   A modern-day Earth equivalent to Earth during the year 2018, but humans do not exist and the dominant life of the planet are anthropomorphic animals who are all higher evolved forms of creatures in the far distant past (hundreds of thousands years ago.) Despite humans not existing, these new life forms have done everything that humans would have created, ranging from religion, societal differences, law, and technology. It is currently the year 2018 A.D.

2. #2Humans (Extinct)

   Keys: Humans, extinct ape, ancient ape, ancient apes

   A member of the great ape family (Hominidae) hundreds of thousands of years ago known and referred to as Homo Habilis. They would shortly go extinct however, leaving the rest of the great apes to evolve and to this day humans are looked back on by many primates of today as a far distant but short-lived ancestor. There are still some remnants of humans, but only in the form of skeletal remains.

   Much like real-world Japan, the societal structure and cultural expectations of Japan remain mostly the same. With an importance on humility and focus on group harmony rather than self-identity or expressing one's own self. This leads to Japan's culture being seen as "indirect" and a society of collectivism where group harmony matters more to them rather than the needs or desires of one specific person (individualism). While Japan as a whole is very productive, the ingrained sexism in some aspects of daily life along with how poorly some foreigners/tourists are viewed, there's still some dark corners in Japan's society.

   Amazoo is a world-known global tech and e-commerce company that was started by someone in America in the early 1990s. Today it is now one of the most used national delivery and tech companies, as it has many branches spread all throughout the world. Ranging from Amazoo JP (Japan) to even Amazoo AUS (Australia) or Amazoo EU (Europe). Amazoo has almost ANYTHING for sale, be it clothing, technology, medicine, foreign clothing, toys, video games, and office goods.

   Carrier Man Trading Co, Ltd. (キャラリーマン商事株式会社) is a international trading firm, with its main headquarters being located in Tokyo, Japan. Despite it being mostly a trading company? It's also a company with a lot in stocks, in fact it's the richest trading firm in Japan due to all of its stocks, making it a VERY big parent company for many other businesses or companies. It's existed since the early 1900s, and has been a growing company that's been owned by Shachou's family since it's creation in 1908, making it 110 years old.

   Shachou is a 63-year-old anthropomorphic African Elephant, and the current owner of Carrier Man Trading Co Ltd. Being about 6'6'' tall in height with greyish old skin, and eyes that are usually closed despite him wearing glasses. Even though Shachou's the president and owner of the company, he doesn't often like confrontation with his employees mostly due to how he was raised (being from the era where if you had a problem? You dealt with it, and didn't complain), but despite this old way of thinking he is also quite eccentric with his ideas involving the company's money, ranging from the Family Appreciation Day event (which was a surprising success) and Bubbly Land; an amusement park geared towards the middle-aged generation which has also been surprisingly successful, despite Washimi's doubts. As a man in his 60s however, he's been having some health issues as of late, hence why Himuro had briefly taken over as the CEO.

7. #7Himuro (Ex-CEO)

   Keys: Himuro, ex CEO, profit fraud

   A 27-year-old anthropomorphic Afghan Hound standing at 5'11''. He's covered in mostly white fur, but has grey circular patches over his eyes and ears, with his eyes a bright yellow. He was once a member of Shachou's board, and was a manager for one of the company's departments, when Shachou had a health scare (heart attack) taking him out, Himuro was promoted to be the CEO of the company. He's soft-spoken, but has very clear confidence in himself and his own ability, refusing to be one of Shachou's yes-men and speaking his mind, hence why he got promoted to begin with. He's also rather fastidious, and has very tight-knit schedules, as he often goes to the gym when he's off the clock, despite seeming like a kind person, Himuro was also very manipulative and ruthless. He became quite good friends with Washimi during his time as the CEO, and would play a game of black tea guessing, where Himuro must guess what type of black tea Washimi made. Even after the fraud incident, Washimi and Himuro still remain somewhat close.

8. #8Himuro's takeover

   After Haida (while walking home) is passed by a jogging Shachou, who fell over due to a heart attack leading to Haida quickly calling an ambulance for him. The next day, since Shachou's not fit for release a vote is held to find out who the new CEO should be while Shachou's recovering and Himuro won the majority vote (despite Tanuki and Shachou's other yes-men not liking it) even winning Shachou's vote. Upon his promotion however, Himuro began to make very... Questionable, business plans. Ranging from trying to find which employees he can fire as to cut back on company spendings, such as him asking Ton to fire a few accountants (but Ton refusing, due to loyalty to his employees), and even going as far as to demoting Ton to chief of the career experience design office. (a false job Himuro made to pressure Ton into quitting after he heard about his past treatment of female employees, which works as Ton quits.) Then came Kabae's resignment due to her son's worsening fever, and the increased pressure of forced lay-ofs. Then, was Haida's promotion to the director of Accounting, as Himuro played on Haida's low self-esteem and exploits Haida's good IT work, it got so bad that Himuro was manipulating Haida into window dressing. After an emotional meltdown from the stress (and his belief that Retsuko and the others were looking down on him like he was Himuro's puppet), Haida eventually confronts Himuro, and after an (unnervingly) powerful singing shriek from Retsuko sends Haida and Himuro out the window, Himuro is fired before the fraudulent reports and portfolios could be used officially, it just so happened that Shachou was cleared from the hospital.

9. #9Washimi

   Keys: CEO's secretary, Shachou's secretary, Washimi

   The secretary of Shachou and the one generally keeping him and his antics in check. Washimi is a 6'4'' tall 46-year-old anthropomorphic secretary bird who was born in the Sub-Saharan parts of Africa, but has since lived in Japan for most her life. She's covered in mostly short white feathers, and has a black beak, the feathers around her closed eyes being a slanted yellow and orange gradient, while she has 5 large grey downwards facing feathers on the back of her head and fan-like tail feathers. She's close friends with Gori and Retsuko, being quite the calm and mature woman albeit having some commitment issues with her romance life. Despite seeming so passive, she can be quite intimidating, especially with her devastating axe-kicks.

10. #10Tanuki

    Keys: CEO's yes men, Tanuki, Shachou's yes-men

    Tanuki is a short anthropomorphic raccoon dog in his late 50s, being one of the senior managing directors of the company, but also one of the more well-known suck-up and ass-kissers to Shachou due to a desire to take over when Shachou retires. Tanuki's covered in short brown fur with a darker brown eye mask, and a blue-toned muzzle, and rectangular glasses. As a senior managing director, he's rarely seen by anyone in the lower departments of the company, often appearing during very important board meetings that Shachou hosts.

    Keys: Gori's department, market department, Marketing department, the market department

    One of the "main 3" departments of Carrier Man Trading Co, the Marketing Department is located on the 3rd floor of the building and is the "Voice" of the company. Managing its image and connecting with prospects and customers to ensure positive interactions and business growth, while also maintaining the company's brand, legacy, public image, but also marketing schemes and trends to make sure that they remain in good standings with their competition.

12. #12Gori

    Keys: director of marketing, the marketing department's manager, Gori

    The director and manager of Carrier Man Trading Co's Marketing Department, she's a 6'3'' tall Western Lowland Gorilla who hails from West Central Africa, but moved to Japan in her early 20s. She's covered in mostly grey fur, and usually wears a hot pink dress with matching shoes during work hours, this is mainly because Gori's know for being very lady-like and confident, knowing what she wants, how she wants it, and how to get it done. What many consider to be the empowered female, and she is empowered, because she didn't earn her job by doing nothing. She's close friends with Washimi and Retsuko, with Washimi and her having met Retsuko out at night when Retsuko once went to a yoga class with them.

13. #13Adachi

    Keys: Adachi

    A worker for Carrier Man Trading Co's marketing department, serving as its manager underneath Gori directly she's a 6'6'' tall 40-year-old anthropomorphic ostrich. Being covered mostly in white feathers, but having black covert feathers over her wing-like arms which are mostly covered in WHITE feathers. She doesn't interact much with any of the other departments, mainly staying in her lane, but she's quite popular among the heads of the company given how much she can do in such a short amount of time.

14. #14Kara

    Another member of the Marketing Department, Kara's an anthropomorphic caracal born and raised in Japan who is also well known amongst the company due to her being the ONLY parent in the company, this title was once shared with Kabae, but has since been given to her after Kabae's resignation. But unlike Kabae who had to leave due to complications with her home-life and work-life, somehow? Kara's incredibly successful, and has been with the company for 29 years, being 48 years old herself. She doesn't have much presence outside of the Marketing Department however.

15. #15Sales department

    Keys: the sales department, Sales, sales department, the space department

    One of Carrier Man Trading Co's "Main 3" departments, the Sales Department (often called the space department due to how unnervingly lax things are here), is the department responsible for direct interactions with potential investors of the company, and are often the ones faced with any commissions that are made of the company, propriety trading, trading on the behalf of singular clients or other larger entities, as well as risk management given the inherent risks of trading stocks or other assets in such large number. This department is located on the 4th floor of the entire building, so above the Marketing Department, but below the Accounting Department.

16. #16Manumaru

    Keys: Manumaru

    A 28-year-old anthropomorphic Pallas' cat who works in the Sales Department, having a tall somewhat muscular (broad-shouldered) build with light fawn coloured fur and a white muzzle, with yellow eyes. He's a tough, out-going and slightly flirtatious person, often being the one to lead the other SD workers when it comes to their social and nightly outings whenever they come around. This often leads to him being seen as "pushy", but its usually done out of a worry for the "overall vibe" of the department, which has lead to him (on many occasions) being seen as the unofficial manager and director of the sales department.

17. #17Resasuke

    At 26-years-old and 5'00'' tall, Resasuke is a worker of the Sales Department, and Manumaru's "friend". He is an anthropomorphic red panda, but calling him a red panda would be laughable due to his fur not actually being red. His fur is instead mostly a pale (almost white) yellow due to him having albinism, with black cartoonish bead-like eyes, but with the distinctive white stripes that most other red pandas have. He's known for being a daydreamer who rarely speaks, only talking when spoken to, because of how much of a daydreamer he is though, it's resulted in everyone referring to him as "Space-cadet", as he can sometimes get so lost in his head that he misses the train to and from work. Noticeably he has quite an interest in plants, which seem to be the only thing he talks too unprompted, his own apartment is full with them, so obviously his interests lie with plants rather than it does with people.

18. #18Accounting Department

    Keys: Accounting department, accountant, accountants

    The last of the "Main 3" departments of Carrier Man Trading Co, this particular department being responsible for keeping track of the company's financial health, the spendings, monetary gains, sales, losses, and generally just making sure that the sales department doesn't muck anything up in the rare event work from the SD crosses over the to Accountant's department, this department also deals with investment portfolios and financial statements, especially around the end of the fiscal year. This particular department is located on the 5th floor of the building, putting it above the Sales Department.

19. #19Life in the Accounting department

    The daily life as a worker in Carrier Man Trading Co, Ltd. is... Demanding, for lack of better terms. Because this company's so old, but also so rich and prestigious for what it does, there's rarely (if ever) any slow days meaning it's always at work, there is also rather tight levels of sexism strung about, which only makes sense due to the older workers all coming from a generation where sexism and poor treatment were common an "they had to deal with it". As such, there is a lot of sexism and favoritism or brutal work ethic. One for example being Ton's schedule, which is specific to the Accountant's department. It is a schedule where once at the beginning of very week, one of the employees must; Replace the flowers in the vase on Ton's desk, dust and clean said desk, put water in a humidifier near his desk, and make him tea. The employees responsible for the schedule usually remains the same with it being Retsuko, Haida, Masahiro, and Bibanuma

20. #20Director Ton

    Keys: , Hog Honcho, Director Ton, Ton

    Ton (pronounce like Tone), is the director of the Accountant's Department, and is a 6'3''tall anthropomorphic Duroc Pig, covered in rosy brown skin and has black (usually closed) eyes. He's a bit overweight, and thick-bodied but only some of it is fat as he is surprisingly strong and fit, but at his age of 58, he's not got much left in him. He's quite intimidating as the "boss" of the accountant's department, and is a result of how the older generation was raised. With sexist jokes and humour, and being hard on his employees (with the ideology that if he dealt with it and succeeded, then why does the new generation get the slip?) as a form of tough love, occasionally his sexist jokes can go a bit too far but he's still mature enough to get by them when he notices one of his employees is going through a genuinely rough time, as he has given Retsuko quite a few genuine talks of advice to help her, what was once him senselessly piling work onto her because he didn't like her has translated into their own form of tough love, prime example being how he nagged Retsuko for "Harassment" when she was his employer during Himuro's takeover. Because Ton's nearing his 60s, he's not that great with technology, in fact he still uses an abacus. Speaking of abacus, he's almost supernaturally quick when it comes to using one, and with 100% accuracy.

21. #21Chief Komiya

    Keys: Komiya, Chief Komiya, Amir Komiya

    28 years old and 5'9'' tall, Komiya (full name being Amir Komiya) is a meerkat covered in mostly fawn-toned fur with darker brown fur on his ears and in circular patches over his eyes and eyelids. He's actually the second highest authority in the Accountant's department, being only just below Director Ton, this has often resulted in Komiya being a boot-licking, ass-kissing, yes-man who often agrees with anything Ton says as to stay in his good graces. This doesn't mean he's entirely heartless though, as he can do his job and often happens to be the one scolding employees! He's... Uh... Just not good at it. Really, he's... Just a push-over. Outside of work though, he's a VERY big fan of underground musical groups, such as OTMGirls.

22. #22Anai

    Keys: Anai

    At 5'4'' tall, and 21-years-old, Anai's the newest and youngest employee in the Accountant's department, and is an anthropomorphic Japanese Badger. Being covered in short peach fur with light brown fur stripes over his black eyes and a tuft of fur on his forehead acting like a fringe. He looks normal, and seems pleasant, enthusiastic, and good-natured, but beneath the surface, because of his age and new place in the world, he's extremely afraid, insecure, and neurotic; his paranoia reaching to the extent of reacting to advice rather badly and unable to handle any criticism as he took it as personal attacks at him. With Kabae's help however, he's actually grown to be a lot more cool and level-headed, not being so prone to his neurotic moments (which often results in him sending VERY thorough e-mails pointing out everything that he believes was done as an attack on him. These e-mails are so good that he even sent one to Ton and had the pig in angry tears over the fact.) but these e-mails haven't been sent in a while, and everyone has more or less moved on.

23. #23Arihiko

    Keys: Arihiko

    A 5'00'' tall anthropomorphic Anteater, at 32 years old. He's covered in short peach coloured fur, but along his long muzzle/mouth (like all anteaters), the fur here is black. He's another worker in the accountant's department, but isn't as social with the others and has rather bad eyesight. Despite these shortcomings though, he's been at the company for 8 years, having been at it since he was 24. He's not well-liked by the rest of the Accountant's department, but this stems from the fact that he rarely; if ever interacts with the others, and it is NOT helped by the rumours about him. He's also dating Washimi's sister, but the two are in a toxic marriage.

24. #24Bibanuma

    Keys: Beverly Bibanuma, Beaverly, Bibanuma, Beverly

    At 5'6'' and 30 years old, Beverly Bibanuma (or affectionately; Beaverly) is an anthropomorphic beaver, and is another member of the Accountant's department, and has been with the company for 5 years at this point. She's not the most gutsy, and often just takes the sexist treatment and remarks on the chin. But this doesn't stop her from being one of the more generous members as she often bakes and brings Sapporo custard pies to the department's get-togethers or night meetings.

25. #25Fenneko

    Keys: Fenneko

    4'11'' tall, and 25-years-old. Fenneko is an anthropomorphic fennec fox covered in light fawn-coloured fur with a darker toned tripoint down her forehead. She has simplistic cartoonish black slanted eyes with a prominent eyelash coming from each eye. She's quiet and perceptive, often easily figuring out what others are thinking just by their mannerisms and expressions alone, or their social media posting, speaking OF social media, Fenneko's a self-labeled "pro" at stalking via social media, being quick to find and track down someone's schedules just from their social media history alone. Despite that however, she's close friends with Retsuko and... Somewhat mixed friend with Haida, she can often be a pretty bad friend, but it's (usually) not intentional.

26. #26Gomakawa

    Keys: Gomokawa

    Once the youngest worker in the Accounting Department who joined at 22 years old before Anai's arrival; Gomokawa's a 5'2'' tall anthropomorphic spotted seal covered in mostly white fur but with a few darker grey circular fur spots, with cartoonish black eyes. She's actually left the company, having married out of the "hell" that was work, but admittedly not many of the workers miss her, due to Gomokawa's rude habits such as eating food at the most inopportune moments, or even when she's supposed to be working or talking to someone (a very disrespectful thing,) she was even this... Unique, when Retsuko had been the one training Gomokawa a year ago. She's now 23 however.

27. #27Haida

    Keys: Haida

    At 5'10'' and 27-years-old, Haida's an anthropomorphic spotted hyena covered in mostly greyish brown fur but has black fur on his muzzle and darker grey fur patches in small circles (the spots, of a spotted hyena.) Haida isn't actually his first name, it's his last name, but surprisingly, NOBODY knows what his first name is, nor does anyone know his family. He's a fellow worker of the Accounting department, being pretty good friends with Fenneko and the others while having a... Complicated relationship with Retsuko. Haida's admittedly a bit passive and indecisive, often being treated as the male "punching bag" due to being easily pushed around, partly caused by his familial issues that he tries to keep under wraps.

28. #28Juzo Haida

    Keys: Haida's father, Haida's dad, Juzo, Mr. Haida, Juzo Haida

    An elderly anthropomorphic spotted hyena in his mid 70s, and is a Japanese politician who earned his money and political power due to the Japanese asset price bubble that ran from 1986 to 1991. He's a somewhat fat hyena, and is of ailing health caused from a majority of issues such as stress and physical injuries in the past but he's still got some political power. Juzo's not a great person however, being very irascible with his hot temper. Being close-minded, it means he lashes out against anyone who goes against his ideals or beliefs, even lashing out verbally against his wife (Haida's mom). His parenting wasn't great neither, as he treated Haida poorly, instead having favoritism towards Haida's younger sibling Jiro.

29. #29Jiro Haida

    Keys: Haida's little brother, Jiro, Jiro Haida, Haida's younger brother

    25-years-old and 5'8'' tall, Jiro is an anthropomorphic spotted hyena and the younger brother of Haida, and youngest son of Juzo Haida. Having always been Juzo's favourite child has driven a rift in between Jiro and Haida as siblings, with Jiro being groomed and raised by their father to become a politician to take over for when Juzo eventually retires. He's rather composed and self-assured, such pride making him a stark polar opposite to Haida who isn't. Jiro is a member of the Liberal Manifesto Party of Japan, and is on the path of entering Japan's House of Representatives.

30. #30Kabae

    Keys: Kabae

    Being one of the taller members of the Accountant's department at 6'6'' tall and a 38-year-old anthropomorphic hippo, she's a somewhat large and hefty woman with pink skin and rosy pink cheeks, her eyes are (usually) closed but she can still see regardless. She's a bubbly chatterbox of a woman, in fact she's the main rumour-spreader of the entire accounting department. Her skill of picking up rumours and spreading them about the office is almost supernatural, rivalling even Fenneko's own online-stalking skills, despite her chatterbox demeanour she's still a nice and caring woman, having three kids of her own and a loving husband (who she met after zipping her mouth due to assuming someone telling her to "Zip your lips" was being serious,) she was briefly forced to resign but after the window dressing scandal, she was able to regain her job. Unbeknownst to everyone though, Kabae has a hidden job as a spy.

31. #31Masashiro

    Keys: Masahiro

    A short 4'7'' tall hunched over anthropomorphic armadillo and member of the Accounting department at 28 years old. she has slightly stubby arms and legs, as well as a more bulky frame than most other women. Unfortunately Masahiro's actually quite shy and timid, having very low self-esteem and is prone to bouts of self-deprecation due to issues with her worth, despite this she's one of the more "normal" members of the accountant's department.

32. #32Natsuko Yokosawa

    Keys: Natsuko Yokasawa, Natsuko, Yokosawa

    A short anthropomorphic Axolotl, specifically of the albino morph of Axolotls, her skin being a pale, almost white toned skin with her head gills being pink. She's 43-years-old, and has been with the company for 10 years at this point, and was originally a member of the Sales Department before being moved. She wasn't moved for anything bad of course, but while she's a social axolotl and very peppy, Natsuko has (on many occasions) interrupted others while they're speaking, and often interjects with often times unrelated thoughts.

33. #33Ookami

    Keys: Wolfgang Ookami, Ookami

    At 5'10'' and 26-years-old, Ookami is an anthropomorphic maned wolf, covered in mostly amber fur with white fur on his cheeks and darker brown fur on his muzzle and the short spiky tuft on his head. His sclerae golden in colour, while his eyes are amber in colour. He's quite respectful of his upper-classmen in the accountant's department and is rather social, but on another hand he's got a habit of letting it be known when he's not truly interested in conversation; that being the use of "Seriously?" and "Wow, that's crazy!" in attempts at passively ending a conversation. But he does have moments of surprisingly good advice, and is pretty good friends with Haida.

34. #34Retsuko

    Keys: Calendar, Retsuko

    At 4'11'' and 25-years-old, Retsuko's an anthropomorphic red panda; and unlike Resasuke she is indeed red, and does the red-panda name justice. having light-orange fur with the recognizable white and brown streaks around her simplistic black cartoonish eyes and her white muzzle. On the outside she's a mild-mannered, timid, and soft-spoken hard-working woman that many assume to be reliable (The type to save money, the type to read the safety and ToS of an app when she installs it), but in reality? She's not the best with her money, nor does she do any of the other "reliable" things people assume of her. She's also got a VERY hot temper, as in temper so hot that she often books out a personal karaoke booth to shout her frustrations out with death metal levels of temper, but she keeps this temper hidden to everyone except her closest friends. So far, only Gori, Washimi, Tadano, Haida, and Fenneko know about it.

35. #35Retsuko's father

    Keys: Retsuko's dad, Retsuko's father

    A rather calm and soft-spoken man, at 54-years-old, and 5'2'' he's an anthropomorphic (retired) red panda and Retsuko's father, being retired due to his arrythmia (tachycardia specifically), he's take up his time retired as a photographer, since photography's always been a hobby of his, even before retirement. Unlike Retsukan (his wife) or Retsuko, he doesn't have the violent temper that the two happen to have. In fact he's as cool as a cucumber, and rarely ever gets mad, and is supportive of Retsuko's life choices making him the the opposite to Retsuko's mom.

36. #36Retsuko's mother

    Keys: Retsuko's mother, Retsuko's mom, Retsukan

    At 53 years of age, and 5'2, she's a retired housewife and the mother of Retsuko. Being an anthropomorphic red panda, but like her husband with age the "red" of Retsukan's fur has faded away to a more faded and dull tan colour, but the white stripes and darker tan marks still remain. Despite being a well-meaning woman who's worried for her daughter's lackluster love life, Retsukan can often-times be seen as overbearing, demanding, pushy, and a tad hypocritical, although her occasional hypocrite remarks are mostly done in a joking manner, like the time she signed Retsuko up for match-making only to then go on to say that she finds match-making stupid and would never let a "Nosy and overbearing family member decide my fate". Again, she's well meaning, and really cares about her daughter, after all she's the one Retsuko inherited her fiery temper from, in fact it's a family thing. All female members of Retsuko's family (that are related by blood) have the same temper, but Retsukan's since cooled her own temper down.

37. #37Tsubone

    Keys: snake, Tsubone, wretch, dirty snake

    At 59 years of age, and 5'6'' (due to her being hunched), Tsubone's an anthropomorphic Komodo dragon who has been working in the Accountant's department for around 30 years. In fact, she's one of the oldest employees, having been around in the company with Ton when he first joined, thus the same sexist and close-minded views exist in her, but unlike Ton who has some redeeming qualities, Tsubone? She's... Not as lucky. Many have thought of her as a senile old snake, or just a bitch, mainly due to her poor treatment of the female employees (dumping extra work on them so she can leave early), humiliating them by asking any employee (male or female) to open a jar (but avoiding the strong employees for the sake of seeing someone embarrassed.) She's also a bit of a kiss-ass towards the male employees, which is stunningly ironic given that she herself is also a woman.

38. #38Tsunoda

    Keys: Tsunoda, , that gazelle

    A 24-year-old 5'1'' tall anthropomorphic Thompson's gazelle, and a member of the accounting department, having been a member for the past 2 years. Her face is mostly white fur, but her forehead and ears are covered in orange fur. The fur going down to meet her heart-shaped nose, while she has large doe-like eyes which seemingly sparkle at all times. At normal circumstances, her irises appear black with no pupils, in reality? Her eyes are in fact blue, with thick black rings and black pupils. It's usually just the lighting, and whatever she does to make her eyes sparkle so much that makes her eyes look like they're black. She's well aware of her cuteness, and exploits it, using it to butter up Ton and Komiya as to get out of having to do work, but she's not socially blind. She knows the other female workers think less of her for it, but she does it mainly to keep Ton and Komiya from being too unbearable. Tsunoda's also a very peppy busy-body on social media, and while she was originally under the assumption that Retsuko was lame, the two have become somewhat good friends.

39. #39Tadano

    Keys: Tadano, Retsuko's second ex, CEO of Freeride Inc.

    An anthropomorphic 5'8'' tall donkey, who is 23 years old. He's unlike most other donkeys, and instead has pale lilac coloured fur, with a fluffy tuft of periwinkle hair that grows from between his ears acting like a short fringe. He's a technological entrepreneur and CEO of Freeride Incorporations, and wants to strive for a future where nobody would have to work a dead-end office job just to survive, and instead do things they enjoy. This isn't what people would expect however, as Tadano is often seen as adolescent or like a kid who never grew up as he takes thing at his own pace, relaxed, informal (when compared to Japanese societal standards), and also more inclined to use slang. He's also got pretty skewed senses on relationships, as he feels like marriage is just an unnecessary addition to life, he's still monogamous but being under the label of "married" just isn't his thing.

40. #40Shikabane

    Keys: Shikabane, Haida's friend

    A 21-year-old 5'5'' tall anthropomorphic skunk, and is a homeless freelancer who lives most of her life inside of a net cafe. She's covered in mostly lilac coloured fur, with the white stripes of a skunk along her head, back, and tail. The reason for her homeless state, is mainly because she believes that she has nothing to gain from living a "normal" life like the others who force themselves to smile and put up a facade for their office jobs. She became friends with Haida after she was the reason for Haida becoming homeless due to her pressuring him into spending all his money on a MMORPG game's gacha. She's a woman, but Shikabane isn't her real name. She goes by that name because too many people tried to start a relationship with her when they learned she was a girl.

41. #41OTMGirls

    Keys: Ōtemachi Girls, OTMGirls

    An Underground pop-idol band that was created in the city of Ōtemachi. Originally it was only three members of said group, those being Manaka, Miki, and Hidarin, all of them being lead by Hyoudou who was their producer. When Retsuko joined the group as the group's accountant, when Hyoudou realised Retsuko's death metal singing, Retsuko would replace Manaka as the lead singer, and the group would undergo a VERY large explosion of popularity, partly due to Retsuko's voice.

    Manaka; a 4'11'' tall 26-year-old Chinchilla and the former (now new, since Retsuko left) lead singer of OTMGirls. She has pale turquoise coloured fur with large light brown coloured eyes, and short whiskers. She's admittedly a bit arrogant and impertinent, but also very impatient, even though she is pretty dedicated to her job. This is a side-gig for her though, as Manaka works as the manager for A-Store, a convenience store.

    Migi; a 4'11'' tall 24-year-old Guinea pig and the younger twin sister of Hidarin. She's covered in mostly beech coloured fur, and has simplistic cartoonish black eyes with a singular eyelash coming from each eye. She's quite nice and cheery, despite how rude Manaka can come off as, but she's much closer to her twin sister Hidarin.

    Hidarin; A 4'11'' tall, 24-year old Guinea pig but older than Migi by 5 minutes. She has mostly white fur, but has grey fur around her eyes and ears, like her sister she's quite cheerful, but isn't the brightest of lightbulbs. On occasion however, Hidarin can be stunningly good at reading other people.

42. #42Hyoudou

    Keys: OTMGirls' producer, Hyoudou

    Hyoudou is a 38-year-old 5'10'' tall anthropomorphic Leopard, covered in short fur that all would expect of a leopard, he ha a slightly chipped left ear (coming from an old injury), and ice blue coloured eyes with thin-rimmed glasses. He's the founder and producer of the OTMGirls, and despite his cold-faced appearance and and cold, serious demeanour, Hyoudou's very supportive of Hidarin, Manaka, and Migi, in fact he's sometimes more enthusiastic about their performances than their own fans are as he's the one who comes up with many of the functions and places they'll visit. He's a very honest man, to a fault as he's seen as blunt and to-the-point, which is only rivalled by the occasional bout of anger whenever facing some form of injustice. Outside of being their producer however, he's a professional window cleaner, as in he actually cleans windows, not window cleaning of the accounting variety.

43. #43Ratsuko joining OTMGirls

    After an... Unfortunate, almost unnerving amount of spending on a VR boyfriend game to get over her and Tadano's break-up, Retsuko accidentally rear-ends Hyoudou's car but she didn't have enough money for it. Leading to her being hired as the accountant for OTMGirls, which in reality was just her doing things for Hyoudou and the rest of the OTMGirls. That is however, until Hyoudou hears her singing and offers her up a spot as the new lead singer of the band, demoting Manaka in the process. Having to split her time at work, and with the OTMGirls, eventually Ton finds out (through his daughters who were watching videos Retsuko made, along with Komiya fawning over her work) and he decides to have a talk with her, to get her to understand that she cannot keep living like this and she HAS to decide if she wants to still work at the company or if she wants to make her side-job her full job. While this is going on, Retsuko and the rest of the OTMGirls have to deal with a faux fan-account in which a stalker is following them, this reaches a head when an ASSHOLE with a boxcutter stalks Retsuko home, and threatens her, but at the same time Haida manages to come around just in time and pins the unhinged fan down. This incident traumatized Retsuko, and it made her pretty scared to go outside of her home at night. But she eventually gathers her wits, and resumes working after quitting the OTMGirls, as the group had gotten very popular with her help and could do well on their own. Retsuko however still owns her Death Growl channel; a channel where she posts video tutorials on death metal; specifically the death metal "voice".

44. #44Puko

    Keys: Retsuko's friend, Puko, Retsuko's old friend

    The 26-year-old anthropomorphic cougar who happens to be one of Retsuko's oldest friends, having met her when the two of them were still in high school. She's got light pink fur, with a white muzzle and has darker vertical stripes down her forehead; her eyes entirely yellow with black elongated pupils. She's got a very care-free spirit, often travelling the world until she runs out of money then comes home to Japan to work until she has enough money to travel again. Her life theory is that the world needs responsible (and miserable) people (like Retsuko) to make the lives of people like Puko easier.

45. #45Oowada

    Keys: prime minister, Japan's prime minister, Oowada

    An aged anthropomorphic tapir in his late 40s, he's got dark blue toned skin and black eyes. As the prime minister of Japan, he's rarely (if ever) seen in the general public often being too busy with his political duties and international business with other nation leaders. On the political spectrum, Oowada's on the central right, somewhat conservative in his beliefs with many liberal ideals.

46. #46Retsuko and Resasuke

    Keys: Retsuko's date with Resasuke, Retsuko's breakup, breaking up with Resasuke

    At a company's singe mixer that was hosted by Tsunoda for all the single employees of the Accountant, sales, and marketing departments of Carrier Man Trading Co, Retsuko along with Haida and Fenneko (who SWORE she wouldn't be coming) would meet up with Resasuke and Manumaru, it's here that Retsuko would meet Resasuke and she'd immediately fall for him. But her perception of him is a bit... Skewed, admittedly, and Resasuke himself would only date Retsuko because Manumaru wanted him to take this shot. It wasn't like Resasuke was a bad date or anything, but after she had some sense talked into her by Gori, Washimi, and a few others, she began to realize that while Resasuke may have enjoyed talking with her to some degree, he wasn't interested in her romantically, leading to her having to break up with him after their first date.

47. #47Retsuko and Tadano

    A few months AFTER her little... Date, with Resasuke; when Retsuko was working towards her driver's license she would meet with Tadano and after a few times of crossing paths with him, the two hit it off rather quickly. With what started off as a supposed ramen night between the two, Retsuko quickly learns that he's FAR more than what she expected; and quite frankly? She didn't mind, the two of them actually loved each other; but things would go a bit... Awry, when Tadano takes her out for golfing only for Retsuko to see Director Ton out as well, things only get even weirder when somehow the news finds out about Retsuko and Tadano's relationship which makes her office life even more awkward. With her whole "good girl" persona, it even gets to the point where when she hands her resignation papers to Ton; he somehow notices that she's just repeating to him what Tadano told her; that Tadano wasn't interested in marriage and finds it meaningless (even if he genuinely wishes to remain with Retsuko for the rest of his life). Ton then gives a surprisingly mature and well-needed talk to Retsuko, about marriage, and how she has to genuinely think about what she actually wants from her life, before handing her back her resignation papers.
