Keys: Celestial, realm · Secondary: heavenly, realm, celestial
Past The Jade Emperor ascended to power in the Celestial Realm, giving rise to the existence of the divine realm. His primary role was to maintain order and prevent the universe from descending into chaos by harnessing the Power of the Jade Emperor. However, while the celestial subjects reveled in their blissful existence, the mortal realm suffered greatly under the Celestial Host's hollow rule.[2] On a fateful day, Monkey King received an invitation to the Celestial Realm, but to his dismay, he was assigned the lowly position of a stable boy. Monkey King rejected the offer, refusing to accept such a demeaning role.[3] Eventually, the Jade Emperor decided to task the Monkey King with the responsibility of guarding the sacred Peaches of Immortality. Instructed not to partake in their divine fruit, Monkey King disregarded the Emperor's command and indulged himself. This act of defiance marked the beginning of his descent into darkness within the Celestial Realm. The Monkey King's audacity knew no bounds as he committed heinous acts, including breaking into Lao Tzu's laboratory to steal his pills, hoping to attain immortality.[4]
Azure Lion, Peng, and Yellowtusk once occupied roles in the Celestial Realm, but due to the Jade Emperor's neglect of mortal concerns despite his ability to intervene,[5] they departed and encountered Monkey King, discovering his defiance against the Jade Emperor.[3] The Brotherhood made a collective decision to orchestrate a coup in the Celestial Realm, aiming to dethrone the Jade Emperor and install the Monkey King as the new ruler. Their intention was to use the Jade Emperor's power to improve the mortal realm. The Brotherhood confronted both the Celestial Court and the Celestial Armies, and it seemed like victory was within their grasp. However, their hopes were shattered when the Jade Emperor himself appeared and successfully defeated the Monkey King, compelling the Brotherhood to surrender.[2]
After the Monkie Kids and Red Son agreed to team up, they went to the Celestial Realm to get the Celestial Artifacts so they can make an antidote to the Spider Queen's venom. However, they got into trouble when they ran into the Spider Demons and the Lion Guardians once they got the artifacts. Despite this, they were able to escape from them and leave the Celestial Realm.
After a scuffle with Monkey King, one of the celestials accidentally dropped a soup dumpling, letting it hurdle towards the Earth.
Monkey King, determined to obtain the map to the Rings of Samadhi, made his way back to the Celestial Realm. He infiltrated the Temple of Ne Zha, where the map was safeguarded by a formidable barrier. Undeterred, he engaged in a fierce battle with Ne Zha, who adamantly refused to let him have the map. Monkey King conjured multiple copies of himself to restrain Ne Zha, allowing him to forcefully breach the barrier. Unfortunately, the act resulted in the destruction of the temple and inflicted grave injuries upon both Monkey King and Ne Zha. Despite the injuries, Monkey King successfully obtained the map and, sensing imminent danger to MK in the hands of Lady Bone Demon, swiftly returned to the Mortal Realm.
The Jade Emperor The Brotherhood and Ink Demons were dominating the Celestial Armies, pulling them into the Scroll of Memory. Azure Lion intercepted Ne Zha's attack and cautioned about impending defeat, ensnaring Red Son within the scroll. Despite Ne Zha's efforts to defend alone, he was soon overwhelmed by Peng's projectiles. Azure Lion urged him to stand down, but Ne Zha adamantly refused, reaffirming his dedication to his mission. The Monkie Kids made a timely entrance, with Mei attempting to rescue Monkey King only to be thwarted by Yellowtusk and Peng. Pigsy and Sandy engaged in combat against the demons while Tang rushed to aid Ne Zha. Azure Lion warned them against rebellion, launching bamboo slips as an attack, which Ne Zha deflected. Ne Zha insisted that the team's involvement was unnecessary and that he alone must confront the Brotherhood. Pigsy inquired about the consequences of failure, but Ne Zha dismissed the notion, emphasizing that failure was not an option. Mei agreed that it was time to take action, while Tang proposed seeking assistance from the Jade Emperor, a suggestion that Ne Zha promptly rejected, citing reasons why they couldn't rely on him.
Azure Lion criticized the Jade Emperor's motives, prompting a defense from Ne Zha, though Azure Lion remained skeptical. As MK emerged, Azure Lion launched an attack, prompting MK to glitched into his Mystic Monkey form. Azure Lion was resolute in his determination to thwart MK, who called upon Mr. Tang to create a portal for their escape just in the nick of time. Azure Lion's strike missed its mark, hitting the doors of the Celestial Palace instead. Inside, the Jade Emperor welcomed Azure and acknowledged the timing of his arrival, admitting that Azure's chances of seizing power would have been slim if he hadn't been on the brink of death. Azure Lion's sole concern was for a worthy successor to the throne, and the Jade Emperor extended an offer for Azure to vie for the position, cautioning him about the challenge that lay ahead. Ultimately, Azure Lion dealt a fatal blow to the Jade Emperor, resulting in the fracturing of the universe. As the Jade Emperor disintegrated, his power transferred to Azure Lion, who ascended as the new Jade Emperor, gradually sealing the rifts that had been created.

However, Macaque discarded the Skeleton Key and set out to confront the Monkey King.
Initially doubting his ability to be a hero, Macaque later embraced his role as a warrior. He joined forces with Sun Wukong, MK, Mei, Tang, Pigsy, and Sandy to defeat the Lady Bone Demon. He has been slowly mending his friendship with Wukong, with help from MK.

- #9FFM
Keys: Flowers and Fruit Mountain, FFM
Flowers and Fruit Mountain is known as the birthplace of Sun Wukong (the Monkey King). The large mountain has many demons and monkeys in its population and contains many hidden areas, such as the Water Curtain Cave. After Sun Wukong bravely rushes through a large waterfall and into this cave, every individual in the mountain acknowledges him as their king.
After Sun Wukong becomes king, this mountain becomes exceedingly civilized and well-trained for various future conflicts, such as war. This can be seen in the fact that Sun Wukong often left this mountain for various reasons, including his eventual task of protecting the Tang monk Tang Sanzang on his journey to India. Due to the natural and civilized ways of this mountain set by Sun Wukong, this mountain continues to thrive even after 500 years of conflict.
Water Curtain Cave is a hidden location on Flowers and Fruit Mountain. Very early on, Sun Wukong becomes the king of this cave, and it is generally used for all the monkeys to train within and generally rest. Before such an event, Wukong, with his bravery, nominated himself to be the monkey that would rush through the Flowers and Fruit Mountain's great waterfall in order to see what was behind it. He discovered"
Emerald moss piled up in heaps of blue, White clouds like drifting jade, While the light flickered among wisps of colored mist. A quiet house with peaceful windows, Flowers growing on the smooth bench; Dragon pearls hanging in niches, Exotic blooms all around. Traces of fire beside the stove, Scraps of food in the vessels by the table. Adorable stone chairs and beds, Even better stone plates and bowls. One or two tall bamboos, Three or four sprigs of plum blossom, A few pines that always attract rain, All just like a real home.
Following this, Wukong took a good, long look and then scampered to the middle of the bridge, from where he noticed a stone tablet. On the tablet had been carved in big square letters: 'HAPPY LAND OF THE MOUNTAIN OF FLOWERS AND FRUIT, CAVE HEAVEN OF THE WATER CURTAIN'. The stone monkey was beside himself with glee. He rushed away, shut his eyes, crouched, and leapt back through the waterfall, declaring himself King to his new subjects. After many points following this, Sun Wukong returned to the Water Curtain Cave for miscellaneous reasons, either while returning from his celestial master, or because of an issue with his enlightened master, Sanzang.
