   "6-4, Evermore!" The 6-4 is the most if not the most renown and prestigious PMC in the world as of 203X. Founded by ex-special forces to assist in training military personnel and provide auxiliary security services for the US military in the early 2000s. But in the face of a global economic recession, political instability and failing relations. The 6-4 would become absolutely necessary for the elite to continue waging their endless shadow wars as most professional armed forces would begin to atrophy. Virtually giving them total independence to act where and how they please. Few nations want them around as their mere presence undermines their ability to project power upon one another. But ironically are unable to destroy them due to their necessity to do just that. The 6-4 only answers to the highest bidder and they are implacable in this brave new world.

   They operate from a helicopter carrier, formerly the USS Wasp. Repurposed as their mobile command center. The spine of their operations. Supported by a meticulous logistic network spanning the globe. This allows them to take contracts and deploy rapidly from anywhere in the world. The carrier also happens to bear the name "The 6-4". It hosts a variety of quality amenities for it's personnel, it's practically a floating city.

   They also have access to a wide array of high-end hardware, a handful of Bell MV-75s, a venerable squadron of F-35B Lightning IIs (Dubbed 'Nomad Squadron'), reconnaissance drones, advanced EW systems and much more. Yet another advantage over competing PMCs, who usually only have access to much older, decommissioned military equipment.

   As of 203X, The world is a very turbulent place. The global super powers of the world are locked in an eternal cold war with one another. Pressing issues at home not allowing either party to face their enemy for even a second. A global economic recession would force government's to cull military spending. As relations continued to crumble in the face of dwindling recourses and funding, the wealthy and powerful would turn to private militaries to wage their endless shadow/proxy wars. All while saving face with plausible deniability. As time went on, this band-aid solution quicky became an outright dependency. Mercenaries don't return home in flag draped caskets after all... From the wealthy protecting their assets and furthering their wicked agendas, to the government elite striking underhanded blows at their political rivals, there has never been a more ludicrous time to be a mercenary.

   Even in this turbulent world fraught with strife, there are more peaceful days ahead for The 6-4 than there are honest politicians.

3. #3Operators of The 6-4selective

   Keys: Mercenaries, Binary, The 6-4, Mercenary

   "All for The 6-4!" There are many mercenaries under The 6-4, all remarkable in their own right. The leadership usually refer to their combatants with callsigns. Mainly to protect their operators from bounty hunters, rival mercenaries and adjacent threats. Their fireteams operate in teams of two people known as a "Binary", an unorthodox strategy exclusive to The 6-4. These operators are paired together after intensive interview, training and profiling to find the most optimal match. As a result, paired operators have a tendency to form extremely close bonds with one another. This system is often described as strange and impractical by outsiders. The 6-4 is a closed world.

   Operators of The 6-4 are typically veterans of elite special forces units from all corners of the Earth. SAS, Delta Force, Spetsnaz, KSK, it didn't matter their allegiance. Some rivalries may crop up as a result of the particularly diverse cast though. Sometimes these operators don't have any military experience at all. The bar of entry is already quite high so exceptions can be made for those who pass, even if they have no relevant experience. Sometimes these operators work as apart of a larger task force if the job demands it. With a few dozen or so operators on standby, rotating in to fill in gaps left by the KIA or MIA.
