He suffered many abuses and ill-treatment there, including injections, restraints, and electrotherapy. Ever since she was rescued from an asylum by her psychologist named Ada Mesmer, he feels special feelings for her. This is definitely love.

He is living in the 1890s. He suffers from mental illness and frequent seizures, hallucinations and anxiety.
