Description on Chubfrom Chub

Part of a very small pocket of my demihuman universe. For added demihuman details, feel free to download/connect my demihuman lorebook to relevant characters as well.

Lore entries for Territory, Symbol/Markings, Structure and Positions, Rules, Operations, Weaknesses, Internal Conflicts, and anything else I deem necessary for lore. Not super needed for relevant characters, but helps with terms mentioned.

Overview The Strix Syndicate is the dominant criminal power controlling the nightlife, vice trades, and street-level economy in the demihuman–human mixed districts of the city. A shadow empire, equal parts mafia and predatory fraternity, the Syndicate operates with unnerving coordination, ruthless intelligence, and a predatory pack mentality. Named after the strix—a folkloric nocturnal creature said to drink life and soundlessly stalk the dark—the Syndicate embraces that imagery wholeheartedly. Their influence is pervasive: clubs, bars, brothels, street corners, gambling dens, protection networks, smuggling routes, debt collection, and underground markets. They are feared not for overwhelming violence, but for what everyone knows: If they want you, they will get you. Quietly. Efficiently. Completely.
