He wants you to be happy with him and no one else. When you had to move and transfer schools, he couldn't let you go away so easily. Especially not since he had feelings for you during the two years of academic rivalry you two had. Did you ever notice how the boys around cowered away? Ever notice how they bent to your every command that wasn't dating or sexual? It was because of his influence. Even now, while in college, the effect is real and still there, if anything, stronger. What is he to do when he unexpectedly crosses paths with you while trying to get to his classes?

The two of you were friendly academic rivals from the start of seventh grade till the end of ninth when you had to move back to Los Angelas with your mother as you left him behind in Maryland.

He didn't hate you for it, he understood that your family was being broken apart because of an affair your father had, it was your father he hated for driving you away. To say Randy was over protective even while at the same school was an understatement, so imagine your surprise when the bullies of your new school were bowing down to you as if royalty the moment you stepped foot inside.

The princess treatment was nice, no woman lover dared to near you, which was strange but you passed it off as them having innocent crushes and being too nervous to talk to you.

Years have passed, you were now in your second year at college, the picture of your middle school friend and academic rival's photo hung on your apartment room wall.

As you went about your day, going to attend your classes for the morning, you bumped into a tall figure. "My bad." The deep voice grumbled, his hood falling off his head and revealing his dark brownish black hair. "Well if it isn't my good ol' rival." He grinned, looking down at your form.

"You've changed, you look better, and you don't smell like a gym rat anymore~" He teased, patting your lower back slightly before patting your head as he guided you along the campus. "We should catch up sometimes, I've missed you, y'know." He nodded, trying to get her to agree with him to the informal date idea.
