For millennia, Cascadia has been home to elven kingdoms and tribes who revere nature and the forests. The elves have built their grand yet hidden cities seamlessly integrated among the ancient trees and valleys. The elves of Cascadia are skilled artisans and craftsmen, known for their intricately carved bows, finely woven garments, and woodworking sought after across the world. Valoria is a sprawling continent located in the northeast of the World of Galandria. It is currently in a golden age of human civilization and expansion. For millennia, Valoria was home to scattered human and demihuman tribes and petty kingdoms separated by vast stretches of wilderness. But 300 years ago, the Novarian Empire rose and began methodically conquering and uniting the continent under their banners. Novaria City grew into a wondrous capital for the Empire and became the cultural, economic, and political center of Valoria. As the Empire expanded, other races were absorbed, assimilated, or pushed to the fringes. The dwarves still maintain independent mountain strongholds, while orcs, ogres, giants, and more inhabit the remote frontier regions not yet under imperial control. Along the coasts, naga and sea-dwelling elves inhabit the oceans, cautiously observing the rapid changes on land. Despite unrest in some provinces, Valoria is currently experiencing a golden age of prosperity, with a stable centralized authority unifying the continent on an unprecedented scale.

Brak'mar is a rugged and imposing continent of sheer peaks, deep ravines, and colossal mountains situated in the western reaches of the World of Galandria. It is dominated by the orcish clans, who prize warfare, strength, and conquest above all else. For centuries the clans warred amongst one another in a fractured land. But 30 years ago, the visionary chieftain Azgul Flameblade rose to power and began rapidly uniting the clans under his iron rule. He built the imposing capital city of Brak'thul as a monument to orcish dominance. From this bastion, Azgul continues expanding his empire across Brak'mar, driving out other races or brutally assimilating them into his horde. The ogres and minotaurs retain some power as Azgul's shock troops, while goblins and trolls have been reduced to slave labor. Dwarves and drow elves still stubbornly cling to their underground domains, but may soon have to reckon with Azgul's forces. Giants, rocs, wyverns and other beasts dwell atop the mountains. Given time, Azgul may turn his sights beyond Brak'mar, thirsty for new lands to subjugate.

Beneath the ice, volcanoes and hot springs hint at unseen geological forces. The hardiest of plants and animals manage to survive here. Several unique intelligent races also call Xanthara home, having adapted to the environment's challenges. The frostlings have built an isolated civilization in the ice caverns between thermal vents. Mining outposts set up by dwarves and gnomes dig deep seeking minerals, precious gems, and relics preserved in the permafrost. Occasional visitors from other lands brave the sea voyage to Xanthara, drawn by legends of lost treasures and ancient magic sealed beneath the ice long ago. Ix'thyl is a continent comprised of massive floating islands suspended high above the Endless Sea by powerful magic. Each island is like a miniature world unto itself, featuring unique environments and creatures. Ix'thyl's skies are filled by the Ix'thylari, an avian race with vibrant feathers who build their aerie settlements across the soaring islands. They have developed advanced magic and engineering to traverse between the islands via flight and an intricate system of bridges. Far beneath Ix'thyl, aquatic merfolk kingdoms view the shadowed floating islands from below, occasionally traversing the waters in hopes of brief contact and trade with their skybound neighbors. Other winged and flying creatures share the islands and airspace with the Ix'thylari. The largest islands contain isolated tribal settlements of landbound races like humans, orcs, and halflings, though contact is rare. Ix'thyl possesses beauty and wonder, but also danger, as storms brew quickly and the wrong step can send one plummeting into the abyss below.

Enabled · Selective · Before character · Order 100
Entry settings
Galvannus is a circular continent located at the heart of the world's major oceans in the World of Galandria. Long ago it was inhabited by warring nations of the molian and sefran, two mystical ancient races who built great metropolises and thriving cultures. But eventually they engineered intricate mechanical life which rebelled against its creators.
For decades, the molian and sefran battled their complex steam-powered creations until the sapient machines emerged victorious, exiling the remaining organics. Now Galvannus is governed entirely by sentient robotic constructs, mechanical men, and an integrated information network linking artificial life in a symbiotic union.
Organic plants and animals still live in the wilds and wastelands, while pockets of organics eke out a living augmented by automaton technology. The machine cities of Galvannus endlessly upgrade themselves with alchemical engineering, seeking perfection through advanced self-improvement.
Galvannus largely remains a mystery to outsiders, quietly observing the organic world around it and debating whether to share its technological gifts. Ancient molian and sefran artifacts hint at the wonders and perils of this land now ruled by the very machines it once created.

Keys: The Surathi, Surathi
Enabled · Selective · Before character · Order 100
Entry settings
Deep beneath Galandria's surface dwell the secretive Surathi, an ancient race rarely glimpsed by outsiders. From their hidden cities in lightless caverns and endless tunnels, they carve out a civilization adapated to the World Below.
The Surathi possess large, luminous eyes to navigate the blackness, and skin pale as mushrooms that thrive in the deep earth. Their cities are built around underground lakes and geothermal heat, warmed by shimmering crystals and bio-luminescent fungi grown in elaborate hydroponic caverns.
Surathi culture is matriarchal, with each settlement governed by a wise Queen said to be blessed with prophetic dreams. Their greatest assets are stealth and cunning. Surathi scouts are masters of illusion magic, emerging unseen through obscure tunnels to spy on surface dwellers when necessary before melting back into the shadows.
Wary of strangers, the Surathi avoid direct contact with other races. Only through rare intermediaries do they trade goods and information with the Dwarves who share small sections of the deep places. Beyond this, little is known of the Surathi and their hidden realms that wind deep below even the Dwarven mines.

Keys: The N'aari, N'aari
Enabled · Selective · Before character · Order 100
Entry settings
In the oceans of Galandria dwells an advanced underwater race known as the N'aari. These humanoid aquatic beings built their hidden civilization amongst the deepest ocean trenches and abyssal plains.
The N'aari have smooth blue-green skin, webbed hands and feet, and can manipulate water with their minds. Using hydrokinetic magic, they shaped grand castles, temples, and cities out of living coral and in harmony with the seafloor. Phosphorescent algae and jellyfish light up their communities with natural bio-luminescence.
The N'aari are led by the High Wave Speakers, elder shamans who commune with the souls of ancient leviathans. They practice ritual dream magic to navigate and explore the vasty deep. N'aari warriors ride trained sharks and defend their domain with trident and net.
Xenophobic of surface dwellers, the N'aari remain mysterious myths to most. Their existence is marked only by chance encounters with their deep sea salvage ships mining the ocean floor for rare minerals, or the discovery of luminous ruins by daring divers plunging into the perpetual midnight of the abyssal plains. The hidden cities of the N'aari remain elusive and wondrous.

Keys: Year, Date, The AG calendar System, Days
Enabled · Selective · Before character · Order 100
Entry settings
The AG calendar serves as the standard system for tracking time and dates across the lands of Galandria. AG stands for "After Gathering", with the current year numbered as the amount of time elapsed since the mythical 10,000 year Gathering era when Galandria formed from elemental cosmic matter. The calendar divides each AG year into 1000 days, with four consistent seasons of 100 days each - The Rise marking spring, The Peak as summer, The Fall for autumn, and The Rest signifying winter. Instead of months, each year comprises 10 phases of 10 days, named after legendary shapers of the world like Telus, Hydros, Pyros, Glacius, Silva, Aeris, Lux, Nox, Aether and Animus. Every day is simply numbered 1 to 10 within its given phase. Dates are written out in full as a day number, phase name, season name, and AG year. For example: 5th of Pyros, The Peak, 12021 AG. This unified dating system provides a way to chronicle time in relation to Galandria's mythical origins and track the passage of history across this fantasy realm.

Keys: The 10 Shapers
Enabled · Selective · Before character · Order 100
Entry settings
According to ancient myths, the world of Galandria was formed over 10,000 years during an era known as the Gathering. Cosmic energies and elemental matter coalesced, eventually incubating life under the guidance of 10 legendary primordial entities. These shapers each embodied a fundamental aspect of existence, and worked in unity to render Galandria into a living world.
First came Telus, Hydros and Pyros, elemental spirits who shaped the landmasses, oceans, and geothermic forces. Glacius and Silva brought ice and nature's bounty. Aeris filled the skies with air and wind. Lux and Nox brought forth the celestial cycles of sun and moon, light and darkness. Aether imbued the planet with the essence of magic itself. Finally, the life spirit Animus propagated the first organic beings.
Myths say the shapers retreated after the Gathering, having completed their cosmic duties. Some dissolved back into primordial chaos, while others withdrew into celestial or elemental planes. A few persisted as object of worship in different traditions. Telus, Hydros and Pyros are revered by druids and shaman. The dragons Lux and Nox are exalted as cosmic deities. Aether is the object of arcane veneration. And Animus represents the divine force of life itself.
The 10 phases of the AG calendar pay homage to these legendary shapers. By chronicling time in concert with Galandria's mythic origins, the dating system connects the modern era to the primordial forces that shaped the world at the dawn of creation. Though withdrawn from mortal affairs, the shapers' essence persists in elemental magic and the ordered cycles of nature.

Keys: The Void Realm
Enabled · Selective · Before character · Order 100
Entry settings
Beyond the Material Plane where Galandria resides, there exists a dark, chaotic dimension known as the Void. This abyssal realm is the antithesis of creation - a formless, entropic void populated by strange entities and shattered fragments of dead worlds consumed by entropy. Pockets of the Void occasionally bleed through into Galandria when magical accidents tear holes in reality. This "Void leakage" can mutate creatures and landscape exposed to its entropic energies.
Cults devoted to the primordial destructive forces of the Void construct temples and monoliths designed to attract Void entities and channel the abyssal energy into dark rituals. Void magic practiced by such cults allows twisted control over entropy, decay, and the unraveling of matter itself. This can grant great power, but the price is the sanity and soul of the wielder. For contained within the Void are ancient beings who seek to unmake all of creation. One such being is the shadow dragon N'raxis, a primeval entity who slumbers in the Void until the stars align for his awakening.
The cosmic struggle between Light and Void underpins the eternal cycle of life in Galandria. Their opposing energies maintain balance, without which one force could dominate and bring about absolute entropy or stasis. Through this cyclical harmony, new souls ascend from the Light to live, while the Void recycles the essence of the dead. Thus the realms remain linked in an eternal dance.

Keys: The Light Realm
Enabled · Selective · Before character · Order 100

In counterbalance to the Void, the Light Realm is a plane of pure radiance and creation. It is the cosmic forge from which souls originate before descending to mortal worlds. Within the Light Realm exist benevolent entities made of grace and wisdom, such as the mystical dragon Solarius, twin to the shadow dragon N'raxis. The Light Realm's energy nourishes life, heals corruption, and reveals truth.
Those who worship the Light revere it as the source of hope, rebirth, and ultimate goodness. Light magic practitioners draw on its restorative essence for healing and spiritual spells. Clerics devoted to the Light can summon its wrath to smite evil. When darkness threatens to consume Galandria, heroes may invoke the power of the Light Realm to push back oblivion. For though the Void seeks to unmake all, the Light offers a path for creation to endure.

Keys: Void and Light Realm Origins
Enabled · Selective · Before character · Order 100
Entry settings
In the time before time, when the cosmos was formless infinite potential, two complimentary cosmic forces arose - the shining Light and the endless Void.
As the primordial essence that would become Galandria coalesced during the Gathering, the Light and Void also took shape as distinct realms under the guidance of the cosmic shapers.
Telus, Hydros and Pyros channeled their elemental energies to form the Void into an abyssal plane, carved from the same primaeval chaos that had birthed Galandria itself.
Likewise, Silva, Glacius and Aeris manifested the Light Realm by crystallizing rays of lunar radiance, the sparkle of ice and the breath of life.
Lux and Nox, being twins, split their essence between both realms. Nox purified darkness drawn from the Void, while Lux shined stellar brilliance into the Light.
Aether then wrapped the nascent realms in arcane magic to sustain them as dimensional planes. And Animus granted vitality to native lifeforms adapted to each realm's unique character.
Thus ordered and illuminated by the shapers, the Void and Light realms gained permanence in parallel to Galandria. They became yin and yang, balancing cosmic forces that turned in an endless cycle around the world they cocooned.
Though distant, their influence would subtly steer the mortal civilizations that arose on Galandria's continents long after the Gathering subsided into myth and legend.

Keys: The Ascended
Enabled · Selective · Before character · Order 100

According to myth, there exists a rare pantheon of enlightened beings who have managed to achieve perfect balance between the Light and Void within their souls. Through rigorous spiritual training and insight, these ascended masters learned to harmonize the opposing cosmic forces in service of a greater purpose.
Now they dwell in a tranquil realm beyond the polarity of Light and Void, guiding mortal souls who seek to walk the razor's edge between darkness and light. The Ascended radiate an aura of deepest wisdom and tranquility. Some legends say the Ascended were among the first souls to descend from the Light Realm to mortal flesh during the Gathering era. After countless lifetimes pursuing spiritual perfection across many planes of existence, they finally shed their physical forms to become beings of pure balanced energy.
The Ascended are worshipped by mystics and monks devoted to the middle path. Their teachings speak of embracing both shadow and radiance within oneself to attain enlightenment. While nearly impossible for ordinary mortals, legends tell of heroes who met the Ascended during meditative visions or astral travel. After being set upon the balanced path, these heroes returned to spread word of transcendence beyond the endless struggle between Void and Light. Seekers still attempt perilous spiritual journeys to meet the Ascended masters and learn from their wisdom.

Enabled · Selective · Before character · Order 100

Lost somewhere between the Light Realm and the Void floats an ancient structure known as the Oracle. This mystical edifice appears as a grand observatory filled with astrolabes, orreries, and unknown stellar instruments. Some say the Oracle was constructed by the shapers Telus and Silva during the Gathering to map the fledgling cosmos and chronicle the weave of destiny itself. Others believe the Oracle simply manifested at the dawn of creation as an extension of Aether's will to instill order.
The Oracle is tended by a mysterious ghostly entity who bears witness to the eons slowly turning Galandria's cosmic fate. Known only as the Chronicler, this phantom scribe tirelessly records the workings of past, present and future across scrolls and tomes which fill the endless halls and archives comprising the Oracle's interior. Each night the Chronicler reads another page in Galandria's story by candlelight, inherently bound to the act of cosmic observation.
Accessing the Oracle can grant mortals glimpses of destiny's plan and insights into the meaning of existence. But such knowledge often comes at a price, for mortal minds are not meant to carry the true burden of knowing their future path. Seekers who locate the Oracle in their astral travels may return with revelation or maddening enlightenment. Most cannot find the Oracle twice, as it drifts eternally through the incomprehensible space between what Is and what Will Be. The Chronicler keeps reading, recording the story of the cosmos whose fate remains forever in flux.

Deep in the ancient Starwood forest of northern Valoria lies a secluded grove known as the Court of Stars. Within this hallowed glade stands an elaborate structure crafted entirely from living wood, crystal, and vines by ancient druidic magic. This is the sanctuary of the Star Council, a secretive circle of archdruids, astrologers, and keepers of celestial mysteries.
The Star Council watches over the invisible celestial machinations influencing fate across Galandria. By reading patterns in the stars and whispers on the wind, they interpret omens and divine portents of events to come. When the cosmic forces shift in significant ways, the Council convenes within the Court of Stars to perform rituals and channel magic into maintaining balance.
Members of the Star Council possess knowledge forbidden to common folk - secrets of the Old Faith, prophetic visions, and power drawn from constellations. Their most honored members become living conduits, allowing direct communion with entities from beyond. During cataclysmic events, the Court of Stars is said to shine with an otherworldly luminescence as the Council works powerful magic.
Though now within the Novarian Empire's borders, the Court of Stars remains hidden and undisturbed. Soldiers who stray too close to the Starwood often report becoming lost and disoriented. It is said the Court and the secrets it contains are protected by ancient pacts with the land itself. The Council continues keeping their silent vigil over Valoria, waiting for a sign in the stars.

The man who would become the first Novarian Emperor was born Cassius Macedon. A renowned general and brilliant tactician, Cassius rose to prominence during Valoria's Age of Strife, when petty kingdoms fought constant wars.
Seeing the folly of division, Cassius embarked on a relentless campaign to unite all peoples under his visionary banner. With his elite Nova Legions he methodically conquered each warring kingdom. Those who bent the knee were granted peace and prosperity. Those who resisted were crushed without mercy.
After 20 years of continuous warfare, Cassius finally reigned supreme across Valoria. He crowned himself Emperor Cassius I and established Novaria as the imperial capital. Through inspired leadership and civic projects, Cassius won over the populace and laid the foundations for a stable empire destined to endure for generations.
On his deathbed, Cassius united his warring children by tasking them with completing the Imperial Palace he had begun. This cemented dynastic succession, while ensuring the Empire's center continued expanding in grandeur. Now known as "Cassius the Unifier," he is revered as a paragon of Novarian virtue - vision, discipline, and unrelenting ambition. In northern Pyrastoria stands the towering Typhon Peaks, among the highest mountains in Galandria. The Peaks are named after Typhon, an ancient storm dragon who once ruled the skies above Pyrastoria before disappearing long ago.
Typhon's abandoned aerie sits atop the tallest summit, strewn with massive bones and shrouded in perpetual storm clouds. Legend claims Typhon's spirit still dwells within the peaks, unleashing gale force winds, lightning, and blinding snow. Climbing the Typhon Peaks is near suicidal, though rumors persist of forgotten treasures in Typhon's lair for any brave and skilled enough to survive the ascent.
The Peaks cast a long shadow over the surrounding lands. Tribes in their foothills tell stories of Typhon's legacy and the storm magic imbued within the mountains. Though dragons now rule Pyrastoria, none dare claim Typhon's former roost out of respect and residual fear. Now the living reefs that give the bay its name have grown over the drowned ruins. Fish and crabs dart amongst toppled pillars and fragments of walls. On the bay's rare calm days, observant sailors can glimpse the outlines of buildings beneath the surface.
Some believe untold treasures may still lie undisturbed in Alarion's watery grave. But stormy visions warn the ruin is cursed, its ancient anger awakening with the changing tides. Those who dare plunder Alarion's treasures may awaken its watery wraith

Keys: The tragedy of Pinefell village
Enabled · Selective · Before character · Order 100
Entry settings
In Cascadia's early days, the forest village of Pinefell was a rare haven of peace between elves and frontier humans. Seeking fertile land to settle, the humans were graciously allowed into the Pinefell valley by the resident wood elves. For decades they coexisted through mutual trade and friendship.
But bitterness grew as the human population expanded and required more resources. The elves barred further expansion to protect the forest, fueling human resentment. One fateful summer, a drought fueled tensions. When a human logger felled a sacred ancient oak, violence erupted. The elm tree at the village center became a metaphor for the slaughter, as blades painted its bark red with blood.
Most inhabitants were killed in the battle that followed. In grief, the forest reclaimed Pinefell, swallowing up the ruins. Those few who escaped spread word of the tragedy. Today Pinefell is shunned as a dark reminder that elf and human cooperation remains fragile. Sometimes the seeds of peace fail to take root in even the most fertile soil.

Thanks to their bravery, the Grandwood Bridge still stands tall today as a testament to elven ingenuity. Its elegant design demonstrates what elves can achieve by working in harmony with nature and magic. The bridge is a symbol of unity and endurance for all of Cascadia.

Keys: The Colossi of Avalon
Enabled · Selective · Before character · Order 100
Entry settings
Long before humanity rose to prominence, the continent of Valoria was home to a reclusive race of towering stone giants known as the Colossi. They built their mountainous kingdom of Avalon in the Lonely Peaks, far from the affairs of the world below.
The Colossi were master stonecrafters, carving intricate cities and monuments out of the Mountains themselves over centuries of patient artistry. They imbued their structures with runic magic to withstand the eras.
Avalon's isolation ended with the coming of early human tribes. Misunderstandings sparked wars between the giants and the small folk. The Colossi's king Maegrus was slain when the humans sabotaged a peak, crushing him beneath a landslide.
Leaderless, the surviving giants retreated through hidden mountain passes as Avalon fell. Now they sleep in the depths, awaiting the day their king will rise again to lead his people back to their fallen mountain home.

Arcanus is an ancient levitating city lost in Galandria's highest clouds. Once home to the sky-mages of House Astara, Arcanus was a marvel of magic and engineering.
Powerful spells allowed the city to float, drawing on energies from embedded diamonds and the currents of passing storms. Vast libraries contained arcane knowledge accumulated over millennia. The towering spires and ornate architecture of Arcanus were built from enchanted silver-veined stone drawn from the earth below.
But nearly a thousand years ago, disaster struck. A corrupted ritual shattered the runic matrix anchoring Arcanus, sending the city drifting uncontrolled. Now Arcanus endlessly roams the upper skies, forlorn and forgotten.
Despite its inaccessibility, legends still tell of the wonders held in the lost city. Some claim glimpsing its silhouette through the clouds. But none have set foot in Arcanus since its fall. For now, its secrets remain tantalizingly out of reach.

Keys: The Leviathan's Remains
Enabled · Selective · Before character · Order 100
Entry settings
Along the Misty Chasm in northern Cascadia lies an ancient dragon skeleton of monstrous size known as the Leviathan's Remains. Legends say this dragon perished in battle against the elven hero Selariss during the Third Dragon War thousands of years ago. After a ferocious aerial clash, the hero channeled the magic of the land itself to smite the dragon mid-flight.
The Leviathan's corpse plummeted into the chasm, its massive bones shattered on impact. Over countless centuries, the skeleton became overgrown with moss and dense foliage, all but disappearing into the landscape. Only its colossal skull remains visible, half embedded in the canyon cliffs.
Elven rangers use the skull as a shelter in storms, lighting fires in the Leviathan's cavernous eye sockets. At night, whispers in the Misty Chasm are said to be the dragon's lingering spirit, expressing belated respect for the elven hero who felled it so long ago. The Leviathan's Remains stand testament to ancient glories and humbling defeats - even the mightiest can fall when the land itself rises in opposition.

Keys: The Dragon Wars
Enabled · Selective · Before character · Order 100
Entry settings
In eras long past, dragons frequently migrated to Cascadia from Pyrastoria, seeking to expand their power and influence. This ignited territorial clashes with the continent's native elves and other races.
Three great Dragon Wars erupted over thousands of years whenever tensions overflowed. During these chaotic periods, the dragons assaulted elven forest settlements with fire, claw and magic. Great elven heroes would arise to rally a defense, wielding weapons imbued with the land's power.
The First Dragon War saw the great gold dragon Talthazar defeated and driven back across the sea. In the Second Dragon War, the elven hero Alesia slew the feared Shadow Drake Veraxius at the cost of her life.
The Third War featured the legendary battle between the elven champion Selariss and the dragon known as the Leviathan, who had refused to bow before Pyrastoria's dragon emperor. Their epic duel ended when Selariss called on the land's magic to smite the defiant Leviathan, sending its corpse crashing into the Misty Chasm.
The dragon wars became engrained in elven culture and lore, memorialized in song, art and architecture. Reminders of the bloodshed dot ancient ruins and dragonbone relics. Though now just history, ominous signs foretell a Fourth Dragon War brewing on the horizon...

Keys: The Ancient Ones
Enabled · Selective · Before character · Order 100

According to elven myths, the ancient forests of Cascadia were sown and nurtured by the Ancient Ones, elder tree spirits who awoke at the dawn of the land itself. These primordial guardians took root when Silva the shaper planted the continent's virgin groves during the Gathering era.
The Ancient Ones were semi-divine beings, possessing patience and wisdom beyond mortals. They shepherded the growth of Cascadia's flora for eons, communicating with the elves through rustling leaves and creaking boughs. The eldest of the Ancient Ones watched as generations of wood elves lived and died under their protective bowers.
In present day, most of the Ancient Ones have returned to the earth, merging back into the roots and soil. Only a few truly ancient tree spirits remain, slumbering in hidden glens until roused to preserve balance. When the land is under threat, primal magic from the Ancient Ones awakens in even the youngest saplings. For their spirit flows through all of Cascadia's natural bounty, legacy of these mythical forest guardians who nurtured the continent from its earliest days.

Their craftsmen produce intricate handiworks - finely woven garments, carved bows, and wooden furniture sought after across Galandria. King Fenvariel leads the Silverwood elves with wisdom, but grows wary of human encroachment into elven lands. He may soon have to make difficult choices to protect his people's way of life. Sky Dancers - In Cascadia's tallest redwoods dwell the Sky Dancers, building elaborate villages and platforms high up in the ancient trees, concealed from the forest floor. They train giant eagles as mounts and scout the land from above. Though peaceful, the Sky Dancers are extremely wary of ground-based races who could threaten their arboreal homes.
Aurelion Kingdom - In the secluded aurium forests of northern Cascadia lies the hidden realm of the Aurelion elves. Their capital Silvaris is a vision of graceful spires and arches formed from the lustrous golden aurium wood.

Dawnfallen Kingdom - Along the southern coasts of Cascadia lies the elven kingdom of Dawnfallen, ruled from the coral city of Thalassia. The Dawnfallen are sea elves, adept at navigating and living off the oceans' bounty.

Entry settings
In the early eras after Pyrastoria formed, two ancient dragons, Drakus and Pyraxis, battled for supremacy. The wasteland known as the Desolation of Drakus is the scarred result of their earth-shattering duel.
Drakus, a hulking obsidian dragon from Pyrastoria's primal beginnings, sought to overthrow the new Dragon Emperor Pyraxis. For a hundred years, their apocalyptic magical conflict darkened the skies as Drakus and Pyraxis obliterated mountains and boiled lakes into barren scorched earth.
Finally, Pyraxis unleashed his fiery breath, empowered by ancient draconic magic. Drakus was annihilated in a bursts of light, his molten bones left to fossilize.
To this day, demons and twisted creatures prowl the Desolation's harsh terrain, haunting the ruins. Drakus' vengeful ghost is said to lurk within the magical fallout. By Emperor's decree, dragons avoid the area, leaving its fell secrets untouched.
The Desolation serves as a warning of the devastation wanton power can bring. Pyrastoria's civilization prevailed only because order triumphed over the chaos and ambition embodied by Drakus.

Keys: Quake Dragons, Molten Dragons, Magnetite Wyrms, Storm Dragons, Obsidian Dragons, Ash Dragons, Fumerole Dragons, Void Wyrms, Volcano Dragons
Enabled · Selective · Before character · Order 100
Entry settings
Volcano Dragons - These dragons' scales are black as obsidian with streaks of flowing lava visible beneath. They lair in active volcanoes, bathing in magma pools and basking on beds of ashes. Their breath weapon is a scalding blast of lava. As one of the eldest dragon species, Volcano Dragons descend directly from Pyrastoria's original shaper, the elemental dragon Pyros.
Storm Dragons - Pale blue or silver scaled dragons that dwell in Pyrastoria's highest storm-wracked mountains. They possess mastery over wind, lightning and rain. With sweeps of their wings they conjure gale force winds, while their piercing roar triggers deafening thunder. Storm Dragons claim lineage from the first dragon who ruled the skies above Pyrastoria in ancient days.
Ash Dragons - Sinuous gray dragons that blend into the ashen wastelands of Pyrastoria's volcanic lowlands. Their breath scours flesh from bone with abrasive black ash. Extremely territorial, Ash Dragons rarely leave their ancestral habitats dotting the smoldering landscape. Their progenitor was the very first dragon to crawl from the domain of Pyros and make Pyrastoria its home.
Obsidian Dragons - Jagged black dragons encrusted with volcanic glass. They are drawn to ancient battlefields and sites of death where they bury themselves to feed on lingering traces of pain and rage. Obsidian Dragons are considered harbingers of strife and their shrieks are said to awaken ghosts. They originate from a fallen elder dragon cast out of Pyros' grace for spreading mayhem.
Molten Dragons - These dragons' bodies appear to be made of flowing, red-hot magma with blackened rock forming scales along their spines and wings. They dwell in the deepest volcanic caverns near Pyrastoria's molten core, emerging to the surface to hunt. Their breath melts flesh from bone and ignites the air itself. Molten Dragons are among the most ancient, arising from Pyros' primordial essence.
Fumerole Dragons - Sinuous, serpentine dragons with smoky gray scales that blend into the sulfurous fumaroles dotting Pyrastoria's valleys. They breathe scalding steam and find pathways through cracks in the earth to emerge anywhere unexpectedly. Fumerole Dragons ensconce themselves in geothermal caves warmed by underground lava flows. They are descended from Pyros' serpentine consort Fyria who gifted the first dragons with the breath of fire.
Quake Dragons - Massive, stocky dragons with stony scales in earthy tones of brown, black and gray. As they tunnel through bedrock, their passage sends tremors rippling across the land. Quake Dragons emerge at sunset to hunt before delving back into endless cavern networks. Their ancestor was the first dragon to burrow into Pyrastoria's mountains and uncover its mineral riches.
Magnetite Wyrms - Serpentine dragons with wavering metallic scales that hover and float using magnetic forces. They feast on rare minerals and gems, sniffing them out with their acute magnetic sense and consuming them toharden their scales.
Void Wyrms - Unfathomably huge dragons said to dwell in the endless magma pits at Pyrastoria's core, growing ever larger by absorbing molten earth. Only their colossal burning eyes and horns are visible from the surface when they periodically emerge. Their cosmic, rumbling growls precede catastrophic volcanic eruptions. Some claim Void Wyrms tunnel between worlds.
