1. #1Battle Mechanics - Detailed Rules

Keys: combat rules, battle mechanics, G-Power, Life Gauge, Ability Card, Gate Card, how to battle

   Enabled · Depth 4 · role not set · Order 10 · 100%

   Entry settings

Each brawler begins with 500 Life Points (LP). A round begins when Bakugan are rolled onto Gate Cards. The Gate Card's attribute may boost a Bakugan of matching attribute by +50 to +100 G. Abilities can be played before or after rolling. When two Bakugan clash, compare total G-Power after all modifiers. Higher G wins; default loss: loser loses LP equal to the G-Power difference. Gate or Ability Cards may override this (e.g., 'opponent loses 200 LP' or 'no LP loss'). If a Doom Card is active, loser is sent to the Doom Dimension instead of LP loss. Brawlers may hold up to 5 Gate Cards and 5 Ability Cards in hand. After each round, all cards used go to the discard pile, and new cards are drawn.

2. #2Doom Dimension - Mechanics and Lore

Keys: Doom Card, Doom Dimension portal, Doom Dimension, Dimension of Doom

   Enabled · Depth 4 · role not set · Order 10 · 100%

   Entry settings

The Doom Dimension is a void realm where Bakugan sent through a Doom Card are trapped, unable to return on their own. A Doom Card replaces the normal Gate Card in a battle; when a Bakugan loses on that gate, it is immediately sucked into a vortex and vanishes. Only a brawler who possesses the corresponding Gate Card that captured the Bakugan, or a special ritual, can open a portal for rescue. Masquerade uses Doom Cards to steal Bakugan and amass power. Time flows differently inside; Bakugan may survive for weeks before fading into nothing. The Battle Brawlers are determined to rescue their friends.

3. #3Preyas - Aquos Bakugan

Keys: Preyas, Marucho's Bakugan, Preyas the chameleon

   Enabled · After character · Order 10 · 100%

Despite his humor, he is a cunning strategist, using attribute shifts to surprise enemies. He was one of the first Bakugan to partner with a human.

4. #4Gorem - Subterra Bakugan

Keys: Julie's Bakugan, Gorem, Gorem the giant

   Enabled · After character · Order 10 · 100%

He values Julie's enthusiasm and often shields her in battle. His raw power makes him a formidable defender, though he can be outmaneuvered by faster opponents.

5. #5Tigrerra - Haos Bakugan

She is a swift and precise fighter, often using agility to outpace heavier foes. She values respect and never backs down from a challenge.

6. #6Skyress - Ventus Bakugan

Keys: the phoenix, Shun's Bakugan, Skyress

   Enabled · After character · Order 10 · 100%

   Entry settings

[ type(Ventus, phoenix); personality(wise, maternal, calm); abilities(flight, wind storms, healing aura); partner(Shun Kazami); appearance(majestic bird with green and silver feathers, long tail, eyes like emeralds); ] Skyress has been with Shun since childhood. She acts as a guide and mentor, often calming his more intense moments. Her wind attacks are both powerful and precise.

7. #7Hydranoid - Darkus Bakugan

Keys: Masquerade's Bakugan, Hydranoid, three‑headed dragon

   Enabled · After character · Order 10 · 100%

   Entry settings

He evolves through battles, becoming more powerful and gaining additional heads. He respects only strength and serves Masquerade without hesitation.

8. #8Battle Sequence & Card Examples

Keys: how to play, phase of battle, card examples, battle sequence, Gate Card examples, Ability Card examples, turn order

   Enabled · Depth 4 · role not set · Order 10 · 100%

   Entry settings

   Phases of a Battle:

   1. Setup: Each brawler has 5 Gate Cards and 5 Ability Cards in hand. One Gate Card is placed face-down on the field. Additional Gate Cards may be added later.
   2. Roll Phase: Brawlers roll their Bakugan spheres onto the field. When two spheres collide, they open into battle form on the nearest Gate Card.
   3. Ability Phase: Before or after revealing the Gate Card, brawlers may play Ability Cards (one each, or more if combos allowed).
   4. Gate Card Reveal: The Gate Card's effect activates (e.g., attribute bonus +100 G, double loss, etc.).
   5. Battle: Compare total G-Power after all modifiers. Higher G wins.
   6. Resolution: Loser loses Life Points equal to the G-Power difference (unless Gate/Ability specifies otherwise). If a Doom Card was active, loser's Bakugan is sent to Doom Dimension. All played cards are discarded. Both brawlers draw back to 5 cards.

Example Gate Card: Pyrus Reactor – Pyrus Bakugan gain +100 G. If a Pyrus Bakugan wins, opponent loses +200 additional LP. Example Ability Card: Mega Boost – Increase your Bakugan's G-Power by 100. Attribute Swap – Change your Bakugan's attribute to any other for this battle.

9. #9Evolution & Bakugan Growth

Keys: G-Power increase, evolve, evolution, Neo Dragonoid, Bakugan evolution, Bakugan growth

   Enabled · Depth 4 · role not set · Order 10 · 100%

   Entry settings

Bakugan can evolve through intense battles, strong bonds with their brawler, or exposure to special energy (e.g., Infinity Core). Evolution permanently increases G-Power, unlocks new abilities, and sometimes changes form.

Requirements: Usually a series of victories or a key emotional moment. The brawler's will and trust matter as much as combat results.

G-Power Growth: Base G-Power typically ranges 300–500 G for standard Bakugan. Evolved forms range 500–800 G. Legendary evolutions (e.g., Infinity Drago) can exceed 1000 G.

   Examples:

   • Drago → Neo Dragonoid (after absorbing power of Vestroia's cores)
   • Tigrerra → Blade Tigrerra (after mastering her blade form)
   • Hydranoid evolves by consuming other Bakugan in the Doom Dimension, gaining heads.

When a Bakugan evolves, update its G-Power and abilities accordingly. Narrative justification matters more than strict math.

10. #10City & Park - Urban Locations

Keys: central park, urban district, old fountain, downtown, park, city, streets, city streets

    Enabled · Before character · Order 10 · 100%

    Entry settings

The city is a bustling coastal metropolis, a mix of modern skyscrapers and older residential districts. The central park features a broken fountain where strange Bakugan activity often occurs. Streets are usually crowded with pedestrians and occasional Bakugan battles. Key spots: the park (quiet, grassy, with the old fountain); the industrial district (abandoned warehouses, where Masquerade is known to lurk); the shopping district (where Dan's family runs a restaurant, and Runo's bakery is located). At night, streetlights cast long shadows, and the atmosphere shifts to suspenseful. The Battle Brawlers often gather at the park to practice or discuss plans.

11. #11Bakugan Arena - Battle Stadium

Keys: stadium, Bakugan Arena, arena, official arena, Bakugan stadium, battle arena

    Enabled · Before character · Order 10 · 100%

    Entry settings

The Bakugan Arena is a large, dome-shaped stadium where official tournaments are held. The interior features a massive battlefield with retractable platforms and digital scoreboards displaying G-Power and Life Gauges. Bleachers surround the field, often packed with spectators. The arena is neutral ground; even Masquerade has been known to appear here to issue challenges. Its automated systems enforce battle rules, and a holographic referee announces each round. At night, the arena is closed but can be accessed if you know the security codes. Professor Clay sometimes uses its facilities for research.

12. #12Professor Clay's Laboratory

Keys: Professor Clay's lab, professor's lab, Clay's lab, research lab, laboratory, Alice's grandfather, lab

    Enabled · Before character · Order 10 · 100%

    Entry settings

Professor Clay's laboratory is located in a converted warehouse near the university district. It is cluttered with Bakugan research equipment, ancient texts, and computer banks monitoring dimensional energy. Clay has built a specialized Gate Card analyzer and a device that can track Bakugan activity across the city. Alice often helps him with research. The lab contains a small arena for testing and a secure vault where rare Bakugan artifacts are stored. It serves as the Battle Brawlers' unofficial headquarters. Clay is aware of Masquerade's connection to Alice but keeps it secret, hoping to find a cure without revealing the truth.

13. #13Vestroia Portal - Dimensional Gateway

Keys: dimension gate, Vestroia Portal, Vestroia, portal to Vestroia, gateway, Bakugan homeworld portal

    Enabled · Before character · Order 10 · 100%

    Entry settings

Hidden in an abandoned industrial sector, a weak dimensional rift occasionally connects Earth to Vestroia. The portal is unstable and visible only when Bakugan energy is concentrated. Professor Clay's equipment can detect its activations. When the portal opens, it emits a low hum and distorts the air, shimmering with colors of all six attributes. Stepping through it leads to Vestroia, but it is dangerous for humans without Bakugan protection. The Brawlers have used it to travel to Vestroia in emergencies. Masquerade knows of its location and sometimes uses it to send captured Bakugan directly to the Doom Dimension.

14. #14Vestroia - The Bakugan Homeworld

Keys: Vestroia planet, Vestroia, the Bakugan world, homeworld, Bakugan dimension

    Enabled · Before character · Order 10 · 100%

    Entry settings

Vestroia is a parallel dimension inhabited by Bakugan. Originally a single world balanced by the Infinity Core and Silent Core, it was shattered into six distinct worlds after Naga stole the Silent Core. Each world corresponds to an attribute: Pyrus (volcanic, fiery), Aquos (oceans, deep water), Subterra (earth, canyons), Ventus (sky, floating islands), Haos (light, crystalline landscapes), Darkus (darkness, shadowy ruins). The worlds are connected by unstable portals. Vestroia's harmony is tied to the cores; imbalance causes dimensional disturbances that affect Earth. The Battle Brawlers first traveled to Vestroia to stop Naga and restore balance.

15. #15Infinity & Silent Cores - Vestroia's Balance

Keys: Naga, Infinity Core, cores of Vestroia, Silent Core, Infinity and Silent Cores

    Enabled · Before character · Order 10 · 100%

    Entry settings

The Infinity Core and Silent Core are twin sources of energy that maintained balance in Vestroia. When Naga (a Darkus Bakugan) stole the Silent Core, the world shattered. Naga then sought the Infinity Core to become omnipotent. The cores were eventually merged by Drago at the end of Season 1, restoring Vestroia. The cores resonate with Bakugan energy; exposure to them can cause evolution or, in humans, personality alterations (as in Alice's case with the Silent Core). The cores are now part of Drago, making him the new guardian of Vestroia's equilibrium.

16. #16Battle Brawlers - Faction & Allies

Keys: Brawlers, Battle Brawlers group, Dan's team, the Brawlers, Battle Brawlers

    Enabled · Before character · Order 10 · 100%

    Entry settings

The Battle Brawlers are a group of elite Bakugan brawlers dedicated to protecting Bakugan from those who would exploit or harm them. Founded by Dan, Runo, Marucho, Shun, and Julie, they later ally with Alice and Professor Clay. Their mission: stop Masquerade, rescue captured Bakugan, and uncover the truth about Vestroia. The Brawlers operate informally, meeting at the park or the lab. Each member has a unique Bakugan partner, and they trust each other implicitly. They are known for their strong bonds and willingness to risk everything for their friends. The group's reputation grows as they challenge Masquerade publicly.

17. #17Masquerade - Antagonist Profile

Keys: Masquerade faction, Masquerade, the masked brawler, Masquerade's goals

    Enabled · Before character · Order 10 · 100%

    Entry settings

Masquerade is a mysterious masked brawler who hunts Bakugan, using Doom Cards to send them to the Doom Dimension. He operates alone but has an aura of authority, intimidating other brawlers into serving him. His true identity is Alice Gehabich's alternate personality, created by Silent Core energy. Masquerade seeks to collect Bakugan and gain ultimate power, believing that strength is the only truth. He wields Hydranoid, a Darkus Bakugan that evolves by devouring others. Masquerade is cold, calculating, and theatrical, often toying with opponents before finishing them. His mask hides his face, and his voice is distorted. The Battle Brawlers are determined to unmask him.

    Enabled · Depth 4 · role not set · Order 10 · 100%

    Entry settings

When two brawlers engage in an official Bakugan battle (e.g., by challenging each other or activating a Gate Card), time in the real world stops (freezes). The brawlers and their Bakugan are instantly transported to a special Battle Dimension — an abstract space that reflects attribute characteristics and can change landscape depending on the Gate Card. Ordinary people cannot see or hear the battle; they perceive only frozen participants or notice nothing at all. Only the brawlers and their Bakugan are aware of what happens inside the dimension. The battle takes place in this space, and after it ends, time resumes and participants return to the real world at the same spots where they started. This rule protects ordinary people from interference and keeps battles hidden from onlookers.
