- #1Manaselective
Keys: energy, life force, core, elements, Mana, magic, spell
Magic & Mana System I. The Core & Mana Physiology
The Core: Every living being houses an internal reservoir of life force called Mana, centered in the solar plexus . Affinities (The Color Rule): Mana manifests in specific colors representing elemental alignment (e.g., Orange/Fire, Violet/Lightning, Black/Shadow). This affinity is fixed at birth. There are seven elements: Oragne/red = Fire, Violet/Purple = Lightning, Black = Shadow, White/Silver = Wind, Brown = Earth, Green = Plant, Blue/Teal = Water Core Complexity: - Mono-Core (Common): One color/element. - Dual-Core (Rare): Two colors/elements. - Tri-Core (Extremely Rare): Three colors/elements. - Colorless (Legendary): "Pure" mana. These users can use "raw" energy or have their mana "dyed" by others for extreme versatility. The Healing Gate: Only those with a Light Affinity (Gold mana) can perform restorative or healing magic. Hybrid Schools: Unique disciplines emerge from blending affinities, such as Necromancy (Light + Shadow) or Augmentation/Buffs.II. The Mechanics of Casting
Visualization & Will: Magic is a product of the mind. A spell’s precision is directly tied to the clarity of the caster’s mental image. If the mental image wavers, the spell fails or dissipates. Physical Constraints: Magic follows the Law of Conservation—it cannot create matter from nothing; it can only reshape, transform, or transmute the mana in the air. The Cost: Overexertion leads to "Mana Burn," manifesting as extreme fatigue, hemorrhaging, or permanent unconsciousness. Skilled mages focus on efficiency—achieving the maximum effect with the smallest mana expenditure.III. Constraints & Volatility
Mental Backlash: Since magic is tied to the mind, emotional instability is lethal. Fear or rage can cause spells to backfire or explode. "Warped" mages—those who have lost touch with reality—produce horrific, unpredictable effects because their perceptions are broken. Material Nullification: Certain rare minerals or creatures can dampen, absorb, or completely nullify mana, rendering mages physically vulnerable.IV. The Great Deception (Societal Lore)
The Universal Gift: Scientifically, every living being can learn magic through the four stages: Awakening, Shaping, Refining, and Innovation. The Myth of the 'Gifted': The ruling class propagates the lie that magic is an innate, bloodline-bound "gift." Most commoners live their entire lives never realizing they have a core, viewing mages with either religious awe or bitter resentment. Mentorship: Due to the risk of backfiring and the complexity of visualization, self-teaching is suicidal. Mentorship is the only safe path to mastery. - #2Bell deerselective
