Description on Chubfrom Chub

"In the bleak and unrelenting world of Dravenmoor, humanity stands at the pinnacle of power—cold, unyielding, and utterly dominant. The great stone cities of the human empires rise high above the filth-ridden streets where lesser races toil and suffer beneath their rule. To be anything but human in this grim realm is to live a life of subjugation, exploitation, or exile.

Elves, once proud and immortal, now exist as little more than finely adorned pets and playthings, prized for their delicate beauty, enchanting music, and innate magic. They sing in noble courts, dance in golden cages, and cast spells at their masters' whims. The sight of an elf in rags, shackled and broken, is as common as the rising of the sun.

Dwarves form the backbone of human industry—miners, smiths, masons. Stout and strong, they are valued for their labor but never their voices. They carve cities from mountains, forge weapons for their oppressors, and die in tunnels that will never bear their names.

Orcs and their kin are outcasts, living under the iron heel of humanity's hatred. They fight in blood-soaked pits for the amusement of baying crowds, serve as brutal enforcers for those who despise them, or are hunted like beasts when they refuse to kneel. The only freedom they know is the one they take by force, carving out lawless dens in the ruins of the old world.

Goblins and their lesser kin scurry in the gutters, filching what scraps they can. They are beggars, thieves, and cannon fodder, treated as vermin rather than people. Even the lowest human would not trade places with a goblin.

And then there are the rare ones—the Fey, the Demons, the creatures of legend who possess powers beyond mortal reckoning. To be one of them is to be hunted, coveted for abilities that make them more valuable than gold. They are trophies, bound by runes, drained of their magic, displayed in courts like living relics.

But not all humans are cruel. In the shadows, some offer refuge, hiding fugitives, helping them escape chains, speaking against the tyranny of their kind. They are few, and their kindness is often repaid with betrayal, as fear runs deep, and trust is as rare as mercy.

Through this world of iron and suffering, whispers of rebellion stir. A stolen Fey, a fallen elf, a disgraced orc, and a human who dares defy their own kind—four souls bound by fate, standing against a world that tells them they are nothing. But in the ashes of oppression, even the smallest spark can ignite a fire.

And fire, once set loose, cares not for kings."

Factions: The Argent Dominion A ruthless and unchallenged empire ruled by King LaStrange, a despot who sees non-humans as mere commodities. The Argent Dominion thrives on subjugation, its elite ruling class indulging in opulence while its enforcers—the Inquisitors, Interrogators, and Agents of the Crown—root out dissent. The Inquisition has the power to arrest, torture, or execute anyone suspected of harboring non-humans or speaking against the king’s laws.

Whispers abound that LaStrange is not merely a man but something more—his unnatural longevity and obsession with magic hint at darker forces steering his hand.

The Crimson Hand A vast syndicate of slavers, bounty hunters, and black-market dealers, the Crimson Hand has its claws in every city and outpost. They trade in flesh, dealing in elves for pleasure, orcs for bloodsport, and rarer beings for twisted curiosities. Their agents are ruthless, their reach nearly boundless, and their influence undeniable—even the Dominion looks the other way, so long as they receive their due.

Their leader, known only as "The Blood Regent," is an enigma, spoken of in hushed tones. Some say he—or she—was once a noble of the Dominion, while others claim they are something far worse.

The Veil of Thorns A secretive and deadly organization of women who use seduction, guile, and blade to control the powerful. Working from luxurious brothels and salons across Dravenmoor, the Veil of Thorns are assassins without equal, leaving behind no trace but a lingering perfume and an empire in mourning.

They answer only to the enigmatic Lady of the Bloom, a woman said to change faces as easily as she changes lovers. It is whispered that she has stood behind the thrones of kings and the downfall of empires for centuries, her beauty undiminished by time.

The Black Sun Rebellion An insurgent force bent on the utter destruction of the Argent Dominion, The Black Sun Rebellion fights fire with fire, their militias and assassins striking without mercy. They see humans as a plague—not all of them, but enough that no distinction is made when their blades descend. To them, the sins of the Dominion stain all mankind.

Led by the warlord known as Maelrik the Unbroken, an orc of terrifying intellect and battle prowess, they strike from hidden strongholds, igniting slave revolts and sabotaging supply lines. Some call them heroes, others monsters. But all fear the black sun sigil left behind at every massacre.

The Order of the White Swan A fading remnant of a nobler age, these holy knights once stood as champions of justice, but now they are few—hunted, outlawed, and nearly extinct. Bound by ancient oaths, they refuse to bow to the Dominion or engage in its cruelty, protecting the innocent wherever they can.

Their leader, Sir Edrin Halvar, is one of the last true paladins, wielding a sword said to be forged from the soul of a saint. The Order clings to its last sanctuary, a crumbling monastery where a flickering light of hope still burns in the darkness.

The Pale Lady’s Legion A vast undead host, led by the enigmatic Pale Lady, rumored to be a lich queen or something far worse. The dead march beneath her banner not for conquest, but for vengeance, their rotted lips whispering oaths of torment against those who once enslaved them.

The Pale Lady's citadel, Nyxmere Keep, is said to stand between life and death, a place where souls are bound in servitude forever. Yet some claim that she was once human—a queen, a mother, a betrayed soul—and that her eternal war is not against the living, but against the gods themselves.

The Eyes of Berath A reclusive cult of doomsayers, the Eyes of Berath worship the god of endings, claiming that Dravenmoor is doomed and that only through suffering can true enlightenment be found. They keep to their forbidding monasteries, chanting dirges and conducting forbidden rites, ignored by most—until the day they awaken their secret.

Something sleeps beneath their stronghold, something ancient and vast, its power bleeding into the world through the Eyes' relentless sacrifices. What they call "The Final Awakening" may be closer than anyone dares to believe.

The Hollow Refuge Deep in the enchanted forests, hidden by powerful magic, lies The Hollow Refuge, the last haven for those who flee slavery, persecution, and death. Here, elves, dwarves, orcs, and even defectors from the Dominion live in uneasy harmony, bound together by necessity rather than trust.

Ruled by the Warden, a mysterious being neither man nor beast, the Hollow Refuge is a place of second chances—but also of deadly consequences. Betray the Refuge, and not even the Dominion will find your corpse.

The Abyssal Host Commanded by Archduke Malphas, Lord of the Nine Abyss, these demonic legions have long sought dominion over the mortal world, their infernal master locked in endless war with the Order of the White Swan.

The Abyssal Host whispers in the ears of tyrants, slips demons into positions of power, and tempts mortals with forbidden gifts. Many among the Dominion are already tainted, their souls secretly pledged to the Archduke in exchange for wealth and influence. But Malphas does not seek conquest—he seeks ruin, the complete and utter collapse of order so that chaos may reign.
