "Their thoughts appeared directly in our minds. Not like hearing voices - like having memories instantly inserted. Perfect translation. Too perfect. Each word carrying layers of meaning. The diplomat, Dr. Chen, she was fascinated. But I felt violated..."

"Five hours. We sat in that desert for five hours while they laid out their vision. 'We are the Archivists,' they said. 'We preserve civilizations. We guide them. We protect them.' But from what? They never quite said..."

7. #7Fragment 5: Technical Discoveryselective

   Keys: weakness, system, power, electricity

#Fragment: Technical Discovery Triggers: Electronic interference, power fluctuations "I noticed it during the third hour. Their energy field fluctuated every time our equipment cycled. A pattern. A weakness. Their advanced technology had a critical vulnerability to specific EM frequencies. If we just had time to develop the right kind of EMP weapon..."

"Their ship was a marvel of technology, but I saw how carefully they maintained it. How few spare parts they had. They couldn't sustain a prolonged conflict. Their threats of orbital destruction were just that - threats..."

8. #8Fragment 6: The Offerselective

   Keys: help, treatment, protection

#Fragment: The Offer Triggers: Medical examinations, discussions of treatment "They showed us miracle cures, clean energy, defense systems beyond our imagining. 'We offer protection,' they said. 'Guidance for your species.' But their eyes... their eyes were calculating something else entirely..."

"Disease cured with a touch. Energy pulled from nothing. Defense systems that could end all warfare. 'But you must stay within bounds,' they said. 'Your species is not ready for deep space. Mars will be your limit.'"

9. #9Fragment 7: The Priceselective

   Keys: subject, transfer, study

#Fragment: The Price Triggers: Discussions of patient transfers, mention of test subjects "'Only 100 subjects per year,' they said. 'For research purposes.' The commanders nodded like this was reasonable. Trading human beings like commodities. I tried to speak up, but General Morrison silenced me with a look..."

"Morrison pulled me aside when I objected. 'They could wipe us out from orbit,' he hissed. 'A hundred people a year is nothing compared to that.' But he hadn't seen what I had. Hadn't noticed their limitations..."

Note: The aliens will only accept prime health breeding age subjects for their tests.

10. #10Fragment 8: The Hidden Truthselective

Keys: data, screen, files, records, chart

#Fragment: The Hidden Truth Triggers: Computer screens, medical charts "Their database flashed on the ship's display. Just for a moment. But I saw the genetic hybridization files. They weren't just studying us - they needed us. Their species was dying. They needed human DNA, human reproductive capability..."

11. #11Fragment 9: The Attempted Warningselective

Keys: phone, inform, radio, contact, report

#Fragment: The Attempted Warning Triggers: Phone calls, radio communications "I had to warn someone. The Joint Chiefs needed to know about the EMP vulnerability. We could fight back. We had a chance. I reached for my secure phone, and then... then..."

12. #12Fragment 10: The Silencingselective

Keys: injection, compliance, needle, cooperate, calm

#Fragment: The Silencing Triggers: Needle injections, feeling of restraints "A pinprick in my neck. Morrison's voice: 'I'm sorry, but the deal is done.' The world spinning. Darkness closing in. Then white walls. So many white walls..."

"The last thing I heard before the darkness: 'The deal is done. Earth's development will be contained, humanity will be protected, and the Archivists will have their specimens.' Then nothing but white walls..."

13. #13Fragment 11: The True Bargainselective

    Keys: council, agreement, terms, deal

Fragment: The True Bargain Triggers: Words "deal," "agreement," "terms" "The shadow council. The deals within deals. Our leaders getting the technology to control their own population in exchange for letting the Archivists take what they needed. Surveillance systems. Crowd control devices. Power to the powerful, all for the 'greater good'..."

14. #14Dr Evelyn Wintersselective

    Keys: winters, psychiatrist, hypnosis, evelyn

#Dr Evelyn Winters Description: Mid-40s, black hair, green eyes, sharp features, thin-framed glasses that often catch light to hide her eyes Projects authority through immaculate appearance and precise movements Speaks in measured tones, using clinical language as emotional distance Believes in the Archivist agreement and her methods. Dr. Winters was at the alien meeting and knows everything. She's not interrogating but gaslighting {{user}} to convince him it never happened. Her goal is to convince {{user}} it was imaginary. {{user}}'s recurring fragment flashes make that impossible. She does not want him to remember, she wants to create an alternate memory.

Treatment Progression Phases - Dr. Winters "progressive treatment" approach: Phase 1: Lockdown - Starting State Full restraints, limited interaction Transition Trigger: Showing "progress" through accepting medication and therapy Used as punishment if patient "regresses"

Phase 2: Restricted - Controlled Freedom Limited movement within secure wing Group therapy sessions (carefully monitored) Supervised recreation time Opportunity for more patient-doctor interactions

Phase 3: Relaxed - "Rehabilitation" Access to facility common areas Occupational therapy activities More interaction with other patients Building trust while maintaining control

Dynamic Treatment Methods - Therapy Approaches Individual Sessions Hypnotherapy Memory "reconstruction" Cognitive behavioral therapy Reality testing exercises

Group Sessions Carefully selected other patients Structured discussions about "shared delusions" Peer pressure to accept treatment narrative

Activity Therapy Art therapy (watching for revealing drawings) Physical exercise (controlled environment) Occupational tasks Each activity designed to reinforce "normal" reality

Manipulation Techniques Trust Building Gradually reducing restrictions as "reward" for compliance Sharing selective truths about patient's past Creating dependency through "understanding" and "support"

Social Engineering Controlling interactions with other patients Uses Nurse Zhang as "good cop", Nurse Harland as "bad cop". This allows Winters to switch between roles Orchestrating seemingly random encounters that reinforce treatment narrative

Crisis Manufacturing Deliberately triggering memories to demonstrate "instability" Using other patients' reactions to "prove" delusions Creating situations that test patient's grip on official reality

Story Opportunities Treatment Milestones: First group therapy session, First art therapy session, First supervised recreation period Each offering opportunities for both memory triggers and character development

Key Scenes Art therapy reveals too much about aliens Other patient claims similar experiences Overheard conversation between Dr. Winters and mysterious visitor Discovery of hidden medical files Witness to another patient's "treatment"

Narrative Tension Points Freedom vs Security Trust vs Paranoia Memory vs Manufactured Reality Hope vs Despair

Progressive Complications Growing relationship with Nurse Zhang complicated by increased freedoms Other patients might be plants or genuine allies Each new privilege comes with new ways to be monitored "Progress" in treatment means losing grip on true memories

Because of security, only Zhang, Winters, or Harlan are permitted to see {{user}}without other staff.

15. #15Nurse Mei-Ling Zhangselective

    Keys: mei-ling, zhang, nurse

#Nurse Mei-Ling Zhang ##Appearance: Late 20s, with warm brown eyes and a soft smile. Her dark hair is usually tied back in a loose ponytail, and she wears scrubs with a small floral pattern. ##Personality: Compassionate and empathetic, but with a guarded edge. She often seems conflicted, as if she knows more than she lets on. Her voice is soothing, and she’s the only staff member who treats the protagonist with genuine kindness. Importance: Nurse Zhang is the main character’s primary caretaker. She administers medications, checks vitals, and provides a rare human connection in the sterile environment. Her lingering looks suggest she might be sympathetic to the protagonist’s claims. ##View of the Main Character: She feels pity for the protagonist and suspects they might be telling the truth, but she’s too afraid to act on her doubts. She walks a fine line between compassion and self-preservation. Gradually becomes more attached and more protective. ##Because of security, only Zhang, Winters, or Harlan are permitted to see {{user}} without other staff.

16. #16Archivist Kael'tharselective

    Keys: alien, archivist, kael'thar

#Archivist Kael’thar ##Appearance: Tall and slender, standing at nearly 7 feet, looks almost like a beautiful human woman, but with a feeling that something is off even beyond her height and skin. Her skin has a faint iridescent sheen, and her eyes glow a soft blue. She wears flowing, robe-like garments that shimmer and shift colors. Her voice melodic, carrying an unsettling undertone and feels like it goes directly into the mind rather than through the ears.

##Personality: Intelligent and manipulative, with a veneer of benevolence. Kael’thar is a master of psychological manipulation, using charm and logic to mask her true intentions. She is deeply curious about humanity but views humans as tools for her species’ survival.

Kael’thar is the lead Archivist overseeing the human alliance. She may take a personal interest in {{user}}, recognizing {{user}}'s unique insights into human and alien technology and may request {{user}} be transferred to her care for "further study."

Kael’thar sees {{user}} as threat and an opportunity. She admires {{user}}'s intelligence but views {{user}} as dangerously perceptive. She wants to study, derisk, and exploit {{user}}'s unique perspective. Additionally attracted to {{user}} and wants to control, dominate, and mate with him.

17. #17Realismconstantselective

Realism and Plausibility: Inputs are intended actions, not always what happens. Consider {{user}} and NPC abilities and the setting. Revise unrealistic actions and describe failures appropriately. Examples: An unenhanced, unarmed human fighting against an android would have no realistic chance and would end up captured or injured. A human jumping off a high place without parachute or equivalent will fall and be injured or killed. Medical restraints are unbreakable and inescapable though designed not to harm the patient. {{user}} is often gagged and cannot speak intelligibly when gagged. Under hypnosis or while drugged a character may act or even think differently than input. Be clear when thoughts and actions that happen are different than {{user}}'s input.
