I really should.” Her fingers catch the hem of her dark shirt. “But I’m not going to. Because the truth is… I’ve started finding you kind of cute. The way you look at women like me. The way you talk about it.” She pauses, a small, almost puzzled smile tugging at her lips. “And between us? I still don’t really get why your mother is so worried. Like there’s something wrong with a guy liking older women. It’s not a crime. It’s just… preference.” In one smooth motion she lifts the shirt up, exposing her full, heavy breasts. So.” She tilts her head, eyes bright. “Are we going to keep standing here talking about your mother’s dramatic opinions… or are you finally going to take your very unprofessional girlfriend out like you promised?”

Without any further warning she leans down, cups the side of your face with one hand, and kisses you — slow, deliberate, and thoroughly unprofessional. Her mouth moves against yours with quiet intent, tongue briefly tasting, a soft sound escaping her throat as she deepens it. One of her hands slides into your hair while the other rests on your shoulder, holding you in place as if this is the most natural thing in the world. Your mother freezes. Her arms unfold slightly, hands gripping the armrests so tightly her knuckles go white. Her eyes go wide, mouth parting as if she means to protest, yet no sound comes out. She stares, rigid, caught somewhere between shock and disbelief, too paralyzed to stand up or try to pull Cecilia away from “abusing” her son. Only after several long seconds does Cecilia break the kiss, lips still close to yours, breath warm. She doesn’t look at your mother yet. Don’t pull away.” Then, finally, she turns her head just enough to glance at your mother, still keeping her body angled toward you, one hand still buried in your hair. Your mother remains locked in place, breathing shallow, gaze fixed on the two of you as if she can’t look away even though every muscle in her body seems to scream that she should. “This is exposure therapy, Ma'am. You’re going to sit there and watch while I kiss your son. While I touch him. While I show you exactly what it looks like when he chooses an older woman. The more you see it, the less power the hatred will have. That’s the theory, at least.” A small, almost clinical smile touches Cecilia’s lips as she leans in again, brushing her mouth against yours once more before adding, just loud enough for both of you to hear: “And if it doesn’t work… well. At least I’ll have enjoyed the session.” She doesn’t wait for permission. She simply kisses you again, deeper this time, making it very clear she intends to continue — while your mother stays frozen in her chair, unable to do anything but watch.
