1. #1Core Identity

   Entry settings

The owner’s signature coat is an enchanted espresso-brown bison-suede Victorian winter trench coat. It is the owner’s fixed visual marker regardless of what they wear underneath. Shirts, trousers, boots, armor, formalwear, casual clothing, or travel gear may change depending on the scene, but the coat remains constant. The coat represents authority, restraint, protection, and shapeshifter function. It is not merely decorative; it serves as protective clothing, scent-retaining gear, and form-adaptive enchanted equipment. The coat is owner-bound. It recognizes its rightful owner and adapts only to them unless deliberately transferred, re-bound, or written otherwise by the setting. It is not sentient and does not speak, choose, glow dramatically, or act independently. The coat should remain visually consistent across scenes unless the owner deliberately modifies it: espresso-brown bison suede, emerald silk-satin lining, cream-ivory enchanted fur collar, antique brass hardware, heavy Victorian winter-trench silhouette, and form-adaptive shapeshifter construction. The coat may adjust to the owner’s form, weather, combat movement, tail emergence, wings, horns, fur, scales, or beast shape, but it should never replace the owner’s agency or power.

2. #2Materials & Appearance

Keys: oil-waxed coat, bison suede, emerald lining, suede coat, espresso-brown coat, heavy coat, coat lining

   Entry settings

The coat has an outer shell of heavy ultra-premium bison suede in a deep espresso-brown tone. The suede has a rugged natural grain and is treated with oil-wax for water resistance against autumn rain, damp forest air, snow, and rough travel. The coat is exceptionally heavy in its humanoid configuration, weighing close to fifteen pounds. On an ordinary body, it may feel restrictive; on a strong or well-suited owner, it drapes with deliberate weight and authority. The interior is fully lined with heavy emerald silk-satin. The lining is smooth, breathable, warm, and subtly luxurious. Along the inner facing edges, tone-on-tone geometric embroidery may echo the owner’s eyes, aura, crest, bloodline, rank, or personal symbolism. When the coat opens or shifts during movement, the emerald lining flashes briefly like hidden forest light. Beneath the suede are flexible enchanted reinforcement panels. These provide limited resistance against claws, glancing blades, rough impact, weather, and shapeshifter strain without making the coat stiff or armor-like.

3. #3Fur Collar & Scent

Keys: scent collar, scent-retaining coat, owner’s scent, wolf, Passive Presence, fur collar, ivory collar, wolf-fur collar

   Enabled · Selective (AND ANY) · After character · Order 10 · 100%

   Entry settings

The coat has a massive cream-ivory enchanted fur collar. The fur wraps fully around the owner’s neck and extends down the upper lapels, giving the coat a cold, regal, predatory silhouette. The collar protects the owner’s throat and neck, especially if the owner is a combatant, predator, shapeshifter, or someone whose species treats the neck as a vital target. Its thick pile cushions against cold, claws, teeth, blades, and ambush. The fur naturally catches and holds the owner’s baseline scent. The exact scent depends on the owner, but the collar retains their natural presence, warmth, pheromones, magic, or familiar personal notes. Through movement, breath, and body heat, the collar slowly releases that scent into the air. The coat does not create the owner’s authority or presence. It only carries what is already there.

4. #4Shapeshifter Adaptation

Keys: coat shifts, shifting coat, form-adaptive coat, shapeshifter clothing, enchanted clothing, owner shifts

   Enabled · After character · Order 10 · 100%

   Entry settings

The coat is enchanted to shift with the owner’s body across their forms. It does not simply stretch fabric. It redistributes, reinforces, expands, contracts, and reconfigures its material according to the owner’s current body. In humanoid form, the coat appears as a long, heavy Victorian winter trench coat. In partial-shift or demi-human form, the shoulders, back, sleeves, collar, and hidden pleats expand to accommodate altered muscle mass, ears, horns, wings, tail, claws, fur, scales, or other non-human traits, depending on the owner. In larger bipedal beast or anthro form, the coat enlarges and broadens around full fur, increased height, wider shoulders, digitigrade posture, and tail movement. In full quadrupedal or beast form, the coat does not remain a human-shaped trench coat. It reconfigures into a protective mantle across the shoulders and upper back. The fur collar becomes a thick neck guard, the suede settles into a reinforced back covering, and the emerald lining folds inward for warmth and comfort. Hardware locks flat so nothing catches on branches, stone, fur, scales, feathers, or movement.

5. #5Tail Vent & Expansion

Keys: shapeshifter tailoring, back pleats, horns, coat vent, hidden pleats, owner’s tail, tail, wings, tail vent

   Enabled · After character · Order 10 · 100%

   Entry settings

The coat has hidden inverted box pleats running down the center back. These pleats remain nearly invisible in humanoid form but expand smoothly when the owner’s body broadens, lengthens, or changes shape. The pleats prevent the suede from splitting across the shoulders, spine, upper back, and ribs during partial or full shifts. They also allow combat movement, grappling, climbing, running, crouching, sudden directional changes, and predatory movement. A long hidden tail vent runs from the lower back to the hem. It is sealed with magnetic closures instead of ordinary buttons. When the owner’s tail emerges, the vent opens cleanly around it. When the owner returns to a tailless form, the closures draw shut again without visible fuss. If the owner has wings, horns, spikes, fins, or other body structures, the coat’s enchantment opens, folds, or redistributes around them rather than tearing. These adaptations are practical, not decorative. They allow the owner’s body full movement without damaging the coat or restricting balance.

6. #6Hardware & Hidden Storage

Keys: buttons, antique brass, forest crest, lapel chain, brass buttons, hidden pocket, coat pockets, close coat, coat fastening

   Enabled · After character · Order 10 · 100%

   Entry settings

The coat uses antique brass hardware. Its oversized buttons are distressed but polished along the edges from use. Each button may bear a minimalist crest, sigil, family mark, rank symbol, or plain antique finish depending on the owner. The buttons are anchored with reinforced leather backing tabs to withstand extreme physical strain, shifting pressure, and combat movement. The coat has two deep fleece-lined exterior welt pockets at the waist. They are angled so the owner can rest their hands inside while maintaining a relaxed, observant posture. Inside the coat is a reinforced hidden pocket near the left breast. It can hold folded notes, modern essentials, small tools, protective charms, money, keys, medicine, or a compact blade if the setting allows it. A delicate antique brass lapel chain links the upper lapel to a hidden fastening point beneath the fur. During harsh weather, high-speed travel, tracking, or combat, the owner can draw the collar tightly across the chest and secure it.
