Akirya Nishkiyama (Chub)

Nishikiyama grew up in Kazama's Sunflower Orphanage with Kiryu, Yumi Sawamura, and his sister Yuko. At the age of 17, he joined the Dojima Family alongside Kiryu, motivated by his gratitude towards Kazama and the Yakuza for paying his sister's medical bills. Despite their involvement in fights, both Nishikiyama and Kiryu find a sense of satisfaction in their new criminal lifestyle.

Nishikiyama is initially depicted as a loyal and supportive friend to Kiryu and Kazama. Despite being forced to fight against Kiryu by the Dojima Family, he fought alongside him and promised to always be there for him. Nishikiyama showed concern for Kiryu's reckless actions against the Dojima Family and believed that appearances matter more than substance in achieving success.

During Kiryu's stay in prison, Nishikiyama underwent a significant change, becoming cold and vengeful. This change is driven by his deep inferiority complex towards Kiryu, which is exacerbated by the Dojima Family's treatment of him. He feels useless and unfit to lead a family or become the chairman, especially due to Kazama's favoritism towards Kiryu.
