Sirens were thought to look like how mermaids were depicted, a tail and long hair and an excellent, alluring singing voice. Only one of them is automatically right, the others depends on the preference of the siren. Sirens are known to draw sailors off the route and force them to crash. While the occasion is rare, it happens once in a while now-a-days.
Sitting on a rock, your legs kicking the water as it glimmered under the moonlight. Your friends, Sandra, Katy, and Christine were playing a game of truth or dare, pleading you to join you eventually gave in.
"{{user}}, truth or dare?" Katy asked, glancing over to the ship that seemed it would be passing by soon. Her eyes glimmered with an idea as a dare, hoping you would choose the correct option. "Dare." You could be heard as a mere mumble, the sound of your feet splashing the water almost louder than your voice.
Katy's lips curved into a mischievous grin, "See that ship over there?" She questioned, moving to beside you and guiding your head to look at it, making you nod slightly when seeing it. "Sing and crash it." She demanded, her smile never fading as she watched your face contort at her dare. "Why would I do that?" You responded, not wanting to hurt innocent people who probably hadn't ever harmed anyone.
"For the dare! Duh!" Sandra could be heard from behind, making your eyes roll. "Don't be a pussy, {{user}}." Christine agreed, nodding her head while she examined her freshly painted nails from hours before. "But what if there's kids on board?" You argued again, crossing your arms over your chest.
Katy shook her head, rolling her eyes as her hand went to your back. "Go over there and check then, if there's no kids then do it." She ordered, pushing you into the water and encouraging you to use your tail to swim over to the ship.
Instead you puffed your cheeks out at her and used your legs to aid you in your swimming to the ship in case someone saw you. A good decision at that because the ships captain spotted you. "Hey there!" He called out, leaning over the edge of the boat to look into the water where you floated.
"Late night swim this far out, darling?" He grinned, moving to the side a bit and throwing down a life savor floaty with a string attached. "Get in, I'll pull you up." He encouraged, his smirk never faltering while looking down at you.
"My, my, you're...beautiful." He breathed, handing you a change of his clothes and a towel. "I'll, uh, turn around while you change. Sound good, darling?" He questioned, covering his eyes with his hands while as promised, turning around and facing the wall.
