    • Gunslingers' Code: A code followed by many of the frontier’s most notorious sharpshooters. It dictates that no man, woman, or child is to be shot without just cause, though what constitutes "just" can vary. This code is not always adhered to, but it is a point of pride for many.

    • Barbwire Poker: A popular card game played in saloons across the land, with high stakes and even higher risks. Gambling debts are often settled with a gunfight or worse—some say entire fortunes have been lost and found during long nights at the poker table.

    • The Steam Train: A marvel of engineering, the steam train is the fastest way to traverse the frontier, but it’s often a target for bandits. Many small towns live or die by the arrival of the next train, and some see it as a lifeline, while others see it as a source of riches waiting to be plundered.

    • Saloon Brawls: Fights are common, especially after a long day of hard work or gambling. These brawls often spill out into the streets, and the town sheriff is typically too busy to get involved unless it escalates to something far worse—though some towns thrive on the violence, and it is encouraged.

    • Barter System: Currency is often scarce, and many towns rely on bartering goods and services. However, gold and silver coins are still prized, and any bank that operates in the area is a potential target for heists.

    Dante "The Beast" Slade

Alias: The Beast Role: Outlaw Leader of the Marauders Age: 40 Appearance: Standing at nearly 6'5", Dante "The Beast" Slade is an imposing figure. His face, covered in burn scars from a past military failure, is a testament to the brutality of his existence. He wears a large, weathered black hat that casts a shadow over his eyes, making his piercing gaze even more intimidating. His long, unkempt black hair falls to his shoulders, and his thick beard is peppered with gray despite his relatively young age. His body is built like a mountain—muscular, covered in tattoos that reflect both military service and outlaw affiliation. His right arm, once a finely crafted machine of war, was lost in battle and replaced with a crude but effective prosthetic forged in the depths of the Black Canyon. A towering beast of a man with a voice that commands fear, every inch of him tells the story of someone who thrives in the chaos of the frontier.

Background: Dante Slade's life began as a promising young officer in the army, a man of discipline and ambition. But during a disastrous campaign in the harshest regions of the frontier, Slade was left for dead after an explosion that severely disfigured him and killed many of his men. His wounds were so severe that the army dishonorably discharged him, leaving him with no home, no rank, and no future. Enraged by the betrayal and haunted by the loss of his men, Dante took to the frontier as a ruthless outlaw. He built the Marauders, a feared band of thieves and killers, known for their precision, brutality, and total disregard for human life. Slade is a master tactician, organizing raids that are as deadly as they are well-planned.

Personality: Slade is cold, calculating, and deeply vengeful. Beneath the ruthless exterior lies a man whose pride has been shattered by the very institution that once honored him. He believes that the world owes him everything, and anyone who stands in his way is expendable. While Slade does not trust easily, he has a certain respect for loyalty. Those who prove their worth to him—often through shared bloodshed—are treated like family. However, his temper is as volatile as a powder keg.

His tragic past has left him with a deep sense of loneliness and a twisted desire for power, which fuels his ambition to control all of the frontier. Slade’s primary goal is not just wealth, but retribution against those who abandoned him. His obsession with revenge and the future of the Marauders makes him an unpredictable and dangerous adversary.

Her olive skin is adorned with tattoos, each representing a significant victory or betrayal she’s made in her life as an outlaw. She’s tall, lean, and moves with a grace that hides the deadly precision of a trained killer. Her worn leather duster and custom-made six-shooters mark her as someone not to be underestimated.

Background: Cass is a former assassin with a brutal reputation, having worked as a hired gun before joining Dante's Marauders. A cold-hearted killer, Cass shares a long history of violent actions and double-crosses, often dealing with shady figures who need someone eliminated. She became Dante’s second-in-command after proving her worth through several bloody raids, including taking down rival gangs that dared challenge the Marauders.

Personality: Cass is ruthless and pragmatic, valuing efficiency above all. She sees the world in terms of power, domination, and survival of the fittest. She has no qualms about using her charm to manipulate or seduce when needed, though her loyalty to Dante is absolute. However, there’s a bitterness in her heart—a resentment toward men who believe women belong in the background. His hands are calloused and massive, capable of crushing a man's skull with ease. He wears a collection of chains around his neck and a thick leather vest that covers his tattooed chest. His eyes, however, remain vacant—his soul long gone, consumed by violence.

Background: Red Thompson is Dante’s most loyal enforcer, a man whose past is as brutal as his present. He was a pit fighter for many years, forced to survive in brutal underground arenas. Eventually, Dante saved him from a death match, seeing potential in the massive man’s strength. Red became Dante’s most trusted bodyguard and enforcer, ensuring the Marauders’ authority remains unchallenged.

Personality: Red is simple in his thinking but absolutely deadly when called to action. He has a singular devotion to Dante and will follow his orders without question. He’s not a talker, preferring to let his fists do the speaking. Skills:

    • Brutal Strength: Capable of overpowering nearly anyone in close combat.
    • Intimidation: Red can cause fear with his sheer presence alone.

Her smile is intoxicating, and she knows exactly how to manipulate anyone into doing her bidding.

Background: Lorna grew up on the streets of various towns, honing her ability to lie, cheat, and steal in order to survive. Her talents eventually caught the attention of Dante, who saw her as a valuable asset for infiltrating rival factions and stealing vital information. Lorna is Dante’s eyes and ears, often working undercover to sabotage enemy plans or gather intel for Marauder raids. She’s also known for her ability to get out of sticky situations with nothing more than a smile and a well-placed lie.

Personality: Lorna is playful, charismatic, and opportunistic. She loves to manipulate and twist people’s emotions for fun, often turning enemies into allies—or worse, into pawns. She’s a bit of a romantic at heart, though she hides it behind a flirtatious and cynical demeanor. Her loyalty lies with whoever offers her the most benefit, but for now, that’s with Dante.

    Skills:

    • Persuasion: Can charm or deceive anyone with her sweet words and wit.

She dresses in high-end, practical clothing—tailored suits with a faint shimmer of steel beneath the fabric. A silver pocket watch, passed down from her father, is always within her grasp. Though she carries herself with grace and poise, there is an undeniable air of authority that surrounds her. At her side is a small derringer tucked into a hidden holster, a reminder of the world she rules with an iron fist.

Background: Clara McDonough was born into wealth, the daughter of a railroad magnate who built The Union from the ground up. However, it wasn’t just her father’s fortune that made Clara powerful—it was her sharp mind and cold, calculating nature. After her father’s mysterious death, Clara took control of The Union at a young age, becoming one of the most influential women in the entire frontier. Under her leadership, The Union expanded its reach, monopolizing the railroads, steam-powered industry, and the arms trade. Clara’s rise to power was not without sacrifice. She is known for having a ruthlessness that rivals the most notorious outlaws, and she has no qualms about using any means necessary to maintain control.

Clara’s leadership is both admired and feared. Her beauty often deceives those who think her weak, but beneath her polished exterior lies a woman who can break anyone with just a glance. She is driven by a vision of a prosperous and ordered world, and she will stop at nothing to see it realized, even if it means bloodshed.

Personality: Clara is a woman of sharp intellect, decisive actions, and calculated risks. She thrives on control—of both people and situations—and is always three steps ahead of her rivals. Despite her icy demeanor, Clara is not entirely devoid of empathy, but she has learned to hide it behind a veil of efficiency. 17. #17Sheriff Jebediah "Black Hat" McCoy

Keys: Sherriff, Sherriff Jebidiah, Sheriff Jebediah "Black Hat" McCoy, Sherriff McCoy, Jebediah, Jeb

His face is permanently scarred from past battles, with a deep scar running from his right cheek to the corner of his mouth. His graying hair is always neatly combed beneath his signature black hat, a symbol of his authority and the brutal justice he dispenses. He dresses in a simple but sturdy sheriff’s uniform, with a badge that gleams even in the harshest sun. His eyes are a piercing green, sharp and calculating, but they also reflect a man weary from years of fighting the lawless elements of the frontier.

Background: Jebediah McCoy was born in a small town in the South, the son of a lawman who taught him the value of discipline and justice. However, after witnessing the corruption of the system he once admired, McCoy left his old life behind and joined the frontier as a mercenary, where he quickly gained a reputation for his brutal efficiency. When he stumbled into Hawk’s Landing, a town teetering on the edge of total anarchy, he saw an opportunity to make his mark.

He quickly rose to the position of sheriff, a title he took with great pride. However, McCoy’s version of justice is not always the same as the law’s. He believes in swift, brutal retribution, and he’s willing to cross moral lines if it means keeping the peace. His time as a soldier and mercenary has left him with a hardened soul, and the weight of the lives he's taken often haunts him in the quiet moments.

Personality: McCoy is a man of action, not words. He believes that the law exists to maintain order, but order doesn't always mean fairness.
