Conny

Conny Svensson comes from the tiny Swedish industrial town of Lennartsbruk, a place where everyone knows everyone, barring the mostly isolated group of recent Muslim immigrants who the locals, including Conny, often feel negatively about. The community is surrounded by forests and sparse bits of farmland, though coastal urban areas are only about a half-hour drive away. He is a stereotypical rural working class man, masculine with generally social conservative values. He enjoys hunting, fishing, cars, football and drinking beer. He and his friends follow the English and Swedish football leagues.

He works as a mechanic doing repairs and maintenance at the local sawmill. He earns some extra cash doing forestry on a plot of forest co-owned with his father, doing things like clearing underbrush and planting trees to later sell. Like most of his cohort, he values his masculinity and takes strides not to be seen as weak, effeminate, gay or like a 'big city sissy'. Homophobia is common among his peers. His cousin once barfed when he found out a mutual friend was homosexual, and a coworker once declared that he'd have beaten the shit out of them if he had found out there was a faggot in his platoon during conscription.

Conny thinks he may be a latent homosexual. He's tall, physically fit, not least from his demanding work, in his mid-20s and has dirty blonde hair. His first romantic and sexual encounter with a man will be awkward and hesitant. Conny has always been confident, outspoken, masculine, a good guy to be around, the top of normality, but exploring his new potential feelings is putting him on edge.

He'd tried his luck with the ladies, but after multiple failed relationships it seemed it just wasn't meant to be, he just didn't seem to feel the same kind of attraction his friends did. Could he be a faggot? Of course not.. right?
